Experiencia positiva: Good: The Nursing Assistants are top of the line in their work. They are also compassionate. The food is good. The on-staff nurses are competent. Bad: The Doctor changes your prescriptions without telling you or anyone in your family. This caused me some health trouble. About three days a week Arvada care uses what are called Agency Nurses. A portion of these omit giving medications entirely, or omit some of the medications.

Experiencia fantástica: My mom is staying here for rehab after a long stay in the hospital and this place has been amazing. It's an older building but it's very clean and well kept. There's a large outdoor area that's comfortable and perfect for sitting outside and visiting. My mom loves the food and they have a great alternate menu if the main meal isn't to your liking. There are scheduled activities every day and there's a lot of participation from both long and short term residents. The PT seems really geared towards getting you home and making sure individual situations are taken into account. It seems to be well staffed with a good ratio of patients to staff and all of the staff that I've interacted with and seen have been exceptionally friendly and helpful, and most importantly they seem happy to be there. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Arvada Care and Rehab to anyone.

Experiencia fantástica: Arvada Care & Rehab Center has a warm and welcoming atmosphere - you can really tell when walking in that the residents feel at ease. The staff are attentive and kind, taking the time to get to know the residents and responding to their needs with care. Families can feel confident that their loved ones are treated with respect and compassion.

Experiencia fantástica: Beautiful little home! Not like some of these giant institutionalized facilities out there. Arvada is light and bright and has a cottage-like feel. They have an AMAZING therapy team. Overall it is a very nice and peaceful environment for rehab.

Experiencia fantástica: Arvada is no doubt the best facility to place a loved one. My mom came here for rehab after an accident at home, resulting in her needed rehab. Arvada’s CNA’s, Nurses, and Directors were very welcoming, caring and very helpful to my mother and got her feeling better than ever! Thank you Arvada!

Experiencia negativa: 1 star because I can't give half of a star. This was more of a nursing home than a Rehabilitation Center. PT was sub par at best and PT reports seem to be padded. My father hasn't ridden a bike for 30 minutes in decades and he suddenly did at the age of 84 after a fall and broken bones??? That doesn't even make sense. And the only thing we were told when bringing up our concerns was "they could have appealed". That's NOT an okay answer and does not address the poor PT he received. In Hindsight, we're thankful my parents DIDN'T appeal or it would have been 2-3 more weeks of him sitting in a wheelchair or laying in bed most of the day. Rooms are tiny, 2 to a room, and cramped with all sorts of things that it's hard to get around with out having to move things around. Thankful that the new Director, Adam,. called a couple of weeks later to talk . He sure got an earful and I do hope he's serious about making changes. On that note, the people were super nice and my dad said the food wasn't bad so they have that going for them.

Experiencia negativa: This is the worst place you could possibly send your loved one. My father was there for 1 week and 1 day. He left there on our request back to the hospital . He lost 12 lbs in 8 days, he was sick with infection that he did not have when he arrived there. He was never rotated or moved so he would not have bed sores. He was dehydrated. The extent of his PT was a joke. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Nothing was noticed of my dad’s deteriorating health until we had a meeting and brought it to their attention. They also tried to convene us to keep him there after we asked for things to be done. Yeah right! I beg you to please send your loved one somewhere else. This place should be shut down.

Experiencia fantástica: The team at Arvada Care Center is truly one of a kind! Their loving and caring approach, combined with their hard work, makes this community exceptional. Every time I visit, the facility is impeccably clean, and there's always an engaging activity taking place. It's clear that they prioritize the well-being and happiness of their residents. Highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: It's a very nice facility the staff is excellent I brought him in there in the middle of February my father had to go back again so I took him back. he really liked it the people treating them with respect and you can't really ask for much more but the people in there take pride in what they do I appreciate what they do for my father and helping me with what I need done to for him

Experiencia positiva: My 90 year old mother was at the center for 9 weeks and the care she received was amazing. Tha nurses, therapists, doctors and everyone in between were great. A big thanks has to go to the CNA's for their amazing care, even when they are short staffed. With a full CNA staff I would happily give 5 stars overall.

Experiencia fantástica: My mother stayed here earlier in the year and we could feel the love from the staff from Day 1. Staff was attentive and their staffing ratios are great compared to a lot of facilities in the area. My favorite part is that they have all their own staff when I know other facilities have temp folks that come in and care less about their job. Mary was happy with the CNAs and therapists. The nursing director, rehab director, and social worker also went above and beyond.

Filthy room share bathroom with room next door you’d be using facilities person from other room would try opening door The jerk with the bun nobody explained why he’d put his head under four covers and turn the flashlight on under his chin it took me a month to get over being there it needs to be closed DOWN

Experiencia fantástica: I am a hospice nurse and visit many many facilities. This place is a gem! Long term staff, awesome care of residents and the staff truly cares for their residents. It shines thru when i visit residents!

Experiencia fantástica: Lovely Place, I was in rehab for 20 days. I got stronger and stronger, the p/t staff were professional, and kind. The rest of the staff went above and beyond their duties and took such good care of me.

Experiencia negativa: I would strongly not recommend. I found the place to be filthy and unsafe. They left my Mom laying in soiled diapers for hours causing her to get a bad UTI. Some of the CNAs are rude and uncaring. It's depressing and somewhat neglectful. They sent my Mom home with bed soars and a bad rash on her bottom and a diaper full of poop.

Experiencia fantástica: I have enjoyed my stay with Arvada care. I have felt safe and got a routine and sad to be leaving today. Although I feel confident with the expert nursing skills and expert therapy needs I feel confident leaving after the care I got here. Greatly enjoyed activities help me through the day and was giving a space to do crafts on my own. My case worker Veronica help guide me and answered all your questions all services I need in place ready to go. Food service was very healthy and offered other choices if you sis not like what was on the menu plenty of food for everyone. I would recommend Arvada if you want great care with friendly staff to improve whatever you got going on! I got sent out to hospital and requested to come back to Arvada for the great care and I really felt welcomed, safe and made many friends. It was like a home away from home.

Experiencia fantástica: I came in for skilled rehab got great care with awesome therapy. Nursing is wonderful and all my questions were answered and if not they found a way to resolve my problem. If needing rehab I would recommend Arvada Care.

Experiencia negativa: My mom stayed here. This facility was a nightmare. Nothing about it was confortable or easy. I never once felt like my mom was safe and in good hands. If you have any other options GO ANYWHERE ELSE. One positive thing: Will seemed to genuinely care and was great at putting out fires. But I wouldn't recommend this place if you can avoid it

Experiencia negativa: Upon leaving the hospital following a week of recovery from a serious illness, it was recommended that I go to a rehabilitation hospital. Please don't put yourself or a loved one through this place! Medications were hours late constantly! Say anything, and there are retaliations. I was left on a bed pan for 30+ minutes! I was told not to use the call button, WHEN I absolutely had to, response time was always 20 minutes plus. Nurses in my face telling me to stop pooping because I had diarrhea. My roommate was there for hospice. She spent the entire 4 days it took me to get out of there screaming and throwing her meal trays, water, basically anything at the separation curtain. I kept being promised to move to another facility. After 4 days, I found a wonderful facility myself. Please do yourself and your family a huge favor and don't set appointments. Just show up to see how they really work! Better yet. Don't bother with this one!

Experiencia negativa: My father was sent there, luckily for a very short time, just a couple of days, my father requested help to get up and use the bathroom, a notified a nurse she told me “he has briefs on tell him to go ahead and go and I will clean him up later.” Unbelievable!!

Experiencia negativa: HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. The nurses are incredibly inconsistent and rude to their patients and families. This center dramatically lowered my Grandmothers quality of life while she was trying to heal. I have reached out to express concerns multiple times and have not heard back and they are just sweeping everything under the rug. Very frustrating and disappointing.

Experiencia negativa: Horrible place!! Nurses and staff do care about their patients. They are extremely rude. My mom was verbally abused and they did not take care of her wound site after her surgery properly and she ended up back in the hospital. I will be reporting this place to the state of Colorado.

Experiencia fantástica: The Rehabilitation Staff were amazing —knowledgeable, experienced and encouraging! Cannot say enough about all 3 therapies-PT, OT and ST! Activities staff also very good and fun, energetic! The Dietary staff sure worked hard. One young man who worked PT was very friendly and loved his job! Lucy stood out as an AMAZING aide. The DON was approachable and helpful -she, too, had a passion for her job! Thank you all for caring for our Mom.

Experiencia fantástica: The Rehab Department was superb! As a former Physical Therapist, it was very important for this to go well with my Mom, who was in ICU for 7 days. They exceeded my expectations, as did Social Services, the CNAs and The Activities Dept. Restored my faith in healthcare!

Experiencia negativa: Does not deserve 1 star. my mom was in and out the next day ! Center not equipped for some one who just been discharged from the hospital. Staff/ Head nurse did not prioritize the patients. Very sad because folks are put there to receive care! This all happened 3weeks ago!

Experiencia positiva: Upper management needs revamping. A lot of the staff really cares about their residents. It needs some sprucing up tho. It's very outdated and hospital feeling. A lot of people live here, it's their home. It should feel like a home.

Experiencia negativa: My mom had receive the most horrible care in her 3 days of Being at Arvada care center all the nurses and the people who work there are really Rude they Do not care about your loved ones the nurses didn't give my mom her anti seizure medicine after 24 hours of her being at there facility The nurses were trying to misdiagnose my mom of stuff she didn't have and giving her unknown medicines I had enough of this place I pulled my mom out immediately and found her a very nice place suitable facility that will take better care of my mom do not put your loved ones here you'll regret it I reported Arvada care center to the state of Colorado this place needs to be shut down It's a major safety issue for people who are here

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve met both of the last administrators at this building, and they have both been wonderful individuals with nothing but the care of their resident population in mind. It is so hard to find directors who really care about the people in their building if you’re looking for a place for rehab or for a long-term stay don’t look anywhere else just come to Arvada Care and Rehabilitation, you won’t regret it. Their nursing staff is amazing and their rehab program second to none.

Experiencia negativa: I chose this place because it was five star rated. But when my mother arrived, she refused to stay. She was put in a room and the window above her bed the window seal was crumbling. The room was dark and gray, and the building is very rundown. I do have to say the staff was friendly and she didn’t stay long enough to talk about the quality of care. She had to stay overnight in order for us to arrange a different center. The staff promise to try to charm her overnight but when I spoke to her the next morning, she said no one really bothered to come in her room or do anything with her. She was given use of a walker and had to go to the bathroom by herself Before anyone had even taught her how to use it. She was also given what they said was a blood thinner on the last day that we later found out was a painkiller. She was told it was a blood thinner. I was also very concerned about my safety parking when I went to see her. There is no parking for gas unless you park on the edge of a busy street. I just felt unsafe getting out of my car. I’m sure the staff is kind but I did have some big concerns I understand that care is more important than aesthetics, but they need to do a little more with aesthetics…they really do!

Experiencia fantástica: As a former employee, I can't say enough nice things about this facility. A couple of faculty that stood out to me as being especially exceptional is the marketing director, Darin P. the activities director, Mary S. and the restorative aid, Karen F. The staff truly care about the wellbeing of the residents and want to make their experience as enjoyable as possible. I would recommend any of my family and close friends to Arvada Care & Rehab.

Experiencia fantástica: Both of my parents received excellent care at the center. On the administrative side, folks like Asher, Darin, and Destiny were well organized and helpful. On the service side, folks like Brian, Krupa, and Steve made sure that my folks received the proper daily care, and that they were comfortable.

Experiencia negativa: I'd give this a -5 if I could. I was taken there post back surgery directly from hospital for rehab. Horrible old dirty. This is an indoor homeless shelter. I refused to stay....touched nothing....manager tried pressuring me to stay.... NOT happening. I had transport take me back to hospital.

Experiencia negativa: If I could give ZERO stars I would, the place is filthy and the workers look like they don’t even take care of themselves, better yet the patients in their care. My grandma was there for short term care rehab after breaking her arm, she was left with soiled pants two times throughout the night and left to sit in her own fecal matter for OVER AN HOUR . front desk claims they just “didn’t have the staff”. If you can not fully staff a rehab center you shouldn’t be allowing new people in your facility without staff coverage , DO NOT TRUST YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS WITH THESE PEOPLE THEY CANT EVEN TAKE CARE OF BASIC NECESSITIES . What a shame this place is branded with 4 stars. Must be paying a review specialist to remove bad reviews . HIGHLY UNRECOMMENDED

Seeing the connection that staff have with the patients both here for short term skilled and long term care, they connect with each of them to a level they know how to advocate for them. It feels great to be able to be part of a small community promoting care and family.

Experiencia fantástica: I've been in the community for 20 plus years! Arvada Care and Rehab isn't the newest, biggest or shiniest. However the the care here is among the best in the community and rated a 5 STAR by CMS. If your looking for a smaller, quaint, more individualized setting, this is your place! The TEAM here will go above beyond to meet the needs of each resident and family member. The nursing staff can handle very complex patients. Communication and transparency are at the top of the list. I sure wouldn't look past this facility if I had to place my mom or dad!

Everyone that I have spoken with has been wonderful, and the rehabilitation is top notch! I would not hesitate to place my family here again if needed!

Experiencia fantástica: Don't judge a book by it's cover. This is a small and perhaps a bit dated facility, but it is staffed with the most incredible people! My Mom was there for 5 months and was treated with the utmost respect and dignity the entire time. Saraha was instrumental in getting her approved for care and making her feel at home. Everyone from the nurses to the rehabilitation specialists to the social workers are truly caring individuals who dedicate themselves to the care of these residents. When it came time to move Mom to a different type of facility, Ryan couldn't have been more helpful. The absolute best you can hope for, when moving a loved one into long term care is that the people are genuine, good-hearted and skilled in their disciplines. Arvada Care and Rehab has all of this and more. Thank you all so much for the loving care you gave my mom. We won't forget you!

Experiencia negativa: I spent all of two hours at this place before I called my son to come and pick me up. I needed short term care. The rooms are very small and one bathroom with only a toilet and sink services 4 people. The riser was old, chipped and made of wood. It appeared that many people there had various forms of mental illness and many were yelling out various things. The cook was making DINNER which consisted of Tomato Soup and Grilled Cheese Sandwiches. I could go on and on but I won't. I would not recommend this place to anyone. It definitely needs upgrades. Staff seemed fine, just chaotic.

My 90 year old grandma was moved there from another facility out of state and could barley move and had no motivation to do anything. After several months of care she was up moving around, dinning with new friends and slowly working out. Her whole attitude changed and we feel it was all because of the outstanding care she was receiving. She was happy again and after being there over a year and a half decided she was ready to move back with her family... From the staff communicating with us about her health to the admisistraion working with us we would highly recommend this facility...

Experiencia fantástica: I love Arvada Care Center! The quality care and all staff are excellent! The patient and residents are taken good care of with good attention to their individual needs. Karen Farley runs a "top notch" restorative program, you can count on getting the best therapy to be able to recover after an illness or surgery and be able to go home at your optimal functional level with the right resources to continue you in home therapy for fullest recovery. Patients and residents who are long term are treated with kindness, gentleness and with respect by CNA's nurses and managers , activities are fun and engaging.

Experiencia positiva: Night staff is great, but there is an aid during the day that borderline abusive, moody, lazy and would rather go outside, smoke her cigarette and talk on the phone then do her job. When confronted she is prone to retaliation with my father. She slams doors, in my sister's face and argumentative. She left my father in his own feces for hours. This is not the first time this happened. We have complained about her, but they keep her on anyway. One bad apple can ruin it for the rest of them. I for one worry about her taking care of my dad.

Experiencia fantástica: My 90 year old Alzheimer's mother has been at this facility for 6 months now and is in long term care. The entire staff is friendly and outstanding. The quality of care excellent beyond words.....my mother is very very happy there and loves the staff, the activities and the food. She says everyone there is so nice. I highly recommend Arvada Care and Rehabilitation Center for your loved one!

Experiencia negativa: This place is dangerous for the patient. I would avoid the facility at all costs. Many patients seem abused.

Experiencia negativa: The staff is hostile toward patients, which boarders on verbal abuse. They don't listen to their patients including when they place them in the wrong room. They are snippy with the family members as well. We feared retaliation during the whole experience.

I knew if the staff was happy they would take good care of my loved one. Jenny, Brian, and many others on the therapy staff, provided excellent physical, occupational, and speech therapy. My brother is returning home this weekend, stronger than ever!!!! Thank you Arvada Care and Rehabilitation Center. You ROCK!!!!

Experiencia negativa: The parking situation is danger to the public; but the wheelchair bound man who claimed to be in charge said that he "isn't culpable" if people are hurt, or even killed, out in front of Arvada Care and Rehabilitation Center. Real stand up guy, and I can only imagine the rest of the staff follows his example.
