Experiencia fantástica: I would call Dr. Kristin Girshin a top expert, an absolute Godsend, and the single most beneficial practitioner our child has seen (and she’s seen a lot!) While I can’t promise that she is a miracle worker, she has worked miracles for our daughter. Our daughter was born with a very complicated spinal cord issue which was causing her to decline, fast. After her surgery, the surgeon said she would likely have even more neurological weakness. We asked everywhere and searched for treatments and therapies. We were led to e-stim and debated flying to Florida to meet with an expert there. By God’s grace, we stumbled across a list of therapists in the US that had trained in this highly nuanced field of pediatric neuromodulation and discovered that there was just ONE located in California: Dr. Kristin Girshin! We began therapy with her shortly after our daughter healed from surgery. We saw immediate results. Our daughter had not yet been able to sit up on her own. The FIRST time we tried Dr. Kristin’s recommendations at home, our daughter pushed herself into sitting! The rest was history. Our daughter began not only meeting milestones, she actually hit some early. When our daughter showed signs of wanting to crawl, but couldn’t, Dr. Kristin immediately identified what was needed and adjusted the treatment accordingly. Within a week or two of starting her recommendation, our daughter took off crawling! She was thrilled! Since then, Dr. Kristin has helped get our daughter standing and cruising by just 12 months of age. At her 1 year check up, her Pediatrician was floored by her progress. Her neurosurgeon is incredibly impressed. Her other doctor wants to use her as a case study at a seminar for other doctors. Dr. Kristin gets results and she truly knows this field better than anyone in the state, but that’s not even the best part about her! Dr. Kristin becomes your child’s biggest cheerleader and advocate. She saw potential in our child that I couldn’t see. My daughter LOVES Dr. Kristin! Dr. Kristin knows children and what makes them tick. She’s also just incredibly kindhearted. She’ll make sure you feel supported, she’ll make sure your child feels comfortable and respected, and she will guide you both along the way. She has taken so much of her own time to help us with things like insurance, dealing with medical equipment vendors, answering our questions outside of our scheduled PT time, watching update videos we send her, and more. She is skilled in SO many physical therapy modalities and takes a holistic approach: bringing in all of the different therapies, considering your child’s goals and temperament, monitoring things like alignment and growth. Her clinic space is new, is very clean, and designed with kids in mind. (Even my 5 year old who just tags along cannot keep off all of the equipment because it’s just too fun!) If folks realized the gem they have hidden here in Upland, CA, there would be a year-long waitlist. She’s only remained hidden this long because of her humility and her focus on research and helping kids, rather than on advertising. It’s simply a matter of time, though, because practitioners of this caliber, who provide such personalized concierge services, gather a waitlist quick. Every kid would benefit from having Dr Kristin on their team.

Dr. Kristin offers generous, knowledgable, and aligned care with the intention of meeting patients exactly where they are. She brings a high level of expertise combined with a clear passion for PT. Do yourself a favor and book a consultation now - I cannot recommend this practice enough!

She’s is a treasure and has a wealth of experience, knowledge and experience with patience! I worked with her during the SpineX trial and would love to continue working with her on improving further!

Experiencia fantástica: We are so blessed to have found Kristin at a time when we felt like giving up on therapy. Kristin is so dedicated and hard-working and constantly thinking of ways to help her kiddos. Since we started therapy a little over a year ago, our son has improved posture, head control, and trunk strength. The electrical stimulation is helping to loosen up his arms and hands and we have purchased a unit to use at home as well. She has also helped us with finding the right equipment to help keep him in the best posture. I would highly recommend Kristin to any parents looking for someone who will think outside of the box and never give up on the kids. She is extremely knowledgeable, kind and truly loves what she does!

Experiencia fantástica: We first met Kristin when our daughter was accepted into a pilot study for SpineX. Our daughter worked with her through the studies a total of 29 weeks, and then after our time in the study had ended, we spent the next couple of weeks meeting Kristin in her home clinic so that we could plan out a home therapy program for PT that included e-stim. I did a quick count and in my daughter's nine years of life, we have (including various intensive therapies) had somewhere around 27-30 therapists who have worked with her. Kristin has been the most intentional and goal-function-oriented therapist that we have ever had. She is knowledgable as a PT, but she also is willing to think outside of the normal box in order to figure out the puzzle pieces of movement that children need to reach their maximum potential. She is awesome and we seriously considered moving across the country to CA just for her to be our home-based therapist.
