Experiencia fantástica: My grandma fell and broke her hip. She had surgery at Norman Regional and said she needed to go to a skilled nursing facility. They gave me a list of places I walked into Medical Park West not knowing what to expect. I toured the facility with the admissions lady that was very sweet and knowledgeable. The facility is clean with no smells. And I loved the huge private rooms. The therapy gym was really nice also. I really appreciate the care that my grandma received there and she really enjoyed the nurses and therapist that worked with her. I had great communication with staff regarding my grandmother. If you need a Rehab facility this is THE place

I truly appreciate the overwhelming support and knowledge given by Alexis from beginning to end. The rooms were big, comfy, and well kept. The daily staff not only made the stay comfortable but I noticed their dedication to keeping it clean as well which I could have given an extra star for on its own.

Experiencia fantástica: I know looking for a long-term nursing facility for a loved one is one of the hardest decisions a person will make especially after you read all of the negative and sometimes disturbing reviews on some facilities. I read all of the reviews on many nursing facilities before deciding to move my dear Daddy to Medical Park West (MPW) in Norman, OK. I’m glad I chose this facility because I found that they were not like what I had read in reviews. There were and are many outstanding and compassionate caregivers and nurses at MPW. The facility was clean and the food good. Sadly, my dad passed away recently. I want to thank the staff in the rehab area for caring for my dad, especially La Reta Gehrer, Monica Brown and Alyia Brown. Thank you to the physical therapists who gave life changing therapy for my dad and the barber, Steve who made him look very nice. Thank you to these caregivers/nurses on the long-term care area who went above and beyond for my dad Oyelade Boluwaji (Blue), Brian Harvey, Sarah Crump, Renee Lottie-Baker, and Heather Holmes. Thank you to the kitchen staff, especially Sherry for cooking Daddy’s favorite foods. I also want to express my deepest gratitude to Rebecca Maddy, Serena Robinson, and Antoine Smith for responding quickly to my calls and meeting all of my requests with outstanding professionalism and very kind hearts. And finally, thank you Mike for being a great roommate and friend to my dad, we are grateful for you. I know I have left out some names that I can’t remember, please forgive me. I really wanted to give five stars because the new administrator makes himself very available and solves problems when I ask, and many of the staff here are really good. However we've continued to have problems, including an order for a medication that's necessary at meals just not being provided. After her waiting 45 minutes for a call light to be answered and me calling twice and the phone not being answered I went up there and found out that the medication had just disappeared from her med orders so she just had to eat her breakfast without it. I'll leave my original review below because I do think there are good things about this place and it might be good for someone needing post hospitalization rehab who is not elderly and unable to get up and walk around themselves. --------- Original review. My mom has had several recent health problems and hospitalizations which have required admissions to skilled nursing/rehab. She has some food allergies and also requires a certain medication at every meal so has some needs that can be challenging. A different skilled nursing facility she was at before Medical Park West (that billed it self as "luxury") had problems with these and it took weeks to get things straightened out. In contrast, when we were having some of these same issues at Medical Park West, the new administrator, Antoine, dealt with them immediately. Antoine told me he started about 1.5 months ago and he has let us know on multiple occasions that we should inform him if there are any issues because he is there to solve any problems we may have. I am so impressed that he puts his name and cell phone number on the front page of the website. He also visits the patients in their rooms to introduce himself and see if they need anything. I am giving 5 stars, not because there haven't been any problems, but because when there are problems, Antoine has responded to me and addressed the problems immediately, even on weekends. If you have a loved one here who can't advocate for themselves, I would suggest that you monitor and visit them and ask questions about their care, medications, and food because, in my experience, most skilled nursing places have challenges with staffing and care. However, once I've identified problems, it is so easy and stress free to text or call Antoine to get them addressed which has not been my experience elsewhere. The quality of the therapy (Physical, Occupational, and Speech) and medical team (doctor and nurse practitioner) are great. The nursing staff has been responsive to my questions and it's clear that they meet regularly and are aware of issues with my mother (in contrast with the other place where I often had to repeat the same issues with each shift change). The activities director is very sweet and provides a calendar of activities to each patient. Patient techs are kind and seem well trained. We've experienced some staffing shortage days where call lights weren't answered in a reasonable amount of time but again, Antoine responded to my texts immediately and has worked with the team to resolve the issue. Finally, it is a very nice facility, probably the nicest of the three my mom has been to in the last few years. The skilled nursing/rehab patients have large private rooms. There are also rooms where patients can go to talk to others, a nice dining area, decent food, and a large outdoor courtyard.

Her care and treatment was excellent, many scores above and beyond the care she had received at Valir and Jim Thorpe. Currently my dad is in your facility and his care has also been second to none . Experiencia fantástica: My sister was recently admitted to your Skilled Nursing Facility. She arrived at 8 pm on a Monday and was greeted by a Nurse Edward and and tech , Sam, who immediately made us both feel they would be there to meet her care needs. She was placed on a hall that had very few patients and the response time to her call light were slow. The next morning, we were greeted by Antoine, the administrator, a care ambassador and maintenance who were there to fix the problems. Antoine and Bryan and Kim moved her to another hall where the staff could more quickly respond to her needs. I , myself, am an RN and have been super impressed with her care from day one. The nurses, aides, med aides , PT, OT, dietary, housekeeping, social services, have been so professional as well as kind! Thank you all so much for caring for my sis as much as I do!

Experiencia fantástica: The current team in place is working to make each client's/family's experience to be an especially personalized, positive, and connected one. From the moment that we received a call from Ty in Med Park West's (MPW) referral department, I felt hopeful. He was kind, timely, and happily responsive when I called him back a few days later to confirm we wanted to admit my mother for physical therapy services. Ty was quick to coordinate and confirm that they could accept my mother within the next few hours. I also received a few calls from Adelle, another of MPW's caregivers, as she was assisting Ty to coordinate my mother's admission. She was very kind, patient, and sympathetic to our familial situation, and was quick to reach out the other day after my mom had a fall. My mother has also verbalized that she really appreciates the Administrator Antoine coming in to personally check on her a handful of times. She feels heard and validated with any questions or concerns she might have.

Experiencia fantástica: Choose Medical Park West because of the looks of the new building. My brother lasted 9 days and died . He was terribly neglected, never anyone in the room when I often visited and had to hire someone to check on him. He was found in his own waste Everytime I went there and needed to be suctioned but couldn't find anyone so thank God the one I hired would show up and suction him. I had her show me how as I knew being placed at almost the end of the hall, and with his stroke could only open his eyes and not move anything, they had a nurses button there as if he could use it. Horrible place!!! He was neglected. Regret that place. Never put your love one there. Now I understand why a man who was wanting to just be laid down in bed that was in front room was upset. He was totally ignored. Just like my brother. I was going to get him out but they let ,through neglect let him all but die there. Ambulance got him and died within few hours. Horrible place. Death trap. Please don't take your worse enemy there. Only gave it 5 stars so I could write the review. One star wouldn't let you write anything.

All the staff nurses house keeping people who did her laundry maintenance people were all super nice to my sister. And she loved everyone over. They also worked as dining staff and paided close attention to the people in the dinning room and tended to there every need. They staff were professional, kind, awsome. When ever I needed something they were there to assist me. The dinning room staff were awesome, the food was good and if you didn't like what was on the menu. They gave you a choice of somthing else. The therapy staff were very professional, kind and helped me keep up my therapy core strength. That is why I gave them 5 stars.
