Experiencia fantástica: Best experience that I have ever had in a position of care The Staff was top notch and not only attended to your needs but surpassed them. Therapy was very engaging and I really felt as though the staff were really rooting for me to get better. I left the hospital feeling confident that I had all the tools to continue my care on an outpatient basis. I am forever grateful to this facility and it's staff.

Experiencia negativa: Very unprofessional this time . Case manager was not helpful at all. Discharged my mom with an iv that was put in via sonogram. Just not anything good to say about encompass this time .we did have a few very amazing nurses on her watch .

Experiencia fantástica: This hospital is simply amazing. My husband was here and all of the Nurses, Aides, Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy people are truly compassionate and caring. The facility itself is so nice, clean and sanitary. Housekeeping does an excellent job. I wish all facilities were this good. 10 plus stars for Encompass for their caring. Now... I'm trying to get my husband back here for some additional Rehabilitation after his stay at Ashton Medical Lodge. Hopefully we hear from them soon.

Experiencia fantástica: I have no idea where the previous Woman's head is at. My 84 year old father was in Heath South about 7 years ago after a broken hip. The care was excellent. The rehab is second to none and the people are very caring and kind. Food gets an A+ in my book. Unfortunately, my Mom recently fell and had a fracture in her pelvis. She went to Heath South and I had no qualms about her going there. She improved almost immediately with excellent rehab. She ate the food and declared it very good. We offered to bring her other food and she refused. When she first arrived, the administrator came in and met the family. The next day, I met her doctor and he was so approachable. She needed a muscle relaxant for spasms and he jumped right on it. This is not a spa or country club, is is a rehab facility and they work you hard but trust me, your loved one will get stronger, better, and love the excellent faculty.

Experiencia positiva: My mom is there at this time. Care is amazing. Food she can do better but is eating it. They told her 3 hours of rehab a day. It is turning into 5 or more because their goal is to return back to self sufficient. Thank you HealthSouth

Experiencia positiva: I will say my experience with the facility is as a visitor when my loved one was being cared for. The nursing staff were phenomenal. A couple of folks who I’d like to call out are Laura and Alex who took great care to answer our confusion with things. We had come in town from DFW to visit and had been left a bit out of the loop. These folks helped us a great deal and specifically Alex took great care of our family member. He went out of his way to make him feel as good as possible. However, my complaint is with the inconsistent admittance policies at the front desk. My boyfriend and I came in on Christmas Eve and there wasn’t anyone at the desk when we signed in. The other staff members hadn’t made any comments about the two of us being in a semi-private room to visit. Christmas Day, there were three of us and we were advised it was only 2 could go back. We understood that, and agreed to it. We were able to meet in the activity room with the patient and visit together. Again, being from 350 miles away we appreciated the opportunity to visit our loved one together on the holiday. Today, the day after Christmas, we stopped by for our last visit before leaving town and it’s a completely different story. Now we are being told it’s only 1 visitor at a time. The older woman at the front desk has been extremely rude and condescending, telling us it’s always been only 1 visitor at a time and telling us it’s because no one was at the desk when we came through. That is not the case at all and I don’t appreciate a rude person treating me as if I don’t know what I’m talking about. She advised me if I have an issue I should consult the CEO of Encompass. So that has motivated me to post this review. I understand policies but they did change from one day to the next with no warning or explanation. Maybe the rules were a bit lax because of the holiday but I noticed another review from 7 months ago also mentioned 2 visitors. I hope that this review does get the attention of someone who can get all the policies to be consistent and hold the face of the organization to not be rude and demeaning to visitors. Based on my experience I would second guess placing any of my loved ones in the care of Encompass, especially if visitors who are also key in the patient recovery process.

Experiencia fantástica: Had a great experience here. I had great therapists Terrell & Angelica, all the therapists at the facility seemed to work hard to help their patients get better. I improved a lot overall, with my strength and range of motion. Everyone at the facility was very upbeat, and seemed to care. Received daily visits with the doctors to speak about progress and how things are going. Nurses & nurse techs were consistently checking to make sure I needed anything, check vitals, & pain levels so that everything was going well. Was able to have as many visitors as I wanted a day as well. I would say it is exactly what you would want in a facility.

Experiencia fantástica: A year ago today I was admitted to Encompass. I came here not walking, hardly being able to talk, or move my hands. I had also just lost my mom 2 days prior. (Was not able to attend her service or funeral) i was treated with such kindness and now I a better thanks to the care everyone there have me. Experiencia fantástica: My father in law had a stay here at Encompass, and we personally feel the medical staff does a tremendous job. The nursing staff is very attentive and caring. As are physical therapy, speech therapy, and the occupational therapy staff members. They are all skilled and compassionate, and we had no issues with his care at Encompass. In fact, we have nothing but great things to say about the medical staff here at Encompass. Sadly, the medical staff are not the only folks that you will need the help of while at Encompass. I’d encourage Encompass to consider recording interactions between staff and “customers”, the patient’s family members. They should consider adding a disclaimer stating, “This call may be recorded for quality assurance”. The rudeness of one staff member, a case worker, shouldn’t affect the rating of the facility as a whole, and I didn’t, or doesn’t, affect our view of Encompass . With that said, disrespect, rudeness, bullying, and being condescending towards those needing your assistance is unacceptable and should not be tolerated. We don’t care to talk about the issue any further, but education concerning customer service, and repercussions for poor behavior by staff members may be beneficial to your business.

Experiencia positiva: My brother is currently there for rehab and the staff is professional and personable. The 3 stars are because of the 2 visitors a day. Just like medicine heals the body, so does having loved ones there to love on you and support you. Our family is close and supportive. If a survey was conducted I’m sure this is one reason patient satisfaction scores are not as high as they could be. Just a suggestion.

Experiencia fantástica: After my wife’s stay I cannot say enough every one would talk to my wife from the front desk talking to my wife and even give her magazines to read. All the way to the cleaning people taking time to talk to her it was like speech therapy all day. From what I saw they treated all the patents like that Pt and Ot were amazing . Was told by other places not to expect wife to walk anytime soon. The encompass staff had wife’s leg moving in days and up and walking in weeks. They took the time to explain what they were doing and exercises for us todo after we got home upon our exit so many of the staff came up and said there goodbyes and encouraged wife to not stop working, I would highly recommend encompass to anyone that needs rehab from a stroke.

Experiencia fantástica: My mother fell and broke her hip in April, and had some fairly intense therapy at Stanton County Hospital (they were wonderful!) and then was transferred to receive more therapy at Manor Park Skilled Nursing (not so great). She moved into Assisted Living at Manor Park for about 3 weeks, but continued to decline there. We decided to move her to Encompass Rehab where she received 2 weeks of therapy, and I am so glad we made this choice! The communication was great (thanks Jason!), and she just seemed to be in a much better place overall than she was at Manor Park. When we went to pick her up, they had her doing the stairs and walking 150 feet with her walker, where before she was at 25 steps max and falling constantly. When we picked her up from Encompass, she told the staff "Thank you for taking a chance on me".

Experiencia fantástica: My father just completed a 10 day stay at Encompass. Because he is a very large and tall man he was able to have a bariatric room which really aided to his comfort. His therapists and nurses were extremely kind and patient with him. He was very comfortable with his stay and I was very comfortable with him being there. I think the fact that he was able to receive medical care at the same time as his rehabilitation was fantastic. The only complaint I have (and it isn’t even a big issue) is one particular front desk staff member always seemed either extremely disinterested in helping or confused in helping. I could never decide which one. Any question asked was usually just met with a blank stare. Since this is the first point of contact every time I walked in the building it could be frustrating. With that said I still believe my father received fantastic care and should he ever have a decline in his health again we hope to be able to come back. Thank you!

Experiencia fantástica: Very professional staff. The RN's, doctors, techs, Speech Therapist, Occupational Therapist and Physical Therapist and their assistants were all very good. There are so many good people it is hard to name them all.

Experiencia fantástica: My husband was just in Healthsouth and this was our second time to be there we would like to give a shout out to the wonderful staff and all of the care they gave him during our stay. I would like to address the remodeling. If anyone has ever been through remodeling they know that it is very inconvenient for everyone and in this case most especially the contractors that are having to do it yet we never found a soul to be rude or uncaring from both the staff and the contractors that where doing the work especially towards the patients. We had amazing staff from our doctor, case manager, PT/OT, chef and staff, nurses, nurses assistant and the cleaning people where all kind very professional and at times went above and beyond trying to take care of the patient. I feel we are very blessed to have Healthsouth rehab close and all the community's benefit from it being there. I'm sorry that some can't see the bigger picture when this remodeling is over it's going to be great and even better for everyone. It is always hard to be away from home but y'all made it less stressful and a very pleasant time thank u each and everyone. We can't speak for everyone but thank you to each and every staff member of the Healthsouth staff from the bottom of our hearts we thank u. The Orson's / Robert and Loretta
