Experiencia fantástica: We were so expressed with the care and staff at Azria! My mom became a resident in June. Teresa and the staff immediately welcomed her and made the transition smooth. The nurses are amazing in the their bed side manner especially Kim, Lily and Janesha. Overall it has been a good experience.

Experiencia negativa: (2024)This place is a joke please please RUN FAR AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!’ They have COCKROACHES, BEDBUGS, and MICE!!!!!!!! The whole facility is disgusting!!!! There is no teamwork to begin with! They favoritism some their residents over the rest of the other residents; They do have dialysis downstairs but even down there is so filthy! This nursing home needs to be SHUTDOWN!! & these mfs comment back to say thank you for your feedback etc mfs do something about it STAT; morons!!!!!!!
Experiencia positiva: We should never rely on first impressions. When I visited the first time, I was disturbed by the location. I was disturbed by the overall lower class feel of the place. And I don’t mean that in a judgmental way. But I quickly discovered none of that mattered. The staff is so friendly and helpful. They are very respectful of their patients and seem engaged. My dearest friend will most likely spend the rest of her days there, and it gives me comfort to know she’s being cared for by wonderful people.

Experiencia negativa: First off I can not sing the praises of the therapy team at Azria enough! I made more progress under the therapy teams’ care than I have at dedicated rehabilitation centers. Where do they go wrong? They are wildly understaffed which resulted in me having less than a shower a week. This also results in long call light wait times and understandably frustrated CNAs. Medical care- I got a double dose of a vaccine overnight. After insisting it was reported, no follow up from admin. Transitional services- DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU PLAN ON LEAVING!!!! My social worker dropped so many balls! She released me under unsafe conditions. Things that she assured me were taken care of like home health and a hospital bed simply didn’t happen. Specific note: Ensure you do not have URSULA as your social worker. Even my home health and insurance reps said they quit talking with Ursula because she was so in helpful. That says a lot. Food: if you want to die eat here. I begged and pleaded for fruit of any kind. Or any fresh fruit or vegetable. I left as a 31 year old with high cholesterol. At home now, my cholesterol is a healthy number by diet changes alone.

Her aide today was so awesome & very sweet. Environmental Services came cleaned her room right up. Very friendly, & said Hi to residents when entering their rooms. The aides here have been so good to my Momz
Experiencia fantástica: My brother Alan was in the care of Azria-Olathe for the last 3+ years before he passed. He was provided with excellent care throughout his stay. We received wonderful communication from the staff… who were so very caring & helpful with all of his needs. We are very appreciative and just can’t say enough. Highly recommended!

Experiencia negativa: My mother passed away during her stay here and we never got her blanket back. It may seem like a small thing for some, but my kids really miss their grandma and they really wanted that blanket. They offered to pay to replace it, but that wasn't the point. Every time they did laundry she wouldn't get all of her stuff back. She had to ask for a whole week once if she could PLEASE have her blanket back as she was always so cold. I ended up having to call and tell them to give it back to her! I'm sure some other resident has a really nice blanket now.
Experiencia fantástica: I am so blessed for the great team from Azria Health providing care for my Uncle Larry Sheridan. He is well cared for with every need met. He is happy and comfortable. In these trying times over the last year it has been very difficult with not being able to see him in person. I have been able to FaceTime and talk with him. I from my heart am so thankful for this team. Thank you for all you do

Experiencia fantástica: Ive worked at Arzia for over 7 months now and I can actually say this is one of the best nursing homes ive been emplyeed at. They are professional in every thing they do. Clean facility and great staff. I love this place.
Experiencia negativa: Was admitted post stroke. I was not given the medication I needed, by the night crew, and contracted a urinary tract infection after 2 days because staff rarely answered my calls for help to bathroom. I went back to the hospital after that experience.

Experiencia positiva: The staff at Azria did a wonderful job caring for both my parents. The biggest perk at Azria is they have on-site dialysis, which is what kept my dad alive in his final year. This was particularly helpful during COVID, as he didn't have to risk exposure going to an outside clinic for dialysis. His final wish was that he wouldn't die from COVID, and he did not. I was even able to be there with him to hold his hand as he passed. I've since moved Mom to a new facility closer to me, but the staff at Azria treated both of them well during their time there. It's a for-profit outfit, so resources are stretched thin and the quality of care reflects that, from the amenities to the food, but the people who work there genuinely care and do their level best to provide the best treatment they possibly can for their residents.

Experiencia fantástica: Azria literally saved my life! I was spinning down a depressing drain of stress & anxiety, having the thankless task of caring for my 98yr old mom & my husband (recouping from brain aneurysm) - if something didn’t change I was going to mentally collapse. I called Azria for assistance in finding respite care for my mom while I took that same time to decompress & restore my sanity. Once I had contacted Christine @Azria admissions, she took care of everything needed to help me. She contacted moms doctor for list of her meds, arranged medical transportation, reserved a room (with a TV), and personally helped my mom once she arrived at Azria. I cannot thank everyone at Azria enough except to say “thank you”. If you’re a care giver & need a well deserved break from the day to day routines...contact Azria. I’ve learned that my mental & physical well-being is even more important than those receiving my care. Azria staff is professional, attentive & friendly. They truly enjoy helping the residents. The facility is clean & spacious. While it’s not a Taj Mahal - mom was clean, feed 3x, bathed, clothed, and helped with whatever she needed. I highly recommend Azria to anyone looking for a place for mom/dad.

I grew up in a nursing home that my Mother owned. I can say the care here compares to the care she gave to our residents.

Experiencia fantástica: This is the first nursing home I’ve ever worked for, and I’m super happy to be with a company that is not one of the horror stories we hear about. The staff is so patient and loving towards our residents. Some of the staff go way above and beyond in making sure our long time residents with little to no family are cared for like they are part of their own family. The owners are very involved and always listening to the staff and residents to be sure everyone receives the best care possible.

Experiencia negativa: This place is horrible. HORRIBLE!!!! Don't send your loved ones here. We got ours out and he is so happy now. I have talked with other families that have had the same problems. Staff: 1. The employees seemed more interested in going out to smoke than taking care of the residents. 2. Several staff members were extremely rude to my family and I. I was having a discussion with one staff member and either the Assistant DON or DON was in the nurses station and even after the nurse went to her, she never offered to come over and discuss the problems/concerns I had about my loved ones care. The staff was just incompetent at best. 3. Whenever we would come to see my loved one, the staff would quickly leave as if they didn't want to have questions asked of them. 4. When we did talk to staff, multiple complained on multiple occasions that they were extremely short staffed and they felt unsafe. This was verified later from the Admin that they were having MAJOR staffing issues. Most staff didn't even understand basic English. 5. Nursing staff don't seem to have critical thinking skills. Hint: if a patient lips/fingers are blue, send them to the hospital. 6. When Admin were contacted related to concerns, they WOULD apologize, but no plans were ever outlined how to fix the situation. They admitted to having major issues and did take responsibility for stolen items, poor medical care, etc. How sad to actually hear from the DON that she frequently questions her staffs ability to assess/care for the patients properly. 7. Getting information from the staff was ridiculous. The charts were never filled out correctly. Nothing was placed in the correct spot in the charts, which hindered staff from finding important information. No one could find the information about scheduled doctors visits, if they had been scheduled, where the appt was at, etc. When my loved one went into the doctor or hospital, they didn't include a current med list or problem list. 8. CAN SOMEONE ANSWER A FLIPPING CALL LIGHT!!! CAN YOU FIND THE ANSWER TO THE QUESTIONS IN A TIMELY FASHION? When I would ask a question, the standard answer was let me find out... then no one would ever come back in. Food: Good God, where do I start... 1. Please feed people before 7 pm!!! That's when the food would actually be served to the residents. 2. Can you make something nutritional.. like hot food. Not a flipping sandwich, bag of chips and a store bought cookie. Lets try a hot protein, maybe some veggies, maybe some fruit? Maybe something that would be appetizing? This is supposed to be the residents home. Try making something that looks home cooked. 3. If you actually make hot food... CAN IT BE SERVED HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 4. We were told that the food prep was brought into the building and would improve. That didn't happen. It was even worse than before. Nothing was set at the tables. No placemats, salt and pepper shakers, silverware, Condiments, centerpiece.. nothing. Building/Space/cleanliness: 1. Building is older and being renovated. That's fine if the care was good. 2. Hire housekeeping. Everything was dirty, dusty, nasty. My favorite was finding cigarette butts in the hallways. 3. Yelp a good pest control service. 4. Rooms are to small to provide safe care. This was admitted by staff and Admin. No lift devices for the staff. Care: 1. Took forever to get staff help, or someone to answer a call light. 2. Have staff complete pericare on the patients when they get them up and when they put them down to go to bed. Take out the dentures and actually clean them. 3. No one ever checked if patients were clean or dirty. 4. Multiple items were stolen, I mean all of his shoes, most of his clothes, and some other personal items. We were told that some staff were fired for stealing his items but the problem continued. My heart broke when my loved one said why get something for me, they just take it anyways. 5. He fell several times and no plan of action was ever put into place to prevent the falls.
