Parkview Medical Center: Opiniones
Experiencia negativa: Parkview medical center has some of the most rudest, stuck up nurses that act like they’re better than everyone else, specifically the ones on the 4th floor in ICU. You would think they would have common decency but nope. No respect for the patients what so ever.
Experiencia fantástica: I was admitted to Parkview in March 2024 when an MRI revealed a tumor in my brain. From the moment I arrived at the ER, through my surgery and recovery in NICU, I was very well cared for by compassionate and competent medical professionals. (As a bonus, the food was great--lots of variety, with many healthy and tasty options.) I am so thankful for this hospital.
Experiencia fantástica: My mom went in for surgery for a broken hip. Doctors did a great job. I would like to thank all the nurses and supporting staff of the 5th floor east. Each and everyone of them were absolutely awsome! Special thanks to her nurse Jamie for being such a great person and super nurse. Thank you all!!
Experiencia negativa: Labor and Delivery was not really a pleasant experience. Doctor's were from Southern Family Medicine which I don't care for. Indecisive and biased diagnoses opinions. My child got a broken clavicle and now my delivery is not covered by Medicaid. Rude and horrible place please avoid this place at all costs.
Experiencia negativa: Terrible hospital! There has been more than one scenario where they have mistreated my grandma. Nobody checks on her when needed, she has been left alone for hours on end. They are short staffed! There are a select few nurses who are incredible, it is not their fault their coworkers lack kindness and empathy and should NOT be in the nursing field. Sad excuse for a hospital.
Experiencia negativa: Parkview has become the biggest joke of a hospital ever. This hospital needs closed down
Experiencia fantástica: I've been coming here for the past few years (ER visits, infusion, breast screening) and every visit has been smooth and the staff always asks if I have any questions before I leave. The lady who runs the gift shop is super friendly as well. Thank you to all the staff for all you do.
Experiencia negativa: Worst hospital ever! Want to ER in 2022, very sick with pneumonia & influenza. Was there 4 days, got sepsis, and the worst care ever. I swore I'd never go back. Two nights ago, I was so, so sick and my husband took me to the ER there. The worst care ever. I only saw the doctor twice, they were short staffed, as usual, they lost my Covid test and had to do it over, and than they wanted to admit me!! I said NO! The doctor ordered oxygen for me & it was delivered. I was there in their ER for 14 hours! It's not the employees faults, it's management! They're short staffed!
Experiencia positiva: Why are UC health doctors insisting on potential new patients to fill out a medical release form before the primary care doctor would see them?. I asked and I was informed that the prospective doctor wants to be able to see if they will be a good fit. This seems to permit a way to discriminate against patients for a variety of reasons. It would be nice to cherry pick healthy young patients with no medical issues. My other thought is it that perhaps these doctors and physicians assistants are not fully qualified!
Experiencia negativa: Parkview hospital is complete trash and should be defunded . At this point I don't see how cms can allow them to continue to recieve medical funding .
Experiencia negativa: I’d like to thank Dr. Geiger. He did a fantastic job at telling me I’m stupid because I chose not to do immunizations on my kids because modern medicine is terrifying. And once you do the research on all immunizations out there. We chose not to. But Dr. Geiger decided to tell me I’m stupid for that and I’m playing with life or death and I’m choosing to risk my kids life and play cards with death for no reason. That’s exactly what I wanna hear when I’m in there with my 9month old baby who has Covid and RSV. I will likely not be returning to this hospital. Also the room they stuck me in was disgusting. There was a clear sticky liquid all over the floor. And there was blood on the floor as well (which can lead to blood/air borne diseases) that was never cleaned up and blood on the wall by the trash can too. And the cleaning ladies never touched it.
Experiencia negativa: I would like to thank the nurse for yelling at my husband who was brought in by ambulance and promptly brought into a hallway to wait for two hours. if you get brought in by ambulance, expect to wait a few hours why they decide if you need care or not and also be expected to understand that it’s acceptable for a man to be laid in a diaper on the floor of the hospital will be told that he is not a priority
Experiencia negativa: Had a very uncompassionate nurse that advice that even if you come by ambulance you are still allowed to wait in a hallway where they will come by and yell at you. I’m supposed to know that when you’re brought by ambulance you can lay in the floor and wait. Also nice side effect is the nurse yelling at you for being upset at the way they treat a patient that was brought in by ambulance. Also bonus points for sarcastically calling me honey. Gross
Experiencia fantástica: Thank you to the emergency room staff who treated an out of state relative involved in a serious auto accident. Aaron and Lindsey were among the fabulous team who made sure that both the driver and his dog were cared for until we could get to Pueblo from Castle Rock. Thank you.
Experiencia negativa: Absolute crap hospital! They botched my mom's surgery and a nurse stole her pain pills. Due to restrictions on narcotics my mom was forced to recover from this surgery with TYLENOL!!! They are pain pill thieves so watch it! They sent my mom back to that crap hole against my wishes because she was internally bleeding from the botched surgery and no one has kept contact or notified us of anything! I live away and couldn't go in the hospital I've been trying for 2 days to contact ICU to get an update or any word on my mom they never answer or they hang up. I spent a whole day just looking for her. I'm trying hard to get her moved to a better hospital and praying they don't steal her pills again.
Experiencia negativa: Possibly the worst hospital in Colorado. They continuously gave beds to people on drugs and people with minor issues. People with ACTUAL & GENUINE health concerns are less than an after thought. Disgusting and distasteful. When their emergency room was under construction they were more competent. As the years go this place gets WORSE. only giving 1 star so I could actually post this.
Experiencia negativa: They really are worse than a lot of people hear, for one I'm one to know this by the experience I've had there while my wife was in there for 4 of the worse months of our lives we've ever experienced in our lives so far. While my wife was there in ICU for 2 months we both caught 2 separate nurses taking my wife's pain meds while they thought she was sleeping and thought I wasn't paying attention. I called on my cell phone the charge nurse on duty and one of them called the nurse in to their office, talked with her (the nurse that did my wife's narcotic/pain killer) about the situation and sent her back in with a full dose for my wife Annie. They tried kicking me out of the hospital 3 times because I was there speaking for my wife and fighting for her rights as a patient barely even understanding what was going on a lot of times. There was a lot more other things that were happening wrong and I couldn't even find it afford an attorney to fight it.
Experiencia negativa: I was told to drink water and take tylenol only to find out somewhere else I have had strep throat for two weeks.
Experiencia negativa: If you plan to give birth here, be warned. This hospital has providers on the Labor and Delivery floor that bill an outside company called Pediatrix. Pediatrix is a shady company with many lawsuits against them. Pediatrix will send you a surprise bill months after you've given birth, separate from your UCHealth/Parkview bill. They overcharge significantly by thousands of dollars and there is no way of knowing if a provider that uses them is going to be part of you and your baby's care. Pediatrix is hell to deal with, they will not take your insurance information no matter how many times you call to provide this information, and they expect you to pay out of pocket. This is the last thing you want to be dealing with during the postpartum period. It has caused me significant emotional distress. Consider giving birth at another hospital that doesn't use this predatory company.
Experiencia positiva: I'm from Durango CO & I went here for a surgery. I must say I was extremely impressed with everything from the security at the doors to the desk staff. They were all friendly and helpful. My surgeon was Dr. Mahmoud & he is the ABSOLUTE best!! He explained everything for my Laparoscopic myomectomy, Accesa, hysteroscopy with endometrial ablation procedure very thoroughly and he was to the point. I am BEYOND greatful I had the procedure done!! I feel SO much better! Before, I was feeling dizzy, lethargic, my stomach was always huge and bloated, I lost all libido and was having weird hot flashes at night even though I'm not menopausal. I highly recommend the procedure if you are suffering from large fibroids like I was. The nurses Ellen and Melinda were absolutely amazing & very helpful. They were so sweet!!! Again, I can't express enough how greatful I was to be able to have such a pleasant experience during the time I was there!
Experiencia negativa: If you looking for ER doctors more concerned with with freeing up beds than doing their basic do diligence and listening to a patient you've come to the right place. The nurses run the show but the Dr's in the ER are too busy to give any more valuable diagnosis than can be found on Google. Don't waste your time or money. They simply Don't care.
Experiencia negativa: My niece was shot and this hospital was so unprofessional. They literally undressed her with male staff in the room. They didn’t give her any modesty. They didn’t show her how to care for her wounds. They didn’t even clean her wounds before casting her. This hospital is a joke. The staff were all rude.
Experiencia fantástica: Spent 2 months on 4th and 5th floor after Diabetic below the knee amputation by Dr. Pan. Wonderful Doctor ..Nursing staff was awesome as well as all of the support staff. The meals were great. See pictures I thank everyone for a of the time I needed for my care. Especially the Nurse that says. "OH MYLANTA!" Please whom ever reads this...take care of yourself as a Diabetic. So you don't have to have an amputation as I did for not keeping my Blood Sugar under control‼️ Stay strong Friends
Experiencia fantástica: I'm torn a bit on this review... I honestly don't remember being there. Parkview saved my life after a motorcycle accident. I was a difficult patient, though there were definitely things for me to be difficult about. Again though, they saved my life, and that made my special lady friend happy.
Experiencia fantástica: My husband had been waiting for sometime for a neurosurgeon referral at Auschwitz’s/Denver specialty with his condition deteriorating seriously. Did an ongoing appointment at the medical building across the street from Parkview with Dr. Junequera/pulmonologist, who is 10 stars! And by the way- parking in the adjacent garage is the worst I’ve ever encountered in many years- but I digress. Dr. Junequera saw how my husband was struggling with walking, arms and movement, viewed the MRI I had w/me and said he needed to be seen at the ER asap and that Parkview had a great neurosurgeon. We took his advice- and it was a God send. Dr. Sami and his specialized team operated on my 70+ husband and the work was beyond our expectations. Dr Sami literally turned back the clock on my husband’s cervical spinal cord compressions. A few days on the surgical ward than a couple weeks at their adjacent acute physical rehabilitation and now he’s so much better and just doing very well. No part of his entire care were we disappointed or annoyed. Top care by very classy and expert in all their fields. The WiFi in the surgical waiting room is a joke- you have to leave the waiting area go down the hall to receive updates on the surgery it’s self. But overall I’d give a 10/10 from day 1. Except- having to check in at valet parking entrance as they don’t have a way for visitors to park near 3-North and must walk the very long and challenging tunnel over to 3-North. If your using a walker it is hard to manage. Everything in our world could use positive changes- but I consider these areas small considering the overall gift they gave us through Dr. Sami and his staff and wouldn’t have happened at all without Dr. Junequera’s support and encouragement. A very grateful wife and patient.
Experiencia negativa: parking during the day on regular work days is terrible they have been updating the medical but not parking it took me ten mins to find a spot and if you have a full size truck good luck its even worse.
Experiencia fantástica: I was an in patient in Parkview now part of U C Health in October of 2022. At that time I was very unhappy with my stay. Recently I was admitted and the quality of everything is five star. The doctors, nurses, care quality, cleanliness and even the food exceeded my expectations. I was treated as a valuable patient and would recommend this hospital to any one.
Experiencia negativa: Very horrible hospital, they let people suffer unnecessary. People would rather drive to Colorado Springs then let anyone go to Parkview.
Experiencia negativa: Good luck getting and help when you walk into the front entrance on the weekend. No one is willing to help and all nurses just walk around with their heads down on their phone. This is the worse hospital I have ever been to. Good luck getting any help.
Experiencia negativa: This place is garbage! I came in there with a head injury. Literally waited in the waiting room for 4 hrs. Frustrated, and LEFT. They have ABSOLUTELY to concept of EMERGENCY! If I could give them a -10 rating, I WOULD. THEY ABSOLUTELY SUCK
Experiencia negativa: ER is run like the DMV. SIT DOWN AND WAIT! Had a woman in the room screaming out in pain and nothing was done to help her. We were asked to sit after we thought my wife was having a heart attack (she has history). After an hour ambulance ride and over two hours in the ER waiting room, and absolutely no sense of urgency we left. Today we are heading to Denver to go to Swedish Medical (Littleton). Would drive anywhere else other than this place where people in need of help are treated like unimportant, bothersome nagging strangers. We could not even get the results of the test or consult with the doctor without getting a room. You guessed it, no rooms. This is a way we felt like we were being kept (held) in order to get our test results. Most terrible experience and really disappointed. We need to demand better because I have experienced better!
Experiencia fantástica: NURSERY/LABOR & DELIVERY/POST PARDON really brought back confidence and a sense of pride in our small town community! I know it is hard to hear positive these days but that is why, when we experience true genuine people demonstrating human kindness it is important we share it and allow the echo to build, not only for one but most importantly for ALL our deposit accounts. Shift to shift, Doctor to Tech, from start to finish the lasting impression upon my wife and I's growing family has improved. Attentiveness, diligence, and awareness made the difference in some shaky moments. It is one thing to receive medical treatment but quiet another to run into an old friend, see the progression of a community through ongoing festivals in nearby parks, and be treated with dignity! ALL IN OUR OWN BACKYARD! Oh... and the gift bag upon discharge was just delightful! Take a moment and sing praises to the individuals who worked from 8/17/24-8/18/24 on the 5th floor! THANK YOU FOR TAKING CARE OF MY FAMILY & GETTING US BACK HOME SAFE!
Experiencia fantástica: Mine and my babys nurse during labor/ delivery were amazing. Can't put in words how thankful I am of Makala and Nikole. They were so considerate, checked on me and baby frequently, and provided so much support. Out of 3 of my pregnancies I never had a nurse like them. If this hospital had more nurses with even half of their compassion they'd have a 5 star rating compared to 2.5 stars.
Experiencia negativa: Worst experience ever there people are nothing but young girls and guys that are just jokes and don’t ever take care of there people like it’s there own family back then this nurses would take care of you and make sure you all good it’s sad how to see these hospitals go down in Pueblo the way they are
Experiencia negativa: Spent 4 hours in the waiting room and another 4 in the room inside. I did not receive any relief from my pain. No narcotics. Great! I walked in with Pain and walked out with pain that was worse
Experiencia negativa: This hospital is so slow my 94 year old mother been waiting for a bed in the ER for 4 hours I can't believe it. Will make sure to take her to St.Mary's hospital next time. There's got to be a better system at Parkview!!!
Experiencia fantástica: Cleaner bathrooms hand sanitizer by elevator s etc more police in garage or camera s love our GP Lev Ashrov and crew otherwise UC health partners is working out bringing in a better doctor s
Experiencia negativa: I regretfully found myself at Parkview Hospital, an experience that left me longing for the comfort of a Walmart pharmacy. Let's just say, the vibes here are less "caring medical professionals" and more "fast-food employees on a bad day”. But fear not, amidst the chaos, there was a shining beacon of professionalism: Ian V. and Ashley. This guy and gal? A true gem. Their demeanor and genuine passion for their work were like a breath of fresh air in this otherwise murky hospital atmosphere. They actually made me believe that being in a hospital could be bearable. Now, let's talk about the rest of the crew. Picture this: a nurse who could give Ronald McDonald a run for his money in terms of customer service skills. She fed me a line about my family member not wanting me in, conveniently ignoring the fact that hospital cell reception is worse than trying to get Wi-Fi in a cave. Lazy? Check. Truthful? Not so much. When I finally managed to get inside, my family member confirmed that the nurse hadn't even bothered to ask her opinion. And let's not forget the sign about "no aggressive behavior”, which seems more like a warning from upper management than a commitment to patient care. It's like they took a page out of the airline handbook on dealing with unruly passengers—press charges first, ask questions later. Bottom line: unless you enjoy drama and questionable healthcare practices, I'd explore every other option before setting foot in this dungeon they call a hospital. Parkview at 400 W 16th St.? More like Parkview at "Run Far Away Street”.
Experiencia negativa: Got scene there once was put on a hold I smoke weed they threw out my marijuana went into my sealed backpack looking for weapons which btw they hold onto for you but the throw out my medicine thanks. Worst hospital in Colorado. I bet you they just kept it to smoke I should be reimbursed. $84 bucks worth!!! Pissed.
Experiencia negativa: Came to hospital my wife was stable heart best left three hours later and she was dead after they insisted to do a medical procedure that could have waited the said she had a bowel obstuction after they cut her open they said they did a CT scan which would have seen it looking onto getting a lawyer
Experiencia negativa: Waited 4 hours for a rude dr,she just said well do that Basically I'm done 1min.Rude,rude.They think everyone that goes here is on drugs!!!....Quit judging people by the way they look find a better job.Because Dr's help not turn you away
Experiencia negativa: Place was awful my poor daughter got poked with needles so many times bc “ they could get it” didnt know how to help and some of the nurses were way to rough they transferred my daughter at almost 1 AM to the children’s hospital in springs
Experiencia negativa: Worst hospital and scheduling like no other. I was referred to Dr Eric Richter a urologist. Ashley the scheduler made me an appointment on my grandchildrens graduation day. After cancelling the appointment and very upset because they went a month out for another appointment I mentioned about the poor service and was immediately kicked off the care by them. I could be dying from prostate cancer but these people don't care. Their own concern is for the money they make off the insurance. I've never been treated like this at any other place. My advice to anyone else is to stay away from Parkview and UC health they are not interested in your well being just the money
Experiencia negativa: Treated my mother for a fracture after an ebike crash. They shoved her in a section made for incarcerated patients, and had her waiting on and off for hours while treating her like less than garbage, and refusing any privacy. Go to St. Mary Corwin.
Experiencia fantástica: Had my baby through csection in labor and delivery at Parkview. All of the nurses and dr who did it were absolutely amazing. I couldn't have asked for a better experience or better care for my baby and I. The entire time, I felt very well taken care of and cared about. Literally not one negative thing to say! It was a hard thing to go through and they helped me feel like I wasnt alone. So, so much love and appreciation for absolutely everyone!!!!
Experiencia negativa: By far the worst place to have your loved ones they feed you this never ending phrase called false hope they spread that word around like the Covid it’s so sad that this is our best at work I was told by the nurse in truma icu that I was given false hope by the nueraligists and not to have much hope in recovery of my husband because she and the doctor on shift don’t see signs of high recovery for my husband MRI says improvement but the doctors and nurses say it’s not enough to say he could lead a normal life and we need to focus on quality of life I want to know when nurses and icu doctors over power the neutralists when diagnosing a trauma icu patient .
Experiencia negativa: Sucks I even had to pick one star just to leave a review. The service is absolute trash. U could be dying while waiting hours upon hours. U fight for ur life just to be seen, not only the first time but Everytime I've made my way to this hospital. How sad.
Experiencia negativa: Staff incredibly rude. Doctors were useless. They told me nothing was wrong and I just have a small bulging disk in my back and it's fine. I then went to a real hospital in denver were doctors told me my bulging disk has causes me to have spinal stenosis. I will never be back to Parkview.
Experiencia negativa: My mother received her primary and specialist care. I was disappointed the lack of good quality primary care she received. I attended a couple appointments with her before she passed away and was disappointed in the bedside manner of her providers.
Experiencia negativa: Went in for shortness of breath. The lady doing registration asked if my name was "Blackie" (I am a person of color) and then proceeded to put me in a break room for several hours until one of the nurses walked in and exclaimed "Oh, I forgot you were in here". Never ended up getting seen and was slipping in and out of consciousness due to lack of air. Eventually started feeling better and ended up just leaving. Do not recommend if you are having an actual emergency.
Experiencia fantástica: I had same day surgery there, and I wanted to express my gratitude to the nursing staff and doctors who took care of me. Everyone was an angel making sure I was as comfortable as possible. Amazing group, they all work together to ensure you are well taken care of.
Experiencia negativa: My ER nurse was awesome. The ER doctor ( Mandrel) was horrible. He wouldn't listen. He just ordered all these tests and sent me home. Telling there's nothing he can do. Although they found a tumor in my scrotum and also 3 hernias. I also haven't been able to eat because my stomach hurts. Yet all he's is take some Tylenol.
Experiencia negativa: I originally probably would have done 4 stars but my experience recently has really messed me up. My appendix nearly burst cuz I couldn't be seen. I was in the waiting room for 5 hours, never actually seen on a Saturday. I felt horrible so I went home to sleep. Back on Sunday and was able to be admitted. The appendix bursts in 2-3 days and I tried to shake it off day 1 so I truly got lucky for having to wait another day. They called in a surgeon for Monday morning. Ping Pan. Should you ever see her good luck. I've never met a Dr that I could tell so obviously hated me. Sorry I'm a high risk surgery for immune disorders, I literally can't help it. My incisions were super glued shut which isn't as convenient as it sounds. 2 of 3 split open cuz where tummy meets pelvis isn't a spot to glue with any kind of waistband rubbing the area. My 2nd split is above my belly button and isn't healing well even almost 6 weeks (!!!) later, in fact I had to go get a prescription for infection. This whole thing has me feeling like a glitch in the matrix cuz the incision that had hurt so horribly is the only healed one. I would've much preferred stitches. I was given painkillers for a whopping 2.5 days. At a lower dose than I'm accustomed to post surgery as well. Urgent care apparently doesn't do painkillers so I really had to go back to the ER cuz I was limping and hurt so bad I couldn't even sleep to heal. They did a CT scan just 4 days after my surgery when I never suspected it to be any issue with surgery just that literally my innards hurt and rightly so. They did more blood work as well so after all the hell I endured I got more hell. I only got yet another 2 days of lower dose painkiller so all together I got 4.5 days when I'm not even healed in nearly 6 weeks. I don't think drug addicts should get to ruin the needs of the ill. Idk if the fentanyl frenzy is where it changed or what but it was honest to god cruel to leave me suffering. INSANE experience! Otherwise everything is pretty luck of the draw. There's 2 ER Drs that I know I'm in good hands with but I've also encountered 2 who definitely have no effs to give. I do like that they give you your results of blood x-ray etc. Things had gone pretty well for me till then so really unfortunate my surprise surgery went so horribly.
Experiencia negativa: Just received a phone call, from the pulmonary office at Parkview saying they no longer will accept my health insurance because they merged with UC Health, this hospital is becoming a big joke, stay away, also their scheduling department doesn't accept my health insurance either,so I will not be able to proceed with my CT scan, this place is becoming the worst place to go to.
Experiencia negativa: Horrible service I came in with abnormal bleeding they just do labs say everything looks fine with your labs won't do a ultrasound to check for anything and they don't do pap smears doctor was rude to me rushing me to discharge just said contact your primary for follow up if I was in Florida north Florida would have did a pap smear and ultrasound now I'm still bleeding no diagnosis and wasted my time coming here
Experiencia negativa: Been in the ER for 5 hours. I have only seen a doctor once, still do not know what is going on with my body be were to busy talking about personal lives to even give a patient a small update, again this has been over a 5 hour period.
Experiencia negativa: My aunt had a procedure done over there and because they made a 'whoopsies we punctured your esophagus, we're sorry, our bad' mistake, she had to be flown to a hospital in Denver to do an emergency surgery to fix their problem -- yeah negligence and taking no responsibility is their motto it seems. To do a procedure with having some scope going through her throat and this incident occurs?! This IS APPALLING! Due to their expertise, she is now seeking legal action and has to be fed by a tube while also taking her several newly prescribed medications in the wake of their little 'whoopsie' of an accident. If you want quality care and are concerned for your health, I repeat, DO NOT entrust this establishment with your health at any cost! Go elsewhere!
Experiencia fantástica: Very good hospital, offer the best Care,an the best Doctors an Nurses, with latest technology to verify what problem you may be experiencing, as I had a major surgery here few years back, an treat you like Family. Welcome To Pueblo.
Experiencia negativa: Horrible care, went in with chest pains and was left sitting in a room. There 4 hours. Restroom was dirty even though the janitor walked past it at least 12 times. My monitor was left beeping for 15 minutes while doctors and nurses walked past. Pueblo standards
Experiencia negativa: The administration staff is completely lost. After multiple attempts to get some simple paperwork done and get an appointment I have opted to use a different medical center. Every appointment I have processed through other facilities was easy and very user friendly. Absolutely ridiculous experience trying to schedule appointments with Parkview Medical Center.
Experiencia fantástica: Was transfered here from Pueblo west ER to undergo emergency gallbladder surgery the next morning and the care I received here was AMAZING absolutely life changing at helping me manage pain until I could have the surgery. Every doctor and nurse was kind and patient and helpful. So very very caring. Just received a letter from three of the staff that helped, Amber and Zana were main nurses and RN was Erin wishing me well. It literally has made my day and even happier with my care. Imma put it on my bulletin board. I've now had two surgeries in my life and they all made this as painless and quick as possible to get back in my feet
Experiencia fantástica: I just wanted to take the time to say what a great experience my girlfriend and I had with her hysterectomy surgery. From the friendly free valet, to admissions, to the whole nursing team evening went way better than expected. Everyone was super professional, kind, and caring. We never felt like "just another patient". Everyone was very attentive and committed what they were doing as they completed every step. The text alert system kept me up to date on her procedure the entire time. I never had to worry about what was happening or when they would finish. This is exactly how medical care should be done. Thank you so very much to the same day surgery team and kudos to your professionalism and level of patient care!
Experiencia negativa: This was my hospital when my great grandma was still alive, not all the doctors here are bad, but they even treated my great grandma terribly: My uncle was in for terrible pain that ended up as a slipped disc and we have been here from 7 am to almost 8 pm trying to leave for over 3 hrs... Doctors avoided giving him any pain relief after just one use of morphine! Like this new doctor that took over the other one, she is making it so damn difficult and she witnessed my uncle in pain just from trying to sit up when they were basically kicking him out knowing he can't move much... I'm so upset with how she/they are treating him like he's not suffering! Why does she have to argue with him like he's stupid...? They were literally kicking us out until he was too much in pain to move for a while and she has the nerve to say they weren't trying to...
Experiencia negativa: I’m giving an extra star because the Dr’s are good and have nothing to do with this. I approached my son’s Nurse to ask her if she would ask the Doctor a question for me about a medication that would lower certain levels in the blood. Her response was attitude and a statement “your son’s blood level did go down” I replied “by 0.4, and it remains at a critical level. Can you please ask the doctor for me”. Next she says “well that medication has a lot of side effects” and I responded “side effects for short-term use of a seizure medication versus a liver transplant?” Now why do nurses always feel the need to argue? I was simply asking her to be the messenger and relay a question to the doctor during a very stressful time. This occurred today, dayshift 12/30/23. Would it be possible to train nurses to not try to be so haughty to concerned family members who happen to do a little research on their own. I’m an RN myself and I have witnessed nurses belittling family members with their inconsideration of what others are going through throughout my experience as a Mom and as a fellow nurse. I wonder if she will ask for me??
Experiencia negativa: Look at the reviews they hide by only pushing 5 star reviews.....this place is a scam. The fact that they have to hide negative reviews should be all the proof you need but I beg you to read the things people have to say about this garbage hospital Major communication issues. This place is basically a dumpster fire masquerading as a place to help people.
Experiencia negativa: Had taken forever to get medication any time i have aquestion or call the nurses station i get treated like i am a total bother i have been calling for my med since 6am its now almost 6pm n been waiting on a neorologist for two days now and and physical therapy.. All in all a very uncomfortable stay. Feel like a burden.. App psi have left my room full of trays even from previous day's second time i have had to ask for them to take the trays
Experiencia positiva: First off, kudos to the front desk, security staff, and cafe staff. I was impressed by all of them and they made their parts in our visit here very pleasant. However... I would say they're underwhelmingly understaffed here on the medical side of the house from what I observed. My family member was admitted for several days. The second to last day despite 3 calls to the nurse station and assurance they'd send a nurse we ended up not seeing anyone for 5 hours. Not exactly great response time. They also sent a doctor who from what we can tell read the cliff notes on the chart and then with minimum effort gave an opinion without all the information. The staff who did do their jobs well here were nice and appreciated though. It was just about a 50 percent chance of getting someone completely outstanding or someone who either didn't show or didn't put forth the effort. As I said, this might be fixed with the addition of more staff though, who knows.
Experiencia negativa: I recommend trying to make it to any other hospital. If you have any lung issues FIND A PLACE THAT WILL HELP YOU. Parkview is only good for delivering babies apparently since they lack very basic communication skills. The doctors DO NOT talk to each other when handing cases over. They will leave ypu sitting in a bed for 3 days without pain management. Please save yourself the trouble and go to a legitimate hospital
Experiencia negativa: I have never experienced poorer health care than with this system. That said my nurse practitioner is the best I've ever had. It's the system. Before scheduling was removed from the hospital, I would get a call back to schedule appointments within a few days. Two requests for referrals were placed more than a year ago and I have never received an appointment for either. I called for an appointment with my healthcare provider, for a leg injury, almost two weeks ago and have not received a callback. I ended up going to the emergency room. It was comical, almost. I walked through security, then I walked to fill out the paper saying what I was there for, walked to set down, then walked to give my information, walked back to set down. Then I was called to have an X-ray, without seeing a professional, walked to X-ray, walked back to set down. Then I was called to be taken to an exam room, I was walked back. I was seen by a PA who spent less than 2 mins and didn't even touch my leg. Someone came in with 2 Tylenol and I was told I could leave. NOT one time through all that walking was I asked if I needed assistance walking and I was there for a leg injury! No compassion, so deviation from "the normal" procedure. I worked in healthcare for 30yrs and am appalled at the lack of care, just interested in making money. So little staff that they can't possibly care for patients properly.
Experiencia negativa: Found out during a visit to a GI doc today that someone marked my file and records as a methamphetamine addict. I have never used any drugs in my life. Was told this would affect my treatment in and out of the hospital as I have been labeled a addict and I am to not be given certain meds due to this. Looking into who I need to speak with to hopefully get this cleared up. And the security in the hospital was very rude and attempted to put his hands on ke when I asked where a certain office was so I could get to my appointment. Over all not happy with the Care and the way I've been treated during my visit their.
Experiencia positiva: Doctor actually listened to me, helped me feel better, didn't just dismiss me because I'm young. St Mary Corwin is the devils playground at this point.Every time I go to st Mary Corwin Their employees exhibit evil behavior. The nurses at Parkview are actually nice and take the time to explain things, they also take patients grievance forms seriously.
Experiencia fantástica: Last week we had our twins at this hospital with our surrogate. We came in earlier than anticipated and the entire staff was so accommodating and kind. Kristin, the Director, has floor 5’s birthing unit running super smooth. All our nurses and the Nursery were kind and took their time with any thing we needed. The only thing that would have made the 48 hour stay better would have been a mini fridge and a microwave in the room. But there is a microwave in the floor for use. Dr. Niemet was absolutely amazing! I would recommend this staff to anyone in the area or surrounding areas that is having a baby.
Experiencia negativa: My dad was taken here by ambulance to the ER for a Fall. Took the ER forever to let him know what was wrong and that he was going to be admitted. He asked for something to eat many times. He is diabetic and needs to eat. Well finally after after several hours waiting for a room. They feed him. But his blood sugar next morning was 49. I called nurses station next day to see how he was doing and seemed like I was bothering them when I called. Asked many times that to please call me and let me know what was going on with my dad and even gave my phone number but have not heard back from anyone. Not the doctor or nurse. Have had to call myself to find out how my father is feeling and when I do call rings several times before I speak to someone and get transferred to the nurses station for his room. This is not the first time this has happened. Also happened several other times and even when my mom was there before she passed away. This is the worst hospital in Pueblo.
Experiencia negativa: My husband was in Parkview Hospital in Pueblo Colorado having heart stints The operation went well. However he was in ICU. Parkview didn't have enough staff. While the nure was with another patient he had a stroke, a brain bleed. He was paralyzed on the left side.He can walk now But he still has no movement in his left arm He was unable to eat or swallow after the stroke. They gave him swallow test after swallow test. He failed time and time again. They fed him through the nose for many weeks. They decided to put in a feeding tube in his stomach. They put it through his colon and then into his stomach. This caused such pain and suffering. He went for about 60 days like this. He was getting no food. He had to be transfered to Denver, because there was just no confidence with Parkview Hospital any more. The second day he Was in Denver, he passed the swallow test with no problem. I believe Parkview and their swallow test policy caused him all these problems. If he had passed their swallow test he would never have had to through all the pain and suffering. I watched he throw up for days. I saw him loose 30 pounds. I told nurses for days that his belly wound smelled. Its took them two weeks to figure out that the tube was not placed in his stomach correctly. We never ever saw the surgeon, not once. The surgeon says that it was because of Parkview' s policy. If you ask me something really needs to change at Parkview Hospital in Pueblo Colorado. I also took a fall in his hospital room, because nurses did not respond to thier call when I called for them. I was trying to help my husband back to his bed with no help. I slipped on a sheet, and hurt my shoulder. They paid for all my treatments in full, because they knew they were wrong. I even got a written apology from them. My husband got nothing, but a verbal I am sorry. I kept a journal through all this so I can prove what I am saying. Its hard for me to think of all the other patients that may have to go through this, because of Parkview Hospital and a surgeon thst gets away with making these kinds of mistakes on such a routine procedure. This will continue to happen u less Parkview is held responsible for their policies and on staff just to save money. And its all about the money and definitely not thier patients. I have all the names of the people responsible. Like I said i kept a journal. Hope there is some reaction to my statement. Next I'll call newspapers and television stations. I'm not finished with Parkview Hospital in Pueblo Colorado. I've just started!!!!
Experiencia fantástica: June 16th, 2023 I had major back surgery and the outcome was amazing! From the beginning to the end of my stay, everyone treated me extremely well and took great care of me. The nurses on the 5th floor rock!
Experiencia negativa: Took my husband to the ER on grand street. Waited for over God knows how long and was told sarcasticly by tiethe blonde behind the front desk that they don't care how long you have been waiting they take the sicker patients first. To the patient who can't stand up on their own and vomits they need to be seen asap. Their illness is serious to them. I know there are all kinds of sick people but you don't know how the patient feels. Something needs to be done. The er at Pueblo west is alot better and have nicer employees.
Experiencia fantástica: My grandma had amazing care while there! Soooo thankful! God is good! He guided ALL staff! Dr, nurses, All staff! Experts, HOUSEKEEPING! 2nd floor was an amazing team! Forever thankful! ❣️ kudos to Samantha aka Sam. She jumped on her gut feeling and she is an awesome RN
Experiencia negativa: They couldn't get the x-rays, their computer wouldn't work to show images from 4 mri's and they wanted more tests ran! The money is all that they took. Nothing for pain, nothing showed for services rendered...
Experiencia fantástica: Great care on the fifth floor for labor and delivery. Helpful staff and accommodating rooms. My husband was able to sleep overnight and even had his own bed in the room! Doctor complied to all my wishes about giving birth.
Jessica, thank you for the review. We are happy to hear you had a good experience.
Experiencia fantástica: Had knee replacement surgery Feb 2015. I have only good things to say about the care I received. I am going back for my other knee. Dr. Ritter will again do the operation. He is just great! Thanks to all who took excellent care of me.
Janet, we are please to hear about your experience at our hospital and with Dr. Ritter. He is an amazing orthopedic physician and we are happy to hear you had the quality of care you expected. Thank you.
Experiencia fantástica: Wow, I'm really quite shocked to read the negative reviews. I had 2 surgeries that were 5 to 6 day stays each time in 2013. On the 5th floor. While the surgeries were rough I had nothing but caring professionals tending to me & my needs. Dr's, nurses, cna's, therapists, lab techs, even the kitchen staff when they delivered your meals were sweet. And I am not an easy patient! I have to give them a 5 because they did care for me very well.
Experiencia fantástica: Special thanks to the team on 5 tower. The care exceeded my expectations from nursing, CNA's, respiratory... even housekeeping went out of their way to keep me safe, comfortable, and informed. Both day and night crews: You are awesome!
Experiencia fantástica: Parkview is the best place to have a baby vs st mary corwin. Parkview offers electric breast pumps to use during the stay , if your baby cant leave the nursery your allowed to stay in there as long as you want, its pretty big in comparison to corwin, if you would like to breastfeed privately their is either curtians that wrap around you and your baby to form a privacy area or theirs a cute little quiet nursing room with a rocking sofa type deal and another chair for your loved one to stay by you! Corwins is very small and cold, the nurses there wrre very full of them self and rude. Rude middleaged women going through menopause i assume. Their were 2 nice nurses during my stay If you have something embarrassing in your health history you will feel embarrassed . Only because the reaction from the nurses you will get rude responces almost 98 %of the time. The only good thing about the hospital is they send you home with a big thing of spaghetti and bread sticks Frozen spaghetti and bread sticks at that to heat up to quote unquote celebrate having your baby LOL. In my opinion Parkview is far more better to have a baby in there Hospital good birthrooms are beautiful compared to corwins. Corwin was not a good experience for my family and me if it were up to me if I was to have another baby I would go to Parkview again. When I had my child at Corwin the nurses said"what time did the baby come" and the other nurse said" umm just out the time it is now" like 20 mjn after i gave birth to my son. Amd darn right they got corrected!!!! At parkview not only are the nurses and doctors caring the room service it's amazing and sweet as well come to think of it the lab techs are very sweet as well. Well I hope this review have somebody make a decision I hope this review help somebody make a decision I had my first one year ago at parkview N it was a wonderful expierence
Thank you for the review. We are pleased to hear you had a good experience and are wishing you and your babies the best!
Experiencia fantástica: I am an aspiring athlete and I have traveled the country to race dirt bikes. This weekend I happened to be here in pueblo. As a competitor in a dangerous sport I am aware that the risk is high for injury and death is even a possibly at such speeds. I experienced a traumatic accident and suffered a stage 2 puncture would to the rib cage, as well as a clean break to my left femur. I was in good care in the ambulance ride and was welcomed by more great caring people once arrived here at Parkview. In less then 24hours I have been under the knife and sewn back together in quick time. The kind of time that is fast but not forced. As I recoup before my discharge, I am still under a professional level of patient care while continuing to make a rapid recovery. From the nurses to the physicians, they are well mannered, well groomed, and of the utmost a sincere care courses through the hospital. I do not recommend getting hurt, however if hurt this will be a hospital that feels like home. Sure does to me being 1000 miles from home. For anyone of those who helped me along, thank you dearly for your ability.
Matt, thank you for the review. We appreciate you providing feedback about your experience at Parkview.
Experiencia fantástica: Kudos and much thanks to Dr. Joslin and the entire staff at Parkview. They were extremely professional, courteous, and caring in every aspect of my treatment. I was truly blessed to find them in my time of need over 1200 miles from home. God bless them all!
Thank you for the review, Debbie. We appreciate the feedback and we are happy to hear that you had a good experience. We hope you had a safe trip home, but really do appreciate you taking the time to let us know about the care you received.
Experiencia negativa: Had a x-ray at Parkview. The reading was questionable at best. Had a MRI at Open MRI of Pueblo. Perfect read! The X-ray cost more than did the MRI. Parkview did not bill me for a month and 1/2. In the mean time I payed my yearly deductible at MRI Of Pueblo. Absolute Clown circus is what goes on at parkview: in my opinion.
Experiencia fantástica: When seconds meant life and death, the personnel from from 'A to Z' provivided excellent care. I'm alive today due to their professional behaviour and attitud
Experiencia fantástica: I accompanied my husband on an emergency visit for an almost week-long migraine. Every single person on staff that we interacted with was kind, professional, and clearly cared about my husband's wellbeing. He has had numerous experiences at other facilities where the medical staff rushed him through his appointment and dismissed many of his concerns without any discussion. Our nurse Ashley and Dr. Geiger, on the other hand, took their time with us to explain what they would do for my husband and to address all of our concerns. When Dr. Geiger first left our room, my husband commented, "It felt like he actually saw me." It's a shame that this isn't the standard healthcare experience in this country but I am very happy with the care we received from this medical center. Now all that's left is to get the bill... :)
Experiencia fantástica: Went to St Mary's early Tues for major heart pain, chest and arms etc. Ran a few tests, sent me home. 6 hours later I'm at Parkview having a major cardiac episode that leads to heart attack and surgery. Has I stayed home, I'd be dead at this time. PARKVIEW saved my life.
Experiencia fantástica: My sister Porscha Quintana just gave biirh to my goddaughter Jayvlyn in November 2021 and she was very happy with her experience. My sister Porscha had an all natural birth and she was completely barefooted when she pushed my goddaughter Jayvlyn out. The nurses also allowed my sister Porscha to growl my goddaughter Jayvlyn out with every push.
Experiencia fantástica: I went in for an out patient surgery. My nurse Michelle the red head was awesome. The whole staff made me feel very comfortabl
Experiencia fantástica: I love you guys! So far I have had two kiddos and a broken leg at park view. We were treated great and they had super friendly staff.
Experiencia negativa: Been here 3 days now. It takes several hours to get meds after requesting them even when they are approved so if you're in major pain just hang in there I guess. Nurses don't respond to the call button leaving the IV machines beeping for over an hour after the fluid bag is empty, only saw 1 for real doctor everyone else was an NP or PA. My neighbor guy went off screaming down the hall and throwing things after being ignored by the nurses which was a bit scary. The food service was okay and fast but other than that I felt overall they are likely understaffed and they need to hire more doctors. It has been a very uncomfortable stay. I hope I don't have to come back.

Experiencia negativa: they’ve really gotta do better. my first visit here i was left to bleed out internally for over 4 hours in the waiting room. i’ve literally not gone for an emergency since bc of this, finally needed to go today & they blew up my hand after i told 2 people the IV wasn’t right & it was hurting & i didn’t even want one unless i needed medication & they did it anyway & blew up my hand with saline. i’m pretty good at being assertive for myself as well so i dunno what it takes to get these people to listen to a patient.
Experiencia negativa: Back in 2016 I got my face and skull and jaw and parts of my back and neck broken and they labeled it all contusions. I ended up receiving adequate medical Care from another facility months later however apparently I had acquired traumatic brain injuries, monophages was 44.0 (extremely elevated indicating bone fractures) and they never diagnosed me correctly at Parkview and I was there multiple times when I got hurt. Parkview usually gets sued 3 to 8 times a year over misdiagnosis or mistreatment of traumatic brain injury, instead of delaying treatment they should have screened for it immediately regardless because every second counts and decreases the likelihood of survival. This hospital is horrible and should be shut down
Experiencia fantástica: My daughter-in-law was giving birth to our granddaughter here at Parkview Medical and my husband and I were so impressed with how nice everyone was here. From the receptionist at the front, to the security guards and all of the medical staff. Everyone was so sweet and congratulated us as we walked through the maternity ward. This lady at the gift shop was especially awesome! We wanted to get momma a gift and not only was she very patient, she also helped us put the gift together so it looked nice although they didn't really have any gift wraps or bags. Thank you everyone!! The experience was awesome!!
Experiencia fantástica: My dad has been in the ICU for over 150 days and the nurses know him by name and love him. Thank you Medical ICU team for giving us comfort in such difficult times.

Experiencia negativa: I was recently a patient seeing the hospital doctor Dr Cintron he treated me like i was a peice of TRASH , looked down on me , yelled at me & had no bedside manners & also forgets how he gets paid. He's in the WRONG FEILD period. I got my cna license in 2002 had to give up due to my back anyway I would NEVER treat my patients the way you treated me. Telling me I was lucky you didn't work on Sunday the 18th of June this month. Well you need to look at the way you treat patients in the future good luck to them. You have no right treating me or anyone the way you did. I want this looked into ASAP by the state board's. I will be on my feet soon.
