Experiencia fantástica: We just moved my husband into a Life Care center of Aurora and they were great in responding to us and attempting to make my husband comfortable. All the staff have been great, especially head nurse the majority of the time we were there, Esther! But we have nothing but compliments on how my husband was treated, how he grew through through pt/ot and not only was his food good as well. Everything has been awesome

Experiencia negativa: I would give 0 if I could. Do not go here. Soiled potty pads get reused in other patients. Unsanitary, dangerous place to be after a surgery for sure. The entire place has a smell of decomposing to it as well. This is not a place to ever send anyone. My daughter had to call 911 just to leave the place because it was so unsanitary and I spent a week in an emergency room until they found another care facility for me to go to. After having a spinal surgery I couldn't have those unsanitary conditions & risk infection.

Experiencia fantástica: My mother stayed at this facility for over 2 1/2 years. She passed away at the age of 89. The care she received from the nurses and nursing assistants was superb. I am not going to try and say that everyone was perfect. There was an occasional instance where a CNA was a little too rough or a specific individual misbehaved. Any time I had a criticism of the behavior or treatment a CNA or staff member gave my mother, I could take it up with the social services director Ashley Lumpkin or one of the unit managers like Alanta, Rahel or Fatima and they immediately and conclusively addressed the problem and extinguished it. Aside from the rare instances of a serious problem, the CNA's and RN's were incredibly professional and loving in the care they gave my mother. The mostly female staff were extremely caring and gentle in their treatment of my mother. I should get the entire staff roster, but to name a few: Zheni, Shiva, Terhaus, Tadalish, Yolanda, Selamawit, Shayla, Lindsey, Tigist, Manuela, Barbara, Remi, Pavon, Beza, Teruwork, Mina, Shawaya, Andrea, TG, Candy, Marquisa, Carissa, Sana Lee, Chulie, Sarah, Aurora, Asha, Trihas, Dnite, Alice, Charlene and really the rest of the CNA and RN staff which included a few males including Dawid and Abebe, Bereket, Getachu. The maintenance manager who has since left for another job knocked himself out to get my mother a brand new air-conditioning unit. They treated my mother with the same respect and concern that they would have given to their own mother.

The caregivers were kind and respectful, and the residents looked happy and well cared for. It was a heartwarming experience, and I truly appreciated the peaceful and caring atmosphere.

Experiencia negativa: My mom was here about 5 years ago after her stroke and her time being there still haunts me. My mom suffered a bad stroke and the hospital had her moved here and it was horrible. The only plus was the physical therapists were amazing but the rest of the staff was horrible. My mom could not walk on her own and needed help with her day to day activities. Once my mom was going to the bathroom and the staff left her on the toilet after she was done for about 30 minutes because they were “busy”. My aunt got my mom an iPad as the bigger screen would help her, within the first week of her having it the staff was moving it, dropped it, and cracked the screen. Never did they offer to pay to fix it or replace it. The case manager that was there NEVER returned any phone calls. It was horrible. Luckily my mom was able to come home but my heart hurts for the people that are stuck there

However I have witnessed his roommate being ignored when he needed to be dresses so he can get to his PT. Today my husband was refusing to ring the nurse when he needs to use the bathroom because no one bothers to show up. Then he needs his clothes changed because of the mess. I ended up helping him in the bathroom while waiting for someone to show up after he did ring for them.

I am surprisingly impressed with the facility (which is a renovated Marriott hotel) and quality of healthcare they provide to their patients. also thankful for how accepting this place is, compared to so many others that are difficult to get into and have limited access. this place has been a life-saver for my mom and I couldn't be more relieved and at ease knowing she's in their care. she loves it there too. 5 stars from me

Experiencia fantástica: My mother who is 93 was in The Life Care Center of Aurora 3 times during May and June 2024. The staff was competent and vary caring. PT and OT were excellent. The administrative staff was very helpful. Case management was exceptional. My mother experienced good results and is now back in her home at assisted living. Experiencia fantástica: Can't say enough about this place. My grandmother has some heart issues and was given 3-6 months to live. She was moved here after she was released from the hospital (they were living in their own in an apartment before then). That was well over a year ago. My grandmother is healthier and happier than I have seen her in a very long time. She is almost unrecognizable. You have given me my grandma back. Thank you!!!!!!!!!

Experiencia fantástica: Just moved my mother-in-law from one of their Sister facilities so that she would be closer. The care they give at Lifecare Center Of Aurora is absolutely exceptional. The Staff at the facility is very welcoming and very persistent about giving updates in regards to My mother-in-law‘s care. The facilities smells absolutely wonderful and is very well kept. I don’t think I could’ve chosen a better place for her to be.

Experiencia fantástica: Clean as always. Lunch looked good and Mom enjoyed it. she said it was almost warm today. Her food is generally cold before she gets it and she really does not like that. That might be something that could be corrected. Not sure how but they should be able to get their food while it’s warm or hot if it’s supposed to be.

Experiencia fantástica: I’m writing this review as a family member of a patient enrolled in your short-term rehab. The medical staff and administration are so kind and compassionate. They have been patient and understanding with every request and have shown exceptional care for my mother. Sandra, Shife, T, and Hanna (to name a few) are all very committed care providers who go above and beyond what is expected to make their patients feel loved and valued. I would have never expected to see my mom in a place like this, but the staff members have been a beacon of light in this dark and uncertain time.

Experiencia fantástica: My 90 y/o mom was just admitted today after an inpatient hospital stay. I was pleased with the ease of transfer from UCH to this facility. Jennifer in admissions was fabulous and gave me an extensive tour. She only arrived today, but so far, so good!

Experiencia fantástica: My Mom has been at LifeCare of Aurora about 15 times over the last 20 years for rehab after all of her joint replacement surgeries for rehab. She has also been there for rehab for recovering from the hospital. They have always taken good care of her and one favorite CNA that is especially good is Alice. My mom loves her and she really shows she cares for my Mom and I know she is in good hands when Alice takes care of her.

Experiencia fantástica: This was my first time to visit Life Care Center of Aurora. I visited as a volunteer and had a great experience. I came in through Gateway Christian Church to visit residents who were unable to get into church activities, or other programs. The staff were a treat to get to know. Very kind and friendly. Very clean and efficient facility. Those residents who were willing and agreeable for a visit received with open arms.. You can see the view of the mountains from many rooms.

Experiencia fantástica: My 95-year-old Aunt just moved into LifeCare of Aurora, CO, and is thrilled with her spacious room! The food is very well prepared and has “flavor,” which was very important to her.

Experiencia negativa: Run, do not walk away from this place. Tammy Sanchez, is a complete time waster, terrible candidate experience. I doubt she is even literate. They underpay for each position, and wonder why they cannot keep staff.

Experiencia negativa: Do not pay attention to that one-star rating, that would be an overstatement meaning they had one shining moment. This is hands down a - 5-star place. I have had the displeasure of having to stay for rehabilitation on 1 East. If it wasn't for 50 staples in my stomach I would just leave. I got twenty of the staples removed today and I can't get the others out quick enough. The contempt that a lot of the staff have for the residents and patients here is abysmal at best. The lead nurse or whatever his title is Abebebe or something like that wouldn't even talk to me instead he just moved away at a speed I couldn't keep up with and he knew he was doing it when he did it. The nurses use common things like ice to mistreat the residents and patients here and the nurses will sit back and act like they don't see or know what is going on. What they did with the water and the ice today was completely appalling and making people take their meds with dirty old water is so despicable I can't even pallet saying it. the other nurses and CNAs let it go on and stick together even the ones that are at the other nursing stations. The other manager T (that is her name) saw what was going on with the ice and water and did nothing as did the other nurses on 1 East the treatment that these staff dish out to the people who are unfortunate to have to be here is horrible, I liken it to a section of Hell that we have been put into for some unknown reason. when you look at their ads here and then see the reality it is comically over done in their ad, put on your good running shoes and face away from here and run as fast as you can. Myself I can't run but I have documented dates and times of these actions of the staff and have them written down and once I'm out of here I'm going to dictate them all and let everyone know exactly how they do things around here just 30 staples to go. When they do the bandages here, they are falling off within minutes, I've been here almost two weeks now and no one is willing to change my bed linens or even bring me the linens so I can do it myself. As I said run away as fast as you can and don't look back all the bad reviews can't even tell you how bad it is here. - 5 to - 10 stars and I think that is over rating. Oh yeah, I almost forgot when / if you come here to tour just pop in so you can see exactly how they operate and do it at meal time so you can witness the soggy food because they don't even fully remove the ice from on top of the drinks before the toss them on our trays so we have a 1/4 inch of water most of the time on our meal trays watering down the milks and drinks and food and condiments. I think I have had one warm meal since here and definitely never a hot meal but plenty of cold ones. if it wasn't the need for scuba gear, I would just order salads. It is 01/30/2024 and I just have another week to go I hope I can tolerate it long enough without escaping.

Experiencia positiva: Well...My sister and I had the unenviable task of having to seek help going forward with our dad as we are unable to care for him or allow him to be on his own. Life Care Center of Aurora was reccomended, and because of its proximity to my sisters house, we decided this was the best option for us. Since his arrival, the staff has been very helpful and also patient with us (dad). Dad had trouble adjusting to a new room but after listening to our concerns, we were able to have him moved. I cannot be more appreciative for the help and response we received. Also kudos to the staff for arranging a nice Christmas dinner complete with a choir!. Also, Karina couldn't be more appreciated!

Experiencia negativa: Would like to say that it is a great place. It used to be lovely, but COVID just brought it down all around. They're also in a terrible neighborhood now and our car was stolen right out of the parking lot. They have no cameras or anything which also makes me hate it because now I know that anyone can be around there doing whatever and they won't know anything about it. Not good to think that's where your loved ones are. If they give you another place to go. Go. Stay away from this place.

Experiencia negativa: It’s been almost ten years since I was a resident, but if I could rate this place with negative stars, I would. They did not like me and it showed. There were only a few good nursing assistants. My Mother had sent me a few items that went “missing” and I never got them back. Stay away from this place at all cost.

I saw a man who needed to have his Foley bag emptied sit for 10 minutes waiting. I also saw one roommate having to cut the other roommate’s food up because the staff did not have time

Experiencia negativa: Hollywood has a death grip on both nursing homes and rehabs, painting it as this dystopian nightmare where people go to give up. Working in this industry myself, I have to say, wow. This place is one of the most dreary I’ve ever experienced. There is a woman that works here named Laura. I’m genuinely worried about her mental health. Someone shouldn’t react in the ways she does when simple questions are asked to her. This goes beyond acting like a Karen. She is genuinely rude and reactive. Leading with emotions over logical thinking. I hope she gets a break or something, clearly there is something going wrong.

Experiencia fantástica: I could not be more happier of the service they provide here! I didn’t have to worry at all about the care that was given to my Grampa!! From the second we arrived we were greeted with nothing but warmth and smiles. The staff is amazing. The caregivers are off the chart loving. If you are looking for a place for your loved one, this is it!!! Many thanks!!
