Norman Regional Inpatient Rehabilitation

Experiencia fantástica: Fantastic nursing staff + physical and occupational therapists on the 3rd floor rehabilitation wing. They took great care of my mother for a week. Very grateful and appreciative for the kind staff. Special shout out to Karen, Gracie (Nurses) and Melissa (OT)

Experiencia fantástica: I had a bad leg injury and had to be at NRHS for 8 days. From the ER, to surgery, to Healthplex campus, then Porter campus for rehab I received the best care! The nurses, techs, PT, OT, ST, case worker, Housekeeping, cafeteria (never forget how valuable their role is too!), nurses station and the doctors were wonderful and did a great job at tending to my needs, meds, restrictions etc. They were very thoughtful and accommodating to me the whole time. Here are just a few names from the Porter campus. I know it's not all of them and I don't have the names from the ER and HlthPlx. It was more of a blur from that time. But thank you to Becca, Fonda, Keara, Rob, Amanda, Noel, Ethan, Kayla, Mellisa, Sarah, Riza, Erica, Gracie, Dr. Zakary Knutson, Dr. Tindle, Dr. Swieki, Robert-SS, Susan, Almeida, Allison, Alison and Cara. Thank you to those whose names I didn't get but you know who you are. Thank you NRHS for hiring great people that do a great job of taking care of the patient! This isn't our first time having a surgery and a stay here either. My husband had hip replacement surgery Jan of 2022 and he had a hospital stay @ Hlthplx/ortho spine floor. I highly recommend Norman Regional hospital.

Experiencia fantástica: My stay at Norman Regional rehab was an excellent experience. Everyone was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful! Highly recommended.

Experiencia fantástica: There are no words to describe the experience here. No matter what I say, it won't be enough. Being a patient here, I feel like I'm the only patient in the hospital and that my care and well-being is all that matters. I feel like I am a partner in my healing as my doctors and nurses listen to my feedback and incorporate that feedback into my healing plan, if reasonable. The whole experience here has been comparable to the level of service and attention you would receive at Disney world. It's fantastic! I think my favorite so far is Dr Shahsavari. I had a setback when I first came to Norman rehab with my leg bleeding. I had to be sent back to OU medical. I was so upset, I begged not to go back. I remember being frightened, sad, extremely anxious. I was on the phone with my mother panicking. Doctor Shahsavari saw me in this state. He directly told me to hang up with my mother. At the time I thought that was a bit rude. But after I hung up, he explained to me what was happening, he even got me to smile. I went from a state of panic to calm. He wasn't being rude at all but he KNEW being on the phone with my mother was only increasing my state of panic. In the end, going back to OU medical was the correct decision and now I am back here, recovering and I Love being here, I love the staff, and I trust Dr Shahsavari with my life. The rooms are so nice, plenty of space, the food, to me, is just simply amazing. I love it lol. But that may be because I spent so long eating the terrible OU medical menu. Thank you to all of the staff at Norman inpatient rehab! I don't know what I would do without you. Much love! I wish I knew better words to describe this whole experience as I don't believe I've scratched the surface on the level of amazing I've experienced.
