Experiencia fantástica: I am currently a college student studying to be a physical therapist and Muscle IQ is by far the best clinic I have interned with. Many clinics give the same treatments to each patient, no matter their physical challenge, and thus their patients' progress is limited to none. Dr. Knudsen spends a lot of time each session with his patients, and he creates personal treatment programs that maximize each patient's time at the clinic. He regularly evaluates their progress and adjusts the treatment to best help them improve. Dr. Knudsen invests a lot of money and time into learning the best and most advanced treatment techniques, and he provides the best equipment available for patients to use. I have not found a better physical therapist and clinic than Dr. Knudsen at Muscle IQ, and I do not believe you will either. If you actually want to improve, please go to Muscle IQ.

Experiencia fantástica: I am a future Physical Therapist who worked as an intern for Dr. Knudsen. When I discovered that Dr. Knudsen's intervention differed from that of most other physical therapists, I was curious to find out how well it worked. I decided the best way to find out was to ask the patients themselves. As a new intern, I was constantly asking the patients about their results with Dr. Knudsen. Nearly every one of them told me that their results had been amazing. Most of them had been to other physical therapists before with much less success. I was blown away myself with how passionate and grateful they were toward the doctor and his work in helping them have happier, pain free lives. I now know what kind of intervention I want to implement when I have my own PT clinic.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been to several physical therapists, chiropractors, pain specialists, and other doctors for my chronic pain issues. Muscle IQ is easily the best. There is hand-on treatment every visit which is amazing. Dr. Chris was the first doctor I've been to that fully listened and new exactly what was going on. I've found so many answers here that I wasn't finding anywhere else.

Experiencia fantástica: BEST PLACE EVER. Hey you! Ya you who just got injured and you are looking for a good place to heal you up. If that’s you, you gotta go here. Doc Chris is super knowledgeable, and kind. I went in with a messed up leg and back from a hiking accident, expecting to have go to through a ton of pain. Turns out I didn’t have to suffer in pain too much. His goal is to heal you up, not make you hurt. The staff is super cool and chill. Daniel, Lane, Brooke, Emily, (sorry forgetting names now.) Are super supportive, understanding, and passionate about helping others. I healed up way faster than expected. I went in on crutches with a lame leg, and a messed up back and shoulder. Now I’m back to running and lifting. And sooner than expected. You have to go!!

Experiencia fantástica: I started at Muscle IQ as a desperate measure because I needed surgery for a torn plantar fasciatis but the hospitals had just closed down due to covid. Not only did Dr. CHRIS and REBEKAH keep me from having to have surgery but when my foot was healed I asked them to help my chronic low back pain and lifetime issue with migraines. They are putting me back together from a lifetime of abusing my body! All the techs, front-office staff Halley, billing specialist Melissa, are all great and easy to work with.

Experiencia fantástica: 4 things that are really outstanding about Muscle I Q : 1- Is Howard — he uses diagnostic and treatment techniques that are truely unique . In my 89 years I have had a lot of P T but none as fine as his. 2- The David Machines that identify and target under lying issues that move you to having quiet posession of your entire body and strengthen you so you don’t have so many falls and injures. 3- The staff that takes care of everything from scheduling to reminding. Insurance works the best of any place and the P T staff is just excellent and supportive. 4-A lovey new spacious facility

They have been and are still fabulous! We have been physically helped, until we are now much looser and more able to move and function properly. They are a friendly staff, but much more important is that they have the skill needed to help us become strong and independent again. Hooray!!

Experiencia fantástica: Great physical therapy in Orem Utah! I've been going here for physical therapy for a while now. LOVE working with Dr. Chris and Rebekah. They're always attentive and listen to my needs and work to address symptoms as well as the root cause of the problem.

Experiencia fantástica: I've been seeing drs for my pain since I was in elementary school. I've been everywhere and tried everything, including several visits to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. They were helpful with finding a diagnosis, but I needed help living my day to day life. Since coming to Muscle IQ I have visited grocery stores without the help of my wheelchair, and I have been able to begin gardening again! I truly feel listened to and am provided with help and support as I deal with my chronic pain. Not only have they helped me physically, but I am learning to deal with my pain by changing my mindset as well.

Dr. Chris, and sometimes Rebekah, spent 30 min., with me each visit, treating me and designing an exercise program. Brittany and Rebekah and all the other team members were wonderful at teaching me those exercises. Highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: In the last 2 years, I’ve had multiple doctors and cortisone injections, 3 different physical therapist clinics, 3 MRIs and 2 different shoulder surgeries. My range of motion improved a bit but the pain and weakness had not. I decided to look for a physical therapist with a more hands-on approach instead of just an exercise routine. Dr. Howard Knudsen was professional and listened to my whole history. With every visit he asks questions to fine tune a solution to my problem. He figured out that a 30 year old injury elsewhere in my body is causing the shoulder problem. Five weeks ago my shoulder’s pain and weakness was 100%. Now I can move and do a lot of things pain-free. This therapy is not a quick solution but I think my health will be in a better place when I’ve finished. Update: 5 months later, shoulders have about 5% pain, and full range of motion. My 30 year old injury is almost completely healed. I’m still working with the doctor to increase my strength but that is a slow process because he doesn’t want me to reinjure myself. He strengthens the small, deep muscles first. I’m still impressed with the doctor and with my progress.

I’ve been to other places and they don’t even compare to the treatment I get here. They find the cause of the pain and treat for everything. The staff is very friendly. Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been a patient at Muscle IQ twice now. Once for an auto accident and then for persistent pain from pregnancies. Dr. K and Rebecca have gotten rid of pain in my hips and neck that doctors and chiropractors had told me for years that I would just have to live with! I highly recommend their practice!

Experiencia negativa: Good Therapists. Machines okay but they had a machine that was snapping when weightlifting being a major risk for injuries. When I told them about it they downplayed it. You would expect more from a THERAPY clinic where you go to deal with your injury.. To make matters worse, they would not allow me to start my session before I prepaid for the visit because my insurance would not cover anything. As if I don't have money or whatever. And although I waited every time to pay before I started, they reached out to me 3 months later to tell me that I owe them $150. I never owe money to anyone but anyhow, I decided to go there and ask them which dates are they referring to. Both dates they referred to there was a payment on my bank account of $75 that I showed them. They then had nothing to say other than "Maybe you did not write your name when you paid" as if I was paying with different credit cards every time. Very disappointed. Being already expensive and then seeking to take more money out of you.

I had seen a chiropractor for 9 months and felt some relief but was still experiencing pain. Dr. Chris and his staff helped me get back to my normal routine, taking care of my 14 month old daughter and got a job (and experience no pain) within 4 months of seeing them frequently. I’m so grateful for Muscle IQ and everything they did for me!

The doctors and staff take excellent care of you at all times giving you individual attention and instruction with periodic testing to assess your progress and continued needs. Experiencia fantástica: When I started going to Muscle IQ and working with Dr. Chris I was dealing with lots of low back and hip pain. I would had pain and numbness going down my leg after just a few minutes on a treadmill, elliptical or standing very long. Now the almost constant ache is gone. I do a lot more before the pain or numbness starts and it's not as intense. I'm still being treated but getting so much better. I was also dealing with a lot of headaches and they are rare now. My husband is also being seen for back and shoulder problems as well as our son after a auto accident. We are grateful to have had Muscle IQ referred to us.

Her knee pain got better, as did my headaches, neck and back pain. He’s incredibly thorough and works hard to figure out what’s going on. He’s different than any other physical therapist I’ve been to. I’ve referred numerous people to him and will continue to do so!

Experiencia fantástica: Since 2011 I have had episodes of lower back pain. I would think, "Oh, I pinched a nerve or pulled a muscle" and in a couple days it would go away. Then in August 2020 the pain was excruciating when I went from sitting to standing and I knew something was very wrong. I did NOT want to have surgery. A good friend recommended Muscle IQ and I'm so glad she did! My orthopedic doctor did a referral and I was on my way. I was very nervous because I had never been to physical therapy. The Muscle IQ team did a thorough evaluation and set up a program using modern David exercise machines, exercises, and manipulation of my fascial distortions. Dr. Chris is AMAZING! He explained everything and answered all my questions and concerns. I see him every time I go and I feel like I'm making wonderful progress. Simple everyday tasks that were causing horrible pain are now done with ease. His staff are great too! They are so kind and friendly! They help me remember the fine points of my exercises and are so willing to help if I forget how to use the David machines. I went from daily headaches to rarely having headaches and they have helped my back, feet, and more. Every person who works here is amazing and so personable and truly wants the patient to succeed. Experiencia fantástica: I had been suffering from back pain for several years and had done physical therapy several times. Each time it would work for awhile but the pain would come back. Muscle IQ helped relieve the pain and showed me how to stay pain free. They didn't "cure" my problem, they identified the cause, worked to improve my situation, and taught me how to take care of myself long-term. As long as I follow their plan I can do so much more with little to no pain.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. K is a miracle worker! I have seen him for back pain and sprained ankle, and it is amazing how much mobility he can provide so quickly. If you are in pain, this is the place to go, seriously! I tried a different physical therapy shop first, and it did nothing for my back pain, but Dr. Knudsen has been tremendously effective. He combines methods from around the world in an integrated plan that just works. I'm so grateful!

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. K is so skilled at what he does. He’s extremely knowledgeable about this technique and it’s the only relief I have had for my elbows in years. Recently I had a hip issue as well and with only one visit, I’m walking limp free after months of aching tight muscles. No chiropractor or deep tissue massage was able to even relieve for more than 48 hours. Before trying anyone else or anything else, go see him first, you won’t regret it!

Experiencia fantástica: I have been coming to Muscle IQ for almost ten years. I have tried other physical therapists, chiropractors, and many other things to help with my pain. None of those really helped me until I went to Dr K's office. I feel like a new person when I leave his office. I've had over nine reconstructive foot surgeries and suffer from an autoimmune disease that makes it difficult to move at times. I go for about a month or two every year to ease pain and recharge. I recommend Muscle IQ for anyone who needs to get mobile and ease pain.

Experiencia fantástica: I know some injuries take a long time to heal, but I was in a boating accident and a car accident and literally couldn't bend over to tie my shoe, after the first appointment here i was 50% better. After the third visit I felt well enough to go on a 35 mile backpacking trip that I had thought I would miss. I was blown away my how good this place was.

Experiencia fantástica: Within the first 3 visits I noticed a significant difference! I went in with knee and hip pain, Dr. K traced it back to an old neck injury. By working on my neck and back over the last 6 weeks, my strength and flexibility are dramatically improved (double and triple my original) and I am back to RUNNING and HIKING. I am amazed and grateful. Dr. K's approach has made such a difference.

Experiencia fantástica: Before coming to MuscleIQ I was told I might not run again, even with surgery. I went to MuscleIQ nine months after my injury and I was almost 100% recovered in two months. Since then I’m able to run 8-9 miles at a time and still feel no pain. Dr. K spends quality time helping each patient and his aides are fantastic. I talked to multiple patients there who went elsewhere first and only MuscleIQ had helped. Highly recommend.

Over the past 1 1/2 years I have received physical therapy for a fracture foot and 9 months later shoulder surgery. Dr. Chris and his well trained staff helped me regain mobility, range of motion and I became a fully capable person again! I've had PT years ago but not with the success that I had at Muscle IQ. Dr Chris is knowledgeable of conditioning needs, perceptive in planing, and I was always seen and evaluated by him each time I went. Experiencia fantástica: I had a great experience at Muscle IQ. The doctors & staff are incredibly personable and helpful. I love that the clinic specialized in Facial Distortion Model (FDM) therapy and saw immediate results after my car accident. To drive home the value I received from Muscle IQ, it's worth noting that I live in SLC but found it worthwhile to drive an extra 1.5+ hours per visit in order to visit their Provo-based practice. Again, great experience - I would highly recommend!

I went to Muscle IQ with very low expectations. When DR. Chris set up an exercise plan for me on those miraculous machines I was surprised that those machines could build muscle strength. They are not hard to use there is no pain, didn't break a sweat and took very little time. I was not left to my own resources. Someone was always right there to help and encourage. My family recognized improvement in my posture and strength. I felt like I was everyone's favorite client. I love the staff they were stellar. I love you Dr. Chris, Becky, Lael, and all of the great staff. I not only recommend, I rave about you. Thank you.

It has a very personal atmosphere where you know that you will receive great treatment every step of the way. The treatment plan was custom to my needs. My Dr would work on me every appointment and adjust treatment as necessary. The equipment is very high tech and with that you are able to see your progress. After a car accident, I was a “car wreck” and had daily pain and very limited range of motion from my neck all the way down to my hips. I felt awful. Over the last few months, Dr. Chris and his assistants at Muscle IQ have been able to restore my strength and range of motion. They use state of the art techniques and equipment during rehab. I’ve appreciated being able to see actual data on paper of how much my strength and mobility have improved from my first to my last visit at muscle IQ. I feel like it was a blessing that I was referred to muscle IQ after my car accident. If you need physical therapy for any condition, they are the place to go.

Experiencia fantástica: Absolutely, the greatest physical therapist I have ever been to. I worked with Dr. K and he helped me get my life back. Specifically he helped me to become pain free after have a couple lumbar disc bulges. I had gone to multiple doctors prior who told me that I would have to just live with my back problems for the rest of my life or they weren't sure why I had the back pain. I originally went to the BYU physical therapist, but after going to him once, I ended up going to the ER, because I was in so much pain. When I found Dr. K, I was very skeptical, because he was another physical therapist, but after seeing him once, he was the first medical professional to help me understand what was going on with my back, why I was in pain, and he even had a cool model. Then he set up a plan to get better. And it worked! Most of all, I started to finally see and feel improvement after the first treatment that he did on me. Come to find out Dr. K has gone all over the world receiving further certifications and learning new techniques beyond what your standard physcial therapist does and has imported machines from Europe that he has found works the best. I have recommended every friend who has back pain to Dr. K and every time each of them have come up to me and thanked me for sending them to him. Honestly, I am so grateful to have found Muscle IQ. It really has changed my life.

Experiencia fantástica: My wonderful physician sent me to Muscle IQ the day of my accident. I was given a warm welcome by the staff and Dr. Chris. My experience was always positive and therapeutic. Dr. Chris is a careful practitioner who really listens, investigates, and then works his magic! I still cannot believe how much time I was allowed to spend working directly with him and how my quality of life improved after the visits. I can walk without pain and lift my two precious granddaughters again! I appreciate how supportive the entire staff was. They made a difficult experience much more positive. Experiencia fantástica: Great experience. 10/10 Exceptional people that go above and beyond to truly help you get better. I've been to chiropractors, massage therapist, and even an orthopedic surgeon and nobody was giving me lasting relief. I feared that surgery was the only option. They do testing here at the facility to see what muscles need to be improved and since the body is interconnected. If a muscle is off, you might feel it affecting multiple areas. Definitely glad I went!

Its been almost a year since I've done the "facia" therapy they offer, I'm still using the stretches and education I received there and its sustained my shoulder. The staff is helpful and patient. I feel like they concentrated the time so every session I was able to notice progress and get stronger. It was a painful recovery but so worth it muscle IQ was there for me every step of the way. I liked the strengthening machines that recorded my progress it was encouraging to see the results. I recovered 100% of what I had before the accident and more thanks to Chris.

The one injury, as soon as it stopped progressing, Dr. Chris referred me straight away to a specialist. That helped a lot. They have been able to help me with injuries that I have been trying to fix for more than a decade. They have made major improvements. It’s a different style then the typical “here are your exercises go home and do all the work to fix them yourself” physical therapy and it works much much better.

Experiencia fantástica: Great experience at Muscle IQ. I was rear ended at a stop light and my back was injured from the accident. To make matters worse the driver who hit me didn't have insurance. Luckily MuscleIQ was able to work with my insurance company. I was refered to MuscleIQ by my doctor and they were pleasant to work with and made the process easy. They set up a plan personalized to my injury and were able to work with my difficult work schedule. They sent automatic text updates 24 hours before appointments so it makes it easy to follow. They also gave me exercises I could do at home for the days I couldn't make it in. I am glad I worked with their plan because my back feels so much better than when I first went in and I feel stronger.

Afterwards they ran some tests and figured out what exercises i should be doing and what ones would help me in rehab. Not gonna lie the first couple of visits sucked because i was in such pain but afterwards it started to get easier and easier because what they were doing actually worked. Not only did they put me on an exercise regiment and treatment routine, but they offered tips and suggestions to improve my health. I came into their office in severe pain and unable to walk due to muscle weakness after having my twins. Dr. Knudsen worked specifically with my problems and listened to my concerns. He is incredibly knowledgeable and knew exactly what therapies to do to increase my range of motion. He has sophisticated equipment that effortlessly strengthens the core as well as other muscles. Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Knudsen's PT clinic is not "just" another PT place; it is so much more. Dr. Knudsen is an expert in chronic pain and old injuries, and he has been able to help me so much. I've referred many friends to him, and he's been able to help them, as well. My advice: GO! But, if you go, be prepared to learn a lot, and be prepared to work hard (because getting better is hard work), be prepared to change your daily habits (you have to adopt the habits of a healthy person), and be prepared to get better. I've dealt with chronic pain for over 12 years. Despite lots of physical therapy, specialist visits, and surgeries, it had become steadily worse over time. No doctor could tell me what was really wrong with me, and they would all get to the point where they'd look at me with a really puzzled expression, and I could tell they didn't know what to do with me. Several doctors told me I needed to accept the fact that I wasn't going to get better, and I lost hope. Activity was painful, and I became less and less active. I stopped dancing, then I stopped working, then I stopped walking, standing, and sitting. Last summer, I'd gotten to the point where standing for more than 2 minutes was impossible, sitting for more than 10 minutes was excruciating, and I couldn't get out of bed. Last October, I read a book called The Anatomy of Hope by Jerome Groopman. I reminded myself that I had once been a smart person, I gave myself credit for having some intelligence, and decided that I was the only person who could get myself better. I started reading, researching, and tracking my progress. I started walking, very slowly and very carefully. My husband got me a Fitbit Charge HR, and I used it as a tool. I gave myself an "activity budget" every day, which helped me not overdo, and it helped me not underdo either. I started taking care of myself. In January, my husband's doctor told him about Dr. Knudsen, and I called to make an appointment. The person who answered the phone asked me to commit to come regularly, which I did. The moment I arrived, I realized this wasn't a traditional PT clinic. I remembered that my primary care doctor had tried to send me here a few years ago, and I went somewhere else because I didn't want to drive that far, and I wanted to kick myself for not going sooner! Dr. Knudsen and his expert staff taught me - through one-on-one discussions, books, stories, manual manipulation, exercises, and cardio - how pain works (the theory & science of pain), how and why a person ends up with chronic pain, how to separate the injury from the feelings of pain, and how to start moving again. My visits included one-on-one time with Dr. Knudsen or his other physical therapist, Holland, as well as exercise time. His exercise room is full of very expensive specialized equipment, including zero-gravity treadmills, all designed to safely help people like me re-learn how to do things I hadn't done in a long time, like walking, bending, and twisting. He helped me regain confidence in myself, which I needed when I started job searching. He and Holland helped me actually peel away years of problems in my muscles - softening and healing messed-up spots in my muscles he called Fascial Distortions, re-activating muscles that went dormant several years ago, and releasing muscles that were so tight they kept pulling my bones out of joint. I am not totally better yet. I am still a work in progress. I don't see Dr. Knudsen as often any more, but I still go occasionally - when my pain starts flaring up. I can't describe how comforting it is to know there is an expert nearby who can help me. To know that I can go get "all straightened up" when I start hurting again. I am a new person. But I am also an old person: I've found the "old me" hidden under all of those layers of physical and emotional pain. My husband sees the girl he married again. My kids have a new mom, because they never knew the "old me." I'm working full-time again, and continually surprised and amazed at how good I am at my job now.
