It is not surprising that cancer hates us due to the treatments we use to modify our own cells to help our body fight against it. We intend to keep it that way.

Baylor Scott & White Cancer Center - Killeen: Reviews
Positive experience: I absolutely agree with Jenny’s review, if I spend all my time trying to keep my husband alive, you could atleast bring the mask mandate back. Covid numbers are rising, as well as flu and colds. Immune compromised Cancer patients can be taken out with any of these. Love the center, love the doctors and employees, I just cannot understand why (of all places) a cancer center wouldn’t try to protect these patients any way they can. I have been to other facilities who do require masks, it is comforting to me.
Hi Lisa, the safety of our patients, visitors and team members is paramount. Wearing masks in Baylor Scott & White facilities is optional for most patients, visitors and team members. Masks will continue to be required in areas where clinically appropriate as directed by our infection prevention measures. Negative experience: Dr.Sheikh should not be a doctor. My husband opted to do chemo because it was the best for his kind of cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma) she said after 3 rounds we would know if it was working. 6 rounds in and we had to ask to have an MRI done to see the status of his tumors. More then a week after results came through on his mychart we still hadn't heard from her to go over results . No phone call, no messages via mychart. I had to tell my husband that the chemo didn't work and one of the tumors was significantly larger. I just felt like that wasn't my place to have to tell him alone & only go by my chart results which aren't in laymans terms so i had to Google everything & pray i understood everything correctly. When she finally called us via video. She says "well chemo didn't work" maybe we can look at a pill form of chemo....wait i thought the immunotherapy & chemo combo cocktail were " the best" for his kind of cancer now you want to try something less then promising for treatment. Mind you my husband is now in respiratory failure( can't be reversed) . That came on from the chemo. He used an inhaler here& there for copd but, nothing unmanageable. He is now on 3 liters of oxygen all the time now. The thought that we were not going to try anymore chemo was alarming to her...no chemo = no more money. There's NOTHING anyone can say to me to make me believe any different about her & her ethics. She's part of the problem.... she's under big pharma hypnosis. Im so tired of all these drs. People we need to get rid of western medicine and back to the holistic healers. I've researched so much. My husband has high amonia levels. Folks... amonia is parasite urine. Cancer is caused by parasites, hypoxia, and alkaline off in one's body, sugar. It's sad because we have been dumbed down by society & all is lies. Do your research if you have sick loved ones. Research parasites. Parasites are key to all illnesses. Drs know this... i promise you this. You don't have to believe me just do your own research people. WAKE UP!!!!

Positive experience: Adding: Of all places to drop mask mandates - a cancer center. Patients who are immunocompromised on strong immunosuppressants from cancer, autoimmune diseases... I appreciate the nurses and patients who mask but some don't - even with direct patient contact. Same can be said for other patients, when they aren't behind their curtained area. **Cross-posting my review from BSW Hemingway Specialty Clinic: I've utilized the various BSW locations for the last few years and my reviews have been 4-5. Now it's dropped to 3 because of your dropped masking/distancing protocol. I'm immunocompromised, on a strong immunosuppressant for an autoimmune disease. I've noticed some patients, staff, and providers still masking, while others don't. Worst of all is doctors and nurses who have direct patient contact, that don't. Both of which I've personally experienced. Any viral disease, especially covid, is dangerous to certain populations. As patients, we shouldn't have to continually ask providers and staff to follow protective protocols!

Negative experience: Good day, my wife had an appointment today and although all of the staff is always extremely friendly, today the Gabrielle at checkout desk was extremely rude, and combative with patients and her own staff. I feel she should check her attitude at the front specifically when she works at a cancer center.
