Experiencia fantástica: Krysia was the first and only specialist that was able to identify and treat my neck injury as opposed to other doctors, neurologists, and physical therapists seen before. She is calm, professional, and adamant in explaining what she is doing and why to correct my injury. She also noticed the severity, and took the extra time to get a jump start at what I expected to be a long process. Before her, I was told it could take over and year of therapy before surgery, but she was able to correct within 4 months! I recommend her (and her team) to everyone - worth the wait for an appointment.

Experiencia fantástica: I was a regular runner getting around 100 miles a month. After an extended layoff from running I had severe pain in my lower legs. I could max out at about 2.5 miles and if I ran any distance I could not run for almost a week. I tried rest, getting advice from a running store on shoes, and other suggestions from the internet, nothing worked. After about 6 months of trying I talked to Krysia and she very clearly explained what the issue was and what was causing it. She gave me a few exercises to do and suggestion to change the heel drop in my shoe and explained why. In a matter of weeks I was running better. I recently ran 5k three times in a week for the first time in over a year and a half. Krysia was excellent, knowledgeable, and caring. I'm so happy that I went to her!

Experiencia fantástica: Going to Integrative Manual Therapy and Wellness is the best health move I have made in decades. I have always done things fast and risky, and although I am good at falling, there was a day when I couldn’t get up. (And not like, “I’ve fallen and I can’t get up” - while body surfing, I almost broke my neck.) Combine that with skiing, snowboarding, running, doing my own housework, wallpaper removal, spackling, painting all the rooms in two houses and apartments, landscaping (including tree climbing and pruning), and a knack for walking where a dip suddenly comes up and knocks me out of joint. Not to mention back in the day, doing the Twist and using a Hula Hoop, both badly. Finish it off with the classic getting out of the car the wrong way. Or “sleeping wrong.” Nothing but sitting around to regain strength from illness, a lucky but brief encounter with a Navy Doctor of osteopathy, , leftover narcotics from surgery, or the 800mg of ibuprofen ever dulled my pain. (Oh, and one time after Yoga at the “Y,” I had a good day.) Two shoulder repairs, one spinal fusion, 70 plus years of age, and scores of falls and missteps from all the above have left me with recovered range of motion, recovery from a brief paralysis, and excellent physical therapy practices. On the other hand, there are age-related bone spurs, osteopenia, spinal stenosis, the spasms from the cervical fusion, tightness from jiggering what was left around my rotator cuff to repair, constant lower back pain, neck tension, and the near inability to take a really deep breath. After hundreds of chiropractor visits, six shots for lumbar pain, exercises, and more, my neighbor told me about the wonderful magic of Krysia Witkowski, osteopath and head healer at Integrative Manual Therapy. She and her staff, as the name suggests, integrate the alignment of “every bone in your body”, (and muscles, ligaments, tendons, and nerves) with the science of the body’s reactions to slow, painstaking, gentle, expert pressure, and repositioning. I may not have the right medical terms, but since I first visited Integrative Therapy, I have had days after rigorous shoveling, lifting loads, and strained movements when my back kills me. I know now to stretch and ease my body or move in ways I learned through the genius of Catherine, who does what I would describe as fixing one’s pains through tightening or relaxing the right body parts in the right poses. Krysia and Catherine practice their own specialties, tender examination and manipulation, and follow-up postural work, respectively. They have soothed me and taught me how to continue the correcting behavior I need, so I can feel better despite the abuse of time and being human.

I can honestly say that this team is the best, hands down. 100/10 recommend. Krysia has so much training and experience, she is able to recognize other variables that can lead to the pain you’re experiencing. She’s more like a detective than anything. She was able to identify the true root cause of my pain, where no other doctors could. She is absolutely more intelligent and experienced than any of the physicians and surgeons that I have had before. Catherine has taken the exercise portion of PT to a completely different take that I’ve been used to getting from the military. She takes everything from Krysia’s analysis and develops a movement plan that helps develop strength and balance. I immediately recognized a difference, and found myself making these posture corrections instinctively now. I am so sorry I waited this long. One of the issues I have been dealing with for over 2 years is severe pain in my tail bone. I broke it and never sought care figuring there was nothing that could be done. My first session with Krysia and the pain was gone!! I had an unresolved pain in my hip area that began during my 2nd pregnancy and lasted 8 years and 3 pregnancies later, when I finally got a treatment plan that worked, from Integrative Manual Therapy & Wellness. I think I was seen by every Physical Therapist and Assistant, and can’t say enough about each one of them. I went to a chain physical therapy place and was so disappointed with the care I received BUT this place has given me a new perspective on physical therapy! They really focus on fixing your issue by not only working on your problem area but fixing all parts of your body related to your problem area. Experiencia fantástica: Over the years I’ve seen many physical therapists for various injuries; none compare to the wonderful service at Integrative Manual Therapy. Their approach to treating patients is unlike anything I’ve experienced. Most clinics prescribe some stretches and exercises and call it a day. Each one of the physical therapist I’ve seen have dedicated a full hour of 1 on 1 manual therapy. After almost a decade of back pain, countless trips to the doctor, Therapy, and chiropractic work, integrative realized I have scoliosis, and now we are working on improving my back and overall function. I would recommend Integrative Manual Therapy to anyone searching in the hampton roads area.

Experiencia fantástica: These people are awesome! I have had issues with neck, spine, hip and pelvis as I trained , rode and showed horses over fences for over 40 years. I have had physical therapy before at the big box places as well as chiropractic therapy for years. All of this would make my life "livable", but didn't really "fix" the problems. The Physical therapist and the re-education exercises have "fixed" my neck. It has been over 3 years without any issues! The spine has also stayed where it is supposed to be! The hip and pelvis are an ongoing issues. When I leave a series of visits, they are moving well. It was a year since my last visits for the hip/pelvis. These therapist have helped me when no one else did!!

Experiencia fantástica: I did physical therapy with them for more than 6 mos, prior to getting pregnant up to 2nd trimester of my pregnancy, due to sciatica. Maureen and the physical therapists I worked with are all awesome. Making and cancelling appointments were easy. It took me a year to post a review because now I can feel the difference with my body from last year. Prior to going there, I had low back pain and leg numbing most of the time, to the point where I can barely walk properly. Now, taking care of my baby, I just noticed the big difference. I’m not in pain at all thanks to these wonderful people.
