Experiencia fantástica: My client was at shoreline and he had the most amazing experience everyone was so friendly and helpful with his care from the housekeeping Maria .And the staff Joseph, Gladis were the nurses in charge for him also Greg the treatment nurse and PT staffing I appreciate everything you’ve did for his care I recommend shoreline for your family care! Thank you Shoreline and Staff!

Experiencia negativa: Sorry to say this place is the worst I've had to call 911 twice since I've been here. It took over 3 hours for the supervisor to get here after my request. It takes over an hour to get assistance after pressing the call button. It's a nightmare trying to get 2 showers a week tbh you get treated better in jail. Nothing but stress and problems everyday..I recommend avoiding this place at all costs. Very understaffed. Have trouble getting my medication when I need it. And have to say it again very understaffed. The pediatricirist didn't come at there appointed time and my toe nails are very long they poke or slice into my feet but they won't do anything about it for me so they said I have to wait 2 months for the foot doctor meanwhile I risk slicing or poking my legs and feet. Physical therapy here is practically non existence. And I believe all the other one star review posts to be very true. BEWARE! thank God a friend came over and trimmed my toe nails for me. understaffed I constantly hear you'll have to wait were short staffed.BEWARE patients yelling for help. Say it again very understaffed . Mistake calling for anything around their shift change they act like they'll help you with what your asking. Only to end their shift and leave you hanging. Tonight none of the call buttons work so now my roommate's and I have to yell for help for assistance the management assured me that it not under staffed then how come my CNA tells me I have to wait to be changed because I have 12 people ahead of you. Plus the shower chair is extremely uncomfortable for me so she informed me I might have to wait in the chair for a while because she doesn't know how long I will have to sit in the chair! Because of my back and hip I need to be removed from the chair as soon as I return to my room. She cannot insure me how long I will have to seat in that painful chair so I had to cancel my shower because of my physical condition because she wants me to know I might have to sit in the chair. Because she doesn't know how long I will have to sit in the chair when I'm done. Because everyone is going to be busy, which means to me if they had some help they could accommodate me better I know I'm not the only one at this place. But I don't ask for much. So that's what I've witnessed that could be solved with a few more staff I've requested a visit HR to see Samantha before breakfast and it's been 7 hours. My CNA told me there short-staffed because 4 people called in sick to shift change they just forgot about me all day. Plus still wanting pain medication since noon, nothing! Once again don't ask for anything before shift change the promise you only to leave and forget about you. Correction Sam is from social services My pain is at a level 10 and who knows when I can get them. Nurse came in yesterday to impose a new rule that I'm not allowed to store anything on my shelf above my head board apparently the new rule is just for me. And when I first started these posts one of the CNA's said I shouldn't have done that be what if we had an option to post about our patients. After thinking it over I think that would be a great idea. Any channel to communicate would be greatly appreciated buy me. They want to have me try another sleeping medication. I've had all the different sleeping medication. Because of my stroke 4/1/2013 I've had extreme insomnia and I've tried all the different sleeping medication over the years. My sleep is very important to me. And they want me to go back to the last sleeping medication I was on. Which is very bad for me. Because I've tried all the sleeping medications out and the test they want me to do, I will end up not getting any sleep. Very irritating I don't look forward to this test they want me to do. I become very unruly every time I go through this procedure. There is some very pleasant proficanal personal. Michael, Esmarlda. Are just a couple who are very pleasant and professional CNA's among a lot of others. See for yourself call their phone number and see how long it takes for them to answer it.

Experiencia fantástica: I am thankful and grateful for the compassion that the shoreline staff gave my husband while he was there recovering from a stroke. Emelita went above and beyond to make sure my husband was taken care of. My husband is excited to come back and visit all the staff and residents that became his friends. My husband and I grew to love the staff and patients there. I highly recommend this place for their compassion and care that they give their patients. Thank you Shoreline!

Experiencia negativa: If I could get this place a zero star I would. Not only were the clothes stolen from him but they would take the food away before he got a chance to eat it and on top of that my mother showed up to find him so severely dehydrated he was on death's door and needed to be taken to the hospital immediately. Please do not take any of your family here if you really care about them they are the worst thing that ever happened to mine. My edit is to say he was a severe stroke patient that needed help eating and drinking and all the staff did was make sure he ate one bite before leaving. Passed away shortly after this no doubt due to the incompetence

Experiencia fantástica: Shoreline staff is very kind with our mom. We ask questions often about our mom. They always have the answers and if they don’t they find out and get back to us as soon they can. They set up a table and chairs and decorated for my mom’s birthday for us to celebrate her. I’m very happy having her there.

Experiencia fantástica: The nursing staff is phenomenal, the food is great. Andrea my social service is awesome. Everyone here has a sense of humor and has a smile on their face. I was treated very well and I recommend this place to anyone who needs help. Edward in admin also got everything moving when I needed anything. I met a lot of good people here that I will come by and visit. Thank you to everyone that made my stay memorable.

Experiencia fantástica: They really need to add a star for the staff at Shoreline. From the nurses to the PTs the doctors the girl that brings your meds at two am. The food is even good. Just great folk doin a fantastic job. Great vibes, helpful people.

Experiencia fantástica: I had great experience. I enjoyed the staff and especially the nurses including Gladys, Verna and Martha. Their salads were delicious and the kitchen staff were super generous. Management has been amazing. Dietician, Gail was accommodating and the therapy staff was amazing! I would recommend Shoreline to anyone who needs rehab!

Experiencia fantástica: I was hesitant to do a tour because of all the stories I had heard about the place in the past. However, when I did the tour, I found the place to be super clean, undergoing renovations, and with a brand new roof. Do a tour and see for yourself the changes that the new administration has made.

Experiencia negativa: My sister spent several weeks in that place and nearly died due to neglect. They are understaffed, unqualified and unsanitary. Patient care is not a priority.

Experiencia fantástica: To the treatment nurses big thumbs up for taking care of my wounds. The CNAs that took care of especially Nicole and Tracy made sure I have my needs met. The therapist and assistants are good therapist and good guys. But overall the whole staff the took care of me were all amazing. I truly appreciate all the care and good people I met at Shoreline.

Experiencia fantástica: I was here for a little over a month. Met a lot of friends here and staff are very friendly. Edward was always quick to make sure I get what I needed. Shoutout to all the staff especially in the north station. They made my stay memorable. I will be back to say hi to all my friends here.

Experiencia fantástica: I was well taking care of. People here really cared, human kindness. The staff, from nursing staff, cna, rehab and kitchen really took care of me. I'm on a feet now thanks to them. From the bottom of my heart thank you to everyone who helped me get on my feet.

Experiencia fantástica: My aunt was a resident at Shoreline Care Center for almost 2 month while she got rehabilitation (physical therapy) for her injured back. The therapy team members were so patient with her as her motivation was not always there. Dawna and the nursing staff made sure she was pain free and as comfortable as possible during her recovery. My aunt was able to return home. Thank you to all the staff at Shoreline!

Experiencia fantástica: The MD in charge is excellent……too much noise, This makes it difficult to sleep or rest. The nurses are very good…. well chosen. Food, carefully chosen… but my husband brought mine from home. They need more exercise staff…..I worked hard when it was available I wanted to go home. I have exercise there and it was almost Christmas. My 2 roommates were excellent and fun, we helped each other…… I miss them. I was oldest. So I went home in the rain just before Christmas. I have mostly happy thoughts.

Experiencia fantástica: I was actually pleasantly surprised. When I was in the hospital and they told me I was coming here I was terrified because I had a family member here about 15 years ago and this place was terrible. Apparently a lot has changed since then. I’m here receiving 12 hour infusions and other care for my myriad of conditions. I’ve received excellent care and *MOST* of the RNS, LVNS and CNAs have been very compassionate and competent at their duties. My PA here is wonderful and attentive. I don’t get to see the main doctor in charge of my care very often but he has been accommodating. Shoreline’s bad reputation proceeded it but I can honestly say they’ve been managing my care responsibly and I’ve been comfortable and well cared for during my stay. Thank you to my team for keeping me safe.

Experiencia negativa: I've read a few reviews... MOST are true. Many are over exaggerated. I had two brief stays there & HONESTLY... #1- 2write reviews complaining & criticizing go on deaf ears! Document & Report #2 - Understaffed YES! #3- Posted pictures R % FALSIFIED #4- COMMUNICATION? Is Poor @best #5- Poor Patient Treatment? YES! (however I've never ever seen physical abuse once!) #6- PATIENT NEGLECT? YES!! (see #2) #7- Staff that ACTUALLY CARE about & for patients are few & they are genuinely special Gems! You know Who You Are! #8- $$$$ Comes into that place is F$$@%* RIDICULOUS!! Yet there's ONLY BANDAIDS on & in the building. Bcus YES Shorelines bldg is falling, just as quick as Calif's shorelines. Beginning with their ROOF! #9- WAAAAY TOOOO MUCH $$$$ GOES INTO THAT PLACE!! Imagine; each patient will ONLY GET $59- from their ENTIRE CHECK the REMAINDER IS DEPOSITED TO Shorelines Acct. PLUS ea patients' insurance coverage!! C'Mon do the math? Somethings NOT RIGHT!! **#10**- If only; ROOF re-done PLUNBING Re-piped KITCHEN Revamped FLOORS too? OH AND BETTER SAFETY PRACTICES! ALSO BETTER COMMUNICATIIN STANDARDS ... Shoreline would have less problems, updated equipment & traing there'd be better reviews! I realize it all costs $$$, it's a process that no one seems to care about!! As a patient: I can keep going! As for this review though I've rated this place 2stars.... One for the few that RESLLY CARE & the other bcus without it I'm NOT able to post

Experiencia negativa: It really bothers me to see a 3 star rating I've been a resident here for almost3 years let me tell you this place has no transportation places for us residents to go to there's no regular physical therapy even when you're here for physical therapy holes in roofs no laundry soap cloths come up stolen thrown away takes to long to get reimbursed over worked and underapreciated staff food is horrible too much monies is being pocketed here by the main staff too many staff here that have sexual relationships that bring they boy/girlfriends here that turn out to be a mess..... THIS IS NO 3 STAR RATING OF PLACE TO STAY OR TO BE AN EMPLOYEE

Experiencia fantástica: I work with a local hospice company and Shoreline has been very communicative and responsive with the needs of our patients. Working with Dawna, Tess and the clinical team is a pleasure and the intake team of Lauren and Brian has always been very professional and highly competent. I have had personal family experience as well and was impressed with the care!

Experiencia negativa: Talking to these people doesn't get you anywhere. The automated response to this review is a farce. There is a lot of questionable activity happening here from all sides: Financial, Medical and HR. I am sure their hiring process is a business to facilitate "Working Visas." They don't even know correct medical terminology. The doctor admitted he was vacationing for months at a time as an excuse to why he didn't remember his patients of four years by name. 1 Star is too much. An investigation beginning with Social Worker to Financial and HR hiring process should be done.

Experiencia negativa: We have attempted to have our relative released into our care due to his harrowing atrophy. The social worker promised us a bed over 2 weeks ago, never processed any paperwork, and is hindering his release. He has fallen, has bed bug rash, and is severely neglected. We want him home. This is a sad place. I can't believe a place like this exists in Ventura County. This is a rich county. According to public records this hospital receives over 8k for each patient every first of the month from medical. In a room of three patients like my relatives room that equals to 24k a month!!!! Horrible, dirty, walls need paint, floors need mopping, and blankets need revitalizing with Tide. Where's the checks and balances in this field? And don't be impressed with their automated answer by the so called owner of this hospital. They still haven't returned my messages. They don't even have a doctor to fill our necessary paperwork. The Social Worker Adella doesn't help but appears to be a buffer between the family/patients and staff at Shoreline Facility. This will be a movie one day.

Experiencia negativa: My next door neighbor was recently admitted to this facility after having a triple bypass surgery he lasted 2 days became ill from food poisoning he was discharged to a true rehab facility but was actually discharged with an empty oxygen tank how sad we feel the staff are totally incompetent along with the supervisor. This facility does not care for their patients nor patient safety wish there was a half star to give instead

Experiencia negativa: The place could be better than what it is, but my experience was terrible. I’ve never been to a facility where they freely allow residents to have drugs and just leave and do whatever they want and come back in however condition they see fit. The amount of residents who smoke weed freely here is ridiculous. I understand it’s legal in the state, but there should be some kind of rules when it comes to a nursing home. The smell wreaks throughout the building at times and that’s unacceptable, especially for people who don’t engage in it and still have to deal with it. Another resident was also found with a pipe of some sort and I reported it to the supervisor on shift and she stated there was nothing she could do about it. That’s very scary because if a situation arises where a patient overdoses on her watch and that’s the only answer she can come up with that can bring about a whole bunch of other issues. It seems like they only care about charting being done which is understandable, but other things are just as important as well. Nurses have also been seen falsifying vitals, not taking them at all, but turning around and giving a patient blood pressure medicine which is neglect. They don’t have proper vital machines. Expect you to take all these manual blood pressures with an unrealistic patient load. They also had people testing positive for covid, but not letting all workers know which is very neglectful and unprofessional as well because people have the right to know what’s going on in the environment they are working in especially if it’s affecting their health. Overall, this place needs to be looked at closer by state because some practices that go on here are unacceptable. This could be much better place than it is.

Experiencia negativa: If I could give 0 stars I would. During my father's stay here they violated his basic patient's rights, neglected him, over medicated him, lost all of his personal belongings for 7 weeks, and I had to make several requests for each change needed about his care. He needed up on hospice because of them. With family's interventions and firing the house doctor who refused to change the medications he was having adverse reactions to we were able to help his recovery and he is now in assisted living. Without family intervening it's quite possible this facility would have killed him. DO NOT TRUST THIS FACILITY.

Experiencia fantástica: my husband spent 2 weeks at shoreline in october 2019, recovering from a bad fall. he had no complaints. i visited daily and everyone i encountered, from nurses to janitors, had such good attitudes. i was amazed to see helpful, cheerful, busy, professional people working at jobs they obviously cared about - taking care of their patients.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been working this facility and staff for almost 2 years. Recently they were awarded 5 stars. Cindy Jordan has done an amazing job with this facility and has a great team of people. I work for a Hospice agency and recommend it his facility to patients and their families. Our nurses love working with the staff and they do an amazing job caring for their patients.

Experiencia fantástica: This facility is great to work with and recently got recognition on their excellence in nursing care, 5 stars out of 5. This is such a great achievement. Shoreline has a vast variety of patients and they are always willing to work with the patients and families as if they were their own. I refer patients to them often because I know they will be in great hands!:) We have seen great results from the care they provide and friendly staff too!

Experiencia negativa: worst facility in Ventura County. the only Facility i see that their other CNA's are Students they dont have a CNA License but they let them to work as a regular CNA? thats unsafety to the residents. the DSD Name Francis Salupen is also the teacher of the students. putting students to the residents as their CNA with no license or certifications yet is against the law and just putting the residents unsafety. and one more, its so dirty. cockroaches running in the residents rooms and restrooms. other CNA's leaving this facility because of the stupid bosses. i will never recommend this facility. 0 Star

Experiencia negativa: If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would. The staff is unprofessional and seem to have communication issues. Always giving the run around and never gives a straight forward answer. My cousin was in Shoreline because she had a neck surgery and needed intense physical therapy everyday. The first few months seemed to be OK. But as time went on, she would say the nurses would take a long time, when she would call for them. They were rough when cleaning her up. I received a call day before yesterday that my cousin was in the hospital, mind you from a family friend not SHORELINE!! I instantly rush over to where she was. To find out she had been there for 5 days, by herself. I could not believe what i had seen, her hair was tangled and already turning into a dread and her teeth were caked with a black film of some sort. She was incoherent and delusional. When we had seen her a month ago, she was not in this state, MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY. We are devastated and upset at how neglectful the staff are and how they never communicated with us. When they notice her sudden personality change. I feel as if they are not telling us the whole truth. But we will get the bottom of this. I would not recommend anyone leave their loved ones here. they do not care for the patients one bit.

Experiencia negativa: My sister was in there just for one day and they didn't give her insulin and she went into shock and they would not call an ambulance my niece had to call 911 and now my sister is critical ... you are all going to hell!!!

Experiencia negativa: The workers here are extremely rude, nasty, and unprofessional, they stole my grandpas wallet and washed his phone in the laundry and it ruined his phone and whenever I tried to call the hospital they would hang up on me and ask me where his phone was to which i replied "you guys washed it and broke it" and they just hung up again, he was always thirsty and sedated. Very mean people and im glad we got out in time

Experiencia negativa: This place is the worse nursing home in the world. They physically abuse the patient, mistreating patients, and the dirtiest place. I feel they were the reason my father past away due to not caring or taking care of him when he need to be cared of. That place is Work by Asian people which I have no problem with Asian people but they do so much dirty stuff and they take care of each other to not get in trouble. I’ve physically seen care staff hitting patients. So word of advise do NOT PLACE YOUR LOVE ONES at that home if you don’t want them to live a longer life.

Experiencia negativa: Understaffed,some of the staff are good and overworked others are on their phones and hiding behind the curtains in empty rooms , there is not a good way to identify staff as they all wear what ever they want . Most issues seem to be the lack of management directing their staff . I walked up to nursing station to be greeted with “ what do you want” completely unprofessional. I am not unsympathetic to what they do all day , but having seen it done better it is upsetting. The therapist are really good and attentive and care more than some others.

Experiencia negativa: I visited my friend, he was highly sedated. He has said many times hes not in pain, so why would they then Medicate him. He was extremely thirsty an wanted a soda, i asked the attendant if he could have one, he said we dont have any here, i asked how about juice, he said we dont have that here either, all we have to give them is water. I'm shocked since juices are full of vitamins & commonly given in medical facilities , that they dont have any to give to their patient's. The patient in the bed next to him also appeared heavily sedated as well as patients sitting in wheelchairs in the hallways and patients in other rooms that i saw as i entered and exited. I'm not quite sure what type of care they really give. Friends that have visted him on other days have said the same thing in regards to the patients looking like they are in a zombied state, heavily sedated. Since we all went on different days and times, it appears our friend is kept that way round the clock .

Experiencia negativa: I was in Shoreline for 10 months there are some cna,s that are caring kind helpful the nurses are just pill pushers could care less about important things if your under another health care org when they go home at 5 pm if you ask or need something can't help you your under say vetox you will have to wait til they come back tomorrow what kind of b/s is that ? shoreline dosen't help anyone under another care giver they don't even help them when the care giver is there its as if they aren't there administrtion people are the wors't your just there for the money i seen it where pashents need something all they get is drugged with a sleeping pill so they don't have to listen to them theres more i could go on i just want some of this to be in the open nurses cna wear street clothes not uniforms you wouldn't know who they if you walked in not good my rating for shoreline is not even one star shore line needs new staff the employs run the place not the staff always texting on the phone people need help don't get it right away because people on there cell phones must be more important shore line should be looked into thank you

Experiencia negativa: worst place ever!!! We to see my grandmother and her lunch was sitting untouched and COLD. I had to ask for them to take it and bring her something warm to eat. I took them over an hr and still no food. They dont even try to feed the elderly that cant move. Makes no sense. Very unorganized and lots of people working but doing nothing!!

Experiencia negativa: This was the most horrifying experience ever. The place smelled like urine, the furniture is broken and the staff looked like the death squad. We seen feces on the floor that had been stepped on. My mother was taken there because her worthless case manager Kathy said she tried looking for a place and this was the only bed available. I demanded that my mother be returned to the hospital. The patients were not being attended to, do not leave your people there.. the staff was sitting around the nurses station watching tv, while the patients were hanging off of the beds. This place is a thumbs down does not even deserve a Star! Filthy
