Experiencia negativa: I would never put a relative here! Went over here to visit and the manager is out detailing his white and red Dodge charger! So he's getting paid by the hour and he's out there cleaning his car! Thumbs down for sure do not put your relatives here!

Experiencia fantástica: PT/OT staff were wonderful. Consistent messaging, good instructions and helpful hints to my 89 y.o. old father. The PT/OT staff did a great job facilitating his ability to return to his home and continue with home care. My Dad was equally happy with the work of the PT/OT professionals. I will later post a separate review on the remainder of the facility.

Experiencia negativa: Terrible facility. They are a mess from top to bottom. They ignore and abuse their residents. Your family members will not be cared for here. I would never trust these people caring for a rock. I also have met people who have worked for them and they feel the facility is obviously mismanaged and feel unappreciated and underpaid.

Experiencia fantástica: My name is shelret I was in a bad bad car accident where my hip and pelvic was broken so I got a hip replacement and my pelvic plate dislocated knee my shoulder couldn't move I was in bad shape I couldn't do anything for myself except cry so when I first heard about this rehabilitation it was through my professor she taught in nursing school but my husband when he saw the 3 stars he said oh but still wanted to go and then when he walked in he said oh no no but looks are deceiving cause minute I enter my the bluiding the nurses the CNA were all there for me they welcome me it was so poverwhelming I got here about 6pm I was so traumatized from the hell treatment I got from hartford hospital but they show me a different lookon caring on loving your jobs with empathy them I meet the pt and ot omg Ajay is so patience so kind so great at his job and Maggie the ot they put me back on feet omg this rehabilitation is the best I know am bless grateful to each and every staff at crest field even the girl that makes the schedule for doctors appointments she is so generous kind humble thanks God for Crestfield they gave me back my tomorrow so grateful

Experiencia positiva: My dad was admitted to rehab after 2 weeks at Hartford Hospital. I just want to say that this place has the most caring, dedicated, and communitive staff ever! My dad is 90 with a myriad of issues and they are on top of it all. He needs a very specific injection weekly and they managed to have that available! I'm so appreciative. Yes, the facility is old (but CLEAN) and in need of a major makeover, but that does not stop the medical support staff in staying so positive and truly NICE.

Experiencia positiva: I would have rated 4.5 if possible. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! The only 'issue' is an admin. one. Staff is wonderful! Please keep that in mind. To be honest admin, probably has the same 'issue'. Out of their hands too, I believe. Staff is phenomenal! Everyone! Front desk, cleaning, nurses, aides & PT. Warm, friendly, attentive, great! Only "issue", facilities need to be updated. Not only for the patients but for the fabulous staff! It's clean, no doubt. Not all rooms have a/c. Common bathrooms need updating, this kind of thing. Decor is way outdated but that doesn't impact care. The "issues" actually speak to the professionalism & excellent care of staff. Despite these issues they are super! That to me says a lot. As with everything today, it comes down to money & let's face it, money is tight for everyone, incl. rehab & nursing homes. My loved one had an excellent experience. Raved about the food & staff, friendly, informed & really did care! Sent by the Hartford Hosp. A hosp. that I place full trust in 2 give & recommend best rehab & out patient care. Highly recommended! 4.5 Stars! Thanks to everyone! God Bless!!

Experiencia negativa: This rehab center does not even deserve one star. My father was sent here from Hartford Hospital because he tested positive at the hospital during his stay therefore he had to go to a rehab center that accepted Covid patients that Governor Lamont designates as a place of stay for 20 days as I was told. Shame on Governor Lamont for these types of facilities. Even though people have Covid they should be cared for. My father lost a lot of weight there. He was never fed which the facility had discharge orders to do from Hartford Hospital. They said that they were unaware of that. Needless to say my father was severely malnourished and needed up back in the hospital needing IV fluids and nutrition. The secretary there never answers the phone. The one nurse could not have been more rude and bothered when you got a hold of her. As far as PT my dad could not walk at all. Huge disappointment!!

Experiencia fantástica: My mother was admitted with pneumonia and had a rough road ahead of her. Her nurses have been patient and have taken exceptional care of her! This is a rarity in a field that is often plagued with neglect and abuse. Her social worker, Sandy, has shown such empathy, humility, and compassion in considering her care and adjusting as new issues have arisen. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone needing rehabilitation.

Experiencia fantástica: My Stepfather had a week long stay at Crestfield to strengthen himself after short hospital stay. We looked at other facilities, but the hospital staff highly recommended Crestfield. We saw some recommendations that were not too positive, but a friend who is a nurse said you can't solely go by internet postings. Our experience was that the room was very nice and he had a window to see family outside. The food was good, physical therapy was helpful 3x a day, the staff was supportive, and they communicated with family to keep us well informed. Preparing for release, a team of three staff had a conference call with me and another with my mom. They have managed in the Covid environment, and everyone gets tested weekly. I deeply appreciate their dedication to healthcare and the risk they are taking just by showing up for their jobs.

Experiencia positiva: I don't understand all the negative reviews I'm reading. Two of my cousins, my husband & myself have all been residents of Crestfield Rehab for a knee replacement, back issues, and a motorcycle accident which cause multiple breaks. We had nothing but GOOD things to say about this facility, including the food and staff. I imagine during COVID-19 there may have been problems with staffing, which slows down reaction to call bells, however during my stay I did not notice long responses. Maybe because we were all there for rehab vs convalescence, our week(s) long stays were very tolerable. Actually, I enjoyed my 2 week stay; it was like a vacation to me from the hustle & bustle of the crazy world. I have recently suggested Crestfield Rehab to a very dear friend of mine, Danny R, for his upcoming rehab. He's a great guy & deserves the best! Thank you,.

Experiencia negativa: My mother is lucky she was alive when she left. It was short of adult abuse. You don't make a person wait 2 hours to go to the bathroom when you are on water pill. You also don't tell them to pee in the bed and have them sleep in the bed. It is a good thing she was alert when they came to give medicine as it was for someone else on

Experiencia negativa: My husband is currently in this Godforsaken establishment. I am currently looking for another establishment for him. I really didn't even want to give it one star because they dont deserve it. All I can say is they have the worst visitation schedule set up due to Covid. I can only visit my husband once a week for an outside visit and if any of his friends visit than there's goes his visit for the week. And oh yes I do have to let everyone know that the staff sits outside within ear range so forget it if you want to discuss anything that maybe personal. Some of the staff are friendly but sadly most are not. Just a word of warning in my opinion dont use that facility.

Experiencia negativa: This is the worse rehabilitation center I’ve ever been to. Half of the staff is unprofessional and never in dress code. They let the call bells go off longer for than 30 minuets. In addition I have sat with my grandmother for 2 hours and not one nurse or nurses aide came in to check on her. The dietitian also made terrible recommendations in regards of what my grandmother should eat. She was getting baloney sandwiches for dinner. If you really care about your loved one you would not bring them here.

Experiencia negativa: I was recently placed in this facility for follow-up care following a medical situation that left me unable to walk. The staff, nurses, aides, and therapists were empathetic, kind and professional. Physical therapists and occupational therapist were dedicated to my care and presented me with a friendly, caring attitude that will be forever appreciated. The nursing staff at times seemed harried and overworked. Pain medication was a big part of my treatment at this facility; waiting one hour for pain meds (happened four times in three days) is contrary to the therapeutic care promised: my threats of wanting to be discharged was the only way for the supervisors of the nursing treatment team to take seriously the idea that a patient is capable of understanding and being involved with this sensitive area of treatment (pain management). The overall aesthetics of the ward were adequate: the food was deplorable( this facility should be ashamed of the meals served, considering the costs incurred by patients and insurance companies ran over $300.00 per day). The beds were detrimental to comfort: I strongly believe the minimal mattress and frame support lead to a unnecessary patient malaise. I wish I could recommend this facility, as again most staff are dedicated and well intentioned, but I can't. Crestfield is a nightmare many longterm patients are still enduring.

Experiencia negativa: This place is not one of the better places in the area. I visited about 5 different rehab centers and questioned various people at different rehab centers on what they thought of Crestfield as well as what they thought of other rehab centers. I was shocked to find out that may people had disheartening things to say about Crestfield. Seems like Crestfield is sub-par to many people. It sure is in my book. If you do similar research I am sure you will find out what I did.
