Experiencia fantástica: I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this place! This was my first time doing Physical Therapy and I question myself on why I didn't start sooner! I was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis in 2022. I have been to the doctor through the years and, of course, did a ton of stretching on my own. It just never seemed to truly take any pain away. Every day was constant pain, leaving me feel defeated and restricted in my workouts and every day activities. I knew I needed to try something different if I wanted different results. When I started my appointments with Top Grade, the staff was very welcoming. They always ensured to give their undivided attention and answer any questions. I never left confused or mistreated. They were also very thorough in their assessments and keeping track of each individuals' progress. The manual therapy was a game changer. While each therapist was different, but were all professional and knew exactly what they were doing. Deep tissue is what really works in the long run and though it may hurt for a moment, my experience was incredible. They also offer dry needling. I was a little skeptical at first. Turns out, i was such a fan, that I ended up going for 3 rounds of this throughout my time here. I had 2 appointments a week for just shy of 3 months. My pain level started at an 8 and was completely gone by the time I went to my last appointment. I know I am not out of the woods; however, they have definitely expanded my knowledge and appreciation on what exercises I need to keep up with and how to properly care for myself. I will continue everything on my own in order to maintain this new lifestyle. Although my time is through here, my journey has just begun! Experiencia fantástica: Got my life back! Story time: Got the worst complication in a herniated disc about 4 and a half months ago. Could not walk, could not bend, could not stand on my own two feet, walked in with a cane in one hand and the other holding onto Rufino. They were great, started me from zero, to strenghten my body, provided tools for me to excercise at home and speed up my recovery, Adrian and Valeria were great therapists, from massages to excercises to match my current level and even push onto the next. Ruffino gave me great pointers and recommendations on our Re-Evalutaions, really guided me into the best path for recovery while being straight with me regarding my current condition, and Aaron in the front made scheduling and paying for my appointments a breeze. Cannot thank you guys enough and I can finally said I am back to my old self! 10/10

They were able to teach me strengthening exercises as well as stretches for my sciatica, for which I had been suffering from for years! They were also able to help me with the arthritis pain I had in my neck. The whole staff was very knowledgeable and professional. It was also a very fun and relaxing atmosphere. Experiencia positiva: For the most part, I had a very good experience at Top Grade. Dr. Gutierrez and his team are very knowledgeable and professional. One negative is that you are given an appointment sheet for the upcoming week. You are told which therapists will be working on you on a given day. And then sometimes you get there and a different therapist calls you back. And you are given no explanation. Then you see the therapist you thought you were going to work with working on someone else. No explanation. That takes my rating down a notch. I believe if an appointment is set, it should remain in place, unless a reasonable explanation is given. Also, if you go to Top Grade, you had better really like hard rock music, because that is what you are going to be listening to throughout your session. That is absolutely not the kind of music that relaxes me. The staff selects the music that suits their personal tastes. I didn’t like it at all. It would have been bearable if there was some variety. But you are forced to listen to the one style of music every time. Other than those two negatives, which don’t really affect what the therapists do for you, I can highly recommend the therapists at Top Grade Physical Therapy. They know what they’re doing!

I’ll start off by saying every person is different, recovery wise, but this is my experience. I’ve struggled with sciatic and lower back pain for years. Back in November 2023 re-injured my back; which was probably the worst one to date and it couldn’t have come in a worst time. I could barely run or do a push up or sit up. I had a career/life changing physical fitness exam I needed to complete the following month. I was recommended Top Grade Physical therapist through a friend and against what I thought was going to be pointless, I went. Setting up the appointment was easy, the front staff were very kind and professional. I was met by the Physical Therapist Dr Rufino Gutierrez. From past therapy experiences, I thought it would be a quick hi and bye, and then passed along to the workout area. But Dr Rufino took his time to evaluate me, and made sure he was able to pinpoint what the problem areas were. He showed me physically where my weak areas were and described to me in simple terms the diagnosis and what we needed to do to get better. He personally guided me through several stretches, exercises, and ended it with a massage of the area. Each time I visited, I met with the Dr and his amazing PT’s, one of which was Valeria! She is super experienced, kind, and professional. Well, what I originally thought was going to be impossible, ended up being the complete opposite. Within several weeks I was able to run again and knock out the pushups and sit ups I needed. And come test day, I completely surpassed the test requirements with the best times and counts I’ve ever done. Thank you Dr Rufino, Val, and the rest of the staff at Top Grade Therapy.

Worked with them for about 5 months with some ligament issues that I had and got me back to full motion and strength of those ligaments and surrounds muscles. Experiencia fantástica: Top Grade Physical Therapy is a well maintained clean and organized. The staff really cares about the patients and their well-being. They are very knowledgeable and Taylor the secession to the patients' needs and capabilities. I was weeks from going into surgery on both of my shoulders because I was not capable of lifting them above my head and just after a few secessions i was able to lift both shoulders above my head and without PAIN and better range of movement. After the first goal was accomplished, I was then given the tools to improve on my already amazing accomplishment and start to build strength in both shoulders and now able to tasks that before were almost impossible to do and now able to work out on a regular basis. My experience has given me back so many things I was not able to prior to attending Top Grade. Experiencia fantástica: I am pleased to say that I am 8 months pain free following my discharge from Top Grade PT. Back in January of this year, I came to Dr. Gutierrez and Valeria with knee pain that never fully resolved following treatment at another PT clinic. However, Dr. Gutierrez and Valeria implemented their more hands-on approach to rehabilitate my knee, which I truly believe is a key difference that sets their therapy apart from other clinics. This allowed me to get back to the activities that I wasn’t able to perform without discomfort in my knee such as golfing and mountain biking. Experiencia fantástica: My almost thirty years of running and the fall-out that ensues has finally caught up with me. I was informed that I had a torn meniscus that slowed me down to a painful crawl. I went to an orthopedic doctor who provided a cortisone injection. While this had previously worked on my right knee, it did nothing for my left knee. My family doctor referred me to Top Grade Physical Therapy. For context, I had been to another therapy place in McAllen previously where there were twenty plus participants on average at any given time with an army of therapists each doing their own thing and perhaps not doing enough for me. I was constantly lost in the shuffle. I thought Top Grade Physical Therapy would provide a similar experience. BOY WAS I WRONG! This place literally lives up to its name. As soon as you walk in, the climate exudes professionalism and caring. From my very first session, I received a personalized plan that targeted my particular pain points. Dr. Rufino Gutierrez and Valeria Gutierrez, two very skilled professionals, along with Armando who provides valuable support and manages the appointment process and schedule, provided me with laser focused quality therapy at every point along the way. Because it is a small team, they are able to provide the one-on-one individualization and scheduling required for a successful outcome. Each session consisted of massaging the areas causing the pain as well as exercises to help with the physical development. These two outstanding skilled therapists really care. They provided the empathy and interest required for my success with onsite and at-home follow-up exercises. I was pain free in a few sessions. The team at Top Grade are heroes of therapeutic care. I have seen two separate therapists here since I have started, both are great. Knowledgeable and hands on and they seem to genuinely care. They applied a hands on methodology to alleviate nerve compression due to a cervical disk herniation. The chronic pain I experienced over the last 10 years seems to have magically disappeared after Dr Rufino conducted massage and manipulation therapy. I was beginning to consider getting surgery to repair the disk due to the number of failed PT sessions with other specialists but after visiting Dr Rufino we decided that surgery is no longer required! I had a car accident 5 years ago and throughout the years the pain got worse to the point were I had numbness and tingling all the way to my finger (I had already been to several physical therapist none really helped alleviate the pain). It was hard to grip things, workout, or even sleep well because I was in constant pain. With just my first session I was able to open and close my hand and not have pain in my forearm or shoulder. Suffering from sciatic pain had been seen by difrent doctors for pain they would only prescribe pain medication, or surgery. My moms condition was worsening she could not stand for short periods of time, when walking she would feel pain, when sitting up very painful, bending, lifting medecines were not helping her. We are thankful to God that when she started coming to Top Grade for her therapy treatments , she started feeling the diference. She has more mobility, she can stand and walk with less pain. Experiencia fantástica: My experience at Top Grade Physical Therapy with Dr Rufino Gutierrez was a very pleasant one. I was have issues with my sciatic nerve and he did some manipulation in the area and I felt instant relief. He also gave me a series of exercises for me to follow up with which I have done on a regular basis. I would recommend Dr Gutierrez to anyone because I have been to other Physical Therapists before but Dr Gutierrez seems to have a knack of getting to the root of the problem.

I have always had issues with my back and my solution was going to a chiropractor which only helped for a short period of time. I decided to change that and pay a visit with Dr. Gutierrez and I’ve had the best experience.
