Experiencia fantástica: This is a phenomenal rehabilitation center. I would recommend this program to anyone in need of any type of rehabilitation.

Experiencia positiva: 1 . Nurses were good overall but seemed short handed . Special notice to nurses, Nashilee , compassionate and on top of everything , Eden- so cheerful, Larry the night nurse, very pleasant and considerate, Lumilda and Yolanda , very helpful , above and beyond. 2 therapy staff was great, Gaby, Darby, PT- Ryann and OT - Eliel 3 Pet therapy was great but they should come to the rooms instead of another floor of the hospital Cons- mom was not turned enough, bed sore on bum and another bad one on her heel. After therapy they would not let us walk her tho there were two of us there many times . At least one night nurse did not check the pull up overnight, mom was soaked . Others did check mostly but one bad night was bad enough. 4 . DNR discussion again after making those decisions in ICU in same hospital . Dr asked my mother if she wanted CPR.. after her stroke where she did not even know her address ..makes no sense. 5 .herpsrin shots 4 x a day. NIH said data does not support this as helpful but they said ‘ standard of care’ they need to look at latest research from nih, American stroke society , American heart association. Mom was beat up from these shots on her arms stomach .. 6 case workers - I had to go find them most of the time , they did fill out my paperwork fir fmlA but not really proactive , very limited help 7 food- could be healthy, mashed potatoes twice a day at times . Juice at every meal? I did get water instead. Only fruit was banan ma except one day, not good if constipated 8 please don’t assume Latin surname doesn’t speak English ! Bi lingual . 9. You really need to have a loved one with you esp after stroke where they don’t initiate conversation. Consider that this cost $180k just to get into rehab for 2.5 week plus many other costs. You need very good insurance . I’m not sure it’s cost effective . You can likely have 24 hr care at home for less than this. Costs are exorbitant.

Experiencia fantástica: I recently stood here at the ORMC rehab after having a spinal fusion done. I’m a 32 year-old male and a lot of things were really in question for me emotionally mentally and physically after this surgery. I was very uncertain of what the future would bring, and how my life would change afterwards. Typically, I’m a very strong minded and strong willed person but on this occasion, I was particularly down and not feeling like myself at all. Let me just say that everyone I encountered was absolutely great on this floor, helpful, caring and compassionate, but I want to focus on one person in particular Ryann Eliel, not only did Ryan exude a level professionalism that I had not seen at any other hospital or facility, but she really went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and confident in a future that seemed so uncertain for me. She answered every annoying question that I had, but not only does she answer them she forced me to think so that I could answer them myself which I think is very important. She challenged me to push myself safely while also making the rehab fun and enjoyable. She wasn’t in a rush to be done with her session with me. Instead, she tried to utilize every minute she could to give me every bit of knowledge that she saw would be helpful for my return back home. She made me feel that all the things that were important to me, were just as important to her, which made me feel more like I was dealing with family, rather than just some stranger While I hope I never have to go to rehab again or need another surgery. I would hope that anyone that I encounter in the future would treat me with the same level of respect, compassion and dignity that she did. While the entire rehab team and staff was amazing to work with , I will never forget the impact that she had on my life And the confidence she instilled in to push myself to heal. Overall My stay at OMC and the rehab floor was one that I know my family will appreciate in the long run. I know when I go home I will go with the confidence and knowledge needed to be successful and safe in my healing journey. So I just wanted to take this time to thank Ryann Eliel for her amazing work attention to detail and personable attitude. I really hope that Orlando regional Medical Center knows the quality that they have in this employee and are rewarding her accordingly Thank you guys for everything you’ve done for me and for my family it is greatly appreciated. Experiencia fantástica: I was understandably terrified after falling at home. The rescue squad team OCRS 85 immediately gave me confidence and put me at ease. Their decision to take me to Trauma was spot on. From there on I was in competent, expert hands. Drugs helped but I relaxed. Post orthopedic surgery, I vaguely remember being told i needed more blood and then my daughter questioning where it was going. The end result was a hematoma with a direct vein fueling it so a return to surgery to cortorize that before sleep took over again The nursing staff and techs on Surgical Recovery were so kind and tolerant and competent as they were everywhere. I remember apologizing for having no bowel control and the ladies telling me not to worry about it at all. Such kindness is from the soul. Then off again to a new floor and new staff. Dr Hamid rescued me from falling which prompted a good DNR discussion. I was offered pain medication but hopefully was able to remain lucid. Again, the axillary staff was excellent from the kitchen to the room cleaners. Each day that passed I was kept apprised of my condition, my healing, my prognosis (much different from my view of under the couch at home). I knew my job was attitude and general health. Next thing i knew, we were talking “rehab”. I couldn't even turn over but thought in-house was the best and sure beat a nursing home. Through your expert team I was entered into in-house and by the end of 7 days I was scooting my wheelchair and pedaling the bike to nowhere, and even able to transfer to the “car” (definitely a necessity or there’d have been a wheelchair on the 408!) Everything had been discussed with at least 4 therapists and Dr K Clemons, who checked on my and chattef every day, and with much fanfare (great for my ego) I was escorted out the front door, family in tow with flowers! All necessary pieces of equipment were at home awaiting my arrival. Every nurse I encountered was attentive on every step of this journey, especially in the pain killers as requested and gradual weaning down. My goal was to make a flight to California to travel to Yosemite for a family event. Everyone on staff, doctors, pt’s, ot’s, everyone encouraged me. I even went to dinner at The Animal Kingdom after only being home a few days by wheelchair. Well, Yosemite was graced with my presence, not in a wheelchair, not with a walker but with the assistance of a snazzy leopard cane. I thank you for your staff and the care you offer everyone who passes through your doors in need.

My team of therapists were always there to answer questions, lend support and encouragement. They weren't easy on me and I encouraged that, lol. Experiencia fantástica: Everyone here at ORMC Rehabilitation were amazing in helping with the recovery of my baby girl, Chloé. When she arrived, she couldn't walk, couldn't care for herself in any capacity. She spent several weeks with you all. She had amazing nurses, awesome PTs and OTs, wonderful support staff down to the sweet ladies who cleaned her room and brought her food each day. Her doctor was compassionate and truly cared about Chloé as a human being. You all did. The kindness extended to her in her circumstances meant the world to her and to us, her parents. My baby walked out of there the night she was released with a walker, something she swore she would do. She has continued with outpatient therapies and is still making progress. I'm so thankful for the care you all provided my girl. I apologize for my tardiness in leaving this review, but know you are all so very appreciated.

Experiencia fantástica: My mother was in this program in Dec '21-Jan '22 and it was excellent in every way! What one reviewer said about it feeling like a family is the best way to describe it. They loved on my mom and taught her many new l skills while also helping her regain strength and abilities she had lost. Each therapist, the caseworker, and the team of doctors did much research and were able to explain things to us "like we're five" so we could understand and take the knowledge home with us. I highly recommend this excellent facility and its staff. I believe it is important to say that family support for the patient is essential, just as the brochure for IFAR states.

I feel I am stay in a big family!they are so patient，they always try their best to help you it doesn’t matter big things or small things!There is a face to face interpreter When I doing my Rehabilitation！I even can’t move my fingers and toes when I’m in,but I can walking and my arms And fingers are moving too After 2 weeks!they are so professional and also have good equipments to helping you recover fast! I am a Chinese,they also give me special Chinese food To help me feel like home!Everyone are so so so so so nice! I am highly recommend!
