Athletico Physical Therapy - Irving

Fantastic experience: I love the staff: Fritzi, Quinn, Kaitlyn, Ruya, and Sam… they are all so pleasant to work with. They are professional yet a bit personable making the therapy sessions relaxed yet helping you work hard at the same time. My surgical team told me I could quit P/T sooner because I was doing so well. I credit not only my hard work but the work of everyone of the therapists that worked with me, whom I mentioned above. I know they may not have liked me leaving with 3 more seasons on their schedule, but that just goes to show how dedicated to their patients they are… I was able to sustain my p/t sessions at home without an issue because of how dedicated they were at making sure I knew what I was doing when in their space. Romeo is usually the first person you make contact with… scheduling you and having you fill out surveys to see where you are at. He has such a pleasant voice, and a nice smile. I would definitely recommend this Athletico location to anyone whom needs physiotherapy. I honestly do not believe you could find a better team of therapists to help you get back to improving your life’s desires through physical exercise and training so that you could meet those dreams of yours. I am so glad I chose this location, not only because it was approximately 3 miles from home, but because of the team members there. I know that if something comes up in the future and I need them, they will be there for me. Plus, ATHLETICO has a Card Navigator. In my case his name was Tim. He would touch bases with me thru the app and via phone calls, checking on my progress and making sure I am comfortable with everything I am doing and how I am or am not progressing. On another note, I found out you could go there for your physical therapy improvement needs for a few visits without needing a doctor’s referral right away. That is so awesome to know, that you won’t necessarily have to postpone your improvement waiting for that referral.

Fantastic experience: Athletico @ Irving has been an amazing experience! Fritzi and Kaitlyn and all the techs were able to put me through a fun and engaging regimen to bring me back to pre-injury levels ahead of schedule (with commitment on my end as well) and made my post surgery life very fun and engaging, feeling better for the first time since my injury in August. Thank you Athletico Irving team for everything you’ve done these past few months!

Fantastic experience: I worked with Athletico after having surgery on my neck. Was able to see measurable difference in my flexion by the end, but also felt movements were more normal than they were initially. They listened to concerns and offered guidance and steps towards getting back to where I was before. I appreciated all the support for past couple of months and would recommend to others looking for physical therapy group in the Irving area.

Fantastic experience: Gayla used them before her knee replacement surgery and is now doing her PT there post surgery. The staff is like family. Great facility and convenient.

Fantastic experience: Guillermo Mota is a wonderful physical therapist who is knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. He really cares about his patients. I have been working with him for a couple months and see noticeable, measurable improvement. I like the way he educates- seems like each week I learn something new about how the human body- information I get to use with his guidance to or move my strength, balance, flexibility, and recovery!! Carmen is also amazing! She is always so friendly and professional. Alejandro helped me deal with an insurance issue and he is also very professional and helpful! Thank you to everyone at Athletico for helping me! Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend this place enough! Customer service is absolutely their business. Every staff member is so kind, greets me with a smiling face, and makes PT something I look forward to every week. I love the fun conversations we can have. It is a restful and calm environment. They are understanding, allow new moms to bring their babies if needed, and are patient with rescheduling needs when life just happens. Also a very emotionally safe environment when you’re feeling stressed about recovery, life, etc! And of course they do a fabulous job on the work they do. I’ve already noticed a huge difference.

Negative experience: 5 star reviews are encouraged to earn a “free water bottle” but I think it’s important to leave honest feedback. My visit was problematic. I was told upon arrival (after a 30 minute drive) that my appointment may not be covered under my insurance. When asked why I was just now receiving this information, I was told that they don’t have a consistent/ reliable receptionist and the person who scheduled the appointment should’ve provided additional information; however, they did not. The office appears to be old and could use some updates. More importantly, reliable and knowledgeable staff are sorely needed. I wouldn’t recommend this location even with the preferred insurance.

Fantastic experience: The therapist are very professional. They evaluate you and then they assign you they therapy. Guillermo is very friendly and very attentive and always making you feel comfortable by evaluating you every time during the session to make sure ur doing well and with no pain.

Fantastic experience: A really good, professional and convenient pt location. I came here with really bad sciatica pain from piriformis syndrome/lower back strain and my physical therapist Guillermo Mota understood my issue thoroughly and laid out a routine of stretches and exercises which eventually recovered my sciatica pain in a span of a month. Guillermo got me from being in a state of taking pain meds and thinking I’d need surgery to getting me back to normal through natural methods. Would definitely recommend this spot to anyone needing pt. They work around your schedule.

Fantastic experience: Athletico is Awesome. Guillermo was my Physical Therapist, he was very professional and very knowledgeable and very accommodating to his patients, without even asking. I didn't want to go to physical therapy when my orthopedic doctor recommended it but I'm glad I did, it was the best decision. I went to Athletico for an issue with my knee. I had a lot of pain and could barely walk without limping. If it wasn't for Athletico and Guillermo most of all, I wouldn't be walking right now. Guillermo is the best and Athletico is a great place, I highly recommend Athletico to anyone who needs physical therapy. You'll enjoy coming here more then going to work.

Fantastic experience: I cannot thank Athletico enough for treating me. I was referred by my doctor for pelvic floor therapy and had the pleasure of working with Fritzi. She was so informative and helpful. The exercises she showed me have greatly reduced my pain and I’m living a much more comfortable life now. All of the staff were friendly and willing to assist. Fantastic experience: Athletico is awesome!! I've been working with Guillermo and he is incredible! He and the team work on your specific issues to get you back in action asap. I'm a musician and broke my left wrist which left me unable to play my sax, flute and acoustic guitar. Guillermo understood this need and used specific equipment and techniques to revive my wrist and get my playing abilities back as quickly as possible. I would highly recommend this team of people at Athletico for any rehabilitation you might need. They are very professional as well as concerned about your complete well being and getting you back to the lifestyle you had before.

Fantastic experience: I LOVEEEEE this place I’ve been treated really amazingly. I came in for recovery from surgery of a repaired acl and meniscus. I couldn’t be more thankful because they managed well with my schedule and I go to school too. I love how they would just cheer you up and make you smile through the whole session. They’re just trying to get you better for real !

They do an awesome job of working together and customizing the therapy to the needs of a variety of patients and their conditions. I have been seen for loss of core strength and later after my knee replacement, I needed therapy again. The core strength training helped me recover from the knee replacement I had late this summer. I especially enjoy having the facility so close to my home in S. Irving I heartily recommend Physical therapy, it is a good way to get your life back on track.

Fantastic experience: Athletico Physical Therapy, Fritzi, in particular was nothing short of a God SEND for me. I was in pain for MONTHS and after seeing three different doctors, getting an MRI, tons of blood work, and multiple prescriptions, nothing was working for me. I was referred here and to be honest, I didn’t have much faith that they would be able to help. I am so beyond happy to pay it forward and tell you that pelvic floor physical therapy WORKS. Also that it entails so much more than what you may think! I had my doubts and mainly because I had a misconception about what pelvic floor therapy actually is. Fritzi was so confident that she could help me- so I took a chance. I can’t recommend Fritzi and this therapy enough. She took the time to actually LISTEN intently to my symptoms and then confidently came up with a plan for me with multiple at home exercises, massage therapy for my adductors and piriformis, changes to my diet, exercise, water intake, and MORE. She continued to learn and detect where my problem was stemming from with each appointment…and I experienced progress pretty early on. She didn’t throw another medication at me. She didn’t send me to another physician. She didn’t send me for more bloodwork. She LISTENED. And then confidently came up with a plan to care for me with therapy. She was able to completely cure my pain and I’m confident that this therapy also aided in getting my digestion back on track. I am SO VERY, VERY thankful that my quality of life has been restored. I hope this gives someone courage to learn more about ALL that Athletico offers.

Fantastic experience: Can’t say enough good things about this place. Smaller office atmosphere, but has plenty of equipment to assist in your recovery. The staff is excellent. They are friendly and truly want you to recover, unlike some places that want to keep you coming back for the co-pay. Once I recovered, I was given all the exercises to continue doing to hopefully keep me healthy in the future. Even when I was extremely sick and forgot to call to cancel, they were understanding and worked with me to reschedule. Truly outstanding staff. I highly recommend this place!

Fantastic experience: Fritzi has been amazing with my wife. We came here 8 weeks back for her prolapse which is a grade2. She was having severe lower back pain and pelvic pressure. Today is her final examination and tell you what she is like 90 percent pain free and her prolapse really went back and my wife can’t feel her pressure or the back pain anymore. Cant thank enough of Fritzi, she is so very wonderful.

Every employee in this Irving location has been kind and they always put a smile on my face, they have great skills and it is overall a clean, healthy environment to get treated at!! The employees here treat every patient with respect and they make coming into PT very fun.

Fantastic experience: Going to physical therapy is not my favorite way to pass the time. However Athletico has been a very different experience. My PT is Kim and she is very good at what she does. She does push me and after 3 weeks I am able to see a lot of improvement. It is a very clean environment and the staff is great! A special thanks to Kim for all the she has done for me. I am confident that I will have a full recovery and that is my goal!

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend this place. Had a lower back pain since October 2020. came in February 2021 at 125 N Mac Arthur with PT Keith Woodrow and Bryan potrillo . They were very helpful ,kind and knowledgeable, and I came out like new without pain under a month. Takes time and dedication to get the results you want.

Fantastic experience: After being in a traumatic car accident in December and had a humerus fracture my surgeon released me to start therapy in April, thats when I started at Athletico the staff is very friendly and very flexible with my schedule Keith is a wonderful therapist he knows I wanted to go back to powerlifting and helped me achieve that goal, my surgeon told me it would take a year before I could touch a power bar 6 months after my surgery I was already back to deadlifts I am very grateful to Keith. Both Keith and Kim are phenomenal therapists, their rehab aids are kind and very helpful , their receptionist is always on top of my needs and very helpful. Definitely a 10/10 therapy location!

Their communications and strong knowledge of physical therapy treatments have regenerated my healing knee back functioning properly. Kieth and Kim have done a wonderful job creating an effective, comfortable, and (considering recent COVID circumstances) safe environment for me to better myself. I had worked with Kim years ago for my lower back / core and my fantastic experience with her in the past led me to Athletico when I agrivatted an old knee injury. I have since been working with Kieth and his knowledge and guidance has really helped me recover and strengthen my knee. I am very grateful for the help and guidance I have gotten from both Kim and Kieth but moreso for their hospitality and kindness . I would recommend them to anyone looking to better themselves

Fantastic experience: The entire staff here are great and all very personable. Keith has been my PT so far and has really helped me throughout my recovery. They're not you're typical PT sessions, it can potentially turn into a full blown workout and has really helped me achieve my goals for my recovery and even my fitness. Working in the sports medicine field myself, I would definitely recommend Keith and the clinic to my athletes for their physical therapy.

Fantastic experience: Went in for an ACL injury and have been going once a week for about 3 weeks. Staff is friendly, informative and does a great job of communicating how the body works and how to prevent and recover from injury. Really pleased with the therapy so far.
