Fantastic experience: I terribly hurt myself (again) and needed a specialist for an accurate diagnosis. I was able to get in the very day for an appointment and x-rays that I called for help with minimal waiting. I was so surprised to find this clinic that provided care immediately and efficiently! I saw Evan Hendriks, PA-C who was experienced and I felt very knowledgable. They also set me up with an MRI, PT and a pain specialist if needed! Excellent!!!

Blake was nice and professional at check in and Gina was very personal and helpful as well taking time to explain how my husband can use his walking boot. Fantastic experience: I originally had an appointment at the Carrollton location. However, I was 20 minutes late and they had to reschedule my appointment. Fortunately, I asked if I could go to the Irving location to get x-rays and a follow-up on my broken wrist. They were able to see me the same day, took x-rays and the PT was very thorough on how my procedure was going. Would definitely recommend DOC @ Irving.

Negative experience: Absolutely horrible experience. Came in with a suspected ruptured Achilles that happened about an hour before, crippled by pain. No one cared. Eventually found out this place isn’t remotely set up for fresh injuries as they don’t have or prescribe painkillers, just over the counter stuff. After 20 minutes of waiting- lying on the ground with my leg elevated on a bench because they couldn’t/wouldn’t do anything to help - we finally asked how long it would be. I was indifferently told “there are a few people ahead of you so it will be a while.” Keep in mind no one else was there with an acute injury. Seems like they could have told us immediately we were at the wrong clinic, or even pretended to care. We left and got actual treatment nearby.

Fantastic experience: This doctor office was so great explained everything understood what he was saying the ER put me in a boot but i didn’t realize that boot was the problem! Got a new boot and it is going to work much better and help me get around better! If you can’t walk it sucks so try another boot the boot make the difference!!

Fantastic experience: Very good and informative consultation about my ruptured Achilles tendon. The staff were knowledgeable and efficient and treated me very well. Update : less than one week after my initial visit, I had repair surgery performed on my left Achilles tendon. Everything was very well organised, the surgery (with a general anaesthetic!) was at 7:30am and I was discharged at 9:48am. It hurts, but they gave me some good medication and even some post-op Scooby Snacks! Could not have gone better. Update: my splint was removed on July 30. All was well and my stitches were taken out. The student who was accompanying Dr Grantham was kind enough to take these photos. I am now back in the protective boot and I can put weight on my left foot again. Hurrah!

Fantastic experience: Evan was really detailed and thorough when assessing my 10yr old daughter’s knee. He made her laugh, and talked to her about her sport. He seems to be really good with kids! I appreciate the time he took to make her feel comfortable, and understand the next steps in the healing process.

Positive experience: PA Evan Hendriks and the radiologist were very kind, patient with me and really listened to me about my current hip injury and offered a few solutions. However, their site says they “prescribe pain relievers” which is misleading!! They DO NOT prescribe pain killers, which is what I need temporarily to function at work. I told the doctor I had tried a muscle relaxer prescribed by my PA, but it didn’t work and made me too groggy. Feel I wasted $475 for nothing. All they did was prescribe me a different muscle relaxer, which will not help.

Fantastic experience: Great experience with Dr Grantham completing the knee surgery and with the DOC Irving PT team afterwards. Flexible hours for this location are a big plus.

Fantastic experience: In town for a soccer tournament and son gets injured later in the day Thursday. We went to DOC at 5:30 pm and were seen, xrayed, and casted and finished by 7 pm. The entire staff was so professional, empathetic and kind. They presented multiple options based on our life situations and explained the risks/benefits of each. He was wrapped up and ready to play the next day. Evan, the PA was extremely knowledgeable and professional.

Would go back but the assistants need some bed side manner classes and they need to have better time management

Staff was friendly, professional, and thorough in doing their best to find out what was causing my pain. They explained my options an I got an injection in my hip (feeling better already) and am going to schedule some PT. I highly recommend this place!

Fantastic experience: Super helpful and knowledgeable about Ehlers Danlos Syndrome! Dr Evan Hendricks is very specific and does a great job of explaining complicated things super simply. He used a lot of pictures off google to show me what he thought was going on and when I said I couldn’t afford an mri, worked with me to figure out a plan for therapy and rehabilitation. The X-ray tech was also amazing!! I should’ve asked her name but I can confirm she had sparkly crocs and her initials were AF. She was super chill and patient while I rambled about my symptoms and was able to figure out what she needed to X-ray. Very friendly and knowledgeable, highly recommended!

Negative experience: Waited over 2 hour. PA didn’t know how to use sono machine. Could not identify body parts , wanted to treat me without a conclusive diagnosis. Did sonó scan twice then went to check with supervisor came back to tell me she needed to repeat sonogram. At that point I left. U fortunately I paid 50 dollar copay. Bad experience. Front desk and x ray staff were nice

Negative experience: I had an appointment for ortho, I saw they are in IN-NETWORK for my insurance and made an appointment. When I went on appointment time they said they are not In-Network of my insurance. They are lying about insurance to get cash. Once I reported to my insurance care I got a call back from DOC saying I’m covered.

Fantastic experience: A+ experience here! I fell & couldn't get up and being in so much pain, knew I had to get an x-ray on my hip. This was on our snowday Monday yet they were open thank goodness. My x-ray tech, Alicia was so kind and caring. Then Doctor Evan gave me the bad news that indeed I broke my hip. He took a lot of time explaining my exact condition, including showing me and my sister my x-ray on a big screen monitor. I completely trusted their diagnosis even though it was my first time there and went directly to a nearby emergency room as they recommended and had surgery the very next morning. Kind, competent and caring all around. Wort every penny out of my pocket since my insurance didn't cover this practice. Thank you all so very much!

Fantastic experience: I have been using D.O.C for years as I am constsantly training and competing in high impact combat sports. The level of care is a cut above everyone else and I have always left their facility being more educated and about my body and injury. Their office is always clean with a very polite and professional staff. 10/10, this is the best place for sports medicine in the area, hands down.

Negative experience: This was my first time visiting this place due to my son's injury. Even though we had to wait for more than couple of hours, I was fine with the visit. However what made me very upset was the fact they ordered imaging and there was a fracture and no one called to relay the result. I had to call 2 days in a row and then they made me pay for a telehealth visit just to tell me the result. To me this is medical neglect especially to a child. I will never go back to this place nor recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: We were referred to the DOC by a concierge physician after I severely broke my leg (of course at the time we didn’t know that) late afternoon on Friday, 10/27/23. We were in Addison and because of traffic we arrived at 6 pm which is their closing. We called them to tell them we were on the way and they stayed open and waited for us! We were with them until 7:30 pm on a Friday night! All the staff were wonderful. The PA Jessica McPhee came into the waiting area and started her exam while the receptionist; was taking care of the insurance and setting up the file. The x-ray tech; Andrew was very quick but thorough. The Front receptionist; Melissa stayed late to burn a CD so we could take it with us to the ER. Jessica called the ER to let them know we were on the way & expect the admission. We had to wait for our transport and both Jessica & Melissa insisted on waiting with us! Thank you DOC for the very best care I have ever had!
