Experiencia negativa: I can't believe how horrible I was treated ...I was crying out in pain everything I was moved and they gave me 1 injection for pain n did an mri and said it's just chronic lower back pain go see your Dr in next 2 days so I have been in bed for 5 days now and nothing is helping

Experiencia fantástica: My stay at Palmdale Regional was great. Everyone I came in contact with was very attentive, supportive, they explained every step of my procedure and recovery. I left feeling as if I didn’t know it was a hospital I would have just had a great 4 day vacation.

Experiencia negativa: I had an extremely disappointing experience at this hospital. I spent four hours waiting, during which I had bloodwork and a urine test done, but I left without any answers or treatment. The communication was poor, and I felt like my concerns weren’t taken seriously. For the amount of time I spent there, I expected at least a diagnosis or a clear explanation of the next steps, but instead, I left feeling confused and unwell just as when I arrived, if not worse. This unfortunately isn’t my first time having this experience which is the reason for this review. I wouldn’t recommend this facility based on my experiences.

Experiencia negativa: Terrible service! Brought my daughter in for services because she is sick. It took your staff two ours to see my child and another hour to get a chest x-ray and another hour just to do a swabs. After speaking with your charge nurse Alycia to find out what’s taking so long for results. She stated, “ that they were waiting for the chest x-ray results to be read by the radiologist.” As a healthcare professional it doesn’t take two to four hours for a simple chest x-ray to be read. The swabs should’ve been done right away due to the fact there is a 90 minute turn around. Just a bunch of delayed responses for no reason. The ER WAS MOT busy at all when we got here. M dissatisfied with the service that my daughter and I have received.

Experiencia fantástica: Palmdale Regional saved my husband’s life. You got him in surgery quick inserted the stent. The staff was superb. ER was great and quick. The ICU. Was very caring and explained everything to us. The Telemetry department was great also . They help him being able to get released and come home. The cardiologist was excellent. Thank you everyone who helped us.

They could use a little bit of a morale pick up, but I totally get It. I would like to thank them for getting us in and out as fast as possible with medication’s that we needed. They also included a detailed report of all tests performed.

Experiencia positiva: I’ve had pleasant experiences with the staff but this last visit was awful. I was vomiting nonstop in the waiting room and my stomach was cramping so bad. They took my vitals and came out to give me gaviscon or something similar. I went and asked a few times when I could be seen because I was on the verge of shatting myself! I waited as long as I could and ended up leaving. Nobody called to check on me or update me with the bloodwork they did. It is currently day 2 and I have been vomiting nonstop still. I am hoping to get relief soon as I dread going back in to sit in the waiting room feeing this horrendous and nothing to come of it. I’m extremely dehydrated

Experiencia fantástica: I had to return to the hospital after complications from a surgery the previous day (12/5). From getting seen quickly for check-in to the nurses and staff, they were all wonderful. Due to the number of tests required, it took several hours, but the staff was great. Thank you to them!

Experiencia fantástica: I walked in to the ER with a terrible stomach pain on Saturday 12/07 at 12:30 am. I could see they were very busy and short staffed but even though they helped me as wickedly as they possibly could. Dr. JR in the ER explained the possible scenarios that could be causing my pain but I had to get a CT’scan and all my blood work done before he can give me anything for pain. Yes my pain was unbearable and I kept crying because of how strong it was. Nun the less, I was patient and waited for all the results to come back from the lab and the ctscann. Sure enough at about 6:00am I was diagnosed with an acute appendicitis and had to get surgery immediately. Dr.JR referred me upstairs to get a room and to have an emergency surgery scheduled. So it was at 10:30am when I got submitted to surgery and thank God by 1:30pm approximately, I was out. All this time I was given an excellent treatment by all the staff. Dr. Gamarra was my sergeant, him and all the staff were vary caring and supportive. The nurses in the room were all special and devoted to help me feel better. Nurse Victoria, Sophia, Cinthia and Rosa were all angels. Also everyone else who teamed with them. Thank you all very much for been such wonderful help and support through this difficult time. All I wish for is that your staff gets rewarded and appreciated for all their dedication and hard work.

Experiencia fantástica: I had the best care. Awesome nurses, M.A., everyone there are awesome. I can not mention how great the nursing staff is. The doctors were wonderful. Techs for all my studies were great and kind. If you ever need any care in the AV this is the hospital you want to be at. I can only say great things about this hospital!

Experiencia positiva: The staff was absolutely wonderful, hardworking, caring, and kind. Unfortunately they are not given proper time and resources by administration and are chastised for not going faster when they are already running from patient to patient to get everything done. It seemed like there were too many patients for each staff member - to where they didn’t have time to go to the bathroom! How can we expect these wonderful humans to care for us patients if they get into trouble or don’t have the time or coverage to care for themselves when they need water, bathroom, or to sit down for a minute to regroup? Burnout is real, take care of your people.

Experiencia positiva: Saturday night, vomiting for 3 days, psych drug voluntary withdrawal, no available beds. BUT, the Dr saw me, gave me an I.V. fluid bag and anti-nausea drugs. Solved my issues and discharged me within 4 hours! Excellent care. Thank you! All nurses and techs were super compassionate and kind!

Experiencia negativa: After passing out, hitting my chin on the counter and head on the hard tile, I passed out and woke up to being loaded on stretcher. When I arrived to the hospital they quickly took me back but things went downhill from there. The afternoon nurse was so busy trying to get male attention, not once did she check on me, but had me wait 5 hours for a mild pain medicine for my head and I was extremely dehydrated which was also not relayed by her. So she leaves for the day, doesn't say anything although I expressed while sitting there I felt faint again and that was also not relayed. So the next shift nurse, Maddie, was AMAZING and truly helped me. At the time of discharge is when they gave me pain medication which was unbearable for 5 hours then I had to tell the doctor I wasn't comfortable going home and I have a history of getting overwhelmed with anxiety then hot and faint. It wasn't until then he gave me the fluids I needed and I felt much better after. Then the lady with the purple hair was unbelievably unprofessional!! She was making fun of homeless people and complaining and cursing non stop about work. I'm in pain, trying to wake back up, nobody wants to hear all that!!! The evening nurses were amazing!! The afternoon suck bad!!

The careteam was good in examination and gave me medication and injection which is helping me get through this difficult time. Thank you so much. When people hurt one thing counts also the waiting time. I like it I was out ASAP.

Experiencia positiva: Obviously visiting the ER I was not doing well, but my entire experience from the moment I was greeted by security was pleasant, The triage nurse, the med tech, Crystal LVN, Dean, Dr Frutose, the young lady that performed my ultrasound, even that young vampire (phlebotomist) they all helped make a tough painful situation bearable

Experiencia fantástica: I had to go to another area ER a few weeks ago and the two experiences were night and day. The first experience consisted of me waiting approximately 4 hours in a waiting room that was not clean at all (trash was everywhere including some containing bodily fluids), I never saw a physician nor had any conversation about my diagnosis and treatment plan, and I got verbally attacked by an employee with a very nasty attitude because they were understaffed (thus the 5 hour wait). She wasn’t even involved in my care in any way whatsoever so she shouldn’t have been commenting on my care. I simply asked the nurse who was actually assigned to my care and who was about to give me like 3 shots, if it took 4 hours for 3 pre-sealed vials of medication to arrive from their pharmacy. I do not know who this other person was or her title but my question obviously touched a nerve deep down inside because her behavior was totally unacceptable and unprofessional. You can refer to my review before this one. Now let’s move on to my experience at Palmdale Regional. From the time I got there, until the time I left, everyone I encountered was very helpful, professional and compassionate. For example, the security guards saw my daughter come in to get a wheelchair and two of them came out to see if she needed help. I saw Dr. Villacorta within 30-45 minutes of checking in who came out to do an assessment. He then informed me of what his plan was and how many patients were before me. There was also a very rude family member of a patient who made threatening statements so when it was my turn to be seen Dr. Villacorta came out to get my family and I to ensure we made it safely to the room used for my procedure. The entire visit lasted no more than 2 hours by 4 hours I was back home in my bed sleeping. It is also important to note that Dr. Villacorta performed a procedure that I had not been able to get done not only during my visit to the other area ER room but via my own health care provider. Last, the facility was clean from the waiting room to the room used for my procedure. I live in California City and I will gladly drive past the other area ER and go to Palmdale Regional. The Green Room ER team was awesome as well as security and the initial assessment nurses.

Experiencia fantástica: My husband received excellent care with his pneumonia. All were so courteous and thorough. They even set me.up to sleep there one night. I was so pleased with how accommodating they were. My husband has been in and out of there a handful of times ever since his motorcycle accident and every single time the experience has been so positive. So grateful. And some of the nurses even prayed with us. Please always allow that, means everything when it spontaneously happens. God bless you all who work at Palmdale Regional. We are very thankful.

Experiencia fantástica: Our reason for being at this hospital was sad and emotional but, ALL of the staff was very professional, kind and compassionate! They went out of their way to be accommodating. I would definitely recommend this hospital!

Experiencia negativa: I checked in at 9:30 am with pain and they applied some pain medicine until 3:30 pm. The hospital si dirty and the nurses do not care or listen to you. They took for ever to do an ultrasound. The results were given two hours later. So I was there from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm. This is a horrible place to go for health issues. I did not even bother to take pictures of the place, because I was in pain that I just wanted to go home.

After three hours wait to see a doctor I was inject with morphine and had an allergic reaction would cause me to have a hives all over my body then I had to wait another hour after I had to ask three times for a nausea pill . If you’re looking for somewhere to go to Dai, pompano regional would be the place

Experiencia negativa: This HOSPITAL WAS THe WORST OF THE WORST. Physician and staff lack of sympathy to patients. Tonight was the worst night ever. I regret telling my son to go here and have him check because of all these stroke signs and symptoms he is having. But they dismissed him and said it wasn't nothing serious and not a stroke. How can you determine it wasnNt stroke when you only do lab work and ekg and dOesn't even get the results yet. You can check the lab work to know why he is having all these symptoms. But he still needs to have a scan just to be sure, and just because he can still move his arms and legs that means he is okay. allowing the Patient to go home and discharged him without knowing nothing about the results of his Lab test wasn't acceptable. Who does that? Hospital staff that dOesnNt give a damn about other people's health. Do Better Palmdale . Employees at the ED need to have more compassion and heart. I found it to be heartless for them to treat my son how they treated him tonight, I read all yelp reviews and this hospital has too many worst reviews ever. I’’m not surprised. I’m saddened to know that this hospital or should i say employees of this Hospital has no sympathy and compassion.

Experiencia fantástica: Great experience, Dr.Ma performed a lumbar laminectomy and spinal fusion surgery on me November 14th, his team took good care of me and made sure my recovery pain was manageable, I was discharged and able to go home within 3 days of the surgeries.

Experiencia fantástica: Best hospital I've been at. Super clean, friendly stuff, fast. And most importantly, the nurse practitioner was very assertive with the diagnosis and medicine she prescribed. The same day I felt a lot better.

Experiencia negativa: We were put in a room without a bed and with only one chair. The floors hadn't been washed and there were dead bugs littered in the corner. After all that there was an issue with billing and they sent us to collections without having the proper address.

Experiencia negativa: Initially care was acceptable for our extended stay. Day shift nurse was not very pro active and didn't communicate much about the status of our stay. Unless I asked about what's going on...he wouldn't communicate. I asked questions about a test requested by a Dr. After questioning what the test was for and asked why there is no comminication,, the day nurse and his staff came by even less and calls to the nurses station lagged in response. He made it clear what care my wofe would be getting from him and his day team. The night nurse was very much on point making my wife feel comfortable and cared for. Is this typical from the staff?? Once i questioned what was going on and why the test were requested, my room was essentially black balled. No one stopped by. Calls took very long for a response. And even less communication than before I will be filing a formal complaint.

Experiencia negativa: DOCTOR CHEN and DOCTOR NAFOOSI DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR PAITENTS. Please if you have a senior going to see them CHANGE DOCTORS. They have let TWO of their patients symptoms go untreated and unchecked to the point of no return. Dr. Nafoosi said my grams was just getting old when she came and complained about her loss of appetite, aches, forgetfulness, and more. It turned out she had end stage cancer. Dr. Chen (The surgeon/doctor of this hospital) was supposed to treat my uncle for a wound that involved his intestine coming out. He had been dealing with it for about A YEAR, only to find out (From a RANDOM ER DOCTOR) that he actually has an aggressive form of cancer and the "intestine" that doctor chen SAID he had was actually a tumor. Had any of these people DONE THEIR JOBS who knows how much more time our family would have had with them. This is not an isolated incident. DOCUMENT EVERYTHING. Please, go with your family to their doctors appointment ESPECIALLY to this "doctors office." Shame on you guys.

Experiencia negativa: Not very happy with the wait time and service. I took my elderly mother who was in pain, she was treated and we waited with no communication on what we were still waiting for. After 6 plus hour of being at the hospital I requested for my mom to be discharged and I was told the Dr. was waiting for another doctor that treated my mom 8 months ago which I could not understand since they have her records there. I ended up taking my mom home. I thought it was ridiculous that it took so long and who knows how much longer we would’ve been there. I expected to be there no more than 3 hours. I am very disappointed, I have taken my parents there before and the experiences were very good.

Staff was super kind and friendly, and they made me feel like I wasn't just another number to them. Overall great experience and if I need to go to the hospital this will be my number one spot in the AV.

Experiencia fantástica: I think that was the fastest time at the ER Got there got called and put in a room probably 5,minutes the Nurse practitioner came in I already knew what was wrong so he got the Nurse to give me medicine before I left maybe a half hour tops that part of the ER was not busy you at all I think it's better to have the not serious patients in a different part of the hospital so that way there's no complaints saying I was here first or what's taking so long but I was in and out of there real quick feeling better already thanks to the nurse practitioner with the curly mustache LOL

During shift change I was totally forgotten about all I can hear were nurses complaining about each other not doing their job and ignoring patients. I was discharged with someone else’s paperwork whom was a completely opposite sex than I. Very unprofessional very disappointed

Experiencia negativa: I will give only one star , cause it was my first time on this hospital and I didn’t like the staff they don’t treat me right.The doctor was great. You have to go to different places. Check in , admitting. They call you so many times with a loud voice. I didn’t really like it . I whent only because my private insurance told me to go there .

The nurses assigned to me were the most professional compassionate awesome communication and tentative and I was extremely comfortable with the care I was given. Shout out to Rachael and Kaylee. My sincere thank you for everything on making my stay much more tolerable than I ever imagined.

Experiencia negativa: If I could give zero stars I would. When I checked into the ER on September 30, 2024, they took my blood pressure which was extremely high. It was so high they asked me if I felt dizzy or had a headache. When I said no, nothing else was said or done. After I saw someone who introduced herself as a 'provider' (she didn't give me her name), she asked me a few questions, then told me there was nothing they could do for my health problem except take ibuprofen. Either she didn't bother looking at my check in form or didn't care that I have high blood pressure (ibuprofen raises blood pressure). I asked her were there any other treatments for my problem besides a pain med. I also asked her about physical therapy and she said no, there were no other treatments. When I pressed for more information she said if she was me she would see her primary care physician. I looked up my condition and of course there are other treatments and physical therapy. She did not even give me a printout of things I could do to help my problem. She showed me in every way possible that she didn't care, including not coming all the way in the room and leaving quickly.

Experiencia fantástica: Thank you Palmdale Regional Health Center for one of the best experiences I have had at the emergency room. I am new to the area, and I try to avoid the E.R., because of the long wait times and prefer to see my primary doctor instead. However as soon as I arrived, in the evening, at the E.R., things went quickly and smoothly at intake. I really like how they have streamlined the process. Within the hour, I saw the doctor and she ordered tests I needed done. All of the medical staff were professional, helpful, and patient with me. They took the time to accommodate my needs without rushing me off because they were busy. The doctor was thorough and went above and beyond to diagnose and treat my condition. In the past, many of my E.R. visits seem to drag on and takes up half of my day waiting, but this was not the case at Palmdale Regional Health Center. Outstanding, excellent service!

Experiencia negativa: If I could give 0 stars I would. Worst hospital ever. Took my husband here for a procedure and was told to wait for him to get prepped and I would be able to go back and see him. The staff didn’t not come back or even give me status on what was going on. For over 1 hour I had no idea what was going on until my husband texted me it was over. Also the dr did not follow up with us and told the nurse he wasn’t going to speak to us. Worst place ever. Stay away.

Experiencia fantástica: I had to come back to the ER for a second visit yesterday and the Nurse Practitioner, Thesaura Wheaton was fantastic. I received very comprehensive treatment for a chronic cough and I feel 70 percent better today. I was also seen very quickly. The entire staff was top notch.

Experiencia fantástica: The staff was extremely accommodating, professional, patient and understanding. I felt like I was the only person they had to care for. Dietary and PT took time explaining and working with me so that I felt like they had no other concern but me. I have never experienced patient care at this level. This was an amazing visit for me that I hope others will experience should they need a hospital stay. Other hospitals could take a lesson from Palmdale Regional.

Experiencia fantástica: I'm really greatful for palmdale hospital they were very attentive from the time i went to emergency until the time i was discharged. I was on the 1st floor my nurses, C.A's, students doing their internship and even the janitor' were amazing. They were very mannerly, kind and helpful on both shifts. Day shift there was Nelson, Alexa and Tiyana . Night shift Claudia, and Cindy i couldn't ask for better people. It's very hard to find people that are willing to do their jobs let alone be so kind and thoughful to others. I will definitely refer people to to Palmdale hospital. That is definitely my hospital as long as i live in Lancaster ca.

Experiencia fantástica: I’m not a local but was well taken care off by the staff at Palmdale Medical Center from my surgery start time entering the hospital the guard was pleasant and understood that it was my first time there. Experiencia negativa: I just walked out of this “EMERGENCY ROOM” because the black nurse with curly hair & glasses in the green waiting area dropped a patient’s medication tablets on the floor and she really had him pick them up & take them he was an older white man, she then was talking to another nurse about a confusion of medications she had given to 2 other patients she wasn’t sure who she gave what to & I didn’t want to take my changes given medication off the floor or the wrong medication & Yes I will be calling the Medical Bureau because this is definitely NOT ok ! All of this should be on their security cameras.

Experiencia negativa: I saw the student RN rushing during the process and I ask him to slow down and aviced him this was a sensitive area he was working on due to the inlarge prostate. During the insertion he rammed the capitor and disregarded my advice. Later I ask my he did that, he said, "it would be less plain". Ramming the capitor the way he did, he could have injured me because of the inlarge prostate. And he laughed at me and left.

But this time i was really really bad with a strong bleeding and infection in my uterus consecuence as bad mal practice from my obstetra , So when the ambulance arrive to the ER i was in waiting time like 10 minutes and every nurse and doctor here do everything in charge to save my life, First God and second all these angels to help me very fast. Thank you very so much and God Bless if u have a real emergency they will do everything to help you

Experiencia fantástica: I went last night Sunday and they were wonderful to me. They sign me up in 2 minutes and I waited 10 minutes to be called by the triage nurse. He was so sympathetic to how bad I was feeling he assigned me a room right away, he didn't even let me go back to the waiting area. He took everything I told him seriously and sent me to be seen. The other nurses and the staff were polite and fast to help me. The Dr was there quick. I was treated and given my options and then I went home. I arrived at 10pm and was home by 11:45pm for an E.R visit that was awesome. This is the 2nd time I have been there the 1st time for another visit and it wasn't as quick but quick for an er and everyone was amazing then too. 10/10

Experiencia negativa: I was literally a prisoner in my room. I wasn't allowed to go outside without 5 security guards asking me what I was doing. No one showed up at my home to change my bandages.

Experiencia positiva: My husband had outpatient surgery through City of Hope Urology. The surgery was successful. My husband was released to a room on the ground floor for observation. I noticed that there was blood from the night before when my husband went to the bathroom. The dark blood had dried on the toilet and was also in the toilet. I mentioned to the nurse to have housekeeping come in but, I don’t think it happened

Experiencia positiva: Your staff is very nice. I did have issues with my diabetic meds after surgery. Before surgery it was 121 with no food after 8 the night before. After my surgery it was 198. The post op kept saying over and over between 3 to 6pm we are moving you to a room and they will get your meds for you. I get to my room at 6 and now told by the staff meds not ordered till 10pm. I explained I take my metformin at 5 pm and insulin at 8pm and that my sugar is high last time it was checked @198. I felt like I had to beg for my diabetic medicine because we know anything over 160 affects your arteries and organs. It gave me great anxiety. Finally at 8pm I was given 1 metforman, only I take 2. I was told that's what was ordered even though I had told pre check in , reviewed again with various nurses etc. again and again. So, now he has to call the doctor for the correct rx and about half hour later I got the 2nd dosage. The insulin they didn't have ordered either. Finally I got that dose at 10. No blood sugar test done when I got in my room because it wasn't ordered till 10. I feel they should have checked my sugar level because who knows how high it went after I had something to eat.

Experiencia negativa: Again this hospital is the worst I was brought here in December first off the emt chick was terrible she didn’t want to be held liable from what she said because I had to pee really bad the guy emt was trying to help but she just ignored me asking for the restroom. Then doctor sees me orders labs and never seen after that my husband comes it’s like 1 am I’m still in the hallway in a bed and apparently I was taken off their board and just left there. Not even discharged just taken off . Oh and by the way I was actually on the verge of going into organ failure thank you for ignoring me !

If I ever need to go back to Palmdale Regional Medical Center, I wouldn't hesitate. Will recommend to anyone who needs medical care.

Experiencia fantástica: This was my first visit as an outpatient at Palmdale Regional Medical Center (PRMC). I must admit the staff that attended to my care on day of the MRI were absolutely wonderful! I am highly claustrophobic, even with an OPEN MRI machine, but the anesthesiologist was very nice and professional, explaining each step which would be taken to have me under sedation, relaxing my somewhat nervousness. I will be writing and submitting letters of thanks for each one involved in each step of my visit at PRMC. The ones for which I have names (using only first names in this post, hoping I do NOT spell names incorrectly!) are Pre-Op nurse: Gabriel; Anesthesiologist: Dr. Juichung Hung; Recovery nurses: Danielle, and Daisy; and Transport: Nick. I know there were others, but those names I do not have. However, I do THANK them, also! My first time experience with PRMC's staff (all named and unnamed here), including Alicia in Radiology, and another lady who called and conducted a pre-op interview the day before the procedure took place were all wonderful experiences. I believe the unnamed lady was Sharon, or Karen? I'm sorry I can't remember her name, but I will discover her first name and properly give her recognition! I am thanking each and every person involved in helping me to bring this MRI procedure to its' completion! I had been trying since March of this year, to have this procedure done at another facility within walking distance to PRMC. This other facility seemed to cancel each scheduled appointment on the day of said-appointment. Thus, my journey that led me to PRMC, its' staff and final completion of the MRI! I've NEVER been more happy to reach the end of a medical procedure, and finally been able to put my full trust in the staff at PRMC! From the entrance to the exit, this was the ABSOLUTE WORST, most unprofessional, unharmonious, amateur, loud, indiscreet, inconsiderate, lazy and prejudice group of “licensed medicals” in any health facility I’ve ever experienced. If you want to leave more uninformed, untreated, undiagnosed and agitated than before you walked in, visit this Emergency site. The WRONGS are way too extensive to type.
