Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Irving: Reviews
Negative experience: How can it be an emergency when we sit for 3 hours waiting for the only doctor according to the nurse
We take the feedback of our patients seriously and would like the chance to learn more about these concerns, Mohamed. If you're interested in speaking with a hospital representative, please submit your information to us here, https://bit.ly/ContactUsBSWH.
Fantastic experience: I was admitted to hospital 10/30. A slew of great nurses, good doctor, well treated and taken care of. Southlake, Colleyville and Grapevine were all booked and I need a quick surgery and this was closest. No chance anyone else was going to provide me better service. Nurse Jyoti, Nurse Florence, a couple of the techs, and the Doc who did surgery were all great..about to be discharge in 2-3 hours and I couldn’t say a bad word about them. I’m not a big review guy unless something Awful or Great and they were wonderful to me. They will be my first choice if a future emergency would all me a little extra on drive time but all the staff was great. Nurses make the difference so keep doing the awesome work.
We're so happy to hear you're pleased with the care and service our staff provided during your visit, Ryan. Your feedback is very important to us in our ongoing efforts to provide service of the highest quality to our patients. Thank you for sharing!
Negative experience: This was the worst hospital experience I've ever endured...and I've been to the County Hospital. Came in to the ER for asthma and they admitted me after sitting there for 8 hours. Was kept overnight for observation and at 10:30 told that I would go home that day. They say and ran test after test until it was after 9pm when I was finally released. They told me that my prescriptions would be faxed to the nearby pharmacy. Only some of my medications were faxed to the nearby pharmacy and 2 Albuterol prescriptions were written. Only those prescriptions were not included in my outgoing paperwork. Neither was my doctor's note. So I had to go back to the hospital to get my prescriptions and Nurse Reshma on the 5th floor was so politely unhelpful. Apologized a lot but did nothing. Finally another nurse came and told her to type out a doctor's note and the new nurse got my information into the hands of another doctor. My doctor was off at this point and could not be reached. Hours later, I get a call from Reshma saying they sent over my prescriptions and she hangs up on me. Found out that they only sent one of the 2. I don't know when I will get my inhaler. And asthma help is why I came in the first place! Don't get sick in Irving!!
Hi Andre, we do take your feedback seriously and would like to learn more. If you could submit your information to us here, https://bit.ly/ContactUsBSWH, we would like to have a representative look into these concerns.
Fantastic experience: I have been using Baylor for years and have always received white glove service. The folks here work are amazing. The care I receive is like that of a family member that is only there for you and your health.
Thank you for sharing this glowing review with us, Byron! Patient experience is very important to us and your feedback is greatly appreciated.
Negative experience: I had my baby here last year and I have a family member there now the first time I went was because my doctor dr price sent me there to check my babies heart because she heard an irregular heartbeat mind you this is the reason i end up switching doctors I went here where they monitored me and the baby for hours and i was expected to talk to the doctor and be released since they didn't hear anything irregular... however the doctor at never came he left the hospital to have dinner i was told... I had been there being monitored and waiting on him for about 4-5 hours before having to make the decision with my husband to leave since there was no issues. also the sheet they gave me had a dirt stain that was my first red flag then the doctor leaving for dinner. When I went into labor the hospital was easy to check in to but the nurses didn't have a room ready i went into one that was just mopped still wet not a big deal. Everything else seemed to go right the process of actually delivering was fine I had to have a C-section the anesthesiologist (Indian guy not sure his name) was awesome very confident comforting good with his staff and played music. The biggest issues I had with this place is after delivery: They never put my newborn in a onesie the whole time he was naked just in a diaper I didn't expect them to give me a baby shower but at least a white onesie until we could change him! It a cold ass hospital this isn't my first child either Arlington Memorial and Medical City Arlington provide a basic white onesie and even a little care package of diapers and things you may need. I had to ask the nurses for things like pads and diapers for myself at other hospitals they have more than enough for you in the room already or they bring it eventually. I also had to ask when and if certain people were coming like the lactation consult person and the nurses that were suppose to take my baby a bath it was just weird how helpless i felt there. Another thing is one of the night nurses a black woman really curvy but had an odd name like a stripper?? Very demanding would give me a lot of push back for wanting stronger medicine (mind you the day nurses would offer me it and i didnt really take it unless i needed it) she also would push me to walk which is normal after you have a c-section but she wanted me to get out of bed in the middle of the night to walk around the hall.. I could do that in the day I had to convince her to let me do it in my own room but she was just very pushy it was annoying when youre in pain from delivery. The other nurses were great. also my family member is there now in ICU went in for some medical problem he ended up in a coma of some sort and at first they didn't h for a few days his mother couldn't find him because they had him checked in under an alias because he tried to harm himself? how does that make sense? Something sounded very off about that I'm not sure if the staff is just unorganized and incompetent or what. Seems very sketchy. Anyway, Personally never coming back here if you need a good hospital try the ones I mentioned in this post I had a good experiences there & a lot nicer than this one.
Sonia, if you could provide us with a way to get in touch via https://bit.ly/ContactUsBSWH, we would like to have someone reach out to you to learn more about this experience.
Negative experience: If I could give them 0 stars I would. I went in last night 10/14/2024 with extreme pain on my back, possible food poisoning. I kept expressing how horrific my pain was. I asked to use the bathroom a few times. Eventually they were having me use the hallway bathroom instead of keeping me near by( obviously because of my pain). When my mother asked the front desk male IF by any chance they could at least give me pain meds. He was EXTREMELY rude and inconsiderate. He said it DOESNT MATTER how much pain I am in, I have to wait for my turn. As someone who is also in the medical field I understand completely. But the lack of professionalism and being told that my pain “didn’t matter” was completely not ok. I walked out and came to UT southwest and was immediately taken care of. Yes I waited long hours to get a room. But they took care of my extreme pain almost immediately! NEVER again will I associate with Baylor or recommend their services.

Fantastic experience: There are no words for how amazing the labor and delivery staff are here. Just a great group of individuals that I will always be grateful for.
Thank you for sharing this glowing review with us, Brittany! Patient experience is very important to us and your feedback is greatly appreciated.
Negative experience: Would give 0 stars if I could. ER visit turned into 2.5 hours in the waiting room. People relapsing from drugs on the beds right outside of rooms, misdiagnosed me, zero care. Please avoid this hospital at all costs; it’s not worth the wasted time or money!
Hi Riley, we do take your feedback seriously and would like to learn more. If you could submit your information to us here, https://bit.ly/ContactUsBSWH, we would like to have a representative look into these concerns.
Fantastic experience: I had my first baby here. I was worried about the experience reading some of the other reviews. The experience was amazing! The nurses and staff are truly out of this world caring!! The nurse I had on my day of discharge would talk to me like my own mom would. Our baby was slightly sick when born so her presence was god send! The baby nurses were so good with the baby and were genuinely worried and cared about his well being. I wish I could remember everybody’s names. If it’s possible, I would like to nominate a lot of them for the nurse awards.
Thank you for sharing this glowing review with us, Anjali! Patient experience is very important to us and your feedback is greatly appreciated. On behalf of the Baylor Scott & White Health family, congratulations on welcoming your new bundle of joy!
Negative experience: Well an update….the “link” u gave me below does not work. On ur website it’s impossible to find way to contact. Another month gone by …still no refund. And no traction as to where it is. $1900. For real. Man alive where to start. Six months ago I overpaid for my procedure bc it was day off and the girl at desk said “ oh, no worries, after insurance pays and claim is clear they will reimburse u if there is overpayment” Well, I overpaid by $1900 BCBS of Alabama is my insurance company and they (myself also) literally speak with them once a week and it it’s been 6 months. Same crap over and over. “ oh yes, it coming” “oh yes, Idkw it hasn’t been sent yet” This is a hospital for crying out loud. It’s blowing my mind. Unfortunately my eye Dr is there but I am truly grateful the procedure is done cause I will never darken their doors again and will repost this over and over so hopefully it will serve as warning for people to …… get ur EOB from insurance company in writing first so u don’t overpay and them have to ask for the refund.
We take the feedback of our patients seriously and would like the chance to learn more, Chris. If you could submit your information to us here, https://bit.ly/ContactUsBSWH, we would like to have a representative look into these concerns.
Negative experience: Sick people were literally leaving the building bc the line was so slow. Meanwhile my daughter is dying in the back and they're making me wait in line with sick ppl to see her

Fantastic experience: Doctors and nurses took excellent care of my brother for long time
We appreciate you taking the time to share your review, Ma! Your feedback is very important to us in our ongoing efforts to provide service of the highest quality to our patients and their family members.
Negative experience: I had really good experience in labor and delivery. Nurse Pam and Carmen both were great. I had bad experience with postpartum unit nurses. We asked nurse Bethany from postpartum unit to help us to place the baby in the car seat since we are first time parents, She denied and said to you tube it.
Hi Mallika, we do take your feedback seriously and would like to learn more. If you could submit your information to us here, https://bit.ly/ContactUsBSWH, we would like to have a representative look into these concerns.
Positive experience: I really wanted to give 5 stars for labor and delivery & post-partum ward. All the registered nurses were really good and would like to give shout out to the mid wife who delivered my baby girl and Christy donegan who is RN in postpartum ward. They both took really good care of me and my baby girl. But post delivery I happened to visit emergency ward and the service there was horrible, not so responsible towards their patients.
Hi manisha, thank you for taking the time to share your experience and feedback with us. If you're interested in speaking to a representative about your concerns, please let us know by sharing your information with us via, https://bit.ly/ContactUsBSWH.
Fantastic experience: We recently welcomed our second baby at Baylor Scott & White in Irving, and I would rate our experience five stars. The facility appears to have been recently remodeled, with clean rooms and modern equipment that made us feel comfortable and well-cared for. Having had our first child at a different hospital, I can confidently say that our experience here was highly satisfying. The staff were exceptionally kind, knowledgeable, and attentive throughout our stay. I would absolutely recommend this place for labor and delivery.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us, Seth! It is our top priority to provide the highest level of care and service to our patients and their family members. On behalf of the Baylor Scott & White Health family, congratulations on welcoming your new bundle of joy!
Negative experience: I wish I could get Them zero stars, on Wednesday 14, 2024 around 8 to 8:30 A.M I took my wife to emergency At Baylor Scott & white on N macArthur Boulevard Irving . While she was going to labor…. Her water broke and when we went to second floor they said they don’t have any room available even though we mentioned to them the water broke. She’s in labor. Our doctor is from Baylor scott & white…. Most of the nurse are just sitting around and on their phones, One person who take that ID from us, she was going around and looking for a room and then she came and said there is no room available. My wife asked the nurse if there was any doctor available, they said yes, there is a one in the daytime wanted the nighttime, but they didn’t let us see the doctor… Even though she’s going through a lot of contraction back to back And crying because of her pain. So then, after that, I rushed to my car , It took me about 15 minutes with a heavy traffic to medical City Las Colinas. On the way, she was having a lot of contraction as well as she was 7 cm dilated , As soon as we entered, they got her wheelchair and didn’t even mention about anything about ID or anything. They took her straight to the labor room. Where she had the baby after half an hour Later. Baylor Scott & white might think This is some scam . But please make sure to review the camera And they can able to find out what’s going on . This is very unhumanized that they would do something like that company like Baylor Scott & white. And I can feel the racism on them. I will have authorities to look into it. I requested everyone who was there Please avoid This kind unhumanized Facilities. I will also contact press to let them know the situation as well
Hi shahid, we have responded to your other review and would like to learn more. Please share more information with us via, https://bit.ly/ContactUsBSWH, and we can ask a representative to look into your concerns.
Negative experience: Ccu / icu Charge nurse bent my finger backward in an attempt to stop a seizure. He then walked to the other side of the bed and says “if you don’t stop, I’m going to do it again.” Which escalated the seizure. Management didn’t seems to Care this happened and were defending him even though he didn’t know proper seizure protocol in the ICU/CCU
Hi Sierra, we do take your feedback seriously and would like to learn more. If you could submit your information here, https://bit.ly/ContactUsBSWH, we’d like to have a hospital representative reach out to you directly.
Negative experience: The absolute worst service we’ve ever gotten! DO NOT BRING YOUR LOVED ONES HERE! We waited over FIVE HOURS for my loved one, who has stage 4 metastatic pancreatic cancer and is understand so in A LOT of pain, to receive her pain meds and nausea meds. It was excuse after excuse after excuse. That’s because she was being cared for by the charge nurse! RIDICULOUS!!!
Hi Vanessa, we take patient feedback seriously and would like the chance to learn more about these concerns. If you could submit your information here, https://bit.ly/ContactUsBSWH, we’d like to have a hospital representative reach out to you directly.
Negative experience: My mother had to go to the ER for abdominal pain. When I arrived, there were no nurses to be found. There was a nurses station just outside the room but no one was there. I had to chase down a lady and explain that the NG tube that was supposed to be in my unconscious mother's stomach was lying on the floor draining gastric juices all over the floor and my mother was also sitting in her own urine soaked bed. After that the Dr (D.O. not M.D.) and the nurse were playing CYA with unnecessary tests before she got to go to her room. The absolute worst ER treatment I've ever seen from a hospital and I've worked at a hospital for 25 years. Baylor should be embarrassed and disgusted by the treatment some patients are receiving at their ER. I'll be spreading the word far and wide not to go to Baylor Irving.
We take the feedback of our patients and their family members seriously and would like the chance to learn more about these concerns, Devin. If you could submit your information here, https://bit.ly/ContactUsBSWH, we’d like to have a hospital representative reach out to you directly.
Negative experience: I started out in a really nice room but now they have me in a dump. I was here earlier in the year and the food was really good so I ordered those things again and they were completely different and almost inelible. They have spare furniture stacked in the corner and the the remote control for the television and the overhead lights doesn't work or does it work right. Most of the nurses are nice,. but some are not. I wouldn't really recommend this hospital if you have better choices.
Bobby, we value all feedback and appreciate you taking the time to share. If you're interested in speaking with a hospital representative, please submit your information to us here, https://bit.ly/ContactUsBSWH.
Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough about these wonderful people. I get emotional when I think of the kindness, great over the top care, their compassion and professional care that I have received. This facility has been providing paracentesis treatment for a long period of time for me and I actually look forward to seeing everyone from the front desk clerks, techs, nurses and doctors. While this procedure is not a fun procedure, these caring people make me feel as though I am their only patient in the hospital. These great people go above and beyond their duties to help me during this difficult journey in my life. I am so thankful for all of them.
We're so happy to hear you're pleased with the care and service our staff provides during your visits, Deborah. Your feedback is very important to us in our ongoing efforts to provide service of the highest quality to our patients. Thank you for sharing and we are always here to support you in every step of your journey.
Negative experience: I cannot speak to the care provided at this facility. However...Today when driving home from work I did see one of their patients who stumbled across the street into traffic and nearly got hit....obviously medicated...in cast...gown on. I called and spoke to security who very kindly told me I could call the irving police to do a wellness check but they didn't seem to care that this patient was almost hit by a car and had left the facility highly medicated...im sure they couldn't leave the campus to check themselves..i understand that...but they didn't seem to care one iota about the patient. I have been a nurse for 40 years and will now NEVER go to this Baylor facility....maybe no Baylor facility. They would not transfer me to administration to discuss.
Hi Aundria, we take patient feedback seriously and would like the chance to learn more about these concerns. If you could submit your information here, https://bit.ly/ContactUsBSWH, we’d like to have a representative reach out to you directly.
Positive experience: Just gave birth here 2 weeks ago and my overall experience was “eh” The rooms are so bland and small and I wasn’t informed about “mommy menu” for dinner. Found out on my last day on my own! Some of the nurses / techs were just unprofessional specifically the night ones. One tech(?) came in my room COUGHING so much and talking loud KNOWING my freaking newborn was in the room!! She also was very unprofessional in the way she handled things. When “cleaning me up” she still left me with dirty bed pads. On the flip side, there were some staff I absolutely loved and think they deserve recognition : Nurse Cindy was veryyyy sweet! She made sure to keep checking on me! Nurse Sarah was very delightful and helpful Nurse Veronique (V) was really nice and made me feel comfortable Nurse Sashay was such a sweetheart and made my c section process a lot less scary! All of the doctors I saw during my stay were very nice and supportive! I really liked my anesthesiologist ( I don’t remember his name but he was a white man who was a nurse anesthesiologist who was on day shift July 6th ) Also, the lactation specialist Nicole was really helpful and friendly!! She taught me a lot about breastfeeding and made sure I was well informed

Negative experience: I was using that healthcare provider since 2016, when I moved to DFW area. It was OK for first few years, but recently it has been getting more and more disappointing - eg. the doctor I liked and valued left the place on a short notice, and my visit was just cancelled without offering any replacement. But what happened this afternoon was the tipping point for me, and I don't believe I'd ever come back to that place. These are facts: about two weeks ago I scheduled an appointment to do some lab work. I took me a 40-minute drive to the clinic, I checked-in on time, waited another 20 minutes... only to be told by the (very nice and gentle) person at the register, that there was no nurse in the lab anymore to get my lab-work done! She also told me, that my appointment was supposed to be rescheduled anyway, but... well... no-one called me to tell me that. That is how I feel: I can understand a lot, and I know unexpected situations happen, but that carefreeness and lack of respect to a patient's time (by not taking an effort to call and inform me about the issue with lab personnel) is something very hard to tolerate. I'd be a 1-minute time investment from Baylor Scott & White representative to give me that call - it was 2 hours of my time, some fuel burned unnecessarily, and lots of frustration.
Hi Anna, we do take your feedback seriously and would like to learn more. If you could submit your information to us here, https://bit.ly/ContactUsBSWH, we would like to have a representative look into these concerns.
Fantastic experience: Great staff at ER, quick to react not much waiting for intake.
We appreciate you taking the time to share your review, j! Your feedback is very important to us in our ongoing efforts to provide service of the highest quality to our patients.
Negative experience: They overcharge you drastically for no reason. I did a check up. The doctor was 45 minutes late, and she didn’t even look at my hand when I mentioned it to her, only for her to charge me 400 dollars. Four hundred dollars, for a check up. My insurance cut the price in half to 200, but, still. 200? For not even being looked at? That’s nonsense. And the front desk ladies didnt even know why the price was that high. Why? Why and how is this acceptable? Granted the doctor was at least very nice, but this is just, twisted.
We take the feedback of our patients seriously and would like the chance to learn more about these concerns, Reshzin. If you could submit your information to us here, https://bit.ly/ContactUsBSWH, we would like to have a representative look into these concerns.
Fantastic experience: everyone’s situation is different but I had my baby here and the attention was amazing, the delivery staff was amazing, they were supporting me like you would support any one you care about. Laura is an angel, so is Heather. the postpartum staffing was also very helpful. from the moment we got in till the moment we left, nothing to complain about.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us, Elizabeth, and for recognizing the delivery and postpartum staff! It is our top priority to provide the highest level of care and service to our patients. On behalf of the Baylor Scott & White Health family, congratulations on welcoming your bundle of joy!
Negative experience: I went there. Walkkng in, limping. I thought someone would see me, help me, but no. Got to the window. Told them I think I broke my foot. The nurse asked me what was my pain level from 1-10. I told her 10. She took my vitals, left the room and then came back and said they have no beds, and the bish pushed me back into the main entrance waiting room. Nothing for my pain. At all. No info. Nothing. Now I understand if emergency is busy, but bish, at least make sure the emergency patients are comfortable and not feeling pain while waiting if they already told you their pain is on 10. This hospital sucks at comfort for ER patients. I guess you have to be half dead to get a "bed". Your pain doesn't matter. I sat there in pain. For like 10-15 minutes. Then i left because it doesn't hurt as much with my foot elevated. Because I couldn't bear the pain. They didn't even ask where is the pain coming from in my foot, nothing. The nurse just wheeled me back to the main waiting room with no nurturing, nothing.

Fantastic experience: I gave a birth in this hospital on May 17th. My nurse was Cindy. She was super nice and kind. Special thanks to her. Staff in this hospital are all polite. Thank u all doctors and nurses who took care of me and my baby boy Umar.
Thank you for taking the time to share your review and for recognizing nurse Cindy and the staff, Gulizebo! Your experience is very important to us and your feedback is greatly appreciated. On behalf of the Baylor Scott & White Health family, congratulations on welcoming your bundle of joy!
Negative experience: Valerie who works here is incompetent. I don’t understand how someone can be a medical professional and not know what to do in emergency situations when someone’s had a medical emergency.
Hi Jenna, we take patient feedback seriously and would like the chance to learn more about these concerns. If you're interested in speaking with a representative, please submit your information to us here, https://bit.ly/ContactUsBSWH.
Fantastic experience: I was admitted to the hospital due to an acute pancreatitis. All staff members were amazing! Check in was easy and fast. I was put in a room very quickly, even though it was hard for me to walk from the check in area to the room the female nurse was very friendly. Doctor on duty was super helpful and informed me of my situation in a timely manner. Lab results were very quickly reported. The staff on 4th floor were so amazing, Thomas, Elizabeth, Anita, Vivian, Alina, Jasmine were above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. Doctor Haq was very nice and very professional. Surgeon, Doctor Soledad she was very informative and answered all my questions and concerns. Overall I had a great experience and a great time during this rough period of time in my life.
We're so happy to hear you're pleased with the care and service our staff provided during your visit, Sandra. Your feedback is very important to us in our ongoing efforts to provide service of the highest quality to our patients. Thank you for sharing your experience!
Negative experience: My mother in-law was seen tonight due to extremely high blood sugar levels. My mother in-law is a senior. When released, none of the staff assisted her in getting up and out of the hospital bed, nobody offered her a wheelchair. She was left with zero assistance. Horrible way to treat patients especially the elderly. Poor service as a healthcare organization.
We take the feedback of our patients and their family members seriously and would like the chance to learn more about these concerns, Ange. If you're interested in speaking with a hospital representative, please submit your information to us here, https://bit.ly/ContactUsBSWH.
Negative experience: I have been to this hospital a few times once in April and twice in May.. now this one star is not directed towards the nurses or doctors they did a phenomenal job and should be proud of themselves I wish they all can get a daisy award cause they deserve it.. But the kitchen staff are horrible people and need to learn a thing or two about food allergies several times I was given broccoli on my plate when it clearly has been highlighted and circled as a food allergy and still they serve it to me not once or twice but 4!!!! Times everyone in that kitchen either needs to be released or re trained you don't go to a hospital to extend a stay because workers don't wanna do their job correctly you go to get healed and go home safely... You should be ashamed of yourselfs!!
Hi Jeremy, we do take your feedback seriously and would like to learn more. If you could submit your information to us here, https://bit.ly/ContactUsBSWH, we would like to have a representative look into these concerns.
Fantastic experience: My son had an ultrasound yesterday and I must say I am impressed with the hospital service we received. Down from the front receptionist to the registration and finally to the radiology department, everyone have been really helpful and accommodating. They even have a staff to guide you which way you are going which is very considerate of the hospital. The ultrasound tech seemed efficient and approachable with questions this nervous mama had. Even the radiology receptionist was very nice and accommodating. Would definitely recommend this hospital!
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us, jo! It is our top priority to provide the highest level of care and service to our patients. We appreciate you taking the time to recognize the staff!
Negative experience: Went in, got some needles poked into me (and painfully, unprofessionally pulled out), came out with a crippling debt letter, and nobody gave me a clear answer on what was wrong with me
Hi Nathan, we take your feedback seriously and would like to learn more. If you're interested in speaking with a representative about your concerns, please submit your information to us here, https://bit.ly/ContactUsBSWH.
Negative experience: This man came in and gave me cough medicine literally that’s all they did oh we don’t do not testing anymore for anything could even take a look at my lungs or nothing guess I was just a waste of his breath the er here is horrible they just in it say this that take this get out we don’t like doing our jobs i honestly thought I might have a bad upper respiratory infection or bronchitis I guess antibiotics tho are to menacing to give out so instead getting down to the problem I was sent with the cough medicine saying they don’t do no testings anymore I’m keep my appointment with my pcp unfortunately I have to wait two weeks why I ended up going to this careless place

Fantastic experience: This is the 2nd time I have had to use the ER. I came in here because another hospital well Parkland treated me like nothing. The moment I walked into this hospital I was welcomed from the security guard, front desk check in and everyone to the back. I was taken care of in a timely manner and the pain I was having has been settled to where I am comfortable. Thank you again for the great experience. This is also coming from someone who doesn’t live close to this hospital but well worth the drive to get taken care of.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us, Monica! It is our top priority to provide the highest level of care and service to our patients.
Fantastic experience: I delivered twins via c-section two weeks ago & I was so scared because of previous review…. But when I tell y’all I had THE BEST Experience there, everyone was amazing! From the moment I walked through the doors at 5am to the time I left… the anesthesiologist (I believe his name was Sage) was absolutely amazing and so kind! All the nurses were so helpful, sweet & caring, two nurses in particular I believe their names were Rachel & Peyton were the best! They were so attentive to my needs and pain I was having, I will forever remember nurses like them! I did have one rude nurse, I cannot remember her name but she was older, but every hospital has one rude I feel like lol, she may have just been tired… but that didn’t affect my experience. Highly reccomend this hospital for L&D, thank you to everyone who took care of me & my twins, y’all are amazing!
We appreciate you taking the time to share your review, Ruby! Your feedback is very important to us in our ongoing efforts to provide service of the highest quality to our patients. Fantastic experience: We have been Baylor patients for years. My father was hospitalized many times. His care was always first rate. He passed in the ER in Irving in 2010. The nurses & staff & Dr’s are very supportive. My husband passed in the same ER 2018. Again the care & treatment for the families is compassionate & professional. I’m so grateful to have a first class facility so close!!
Thank you for sharing your review with us, Barbara. We’re glad our team could provide comfort and support to your family during those times. Patient experience is very important to us and we want you to know your feedback is greatly appreciated.
Fantastic experience: Nurses and Doctor were amazing. Took my daughter at Baylor in Irving for fever and stomach pain. I am so grateful for the amazing work done by nurses ( Ashley F. and Kanai) and Doctors (Dr Elisabeth Lemoyne Grant, MD and Dr Jordan Staats). All the teams were not only knowledgeable but also really care about the progress of my daughter. This team deserves a praise. I had my baby at this Hospital 7 years ago and I still take all my kids there for any emergency. Stay blessed nurses and Doctors at BaylorScott and White in Irving.
Thank you for recognizing Nurses Ashley F., Kanai, Dr. Elisabeth Lemoyne Grant and Dr. Jordan Staat, Chantal! We take pride in the high-quality care and service we provide our patients and we are honored to be the hospital of choice for you and your family.
Negative experience: Hospital sucks!!!! Nurse was rude and doctor didn't help!!!!!!!!! When a person comes for help stop assuming they are doing drug seeking behavior.
Hi Melissa, we have received your contact request and we are escalating these concerns. A representative will look into this and reach out to you to discuss your experience.
Fantastic experience: Went in for my chest hurting and not being able to breathe much. They got me in fast, no wait. All of my nurses were extremely helpful, funny and welcoming. Especially my main nurse Micheal C. I really like this hospital. My boyfriend was here a few months ago for a cyst on his lower back and they were amazing towards him as well. This is the only hospital I suggest.

Thank you for sharing this glowing review with us, Linda! Patient experience is very important to us and your feedback is greatly appreciated.
Negative experience: Don't ever come here during the morning. The morning nurses are absolutely rude and talk behind your back when they think you can't hear them. Night nurse are so much nicer and helpful.
We take the feedback of our patients seriously and would like the chance to learn more about these concerns, Gisel. If you're interested in speaking with a representative, please submit your information to us here, https://bit.ly/ContactUsBSWH.
Negative experience: Had an ER visit this morning. Diana the ER nurse was very cold and standoffish. No comforting chatter or even an offer for a blanket. She seems agitated when called for assistance and slammed cabinet doors in a hostile manner when entering or ER room. Offered no assistance to use the rest room and was sent home with a bloody bandage. Poor customer service.
Hi David, we take patient feedback seriously and would like the chance to learn more about these concerns. If you could submit your information here, https://bit.ly/ContactUsBSWH, we’d like to have a hospital representative reach out to you directly.

Fantastic experience: The ladies in the records department (Kachanda M & Nateesha J) were EXTREMELY helpful, knowledgeable and informative. I greatly appreciate their assistance today with a small predicament we had. They helped resolve the issue(s) and more. I tip my hat to you both!
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us, Christian! It is our top priority to provide the highest level of care and service to our patients. We appreciate you taking the time to recognize Kachanda M. and Nateesha J.!

We appreciate you taking the time to share your review, Sonny! Your feedback is very important to us in our ongoing efforts to provide service of the highest quality to our patients and their family members.
Negative experience: This is the worst hospital! My father is 85 years old and has COPD and gets pneumonia and they just act like this is no big deal and keep him in the ER for hours and then release him. The nurses and Doctors act like they don't care and take the time to really evaluate him and give him the proper treatment! Way to use the Medicare and take advantage of the patient and charge them outrageously.
Hi Cindy, we do take your feedback seriously and would like to learn more. If you could submit your information to us here, https://bit.ly/ContactUsBSWH, we would like to have a representative look into these concerns.
Negative experience: I was sent there by my medical provider to get my dvt ultrasound done. Reaching there I asked the lady working at the front desk what would be my out of pocket payment for that, she said $75 which I paid right away since I had done my ultrasound for the same deductible. Later on they keep sending me bill asking for another $75. And was telling me that they would give it to collections and also said that the lady working oat the front desk didn't know how much deductible is. Why should I pay for their untrained employee. Worst service n total rip off
We take the feedback of our patients seriously and would like the chance to learn more about these concerns, AKBAR. If you could submit your information to us here, https://bit.ly/ContactUsBSWH, we would like to have a representative look into these concerns.
Negative experience: The doctors evaluated us never got our labs back. It was in pending when we got in there the six hours before hand they said it was gonna take 45 to 90 minutes for our labs then discharge both of us. I have a broken foot and possibly the flu Gave us paper prescription. The pharmacy said they couldn’t fill it that it had to be sent over call Baylor back told him what the pharmacy said and then Baylor said they’re not filling my prescription that I have to find a way to get the papers to the pharmacy because once they give you a paper they won’t fill your prescription which I did not ask for And then hung up on my face. Disgusting customer service poor communication never addresses the problem! Do not go here. There is a hospital called medical city also in Irving that may be a better fit if you are sick

Fantastic experience: Labor and delivery is amazing from the nurses to the doctors! I had the most easy smooth labor today. The nurses are definitely passionate and cares about you and will go the extra mile for you! Best hospital to have your baby at!!
Thank you for sharing this glowing review with us, Chanissia! Patient experience is very important to us and your feedback is greatly appreciated. On behalf of the Baylor & Scott White Health family, congratulations on welcoming your new bundle of joy!
Fantastic experience: I want to thank Baylor S& White for taking very good care of me from the moment I walked through their doors and walked out. The food was outstanding, my care and nursing team were the most caring and professional as it could ever get on the 4th floor. I want to thank my Doctors for professional and accurate care. I will be truly missing all the nurses from the 4th floor. ❤️
Thanks for sharing so much love, Krysti! We're so happy to hear how pleased you are with the care you received at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Irving. We appreciate you taking the time to recognize the staff!
Fantastic experience: If I could give 1000 stars I would. A family member was recently hospitalized for a couple days. Every single Doctor, Nurse and Tech that helped during their care were so amazingly wonderful and helpful. I have been to a different couple hospitals and I can honestly say the staff here are superb at their job. Thank you everyone for your service!
We appreciate you taking the time to share your review, Ana! Your feedback is very important to us in our ongoing efforts to provide service of the highest quality to our patients and their family members.
Negative experience: Gave birth here to my 3rd baby. Worst experience ever the nurse was so horrible and mean wouldn’t even let my spouse hold my hand while pushing. She made me very aware that my going into labor was an inconvenience to her. I recommend Methodist had amazing experience there for my first two children.
Hi Francisca, we do take your feedback seriously and would like to learn more. If you could submit your information to us here, https://bit.ly/ContactUsBSWH, we would like to have a representative look into these concerns.
Negative experience: This ER is the worst emergency room in the state every time I go here They are more concerned about the fact that I don't have insurance and not actually treating me. They only treat the symptom they never tell you what is the cause. they don't look into anything they are lazy and unprofessional
Hi Dusty, we do take your feedback seriously and would like to learn more. If you could submit your information to us here, https://bit.ly/ContactUsBSWH, we would like to have a representative look into these concerns.
Negative experience: Was transferred from Forney for an ENT surgery! Which wasn’t explained until 30 mins before that I needed the surgery! Charge nurses will lie just to keep you longer. Waiting 5 plus hours for discharge papers just to be told you need more meds and another overnight stay. This place will not communicate with you what is going on with your health until you start pushing to be heard. I was told by 3 nurses I’d be taking care of with breakfast. They showed up with lunch 4 hours later. Asking for pain meds is a joke. 45 to an hour just for them to come back in and check vitals and say. Oops we forgot. If you need a hospital with people that can’t veins so they poke you 20 times or if you’re looking for zero communication this is your place. Upset they will be getting my money for this visit!
Corey, we value all feedback and appreciate you taking the time to share. If you could submit your information to us here, https://bit.ly/ContactUsBSWH, we can help escalate your concerns and ask a hospital representative to reach out to you directly.
Positive experience: Please suggest Children's Medical Center of Dallas Hospital when a minor comes in needing mental help. The Emergency Department Behavioral Services recommended three hospitals and wrote it down on paper which I could not understand the writing. I picked one that was readable a bit called Melwood Hospital in Arlington. What the heck the professionals recommend this Hospital to minors. I had no clue how bad melwood was I would not have sent my daughter there. Never got the care we needed. My recommendations are that Baylor please recommend Children's Medical Center of Dallas to minors where there are actual professionals for children. We went through an entire week of a nightmare that my child is forever scarred for everything she seen. I took my child out right on time. My child was sick as a dog with flu coming out of that hospital of a nightmare. Children's would of been a more pleasant experience. What a disappointment of a nightmare these recommendations the Behavioral Dr's at Baylor are recommending. I hope this helps someone.
Hi Carla, we value all feedback and appreciate you taking the time to share. If you're interested in speaking with a hospital representative, please submit your information to us here, https://bit.ly/ContactUsBSWH.
Fantastic experience: I am very Happy with my Experience at this Hospital. I recently had my New Born delivered at this hospital. The Hospital Staff were great and the Doctors and Nurses were extremely helpful in making my Delivery an easy process. They helped me through my Labor and also the after recovery Process. My stay was pleasant and I would highly recommend this Hospital for everyone.
Thank you for sharing this glowing review with us, M! Patient experience is very important to us and your feedback is greatly appreciated. On behalf of the Baylor & Scott White Health family, congratulations on welcoming your new bundle of joy!
Fantastic experience: I spent 2 nights in the emergency, two nights in a row, and I am so thankful for Dr Johnson, Tesla the wonderful nurse, the people that did my scans, and each and every person I met was so kind and so caring. I am so thankful. I was really sick. Now, I am better!
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us, Nancy! It is our top priority to provide the highest level of care and service to our patients. We appreciate the shout-outs to Dr. Johnson, nurse Tesla, and the staff!
Negative experience: They were busy which isn’t abnormal for a hospital. My complaint is that they had beds laid out all across the hallways as “rooms” to tend to patients due to renovations the hospital is having. There is absolutely no privacy, no curtains, not even space from the beds to speak privately. Everyone’s just talking about their health concerns out loud disclosing their diagnosis, medication needs, and personal contact information with people across from you and next to you on both sides about 4 feet away. Definitely some sort of HIPAA violation.
Dania, we value all feedback and appreciate you taking the time to share. If you're interested in speaking with a representative, please submit your information to us here, https://bit.ly/ContactUsBSWH.
Fantastic experience: I went in for labor of my baby. I had to have a last minute C-section and the staff was so supportive and made sure I was comfortable and felt safe in their care. During my stay I had the best team. Anali and Catherine from labor and delivery 6th floor was by the far the best nurses I’ve ever experienced. They made me feel seen and heard and even gave hugs when needed. Above and beyond is an understatement. Highly recommended for after birth care.
Thanks for sharing so much love, Lotus! We're so happy to hear how pleased you are with the care you received at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Irving. On behalf of the Baylor Scott & White Health family, congratulations on welcoming your new bundle of joy!
Negative experience: Over the years the remodel has improved the look of the hospital on the outside, however they should consider revamping their staff as well. The only plus is majority of attending doctors are amazing, but the nurses don’t care how they talk to family or patients. Some have compassion where others forget they are working with the ill and treat them however their mood fits.
Hi Taryn, we do take your feedback seriously and would like to learn more. If you could submit your information to us here, https://bit.ly/ContactUsBSWH, we would like to have a representative look into these concerns.
Fantastic experience: I’m very happy with this hospital. My daughter was born yesterday and everyone was so helpful and kind. It was a great experience for me as well as mom and baby. The staff were excellent, the facility in general is very clean and nice. I would recommend to anyone looking for a hospital to have a baby.
We appreciate you taking the time to share your review, Zach! Your feedback is very important to us in our ongoing efforts to provide service of the highest quality to our patients and their family members. On behalf of the Baylor Scott & White Health family, congratulations on welcoming your new bundle of joy!
Negative experience: Please choose to deliver at another hospital! This hospital will ignore all of your concerns and disregard any type of pain you tell them you are experiencing. The nurses in labor and delivery triage do not advocate for laboring mothers! They are horrible and insensitive! Not to mention INCOMPETENT! I am traumatized by my experience at this hospital and by the negligence of the medical staff.
Hi jessie, we take patient feedback seriously and would like the chance to learn more about these concerns. If you could submit your information here, https://bit.ly/ContactUsBSWH, we’d like to have a hospital representative reach out to you directly.
Negative experience: If I could give zero stars I would, my sister went to this hospital to have her baby, the nurse gave her the epidural before she was 3 cm and 12 hours later she was rushed back for a c section, they also said she had an infection in her blood so they ran antibiotics on her , she was in there for a few days and they released her without doing any more blood work to see if the infection was gone, when we asked the doctor he was very rude and snapped back with “we don’t do blood work like that” and walked out , he said they can just tell by having a fever or no fever , she got home and over night her temp went up to 103 and she was rushed into a emergency room , the baby also is sick and was rushed in as well, her c section incision is also leaking. They failed to tell us the baby could have it as well, it was never mentioned, any time we had a question the doctors and most of the nurses were extremely rude and uncaring, we felt like they were lying the entire time and being very shady with things , on all her paperwork we can’t even find any of the doctors names cause it just says “staff”. Any time she would press the call button for something she needed they would take 2 hours or we would have to remind them to please come help her, they acted like they didn’t want to do their job and were always so rude to us . This is my baby sister, and to see her going what she is going through because the negligence of people who have DEGREES for this, is honestly disgusting and very sad . I could not believe the way this hospital was, I have never seen such uncaring and disgusting behavior . Nurses and doctors are supposed to help people, not lie about information and rush them out of the hospital without proper care. DO NOT HAVE YOUR BABY HERE!!!!
We take the feedback of our patients and their family members seriously and would like the chance to learn more about these concerns, paris. If you could submit your information to us here, https://bit.ly/ContactUsBSWH, we would like to have a representative look into these concerns.
Negative experience: I only visit this place because it’s near my home. Otherwise, I would visit another hospital. The service is very hit or miss. Mostly miss. The last visit was one of the bad ones. My husband got injured at work so we had to take him to make sure he didn’t break anything. The lady at the er check in wasn’t welcoming. Instead of letting my husband talk, she asked several questions back to back all while making faces. Maybe she was trying to keep the line moving but it came off as rude. The interaction with the doctor and nurse was ok. The person who asked for my husbands insurance was super rude and seemed to become ruder when my husband said that he can’t pay right then and that he doesn’t have insurance. She slapped the screen to face him to acknowledge documents. I should’ve been a Karen when these things happened but I didn’t want to make a bad situation worse. If I could make a recommendation to the owners, I’d suggest that they train their staff to better their customer service. There’s some good people working there but the ones with attitude are ruining it.
Hi Maria, we do take your feedback seriously and would like to learn more. If you could submit your information to us here, https://bit.ly/ContactUsBSWH, we would like to have a representative look into these concerns.
Negative experience: Do not have your babies here! While the hospital looks nice it lacks in empathetic doctors and staff. The level of treatment the hospital will give you is solely based on the insurance you have. Multiple instances in my labor where complications were completely preventable. My preemie baby never once went to NICU during my stay in the hospital but then had to be re admitted a few days after discharge for preventable reasons. Still dealing with errors in mine and my childs care during my labor and stay here. I did have great experience with some of the nurses and staff but unfortunately they couldn’t out weigh the negative experience with the doctors and care.
Hi Tania, we take patient feedback seriously and would like the chance to learn more about these concerns. If you could submit your information here, https://bit.ly/ContactUsBSWH, we’d like to have a hospital representative reach out to you directly.
Negative experience: I wish I would’ve read the reviews before Taking my mother to this hospital Hospital looks great from the outside but Rooms where hardly clean, elevators are dirty, restrooms are dirty. And when it comes to service and providers is horrible My mother passed at this hospital the providers knew what she had and they did nothing about it. It was impossible to talk to the doctor during the day, they were always busy or they weren’t in the hospital. Most of the nurses were nice and helpful but of course they just follow doctor’s orders. Even to get my mother’s death certificate sign it took days for the provider to signed. I honestly will recommend taking your loved one somewhere alse.
Cindy, if you could provide us with a way to get in touch via https://bit.ly/ContactUsBSWH, we would like to have someone reach out to you to learn more about this experience.
Negative experience: Horrible service. Wife came in for surgery and someone did not confirm insurance even though she had it scheduled for months. Very unprofessional. Typical Dallas County hospital. Blamed her insurance, however they took her deductible and co-pay payments months ago. Liars and not accountible. No wonder they have 2.8 out of 5 stars.
We take the feedback of our patients and their family members seriously and would like the chance to learn more about these concerns, Anthony. If you could submit your information to us here, https://bit.ly/ContactUsBSWH, we would like to have a representative look into these concerns.
Negative experience: If you are in Dallas County, without insurance and in need of medical help I highly suggest the emergency room at either UT Southwestern or Parkland both of which are on or easily accessible using either interstate highway I-35E, Harry Hines Blvd or the DART train line. Baylor Scott/White in Irving admitted me for heart issues. Once I was in the CCU the drain in the bathroom in my hospital room kept getting sewage back flow in the shower making it unsanitary and unusable. After a week there I wanted to bathe, but the staff refused to arrange an alternative shower for me, instead putting in maintenance requests to fix the shower which, because it was a systemic plumbing issue that was affecting multiple rooms on multiple floors depending on where you were and therefore could not be immediately fixed and even after it was fixed because of what had already gone on and because the room wasn't really all that clean to begin with I knew that it was still problemic and did not feel comfortable showering there although after 3 days of Maintenance requests not accomplishing anything I put plastic bags over my feet and force myself to do so. Medical City is generally a treat and Street facility for people with no insurance although they'll treat you like a God if you got good insurance. The only thing that is good about Medical City to me is Green Oaks is available to homeless population and Indigent and people that need it. Green Oaks Psychiatric at Medical City) so when it comes to my opinion of Baylor Scott White and Irving I say if you are not hail of Health already and you have the potential to be infected by things when exposed to them then go to UT Southwestern go to Parkland if I'm ever going to go to Baylor it'll be the one on Gaston Avenue but Irving is disgusting horrible pit of repair that hasn't been done for years and years. Stay away

Negative experience: Unprofessional, poor bedside manners by nurses not to mention a lack in cleanliness when dealing with the patient. I say deal because they really don't care. 3rd world level here, I take that back I have experienced of 3rd world country hospitals that do a better job and actually care.
Hi Mary, we do take your feedback seriously and would like to learn more. If you could submit your information to us here, https://bit.ly/ContactUsBSWH, we would like to have a representative look into these concerns.
Negative experience: Had my baby here less than a week ago. Receptionists were not caring at all- I had registered for my birth two months prior apparently they couldn't find me. I was 10cm dilated when I arrived, she took her time to walk me over to L&D. Baby was born 5min after I arrived at triage. They didn't respect my birth plan. I wanted delayed cord clamping they said they could only do it for a minute. Outdated. This was my fourth baby - first time this happens. With all others I had at least 10min before it got cut. I told them several times- they still cut it. Told them to not wipe off vernix off baby- the nurses said they couldn't - again I'm the parent but since I was in bed delivering placenta I guess they see it as a sign of weakness and disregard your desires altogether. The food was very limited- small portions. I was never able to choose what I wanted to eat for breakfast. I ate half of what they sent. I asked the nurse to order me dinner twice before cutoff time- never got it. My husband was supposed to get a tray in every meal as written on their new mommy menu- lol we got this menu the day we got discharged. SMH. Their glucose meter kept failing- the nurse unnesarily poked my child 4 different times to get a reading. I recommend medical city instead. Menu is way better. Rooms are bigger. And your spouse can actually sleep in a futon instead of a chair. Avoid this hospital- however if you must- bring your own pump I was able to get a hospital grade pump until 36hrs later because they didn't have any available. Also they dont provide ice packs for vaginal soreness. Bring your own I recommend the Frida postpartum kit. Good luck.

Fantastic experience: Today was a miracle to me. I had been in so much pain. I saw Dr last night. He gave me a miracle. He gave me relief I was needing so badly. I walked into emergency room with such great pain. I walked out with no pain. I can't hardly believe it. I can now do things I couldn't before. My quality of life is better today. I'm so glad I seen the Dr that was working last night. Please I hope he sees this and know what miracle he did he helped me. Thank You.
Thanks for sharing so much love, Carla! We're so happy to hear how pleased you are with the care you received at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Irving.
Fantastic experience: This hospital is awesome. I arrived on Valentines Day at 3:00am and they were so quick to get me a room and determine what was wrong with me. I got surgery that same day and the nurses who were in charge of watching over me on the 6th floor were the absolute best. I am more than thankful and grateful for this team of Angels. Thank you!!!!!! they all deserve recognition from checking me in to checking me out, what an outstanding experience! Thank you once again. :) Cynthia Nunez
Fantastic experience: Unfortunately I had to go to the emergency twice this week. The first time I sprained my knee and the second time for an infection. The nurses were so nice and I was cared for immediately. All my questions were answered and they handled everything promptly. Everything was cleaned and organized. The first time I went in one of the doctors on called came in and talked to me and explained my knee condition. I really appreciated that because he went above and beyond his duty. This week was full unexpected circumstances but I am glad that I went to this hospital to get treated. The staff were very caring. Thanks for taking care of me twice this week. Excellent customer service and patient care

Fantastic experience: I had a procedure done with Dr. Kinman at this hospital and had to stay for 2 nights on the 6th floor. My night nurse Nicole was so awesome and my Day nurses Connie(short for her real name) and Carolina just as good. I don’t think I was difficult, probably a little needy and every single one of those nurses went above and beyond. You could tell they truly love their jobs and it was reflected in the care for me as a patient. Totally recommend this hospital for those that are having a procedure done.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us, Tiffany! It is our top priority to provide the highest level of care and service to our patients. Thank you for the shout-outs to Nurse Nicole, Nurse Connie, and Nurse Carolina!
Negative experience: I’m Glad This Is My First And Last Time Here. Check In And Morning Doctor’s And Nurses Were Great. Very Attentive, Kind, Nice. After Having My Baby Though And Shift Change Everything Went Down Hill My Night Shift Nurse Is All Over The Place I Guess She’s Over Worked/Busy But My Room Is Extremely Hot And Im Very Uncomfortable The Room Needs Remodeling They Are Very Small And The Very First Room I Went To Was Very Cramped Ceiling Was Leaking And Restroom Had A Very Loud Sewer Smell To It Have To Do Better Especially Since We Can No Longer Go To Las Colinas Medical Center Anymore!

Negative experience: I was admitted to hospital on 06/22 Emergency room physician care, Concern and quality was exceptional. Once the care was handed over to their hospitalist program - it’s only chart care - no Patient care by physician or their associates for next 18 hrs almost costing me my life . Nursing care was exceptional and intact I credit them for saving my life . I already expressed all these to chief medical officer . Total neglect at a critical time of care but perfect chart recording shows total dissociation of patient care and chart care . I was not examined by any physician or nurse practitioner for next 20 hours but multiple changes made in my treatment plan with reason and my knowledge. It’s sad - sad I believed in Irving Baylo hospital- helped raised money for their charity care as a board member at IHCF So say the least I Am Disappointed Prakash Ranka

Fantastic experience: A great hospital with some great people. We are more of a family here and even though it is not a small hospital, the beauty of this place is that we know each other not just as a number but as a person with a name. I’ve been blessed to be part of this hospital for almost a decade
Fantastic experience: The visit was great all the crew was great but Jasmin stood out. Jasmin was really helpful and pleasant and fun. Jasmin is really down to earth person. Kept our spirits up. I would have her for a nurse anytime. Great work Jasmin in day surgery.
Thank you for sharing this glowing review with us, Sonia! Patient experience is very important to us and your feedback is greatly appreciated. Thank you for sharing these kind words to nurse Jasmin!
Fantastic experience: Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Irving Texas is the best clinical hospital in Irving Texas. The Doctors are amazing here for my children. I’ve been coming here for 18 years and will continue to come . One of the best most clean and incredible staff here at pediatrician office.
We appreciate you taking the time to share your review, Ismael! Your feedback is very important to us in our ongoing efforts to provide service of the highest quality to our patients and their family members.
Fantastic experience: Every muse out the was great . I still remember 1 of the best ones name Grace who asked me to remember (Ball&PopCorn) when I came into emergency. Also all the nurses on 4th floor where awesome. (Kayla,Susan,Roseline,Emi, etc.) y’all are great. Y’all make the difference there. Appreciate you all. Everything was great. Just wish Baylor had better plans for people with no insurance or at least provide the same medicines and treatment to all patients. Instead of refer them to Parkland! Aside of this, all nurses and most doctors are great.

Negative experience: I’d like to start of by saying that this review pertains to the ER service pre treatment. After I was admitted the staff (ER doctors and nurses) and treatment were easily 4-5 stars. I’ve been to this ER twice and the experience has been worse each time. The front desk receptionist are the reason for this one star rating. Worst experience and extremely rude and lack basic customer service. I wish I could remember their names. Health care industry shouldn’t be your career of choice to those receptionists, because you are toying with peoples literal lives. I was vomiting for 3hrs straight non stop, I filled up 2 vomit bags waiting to be seen. I almost lost consciousness and got severe chest pains. If it wasn’t for my sisters calling 911 while we were waiting in the lobby I really don’t think I’d be here today. Baylor PD came to us, went and told the receptionist to get us back there and in 15 minutes I was admitted to the hospital and getting treatment. The team on the 5th was bravo. I left them a separate review. My advice is if you are in an extreme emergency please drive to a different ER. The extra 20-30 minute drive to be seen in a reasonable time will be better than waiting 4hrs while you’re in excruciating pain. But if you’re not in extreme pain or true emergency then chose this ER.

Positive experience: I have been to this ER 2 times so I split process in two segments. The actual checking into the ER at the front desk and the healthcare provided. I’ll start with the health care. The staff does such an amazing job once you get back there. The doctors and nurses are incredible and I give kudos to all of them. Thank you so much for your service. The place where BSW falls short is the front desk receptionist check in. BSW needs to do a better job training the front desk staff on how to access patients. There are some ppl that drive to the ER cause they are in discomfort but all in all they are okay and can afford to wait 2/3hrs to see a healthcare provider . There are some ppl that drive to the ER cause they are in excoriating pain and they feel their life slowly slipping away. To make those ppl wait in the ER room while they are steadily losing life is absolutely crazy to me. For you to watch someone coming in and out of consciousness and turning purple because pain has taken over their body and now they aren’t getting oxygen to their body but you’re acting nonchalant is a bit ridiculous to me. All in All we had to call 911 in the ER LOBBY for get medical attention. When Baylor PD got involved is the only time the front desk took action. Thank you Baylor PD.

Negative experience: Honestly sick and tired of this place seems like you need to be gushing blood or dying in order to get attention!!I wonder if they even have enough doctors on staff it’s so hard for them to check you. They check you in take your vitals and ask all these questions only to sit you down in a room for two hours + honestly after everything I went through with them in 2016 they are lucky I didn’t take them to court they changed it upgraded the hospital since then but service to the patient still is bad if you can go to parkland just go there they may take longer to get you in but they will make sure you leave with a diagnosis instead of we don’t know what it could be! Where are the real doctors where is the patient care we deserve. Thousands of dollars for what!!!!

Fantastic experience: Lydia in the ER unit was amazing had been calling the hospital several times to get better explanation on test done and she was the only one that was able to help me and answered all my questions.
Fantastic experience: Just had my little girl here, I recommend having your babies here. Nurses were so kind and helpful, we had 0 issues and will be coming back.
Fantastic experience: I recently finished chemotherapy with Dr. Kancharla. She was compassionate and knowledgeable. She explained things clearly and treated my difficult side effects promptly. The nurses and intake staff were wonderful and respectful. And ringing that bell after the last treatment was beyond satisfying.
Thank you for sharing your journey with us, Margaret. It is truly inspiring for everyone to hear. Please know, we are always here to support you in every step of your journey.
Negative experience: Most staff were pretty great I think the system is a bit off. I was there for 5 days and I needed iron infusions. The 3rd nurse who gave me my 4th iron infusion pushed it in so quickly, in a little over 1 minute. I was scared because a nurse told me it has to be pushed in over the course of 5 minutes. As the nurse was pushing it in, I kept telling her it was hurting, or that it really hurt and I was flinching the whole time about to cry but she kept pushing it in pretty much at the same pace. The next day when it was time for my next and last infusion, a nurse tried pushing in saline to flush the line and it hurt so bad!! My arm was swollen and they had to get an ultrasound. I had iron deposits stuck in my vein. Should go away in 3 days with a compress but I can't move my arm so daily life right now is so hard cause it's my dominant arm. They said I could go back to work but I can't. I literally can't extend my arm fully and with every step it pulses. It got even more swollen and I'm a little scared. Its only been like 2 hours since I was discharged.

Negative experience: Now I’ve been here before and it’s not particularly super bad but this time it was so bad. I went into the emergency room with my mother because she was showing strong signs of a stroke, keep in mind she was unconscious and I was in full blown panic mode trying to admit her in. I really wish I could’ve gotten these ladies names but I unfortunately did not, which that being said, these ladies DO NOT deserve to be in the healthcare field. Why the hell would you go through all the schooling AND money just to be so helpless!? LIKE WHY?… why would you yell at my UNCONSCIOUS mother??? she’s freaking unconscious!!! and you bet i snapped back at her! like absolutely not. UGH SO UNPROFESSIONAL! now I understand why you guys get such a bad rep. In other words, both RN Kaylee & Ester were so nice and helpful, I definitely appreciate their help.

Negative experience: Time: 5:30PM Date: 04/03/2023 (EMERGENCY FRONT DESK ANNIE) I'm really dissapointed beacuse we been coming to this hospital for the past 15 years and we never been encounter with someone so rude that did not even let me speak and over spoke me just beacuse i came out of the doors from the police side security. Before this happend, I made sure to ask a nurse in the room that if i went out another family member could step in and the nurse said yes. Well Annie at the front emergency desk stopped me and she was completly rude. As i walked out and waved to my brother to come in to stay with my mom who was hospitalized for congestive heart failure. She stopped us and told me with a high tone that she saw what i was doing?? I was completly confused. I was trying to explain my self that a nurse had talked to me and told me that 1 person was allowed and if i went out, I could switch with my brother. But Annie did not even let me talked. She kept over talking me and saying that by law i could not do that. I don't see where i did wrong. We been going there for 15 years and no one has ever said something like that. The way i feel is that she had officers in the front checking in patients as they walked in and she felt over powered to raise her tone and point me to them with her finger and told me that if i needed to file a complaint to go to them. Like excuse me. All i asked was for her name after she finished complainting to me. She really did made me uncomfortable and i swear that is no customer service. As i walked to sit in the waiting area she was talking to another nurse next to her and laughing and looked like she was laughing at me for what just had happend and repeating her self about "the law" I've never been disrespected in that way where i had the words at the tip of my toungue and she did not want to listen to what I had to say. I really am dissapointed and hope yall do something about her.She was wearing blue with a vest and she is black african american with glasses.

Fantastic experience: I had a procedure today. From the porter the registration lady Ester nurses anesthesia and of course Dr Crime. I was treated kindly snd with respect. Everyone was friendly and let me what to expect. I would recommend to anyone to get your procedures here. Thank you to all of you. I was scared before today but you made it safe!
The experience of our patients is very important to us, shelli, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. We wish you a speedy and healthy recovery!
Negative experience: They have the worst service! First time I came a lady at the front desk was yelling at me because she thought I was a worker there when I was trying to explain to her that I had an appointment to get a physical done and I was looking for the room. This time is here to get a vaccine and I told the nurse I don’t feel too good I feel dizzy and like I’m about to pass out and I don’t want ti get the vaccine anymore instead I want medical attention for how I’m feeling. And I also mentioned I won’t be able to drive home with the state I’m feeling now. She proceeded to insist that I still get the vaccine and that anything else I was feeling was non of her business. She said if I want yo get checked I have to schedule an appointment for another day or go downstairs to the urgent care. I walked downstairs to the urgent care and waited for attention. They said they can’t see me until I make a payment. I asked if they can first treat me and later we can figure out a payment plan. She said that’s not possible and if I want immediate attention I have to go to the ER! I told them I don’t feel okay to keep walking around and they had no concern. Worst experience I’ve ever received

Negative experience: This hospital is a complete joke. I have had 4 previous heart attacks and am in stage one heart failure. I had to call an ambulance because of severe chest pains and shortness of breath. I even blacked out while on the phone with 911. When I arrived that morning the hospital was not very busy but the staff didn't seem to be in much of a rush to care for me. I was in horrible, horrible pain and crying out for help. I was accused of possibly faking my condition by the nurse claiming that I just came in for pain meds. The only medication I received was a few doses of nitro under my tongue and some aspirin. After my blood was drawn and the labs came back that I wasn't having another heart attack and 4 hrs later I was sent home. Thank God I went strait to U.T. where they immediately took my condition serious. They found 3 blocked arteries that were more than %95 and a large blood clot in my right lung. I was near death and Baylor sent me home to die. I WILL NEVER EVER GO THERE AGAIN!! I hade to give one star because I couldn't post the truth unless I gave a rating.

Fantastic experience: Many thanks to the doctors and staff at BSW Irving Hospital for my best hospital stay ever. From admission through the ER, to pacemaker surgery the following day, to discharge; every staff person in surgery, recovery or who entered my room was friendly and courteous. Without exception, prior to leaving my presence they always asked if I had any questions or they could get me anything else! When I did ask for something they stopped what they were doing and took care of it immediately. They actually made me feel like a "valued customer" rather than just another patient. Given a choice, I would return to BSW Hospital Irving tomorrow if needed!

Fantastic experience: Hospital gives wonderful care. I've had the unfortunate part of being here for 3 days sitting with family in the ICU. However the hospital keeping in the family waiting areas are horrible and
Negative experience: I won’t go to the ER or have my baby here. If you are thinking of delivering here DONT . Go to Texas Medothist in Euless instead. Better quality and staff is amazing ! 4/18: when I was had my baby in November ,they put us in a room the size of a closet . It was very hard to move around . I was refused certain postpartum items because they were on the other floor and some postpartum items I had to beg for . The food service lady was very rude . They took forever to bring us food the day I gave birth . I asked for an addition tray for my 3 yr old daughter and was denied . For the remainder of my stay I had to share A little tray with my daughter . The second reason why I wouldn’t go to Baylor in Irving is because I went there because my son was having trouble breathing . He was a month at the time . They swabbed his nose in the triage and then swabbed it again in the back roughly causing it to bleed . We waited for 2-3 hours to see the doctor and get results . When he did come in he was in a rush and told us to check online to see our results and discharged us . Turns out he had a respiratory virus but it wasn’t RSV . On the discharge paper , the doctor lied like he explained everything and gave us instructions on what to do . That wasn’t the case . We were sent on our way not knowing the results . I wouldn’t recommend this hospital to anyone ! Save yourself and little ones the trouble and go to medical City !
