Experiencia fantástica: I've had some very serious back issues since a parachuting accident and subsequent spinal fusion many years ago. I still have significant aching tightness and my back is often quite sore through the thoracic and lumbar regions. My VA Doctor referred me to a Neurosurgeon for evaluation and we determined the best course of action wouldn't be drugs or more surgery, but a regimen of physical therapy. I've had months of therapy sessions at Galena Sport (MidTown) and it's certainly helping me. My back is still tight and it aches, especially when I'm not active enough, but I feel much better with reduced sciatica pain since therapists have been working with me. The facility is always clean and cheerful. The Staff at Galena are knowledgeable, friendly and professional. You only get out of physical therapy what you're willing to put into it. Nicole and her Staff will definitely help you feel better. They provide all the common-sense guidance you'll need to recover from an injury without a facility full of elaborate complicated machines. I recommend Galena Sports without reservation.

Experiencia fantástica: Nicole Lopes is Amazing! Nicole treated a lower right back issue above my hip bone that caused regular pain for six months before she treated me. In two treatments she made the pain subside and I am pain free in that area. That was two years ago! Additionally she helped me with rehabilitating a broken right ring and little finger. Her care and attention to detail set me at ease and my experience was not painful or discomforting like I have had with other physical therapists. I cannot recommend Nicole Lopes highly enough, as she explained all of my issues and ailments in terms I could understand and made me feel better after my first visit and helped me through my issues with easy to do home treatments and suggestions! She is in my opinion the best physical therapist in Northern Nevada, and I trust she will be able to help me with any of the issues I have in the future! Thank you Nicole!

Experiencia fantástica: I cannot say enough good things about Galena Sport. I worked with the team at the MidTown location for well over a year after a bad car accident that involved a protracted recovery. Nicole, Trevor, Alex and Renee all were amazing! They saw me through months of rehab, including preparing for and recovering from spinal surgery. Nicole was my PT and was incredible. In addition to doing the best manual therapy I have ever had, she had training in multiple modalities and always seemed to have a technique that would work to break up muscle spasms, reduce pain and get me feeling better. Trevor and Alex were knowledge, kind and always supportive. I am not sure that you can leave a session with one of them without having learned something new. It can be awkward and intimidating to try new exercises (especially in front of others) but these two put you right and ease and are always so encouraging. Renee is amazing, she made sure my service that there was no interruption in my services despite an insurance change and various billing peculiarities with my insurance. She was kind, welcoming and always had me smiling. In the end, this team got me through some of the hardest times that I have faced. They put me back together physically but also always were just amazing and caring people throughout. I hate that I had to go through this event, but in so many ways getting to know the amazing folks at Galena and being able to benefit from their knowledge and kindness was a silver lining and something that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

The first time I came here was after being told I would likely need surgery on my ankle after tearing a ligament, but thanks to Nicole, that was a route I didn't have to take. My ankle hasn't bothered me since. The entire staff is invested in helping you get back on track and are super friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend coming here!

Everyone at Galena Sport has been amazing. They are super friendly, on-time, and knowledgeable. Most of all, they didn't tell me to stop running which a lot of doctors will tell runners. Instead, they want to get me back out there ASAP so I can continue doing what I love. I really appreciate that!

Experiencia fantástica: I had an excellent experience at Galena with a nagging hamstring injury. Nichole (PT) was thorough and flexible in setting a plan for my recovery. She took a detailed history of my injury/activity/goals and completed a comprehensive exam. They didn't push for me to schedule appointments three days a week to do exercises I could do at home. They understood that my insurance deductible is high and that I am self motivated to get back to running. I left with a packet of exercises to do at home but the door was open for me to return with any questions or issues. I recommend Galena without reservation.

It's not just physical though--everyone at Galena Sport is so nice. Even if I show up wanting cry I always leave having laughed. Plus, Maddie the therapy dog is always there to snuggle when it's a rough day. I'm really going to miss going here when my physical therapy is done. :(
