Experiencia negativa: Severly understaffed. My grandmother complained about no one coming when she hit her help button, as well as lack of needed medical services. The biggest issue? Had no idea where my grandmother was! Thank God she has a phone and we were able to call her to get her room number!! Despite seeing every nurse we passed hard at work, some of the rooms still smelled like urine. GET MORE STAFF!! this would easily fix the issue. Had to repeat patients name to the front desk lady 4x and she still couldn't get her name right and find her.

Experiencia fantástica: First nursing home I have work at that patients don’t want to leave; They call it their home. Great smell, clean and welcoming. Caring and loving staff that knows their patient.

Experiencia fantástica: Norwalk skilled and wellness center is a very good place to be they never Sit Down and I think Alot of the nurses are great I had to stay there after my kidney stones passed for 2weeks and Sarah and everyone made sure I got to share a room with my daughter who is there Temporarily

Experiencia negativa: I had a very traumatic experience with this place. where, thanks to the lack of communication between them and offering services that they do not provide my mother died without the palliative care that they promised me, in the emergency room of a hospital dying for hours. After that they offered me help with whatever I needed because they know very well what they did and when I told them that I wanted a blanket that I had made for my mother with photos of our family. They promised to find it and give her back to me and until now 8 days after my mother died no one has had the empathy to call me to come get it, they haven't even been able to do that. I loved and will always love my mother very much and I ask God to have mercy on their hearts for the pain the caused to my family and most importantly my mom.

Experiencia fantástica: I went there after surgery!!, and it was Delightful!!!., Everyone was so kind and helpful. It was(GREAT)!!!.

Experiencia fantástica: Norwalk Skilled Nursing Facility staff are like family. Employees care for your loved ones. They do the little things that mean so much. For an example, the night my cousin was admitted, Chavon was so kind, she welcomed my cousin and even braided her hair. Martel, Sari and Samantha are very knowledegable with insurance company policy and procedures. They schedule dr. appointments and transportation. Dina in transportation, took my cousin and her partner to the dr. and patiently waited for them. CNA’s and nurses provide excellent care. Matilda, wound management, gently bandaged my cousins legs. The staff get the patients out of bed as able. They bring them to the activity room to socialize and join in the many fun activities. Patients are not ignored or bored. They make friends, participate in fun activities and are cared for by kind professionals. An effort is made to pair patients in a room with those that have similar interests, share the same language and are of similar age. Physical Therapy is amazing! They evaluate & develop a physical therapy plan. My cousin loved the computer game that helped her with balance. She could only walk 2 steps when she came to the facility. With a lot of motivation and hard work, she was able to walk 3 sets of 15 feet! Therapists talked to her, noted improvements, revised the program as she progressed and helped keep her on track. It was reassuring to know that when we were not with her she was being taken care of by a staff that cared about her and treated her with respect and kindness.

Experiencia fantástica: The care my grandmother received during her short stay was great. She had never been to a facility . The staff was extremely generous & my grandmother was very pleased her self. The therapist did amazing with her & were very very caring . The nurses (James , Samantha , Sherri ,Lorena) were attentive, just to mention a few. The administrator Jazmin and admissions Sarah also provided useful information for her stay. Thank you, Norwalk Skilled nursing centre and wellness staff!

Experiencia fantástica: Great building and the staff is excellent. Super clean as well. The nurses are Very prompt and caring. Thank you for taking of my mom!!

Experiencia negativa: Never take you family members here, you will be verbally abuse and other neglect. For example, today as I was waiting to speak to the DON, I heard the DON of this facilty yell at this poor Latina whom she was looking to see her husband at the facility. I heard said "your husband is one of my worst ever patient here, he is non compliant, take him with you. Now leave my office now." Of course this will never happen if had been a philipino family. Poor lady was in tears after this. Instances like this and verbal abuse and neglect, rampant on this facility. None of the skilled nurses and management speaks Spanish even though they are caring for a very large Hispanic neighborhood. Please stay away, unless you are one of their race

Experiencia fantástica: Thanks to Norwalk skilled nurse my mother is getting to a great start in life. This is a very clean and wonderful staff no doubt about it the leadership of this place is doing a great job. Thank you Beth , Teresa, Sara. And of course Their great staff.

Experiencia negativa: This place is unbelievable. My mother had a total knee replacement and needed to go into a home for rehab and they refused her because she has chronic pain from arthritis!!!!! How does this happen when you have excellent insurance? I wouldn’t send my dog to this place after what I just experienced!!!!!! I give them no stars however in order to post I had to give 1.

Experiencia negativa: Very dirty and unprofessional staff, they are all talk and meetings with no positive outcome. Cna's were caught several times socializing as patients were requesting to be assisted for the bathroom or to be changed.

Experiencia fantástica: The staff at the Norwalk Skilled Nursed & Wellness (Theresa, Sara, Juan and Dina) are very attentive and professional and they go out of their way to make their tenants and relatives welcome and safe. They took such a good care of my father during the time he was here that I definitely recommend this facility.
