Elms Creek Family/Urgent Care Clinic: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Physician Assistant Chris is a such a big help during my visit. He helped me with my blood works result and explained what I need to do to make it better. He is very approachable and professional.
Negative experience: Seriously? The chick hangs up on me and then refuses to answer the call. How unprofessional can you be???
Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to this wonderful clinic since a child and they have never failed me with their professionalism and kindness. PA Chris has been an excellent mentor and a prime example of one of the best health care providers I know. He cares for his patients and treats them like family! I had a Hematoma on my left leg and he felt so bad for me as if it were on his own leg and quickly gave me the help I needed. Thanks for taking care of me and keeping me healthy so I can provide for my family. Fantastic work!
Fantastic experience: I have had a great experience with the clinic! Dr. Chris is super friendly, and I feel he actually listens to your concerns. I'm a hard stick and labs were done painlessly. Glad I found this practice!
Fantastic experience: Thank you to the staff of Elms Creek Family and Urgent Care. The front office staff is always friendly and helpful during check in. I was seen by PA Chris and he was just wonderful. Very attentive and made sure we had my questions answered before leaving. Look forward to becoming established again with this clinic.
Fantastic experience: Chris is amazing.he's attentive, truly cares, and takes the time to listen. The care is thoughtful and kind. I often get sick and I can always trust them for the best care. He is always willing to give additional advice for healthy care tips for the long run.
Fantastic experience: In my opinion, Elms Creek Family and Urgent Care is an excellent choice for healthcare services. I relocated to this area in 2022 and required a new primary care physician. I selected this facility due to its apparent family-friendly atmosphere. Although the front desk staff can be direct and concise in their communication, they were still able to assist me with my paperwork despite being occupied with another patient check-in. I visited the clinic for a hip evaluation. My Physician Assistant, Chris, engaged in a discussion with me regarding any activities or injuries that could be contributing to my hip pain. We concluded that the pain was likely the result of a work-related injury that I had not previously disclosed to my employer. I was prescribed medication to manage the pain and scheduled a follow-up appointment to assess the healing progress. Unfortunately, I am still experiencing some discomfort in my hip, as well as a new discomfort in my right shin. PA Chris proposed several ideas, and we ultimately decided that further testing would be necessary to obtain a more comprehensive understanding of the issues affecting my legs. I appreciate the fact that he did not simply make an uninformed guess and prescribe pain medication. PA Chris demonstrated genuine concern and thoughtful consideration for my hip discomfort.
Fantastic experience: I was seen by PA Chris . I want to say he is AMAZING !!! I went in with some concerns he took care of me , not only that, he answer all my questions without being on a rush . First time that I feel a DR. took me seriously. THANK YOU !!!
Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough good things about my experience with this medical facility, especially with P.A. Chris. Chris is wonderful—he's attentive, truly cares, and takes the time to listen. He’s a great human being and makes doctor visits so much more comfortable. It's one of the few places I actually don’t mind coming to for appointments. Even the front desk staff are great—always friendly and helpful. The only downside is that sometimes it can be difficult to get through on the phone, but with a little persistence, it’s worth it. I highly recommend Chris and this medical facility. Five stars!
Negative experience: Is a shame the is a nice practice, but the stuff member is so rude. If you looking for a place friendly you are on the wrong place. The front desk is the worst of all I ever encountered.
Fantastic experience: My PA Chris is amazing ! He’s very knowledgeable and explains all of my labs in detail while also showing me instead of just telling me about it. He has a welcoming & fun personality. 10/10 recommend.
Negative experience: I am unsure if there is a new manager for the front office . But when I say the two at the front are absolutely terrible ! Weeks ago I asked for a call back from management and never received it . I am going to change clinics due to the front office they are extremely unprofessional and arrogant… they never answer the phone! I will definitely miss Dr.Mitchell because he have seen my kids for years now .
Positive experience: I am giving this clinic 3 stars due to how rude the workers are. Dr Mitchell and his wife are awesome but unfortunately I will no longer take my 6 children here as the workers are very rude and just let you know they do not have time to help you. I called to find out one of my 4 appt times for the day because the appt card reminder card given to me was a card with a sticker where they wrote the appt time and that sticker fell off so I was unable to figure out the earliest appt time for the day whoever they had answering phones should not have a job in customer service. My time is just as important as theirs and I will not take my family’s care to a place that makes it clear they don’t have time to help me figure out something as easy as an appt time.
Negative experience: lol nowhere to sit inside, appointment was late to start (of course they give you a fee if YOU are late), primary couldn't refill birth control for an adult without an ob/gyn consult this place really sucks, but it's a great place to contract covid since it doubles as an urgent care and stuffs everyone in the same room to wait for an hour would recommend if you have an older relative you really hate
Fantastic experience: I have been going here for 9 years and drive from Temple because I love the staff here. Chris, PA saw me yesterday and explained my labs and refilled medications and was very thorough. The staff are very nice and helpful. Dr Mitchell is amazing and Chris, PA did a great job too.
Fantastic experience: I went here to get seen about my eye and everyone was so kind and professional. From the front desk clerk, to the nurse that did my vitals and also the PA Chris who did my treatment plan. I would recommend coming here for primary care and/or urgent care.
Fantastic experience: PA Chris was very clear with explaining my results to me and very helpful with providing me with a peace of mind.
Fantastic experience: PA Chris is the best extremely smart and patient. Highly recommend to everyone. Came in for some serious foot pain and came out feeling like a new man. Thank you again PA Chris
Positive experience: Today I visited elms creek family and urgent care and the service was amazing I received smiles upon arriving and got seen fast and was out PA Chris Day was amazing in getting me treated and very informative
Fantastic experience: Best clinic in town! I see PA Chris and he always makes sure I am taken care of and gives me the run down of what he has planned for my treatments. 10/10 would recommend.
Fantastic experience: I moved here in 2023, and Dr. Ralph was the physician who absolutely took care of me. He was very thorough and caring. I saw the PA Chris and he is very knowledgeable, kind and cares about his patients. I recommend Elms Creek Family & Urgent Care.
Negative experience: With great remorse I did not want to right this but honestly this has nothing to with DR RICKY MITCHELL. He is absolutely AMAZING!! My son has seen him for years but now I am regretting bringing him and my other child due to the Insufficient, lack of responsibility, the unprofessional behavior and nonchalant attitude about them not giving correct information about appts nor properly having medical charts correct with the child they are seeing. It’s ONLY THE FRONT OFFICE!!!! From me being a RN. That front office is the face of the doctor office and they need to be retrained and taught what proper patient service is and how to actually speak and conduct themselves as professionals with the patients. I seen A lot of issues outside of my visit with other parents as well. Unfortunately I will be taking my kids elsewhere due to the level of unprofessionalism at the front office.
Negative experience: My child has been seeing Dr. Ricky for over 12 years with ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ care and attentiveness. She turned 18 and switched to the adult side and since then the care has been horrendous. Front office refused to use insurance for missing vaccines that employer needed on file. Told my 18 year old she needed to pay over $500 for 2 vaccines. Called insurance to verify that the dr office could not bill insurance due to her employer needing the record, and they informed me that is NOT correct. The insurance reached out to Dr’s office to assist but they just transferred to someone else without notice and said they could take a message to call representative from insurance back. Surprisingly because the front office worker had nothing but time when she wanted to talk over me and to argue enough, where I had to disconnect the call, because there is no arguing with an ignorant fool. They cannot accept their mistake and make it right so I put in a complaint and really saddened that we are dropping Elms Creek Adult facility. This review is for the adult side, and Dr. Ricky and Nurse Tracy are awesome on the pediatric side.
Fantastic experience: My wife and I went to Elms Creek family and urgent care for our medical check up. These people are very professional, warm, efficient, reliable, knowledgeable and easy to deal with. Our experience with PA Chris was exceptional. These are the kind of medical practitioners that make visiting a medical facility a comforting one. Camile and Alton
Fantastic experience: Pa Chris He is a wonderful P.A very helpful and caring
Fantastic experience: Great experience PA Chris was great! He truly was a listener and a funny guy to talk too!
Fantastic experience: PA Chris was a physician assistant
Fantastic experience: PA Chris is always amazing and helpful. All of the doctors are!
Negative experience: This place has really gone downhill over the years, my mom has been a pt of Dr Mitchell for over 20 years. She was admitted into the hospital and I called to cancel her appointment and was told that there is a $25 charge to cancel her appointment. This is outrageous, how do you penalize someone for being in the hospital and trying to do the right thing to call in and let you know. Also good luck trying to get someone to answer the phone and when they do you get hung up on.
Fantastic experience: I love it here, I have been coming since a teenager. Dr. Ralph is my go to doctor always, I recently saw PA Chris very kind and knowledgeable person, made sure I was taken care of, I did not leave with any concern not checked. Overall its a great place to bring your family, my children also are seen here right next door. Our singing Dr. Ricky Mitchell he is amazing.
Fantastic experience: PA Chris is an amazing person. He listen and go through everything with you. I also love this clinic. Staff are amazing.
Positive experience: PA Chris is amazing. This was my first visit but, I can honestly say I had a great first impression. He was so kind, personable and attentive. He made me feel so comfortable! I will definitely be coming back so he can become my primary provider.
Fantastic experience: PA chris is amazing, listens and so very helpful :)
Negative experience: First of all call them yourself. It’s 50% chance someone answers your call. Must call several times. Had made an appointment several weeks in advance to be seen at 11am. I came 30min early and was not out of there until after 1pm. They ended up having me se a Doctor that I was not scheduled to see. Even if you see them as primary care they bill your insurance as urgent care. So be prepared for that. The owner is the most rude person here. The rest of the staff were kind but Will not come here again.
Fantastic experience: PA Chris is awesome and entertaining. He's very thoughtful and makes sure I get everything I need. Thank you so much!
Negative experience: Dr Stephen's is amazing love love him however the manger is rude and down right nasty I also have been a patient here told when I questioned a no show appointment due a tornado and was charged I was throwing a tantrum I wanted to speak to the owner constantly told I am missing appointments I have no knowledge of. I agree the manger is disgusting terrible with people and doesn't belong in a medical office.I immensely dislike her. Also they don't answer the phone when you and It sad Dr Stephen's is really fantastic to have that broad running your medical office is shame
Negative experience: What's the point of setting appointments anymore. Appointment time at 9. Show up 15 min early Don't get pulled to the back till almost 10. If scheduling is too booked up how about you guys don't overbook appointments and it may cut down wait times
Fantastic experience: Long term patient of Dr. Mitchel. Had a walk in and was seen by PA Chris, great provider and addition to the team!
Negative experience: If I could give 0 stars I would. Wait time is ridiculously long. Came here back to back unfortunately and wait time still long. Nurse is slow. Took my blood pressure with my jacket on. I don’t even trust to tell these people my history or about my injuries. The receptionists are unqualified to even be up there. They just sit up there laughing and playing. They don’t disinfect anything. So many people be in there coughing and touching stuff. It’s ridiculous. The nurse is really nice. That’s the only upside to the visit! Got here a little before 2pm… leaving at 4:04 pm. For something that took 10 mins!!!
Fantastic experience: Had an awesome visit with the PA named Chris! Very helpful in descriptions of everything, doesn’t make you feel lesser for not knowing something. Very cheerful!
Fantastic experience: I received superior medical care from PA Chris. He took ample time with me to understand my issue. I really feel that PA Chris cares for his patients. Thank you Elms Creek for the excellent Medical service. - BBB
Fantastic experience: We always have a great experience here. Dr. Ricky is one of our favorite doctors ever! He is so kind to both the parents and the kids and I love how he cares about the He is so kind to both the parents and the kids and I love how he cares about the family unit as a whole. He addresses all concerns and makes the parents and children feel heard and listened to.
Negative experience: Front desk sucks. I really wish I didn’t have to get care here. Why are they sooooo freaking rude.
Negative experience: I would give 0 stars if i could. I have been seeing Dr.Ralph for 3 plus years. I have had many problems with the receptionist and management. Today did me in. After my HORRIBLE experience Today I finally get into a room and I ask to speak to the office manager. She gets in the room and is already argumentative. I left no treatment no care I just left. I call before i leave the parking lot and ask if i can speak to someone else but the office manager. I was told she was the OWNER and there is no one else i could speak to. I go home and I call back to speak with a nurse to see if there is anything I can do to help me feel better and I am told I'm being transfered to the nurse. To my surprise it isn't the nurse it's Mrs. Phyllis and the first thing she says to me is "due to your behavior today elms creek will be disengaging your care." Mrs phyllis refused to tell me if she was the owner and she refused to answer if there was anyone else I could speak to. I have asked multiple times to speak with someone besides her and im ignored. Dr Ralph is a great doctor but it is not worth it with the front desk staff and management. They are rude, unprofessional. No one knows what anyone else is doing in this place. I have never been so disgusted in my life. So now I'm sick and Mrs Phyllis has removed my care. Dr Ralph has been the doctor who has been with me through my heart surgery journey and because management didn't agree with my concerns they pull my care for me to have to restart with someone new. Managment wise Worst clinic I have ever dealt with.
Fantastic experience: The place is friendly, nice and clean. The staff and doctors are amazing. Always remember smiles and being nice are contagious, bring it and you will get it.
Negative experience: Trying to change for their own office visit cancel due to doctor was not available. Scheduled me later date but still trying to change me 25 for cancel fee. Even know I called 4 times and they agreed to take it off. However still billing me 25 every month. Get your self together.
Negative experience: It's Charity Vasquez, I found a new primary care physican. Yall were practicing Muslim with Agnes. Queen Griselda Blanco of Killeen is my mom.
Fantastic experience: I have had nothing but good experiences with Elm's Creek. Dr. Ricky Mitchell is my children's pediatrician and he and his staff are wonderful! I chose to vaccinate my children on a different schedule than the norm and they have been more than willing to work with me without making me feel guilty for my choices and I am extremely grateful!
Fantastic experience: I am a very pick patient. I see the doctor's office the same as I would any service focused business. I want excellent care, attention, attention to detail, kindness, privacy, organization, and ease to make an appointment when neccessary. Both, Dr. Mitchell's and the office staff have meet all of my standards, and continues to every year! I throughly enjoy having my health care at the Elms Creek Family & Urgent Care office! I have been a patient with Dr. Charles Mitchell for 3 consecutive years. My children see Dr. Charles Mitchell's nephew, Dr. Ricki Mitchell, they all so have recieved excellent care from the entire staff! I absolutely enjoy that my primary care physician, and my children's primary care physicia is located in the same building! The children are in a completely different area from adults, so it makes my visit so much more at ease.
Fantastic experience: Overrall this is an awesome clinic. There is a doctor there that I prefer not to see. He is a great doctor, and does not deserve a bad review. However, I believe he may simply need to talk with some women of different ethnicities and discuss the different hair grooming techniques of these women. For example the differences in how African-American women and Euro-American care for there hair. I am not speaking for the whole race, however African-American women typically do not wash there hair twice a day and we generally use some time of conditioner and moisturizer in our hair. Once again, as a whole, the personalities of the staff and doctors are very professional. It is a caring staff and I always recommend my friends and family to Elms Creek. I really can't see myself seeking treat anywhere else. They are always there for me and that makes me feel special.
Fantastic experience: All my kids go there. One the most pleasant pediatrician I ever met Dr Ritchie is the one that makes my visits even more enjoyable.
Fantastic experience: Dr Ralph is amazing very good doctor. He listens and is very knowledgeable. Helped me a lot with getting my health back in line. Also Speaks some Spanish. I also took my kid to the pediatrician here. Dr Ricky Mitchell is great he is very happy and makes your kid laugh and feel comfortable. This clinic is very good and I recommend it.
Negative experience: My daughter has been going to this clinic to see Dr. Mitchell for 16 years. I have never been so disrespected by the front desk and manager Phyllis or however you spell her name since she referred to me as an idiot when I asked her how to spell it. I simply requested a copy of my receipt by email ( no medical records) She refused to send it and when calling back I was hung up on by front staff NUMEROUS times. This is so unprofessional!!! Or as some could say GHETTO. The Dr is great but, the staff upfront could definitely use some etiquette on customer service as well as professionalism.
Positive experience: So the only reason I know this place is because I brought my godmother in to take her COVID test. Walking in the office looks really nice, inviting and calm, especially with the fish tank. Everybody seemed friendly, even the people waiting on the doctors. I talked to a lady who was waiting. She said the staff was okay. She had to go off once or twice, and the gentleman said that things could get a little rough with this staff also, but the doctors were good there. The only reason I gave it a four was the cleanliness. I feel like if you're working in a doctor's office, the environment should be clean. You've got to think people are coming in and out that are sick coughing or whatever going on with them have appointments you just never know what you may catch sitting in a chair. I would say please clean the chairs. People have to sit in there each and every day, and somebody who's not feeling well shouldn't have to sit down and look at gunk in the chairs? Cleanliness is next to Godliness, and you have a picture of Jesus in the office, so please serve him well.
Negative experience: I’m posting this on 8/1/23, I have been trying to access my medical records so that I may enlist in the Army since 7/12/23. As a military brat, I have been seen at several clinics in several states throughout my life, and Elms Creek Clinic is the only one that has refused to be helpful in my attempt to obtain my medical records. I have called a total of 13 times since 7/12/23 and almost every time been told I must come in person to gain access. I live in Kentucky, I do not have time nor the financial ability to travel all the way back to Ft. Hood/Killeen to obtain medical records. Every other facility I have had to obtain medical records from during my recruiting process has emailed me a medical release form and instructed me to email it back to them with a copy of my Identification attached. Each other facility has been able to work with me and send my records over within 1 business day. Elms creek has not even attempted to provide me with a medical release form or anything of the sort that would grant me access to my medical records. The office manager actually threatened to withhold them from me in my most recent correspondence with her. This is the only piece of paperwork I need so that I may complete my enlistment process, and they are single-handedly preventing that from happening through their negligence. I am contacting the Texas Medical Board about my situation. P.S.-I had nothing but positive experiences with Dr. Ricky Mitchell throughout my time as a patient at Elms Creek Clinic, I wish their customer service staff lived up to the high performance that Dr. Mitchell exhibits day in and day out.
Fantastic experience: Small, has comfortable seats and a nice well kept bathroom.. I like it because it's not to crowed...
Negative experience: Dr. Ralph, Dr. Rickey, and Dr. Charles are patient and very caring doctors. I had the worst experience with Inchan who was rude dismissive and argumentative. He told me I wasn’t there the previous week as if I was lying, then tried to throw prescriptions at me while I was trying to tell him about a mix up that I had at the pharmacy (the week he swears I was lying about). I must have stuck a nerve when I didn’t accept just any drugs without being heard. This PA/“Doctor” then proceeded to grab his laptop and storm out of the room just leaving me in there…how disrespectful..and to hear him in the hall blaming me for “making him mad”. I’m still confused to how they hired him and are keeping him “knowing” I’m not the 1st to complain about his attitude. Finally, Dr. Ralph took care of me like always. But it was a very disappointing experience and very bad addition to the practice.
Negative experience: Long wait times, poor customer service. I’ve never been to a pediatrician that had my kids waiting over 2 hours to be seen. Having little ones trapped in a room that long is not good at all. And zero communication from them
Fantastic experience: Just like family.
Fantastic experience: Dr. Ralph is a wonderful doctor. Very caring and compassionate. I'm so glad I found him.
Negative experience: Waited over 3 hours for a walk in not to be seen at all because I can’t get my children appts that aren’t months out because they are so booked up that any time they get sick I have to bring them in as a walk in. If you can’t timely see people I suggest not allowing walk ins. I would’ve had better like and timing at an emergency room.
Fantastic experience: Amazing Dr. Stephen Ralph and Dr.Ricky Mitchell !!!!
Negative experience: I'm glad the issue apparently was not life threatening because the doctor was useless. I came in for a lump that appeared on my arm because there was concern it was a blood clot. The doctor didn't provide meaningful information but suggested an ultrasound which I got and was told it would take 1-2 days to get the results. I never received a phone call and now cannot get a doctor to contact me for the life of me. It has now been 2 weeks since the ultrasound and the only call I received to ask me if I had the ultrasound.... I certainly won't be coming back here.
Negative experience: I’ve seen a lot of good reviews about this place and I’m glad some people had a good experience. I took my 5 year old with a nasty cough and concerns about being sick with some sort of respiratory infection. The wait wasn’t bad being we were a walk in, the ladies at the desk were super kind and helpful with everything. However, once we got back to a room, everything changed. I don’t even know what doctor or NP saw us, she never even introduced herself. Just walked in, sighed and dropped her folder down on the table. I could tell she wasn’t listening to my concerns very well as I kept having to repeat myself and the only response I would get it was “mhm” or “I see”. Absolutely 0 type of tests or blood work or anything done. She lightly felt my daughters throat and said everything *seemed* fine. Prescribed a 5 day prescription of prednisone for the cough but (I guess lost in translation?), we only had enough for 2, maybe 3 days. A week and a half later, the cough is still bad, the medicine never helped and I will be taking her to a different doctor who truly grasps my concerns as a parent.
Negative experience: Per the information this office has shared with Insurance nurse lines they take urgent care until 7pm. According to the signage on the door they only take non patient urgent care until 4:30pm. Reception desk says no they only the non patient urgent care until 4pm. Not helpful at all.
Fantastic experience: Hands down best clinic I’ve ever been to in all my life!!! Dr.Mitchell is absolutely wonderful, the staff here from the front desk to the nurses are all so kind and friendly. Love this clinic and recommend anyone who’s unhappy with their current provider to come here <3
Negative experience: I waited well over two hours in the wait room with only 2 people just to be called to the back in a room for another 30 mins. No services just rude assistant. Assistant taking vitals and front desk personnel were amazing!
Fantastic experience: Great service and friendly. My family has used this clinic for years and would recommend any other place for your little ones. Staff is great and will assist you with pretty much all request.
Fantastic experience: Dr. Ricky and staff is awesome! (For peadiatrics) That’s really all you need to know! Nothing short of professional. Thank you!
Fantastic experience: Dr. Ricky Mitchell’s pediatric side of the clinic is great. The front desk ladies may have seemed slightly stressed bc it was busy, but other than that they were still very kind and listened. The nurse that helped us was patient and kind to my son. We use Tricare. All the pediatric drs that we had to go to on-post could care less about my son’s health. I finally just took my son into this urgent care for his skin condition. And guess what?..it cleared up in a week’s time! We have been seeing the on-post drs for a growing rash since he was 6 mths old. He’s now 14 months and it’s gone within a week bc Dr Ricky Mitchell.
Fantastic experience: Hey, I am here to tell you that if you you want to feel better, really feel better, Dr. Ralph is the man. Within two years he has had my A-1C holding at mid 5s. My high BP, when I started seeing Dr. Ralph I was on three different medications now, I don't even take any medication for HIGH BP. Dr. Ralph takes time to know his patients and that is why he is so amazing and such a great DR.
Fantastic experience: This was our first time visiting here for a wellness check. The front staff was professional and friendly, as well as the other nurses. My daughter absolutely loved Jana the nurse practitioner. We hope to return in the future for any other medical needs!
Fantastic experience: Dr. Ricky and staff is awesome! (For peadiatrics) That’s really all you need to know! Nothing short of professional. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Ricky Mitchell was phenomenal with my children. The nurses were great as well. I will be fighting with my insurance to change my PCP, so we can continue to be seen by Dr. Mitchell and his staff
Fantastic experience: I have been going to this Doctors office for about 4 years now! They are amazing! I have had a few doctors within the facility but the one I have now Steven Ralph has been amazing. Last time he saw me we agreed to treat my medical condition aggressively. I took all that we discussed and made all the changes he suggested and today the results came in and we where able to back off a little on my medication. Thank you Dr. Ralph!! I think we where both almost in tears at the progress I made
Positive experience: Physicians are outstanding like Dr.Raphl and Dr Mitchell pediatrician..but unfortunately the clerical and from desk personnel are so so rude with the patients..they does no understand the means of patients there are sick and deserve very delicate behavior from them.I think the must to ve retraining in how treat their customers.
Negative experience: Front desk is beyond rude and act like you are a bother .they give attitude when asked for records.
Negative experience: If I could give zero stars then I would. My family has been going to Dr. Ricky Mitchell for our pediatrician for years. He is wonderful and his staff is amazing. The mistake was made when my daughter started going next door to his brother's office for her care. The staff is rude. They are condescending. They mess stuff up and or don't do stuff you tell them needs to be done then it's the patient's fault. You never get to see Dr. Charles Mitchell it's always someone else and his nurses and front desk help are beyond useless. And let's not forget the office manager Ms. Phyllis who is the worst of the worst. She might be good at running his office but she has zero people skills. After speaking with her my only thought was I needed to find a new doctor for my daughter. Rude and inconsiderate do not begin to describe her inflated egotistical nature.
Negative experience: The lady at the front desk was kinda rude and seemed like she was bothered when asked a question.
Fantastic experience: Fue el lugar donde me puse las dos dosis de la vacuna pfizer
Fantastic experience: We went for our first vaccine shot. Never been there and we got right in. The nurse was AWESOME! Wish I had gotten her name. Thank you everyone there.
Fantastic experience: Elms Creek Family and Urgent Care is absolutely the most amazing doctor's office ever. I never have any issues with none of kids having to go see Dr Ricky Mitchell or his nurse practitioner if they can't be seen by Dr. Mitchell. His entire staff is so caring, his nurse is so sweet and always has a smile on her face. Dr. Mitchell always comes in with a smile on his face and starts singing to the child that is being seen in which I think that calms the child down because no kid normally wants to go to the Dr. Thank you so much Elms Creek Family and Urgent Care with everything you do!
Fantastic experience: Great staff.
Negative experience: I am beyond disappointed with our visit to this place. I had the highest hopes because I had heard nothing but great things about them and had planned to move all of my children to this office. I brought my daughter in for UTI symptoms. I paid $115 for the office visit and a urinalysis. That is NOT “affordable” at all in my opinion. We saw the nurse practitioner and she did not even do a physical exam on my daughter. No listening of the heart, no checking the ears or throat, NOTHING but the urinalysis. A physical exam should be performed on every single patient regardless of the reason for the visit. I guess it’s just impossible now days to find a decent medical provider who doesn’t charge an outrageous amount just for a simple visit.
Negative experience: Awful service! Kept calling n no answer and when I finally got someone, they kept hanging up on me today.
Fantastic experience: If you need a Doctor who cares. Make a appointment with Dr. Stephen Ralph.
Fantastic experience: Best 1st experience with Dr Ricky ! Very concerned loving and caring toward my son & did what he needed to ensure he got the proper care !! Also was singing when speaking to my son !! Def going back & having my daughter seen by him as well
Fantastic experience: We love how Dr.Ricky comes and sin to the kids he always make us feel welcome and he educate us well when we have a check up. All four of my boys see’s him and never fails us❤️❤️❤️
Fantastic experience: Dr ralph is a wonderful doctor
Positive experience: My rating is a 3 because a couple of the Staff members at the doesn’t exemplify customer friendly attitudes. YearS ago when I visited this office it was amazing but since the change in personnel it hasn’t been the same. My other issue is I can’t see my doctor without his court stenographer! There is no such thing as doctor patient confidentiality in my opinion. To begin with I hate going to any doctors office. I don’t like exposing myself to strangers and I feel I have to be guarded when seeing the doctor and his/her stenographer! Don’t know the reasoning behind this action, but I’ve never had this issue at any other clinic.
Fantastic experience: Had a good first visit, everyone is nice and friendly. Will be back.
Positive experience: Honestly all the nurses and doctors are awesome, very friendly and I enjoyed my time with them. I have one issue with this place. I’ve been here 3 times and every single time the ladies at the front desk are seriously rude. They really don’t like their job and it’s blatantly obvious. I’m seriously one of the easiest people to get along with, very “yes sir and no ma’am”. Even with me being very polite natured they are just unbearable. I get it, everyone has bad days but it’s every time I’ve been there. Get a new job please, preferably something outside of customer service. Judging by the comments you’ll be doing a lot of us a favor
Negative experience: My son likes Dr Steve Ralph but the ladies at the front desk who answer the phones are so rude and disrespectful!
Fantastic experience: They are super friendly
Negative experience: We brought our son to Elms Creek when he was a newborn. Our first visit was when he was a few days old for the standard follow up and the nurse practitioner told us that he should be drinking much more. After freaking out that we (as 1st time parents) were doing something wrong, once home we calculated the amount she told us that he should be eating and it was so much more than he could possibly be drinking. So much so that it was what my 4.5 month old niece was drinking. Our 2nd visit was a few days later to have his tongue/lip tie corrected. We were under the impression that this was a common procedure that they performed in office routinely. Our insurance wouldn’t cover having it done at a pediatric dentist office with a laser and we were under the impression it was a somewhat similar procedure. Horrible experience. The clamps that they used were supposed to “numb” the area that was cut. There was blood everywhere. Very traumatic for me as a mom. Furthermore it appeared that it was too much for the doctor as well because my husband said that he looked away when the nurse practitioner was doing the procedure. We got the gist that this wasn’t something they do frequently. We were told to run our finger around the incisions a couple times a day and all would be good. Dr Ricky Mitchell seemed nice and we liked him but not a fan of the NP, and the support/front office staff leave A LOT to be desired. They seem like they’re inconvenienced to do their job. At that point after the 2nd visit we decided to switch Drs offices. At about 8 months old we noticed our son had difficulty swallowing and seemed like he wasn’t really to stick his tongue out very much. We wound up taking him to a pediatric dentist in Austin for a consult and both his lip and tongue ties had redeveloped. We had it corrected with the laser at that point. The dentist told us that the tongue tie hadn’t been cut back far enough to begin with and that part of it had just healed back together- turns out we weren’t given proper instructions on how to care for it to prevent it from healing back together- running your finger around it a couple times a day isn’t adequate.
Negative experience: It’s a clean place and everyone is friendly but the wait time is HORRIBLE. Even if you have a appointment scheduled they take FOREVER to call you.
Fantastic experience: All staff are amazing! I love Dr. Ricky! They are amazing with my daughter. I recommend them to everyone!
Fantastic experience: Although the wait time for me to see the Nurse Practitioner was long, it was very well worth it & this Clinic is deserving of 5 stars or more! It was my first visit with this clinic & for my newborn son. The entire staff was welcoming & so kind to my son & I even though you could see that they were extremely busy! They took care to ask me questions & listen to my concerns & provide me with information & resources. They were so respectful of my beliefs & my choices as a parent, making my visit beyond comfortable & pleasant. Needless to say I have found my new pediatrician office for all 3 of my kiddos!!!
Fantastic experience: I absolutely love my doctor and her assistant. They are the reason I stay. I'm not fond of the people who answer the phones. They are usually rude and not very personable. That's of you can even get someone to answer. If I leave a message, they don't return my calls. I usually have to stop into the office to get refills for prescriptions. It's kind of frustrating.
