Experiencia fantástica: I’m a medical student and due to this, my mind is my greatest asset. Unfortunately, I hurt my shoulder years ago and this caused debilitating headaches as a result of muscle tightness. I was left unable to study, exercise, and do fun activities with loved ones. I tried chiropractors, massages, stretches, etc. and nothing brought me relief until I visited PT associates. At PT associates, I had Dr. Kenny Young who took time to properly evaluate my injury, work out a mechanism, and create a plan to get me back to health. The capable staff assisted me with the corrective therapeutic execise needed to restore normal function and quiet pain in my leg. Today my balance is better, I have not fallen, and the pain is gone. When I originally came in due to shoulder labrum surgery, I had very little flexibility. After the surgery, I had the privilege of receiving physical therapy from Denise Sullivan, a skilled therapist at Physical Therapy Associates. What made my experience truly exceptional was Denise’s dedication and commitment to my recovery. She visited me in the hospital right after my surgery providing personalized care and guidance from the very beginning. I am also immensely grateful for the support and expertise of Gary Kearns, Jaron Griffith, Liesl Stratton Olson, and Krista Wells, who stepped in for Denise when she wasn’t available. Their knowledge and care were instrumental in my rehabilitation. Additionally, I would like to express my gratitude to Crystal Stratton and Rilee Miller for their exceptional assistance in helping me with my appointments, and always being so kind and a joy to speak with. There are many other like Taylor and Bree who assisted me and I was blessed to have met them. Thanks to their collective efforts, I have made significant progress, I can now walk up and down stairs with little to no pain, whereas before, it was quite painful. For 5 months I worked with Kenny and Jarron and they gave me the absolute best care and constantly catered to my abilities. I am so thankful for them and how much time they put into making sure I got back to where I wanted to be. I feel as though I will be back to where I was and even stronger because of PT Associates. Throughout the recovery process they have continued to work with me in a compassionate manner to get me back to full use of my shoulder. Experiencia fantástica: I had rotator cuff repair surgery in April of '21. My surgeon in Dallas told me that the only PT in Lubbock he would send me to was Lex Gillean at PTA. I've had PT for other issues at other places. Nothing has compared to the excellence of Lex and the PTA staff. The facility is large and very clean. It doesn't feel crowded like other facilities do. Lex was so encouraging and gentle. I was surprised at how quickly I began to regain strength and range of motion in my left arm/shoulder. It took a year to complete the healing process. I can't even believe that my shoulder could feel so normal again! In the future, I will use Lex for me PT for whatever ails me! He's the best!

About midway through my program, I slipped in the shower but did NOT fall! I didn't even rip the shower curtain down. :) I can't say enough good things about this place or the folks. Highly recommend Lexington, but all the physical therapists are top-notch!

Experiencia fantástica: With GREAT LUCK, the first Physical Therapist my Doctor sent me to did not accept my insurance. So I contacted Physical Therapy Associates. This is a great place with a hard working crew. I was lucky enough to get Lex Gillean as my therapist. Tearing my Achilles’ tendon and having a couple of flair ups/“almost re-tears” after surgery and before therapy, had me way behind schedule. Lex was willing to work with me and let me push myself, to a certain point of course for as long as I needed during each session. I now have full movement and zero pain and can do day to day activities without an issue. It is time now to rebuild the lost muscle. As an active mother of three my days turned sad at the beginning of each day, as I quickly realized doing daily functions (getting dressed, fixing my hair, cooking for my kids, playing with my kids, even sleeping) was now a struggle filled with pain. After starting therapy with Lex at PTA my husband pointed out the joy he saw come back in my face, even after just one session. After my first week of therapy I was starting to check off daily functions I was able to do on my own again and after a month I was back to playing basketball with the kids and working out with my husband. Even my orthopedist was shocked by how far my range had come back in such a short time. It took a team to get me where I am today and I am so thankful for the wonderful team at PTA, their constant encouragement and kindness was such a blessing during this challenging time in my life. Experiencia fantástica: The people here are wonderful and did a great job working with me to end my major back pain I started having at the beginning of the year due to a recently discovered permanent spinal condition. Taylor McCulloch was my therapist and worked with me through 12 sessions to get me on a home exercise plan to keep me feeling normal, despite the condition in my back that will never go away. I would highly recommend her as a therapist. This was my first experience with any kind of physical therapy but I couldn't have asked for better. Everyone here is super friendly and will gladly answer any questions you have. This is definitely the place I will make sure I come to again if I have any future physical therapy needs.

He pushed me to do my best with words of encouragement and always made sure I was not overdoing it. Experiencia fantástica: Referred to Physical Therapy Associates by my Dr Beals at Grace Clinic and I’m so thankful. I had some terrible shoulder pain causing my hand to go numb constantly. My Physical Therapist, Burt, said it would take 6-8 weeks and it wouldn’t be easy. He was spot on! I can now turn my head without my neck hurting and cross my arm across my body without my hand going numb. This is a direct result of Burt’s therapy and education on some physical lifestyle changes to prevent repeat injury. The equipment is in great condition and they keep everything sanitized after every use. The staff is polite and professional. After 1-2 visits they already know your name. Well organized, coordinated and you can see they are Christian based by the entire atmosphere.

Experiencia fantástica: I went to Physical Therapy Associates after injuring my back. My consultation started with me walking in, hunched over, and using a cane to walk. After a few sessions, I was able to walk without a cane and gained a large portion of my mobility back. I have completed my therapy plan and can walk and stand up straight. Lex and the team at Physical Therapy Associates have been amazing and I highly recommend them for any physical therapy needs!!!

Experiencia fantástica: I had lower back surgery early February 2019 and was recommended to Physical Therapy Associates. The first week after surgery I was hardly able to walk or even stand up or sit down due to post surgery. Going to Physical Therapy Associates I was excited to start being able to walk and move around again because I have always been very active from work, sports, and weightlifting. My PT Lex Gillean was outstanding through my whole time at Physical Therapy, he was able to get me moving quickly and had me doing exercises not only during PT but also when I was at home. The program to recovery that he had me on was amazing and I started to progress faster and faster and towards the last couple weeks I was upping my therapy to get me more active and able to do more things that I had been missing. Lex and all of his staff were polite and friendly, always checking on me and asking how I was doing each and every session. Doing my PT here was extremely helpful but also very fun, and I enjoyed being in that atmosphere that they provided. I have completed my PT sessions and I have come a long way and have done a lot of work to get to where I am but I couldn’t have done it without Lex and his staff. I am very thankful for the pride and dedication they have put into there work to help me on my road to recovery. This place is outstanding and I would not go anywhere else for any reason. Experiencia fantástica: I've had 3 different surgeries for my hips and have spent a lot of time here for physical therapy and am a little sad each time I get completely better, because the people here are so nice. Every time the therapists have been very nice, caring, and really work with me to get better fast. Some days I would walk in with pain and by the time I left it would be gone. They also do a great job explaining where you are, how far you've come, and next steps, which is nice when you have a lengthy recovery. The ladies who work the front desk are very friendly, the techs are nice and the therapists are fantastic!

Experiencia fantástica: PTA was wonderful, Burt was my main trainer and I could not recommend him more, but I also had the opportunity to work with multiple therapists when Burt was out of town, and all were very knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable right away. I was pretty paranoid after my surgery and Burt was always so kind and reassuring after listening to my concerns, I really appreciated his input and encouragement. Scheduling appointments were easy and if I had a scheduling conflict I was able to move things around without hassle. I enjoyed this place so much I even traveled back and forth from Amarillo to continue my care after my knee surgery.

Experiencia fantástica: My physical therapist, Autumn, was awesome! This is the second time I've used Physical Therapy Associates and Autumn - once after back surgery and this time hip replacement. She is extremely knowledgeable, professional yet personable. I would definitely go back if I needed therapy again. And the few times she couldn't be there, the other therapists have been great as well. Also, the place is extremely clean, and the assistants are awesome.

Experiencia fantástica: I had a total knee replacement in March, 2017. Kenny and the staff of Physical Therapy Associates took such good care of me. I am very pleased with the results of my therapy. Experiencia fantástica: I had a great experience while going here. I came in with an ACL tear and had to spend many months getting me back to normal. The therapist I work with was great, friendly, externally helpful, and made PT fun. They were also super flexible with my payments and allowed me to set up a payment plan which was so helpful for me so that I didn’t have to struggle financially while dealing with surgery costs as well. Definitely a great place to do PT!
