Experiencia fantástica: Wonderful experience. My husband has been here 5 weeks and he has thrived. NHC Murfreesbofo has been a God send.

Experiencia fantástica: I was very pleased with the care I received at NH C Murfreesboro. The Techs and Aides were friendly and knew their jobs. They do need more staff, but staff always put the patients first. I would recommend this facility to anyone who has a family member that needs short term rehab. I also want to thank the PT & OT for their encouragement .

Experiencia fantástica: My husband is currently recovering from quad surgery at NHC. I've never seen a cleaner facility and more caring people in any nursing home environment. From the director, admissions and down, everyone is professional, caring and very concerned about having a plan of care to get my husband home and able to do the things we need accomplished. No detail was left unaddressed. Superior to anything I've seen in Murfreesboro over the last 20 years, including Adams Place. This is a diamond in the rough! I encourage anyone looking for a facility to take a tour and don't let the outside fool you. Most pictures on the sites for facilities aren't at all what they actually look like. Many I've seen were so dirty, one we had no choice but to recently closed. How NHC only has a 3 rating is beyond me. It should have a 10!

Experiencia negativa: Wow where do I start? My Mom was at NHC from April 2022 until most recently. While I did meet some really nice nurses there...I encountered many interesting issues with how the administration handled my Mom's case...right down to the end where they kicked her out without giving even a week's notice (and NO written notice which they are supposed to give). It went from one day them saying they wanted to find her somewhere safer for her (they said it was because they wanted to find her a locked memory care facility) to just a couple days later...them saying they MUST move her. Gary (who seems nice on the surface, but I wouldn't trust) said that his administrator was "making them" move her out. He also shared that if she was in a bed or a wheelchair they could keep her, but since she could walk...that they could no longer handle her. They ended up transporting her one evening and didn't even tell me they were going to do it! Last I heard from them, they would be moving her the following day, but they moved her THAT NIGHT and I hadn't even been to the new place or signed any paperwork. I didn't get a chance to check on the new facility or do any research. Then, luckily everyone at the new facility was very nice...but I found out that NHC had COMPLETELY misrepresented her needs and the kind of care she required to the new facility...just to get them to take her. It was completely dishonest on their part. Not to mention, when she came to NHC I was encouraged to change her insurance to THEIR HMO plan, and then when they kicked her out...they didn't let me know that would mean her insurance would no longer apply anywhere new they sent her. We attempted to get her placed in another NHC facility - and they all rejected her...yet they are the only company who takes said insurance. It has been a debaucle to say the least! Now, since NHC misrepresented her case (basically lied to the new facility) she will have to be placed YET AGAIN her somewhere else once (because the new facility isn't equipped to handle dementia patients at all (whereas at least NHC had an ankle bracelet and could keep her safer) so their whole "reason" for having her moved was completely bogus...as they said it was because they were trying to find her a "locked dementia facility" for her "safety" but she was "safer" where she was. NHC is a big, corporate entity that thinks they can get around all the CORRECT processes because no one will touch them. I have filed a complaint with the state. They were appalled when I told them the story. I do not recommend sending your loved ones there; which is unfortunate because I have encountered some very nice nurses there. I would recommend looking into small town facilities where they have good staff tenure and kind hearted people. Also, I complained numerous times about my Mom never getting bathed, and the fact that all her clothes would come up missing (all the time, like every time I brought her clothes I would have to try and track them down...and still never found them. Their only explanation was that she must be throwing them away, which may have been partially true, but bags and bags of clothing just missing?) And...not to mention...She fell numerous times while in their care, once breaking her wrist and having to have surgery, only to fall again on the hand that had just been operated on. Come to find out she was overly medicated.

Experiencia positiva: Everyone there is nice. I think they need more help. I see the same techs/aides/nurses working all of the time and they look tired. Sometimes I see new people, however, it's people from other wings they are moving around to cover a shift. Sometimes I worry there are not enough workers for the ratio of patients, that's why I go everyday to see my mother.

Experiencia negativa: I don't like Nurse staff and CNA staff because didn't like how they treated their patients

Experiencia negativa: Food is horrible, but most important is that the accounting dept. is both unethical and inept.

Experiencia fantástica: We had a family member who needed the services of NHC, and we were impressed by their professionalism and communication. Though COVID-19 has affected the ability to visit and gather like we used to do, we are kept up to date with significant changes that occur and are given opportunities to keep in touch in other ways, like FaceTime, phone calls, and window visits. The staff also call us for care plan meetings and to notify us of changes, and we are comforted to know so many caring staff are involved in the care. We are grateful to NHC for caring for our loved one when we have been unable to do it ourselves. Thank you!

Experiencia positiva: Really enjoyed working for the kitchen! Manager works hard and helps his team whenever needed and helps other departments. It was fun to learn different foods to cook and not be so limited with seasoning like I would be at a hospital. If your food is cold, it's definitely not the kitchens fault because we are super efficient during trayline, keep the food hot, and bring the racks to the floors as soon as they are completed. We definitely will bend over backwards to make sure you receive your special food requests as long as we are made aware. The only thing is there needs to be proper staffing so people do not get burned out and lose their passion. I know that most of the time, staff in departments do the best that they can and can only do so much when there's so few people to help them.

Experiencia negativa: They neglect my grandma who passed away in may and they refused to give my money back for Christmas tree I bought they miss items of my Christmas tree they are lazy bums when the family is not there if love you loved ones don’t send them there I would not recommend this place at all they don’t give damn about there job

Experiencia fantástica: NHCis very nice place to stay. I don't know about the nurseing home. I stayed in the Rehab part. The food was cold or wrong order. I say yes but think very hard about this. Weight all the prod and conds.

Experiencia negativa: My mother was sent here for long term care. They knew she had bedsores but did not turn her properly or keep her bandages clean and she’s back in the hospital now with Sepsis. I am extremely disappointed with her care and am considering legal council

Experiencia positiva: The administration struggles to run a tight ship; the corporate office is adjacent to the health care facility and neglect is the norm. Pleasant setting in rehab and community areas, plenty of recreational rooms, lounges, physical therapy onsite, no smoking allowed indoors, brown wood floors in the rooms (bad idea), decent furnishings, ample space, no lingering body or body waste odors in the hallways. CNA and nursing care staff run the gamut from poorly trained and no customer service to experienced and conscientious. A couple of the nurses are awesome though. Expect some oversight due to inadequate staffing. If it makes you feel any better, private care facilities are just as challenging. If you think you can drop off your loved one and expect to trust a facility to take care of them 24/7, your expectations are too high.

Experiencia fantástica: My grandmother has lived here for over 5 years. She is now 102 years old. She has never had a pressure ulcer. We would recommend NHC Murfreesboro to everyone.

Experiencia fantástica: I was a patient there in 2013, and they were awesome to me!!! I had to learn to walk again, i did, , my goal was to be out by my birthday which i was!! They took wonderful care of me, and kept my family informed of my progress, they were even part of it if they wanted to be.

Experiencia negativa: Poor quality care in my opinion. They are very bad at getting meds to patients on time which leaves them suffering. PT was a joke. Bathrooms in double rooms are very narrow with an separate room for the shower that was unusable and being used for broken wheel chairs and full of dirty towels. Light did not work. The hall smelled of urine. I have pics of the bathroom.

Experiencia fantástica: You know that nauseating feeling you get when you think about "hospital" food, surprisingly the food here was AMAZING, well seasoned and flavorful, not at all what I expected! Great food, friendly staff, Lynn the administrator is very attentive to needs and quick to fix even the slightest unpleasantries that occur, an all around A+ from my stomach and my heart!!!

Experiencia fantástica: This place could be more than five stars!!!the staff is thoroughly knowledgeable and very insightful!!....the food is great ,the recreation department is super fun and funny!..(they shot paint out of this water gun onto canvas and it was the funniest experience!!!!)....and the administration wow! they are very helpful and respond in a timely manner and that to me is worth it more than anything!!..I could honestly say this is definitely a place to entrust to loved ones!!

Experiencia negativa: They don't care for you at the all. As long as they get there job done half way right, they are gone. I would hate to have my dog stay here. They don't give you your medication that you've been on for years when you leave. You got to do without until you can get in to see your pcp. The nurse practitioer is hateful, rude, won't listen to you. Very unprofessional. They don't deserve the star I gave them. Won't give your meds on time. They don't deserve this nice letter I left.

Experiencia negativa: Staffing is horrible. Nurse managers are over worked. N.p. refused to see patients because of personal schedule. The administration relies heavily on patriarchal influence to keep the facility open.

Experiencia negativa: Horrible place to have a family member always under staffed across the board not to mention under trained 24 hour care is more like you're mother will see someone maybe an hour a day because staff is so short mold everywhere building is full of leaks Rats everywhere took my mother away from that hell hole the place is trash all the way up to the lady that claims to run the place Lynn Foster

Experiencia negativa: Incompetent employees, severely understaffed, breakdown of communication happens daily, safety issues (beds, wheelchairs, electrical outlets, cords), Activities of Daily Living not met most days, poor hygiene care given - if at all, increased fall risk due to lack of proper alarms and safety equipment. IF you must put your loved one in this facility, please make daily drop ins. Your loved one will need you to be their advocate to make sure they receive proper care.

Experiencia negativa: That place is the worst I've ever seen. My Mother and aunt worked at a nursing home when I was a kid and my ex fiance did when I was a teenager and I have never seen the kind of disrespectful hateful downright rude behavior I witnessed at this place. If you love your family member or friends please don't even drive by this place. Just horrible!!! All I can say good about the place is that the people doing the actual rehab seem friendly and knowledgeable but the rest are evil!

The incompetence the staff has is beyond words, they gave Mom a nausea pill that was for someone on chemo, she was discharged WITHOUT the her medicine . If you care about you family member DO NOT take them any N.H.C .

Experiencia negativa: Awful experience. My mom went in after a fall. She stayed 5 hrs & I went & brought her home. The CNAs were more interested in who was sleeping w who & Facebook than the patients. Food was canned Armour Beef Stew & never got her meds. To top it all off their NP changed my mom's meds w out consent which cause a severe anxiety attack. Do not take ur family members here. Negligence is rampant.

Experiencia fantástica: My mother has been in their care for several months and I am extremely pleased with their compassion regarding her. I trust them implicitly and any decisions in which they recommend regarding my mother. She has been a special case and their patience regarding her has been amazing. She has a wonderful group of nurses and her case worker is an extremely compassionate person and it is obvious that he cares about his patients. They have always - no matter how hard the answer might be - answered with questions with honesty and integrity. I cannot recommend this facility enough when it comes to placing your elderly loved one in intermediate care.
