Experiencia positiva: My friends nurse was very upbeat and helpful in her caretaking. The rooms certainly could use much updating, but overall her room seemed clean. I was concerned about the horrible odor in her clothes closet so I assume her family has not washed her clothes recently, But I would think that a staff member would alert the family as to the need. The front desk staff person was very cordial

Experiencia fantástica: Mike and Derek.. they really are the best in the rehab department. Their manager.. she isn't empathetic but this is a good place. Jonathan is caring, Friday is fun and Amber goes above and beyond in the activities department. I thank you all for everything and God bless.

Experiencia fantástica: My Mother In law was admitted to Beaufonnt on 10-25 for a stay after breaking her hip. She is 81 and has stage 6 dementia. I decided to tour the place before she got there and was pleasantly greeted by one of the receptionist. I then was handed off to Sherie who handles admissions. Sherie was very nice and answered all of my questions before I even asked them! She knew exactly what I needed to know and made me feel at ease. With in 2 days my Mother In law was transferred over the the facility where she would stay until 11/12. She had one fall( Dementia patients fall a lot) and was cared for quickly and efficiently! I then met Linda the director of Admissions. Linda is awesome as well! She knows everyone's names and knows her building and the residents! All of the nurses and aides were amazing! I want to give a shout out to CiCi!! She rocks!! The social worker Robin is great! She is kind and very helpful! She made a great transition at discharge! I will end with this --- my mother in law left a gold ring in her room, I was called today to see if it was hers. Sherie sent me a picture and I verified it was hers! They are very honest and go above and beyond!! Thank you so much for the outstanding care!!

Experiencia positiva: My experience was made tolerable because of a nurse called Friday. She was attentive, caring and patient. She made sure that I had clean towels, and wash clothes, and gowns! Wish that I could have given better rate, but there were just too many issues like...room not cleaned, missed meals, and meds not distributed in a timely manner!

Experiencia fantástica: I went to visit my former client Elouise Thornton that I cared for when she was at home. She had a birthday on September 25th and I couldn't come on that day however we had a very nice visit the next day. She was in the dining room because it was lunch time. It was nice to see her again and she was looking good. We took some pictures of our special day. She was glad to see me. Jacqueline Stokes

Experiencia negativa: Last few times I came, it was totally different but now it’s HORRIBLE!!! The LAZIEST bunch of “NON NURSES”, CNA’S and LPN’S I’ve EVER seen!!! What happened??? There was a GOOD bunch of NICE, CONSIDERATE LADIES that were WORKING but now, if YOU even ask a QUESTION about your FAMILY MEMBERS CONDITION or either if you want to do “somethings” for them that THEY AREN’T READY to do, they take ALL DAY LONG to do ANYTHING!!! I’m VERY UPSET with the EMPLOYEES that “so call HELP” my family member and from what I saw and my MOM and I waited for them to give her PT and it was almost an HOUR before THEY came and they have the MOST NEGATIVE ATTITUDES I’ve dealt with. So TIRED when we come, if THEY DON’T WANT TO DO THEIR JOBS, STOP APPLYING FOR THESE KIND OF POSITIONS!!! It was just AWEFUL to watch what they go through “WAITING” when I see so many doing “NOTHING”!!! One patient” had “wet herself” before they came and it’s gotten WORSE since I was last there. You need to ADDRESS this IMMEDIATELY!!! My family member and the rest of the patients there deserve MUCH BETTER!!!

Experiencia fantástica: The nurses and other staff are wonderful. I've never been hung up on or put on eternal hold (ie Chippenham)The nurses were patient with all my questions for my Dad. I feel good about my Dad's care.

Experiencia fantástica: A family member who is a resident called us with some concerns. We met with the Administrator, Jonathan Terrell, and Director of Nursing, Asiata Sylla. Both listened carefully and quickly address the issues we raised. The Nurse Practitioner came into the room where our family member is, and after ensuring it was OK to talk while we were present, asked questions that demonstrated the concerns we raised had been heard. We are grateful for the immediate responses as well as the friendly greetings from so many staff members.

Experiencia fantástica: In the last ten years I have worked with many PT & OT therapists. Prior to coming to Beaufont, I had worked with three separate companies, all claiming to have exceptional therapists. It wasn’t until I came to Beaufont in April that I realized how the attention to detail for my physical needs was necessary for me to succeed. My experience with the therapists at Beaufont have been exciting and thoughtful, and the results have been terrific. The rehab team at Beaufont, especially Mike in PT, are committed to their work. I was extremely deconditioned when I got to Beaufont. I was very weak and had difficulties standing and walking. My family and friends were shocked by how well I was doing in rehab in such a short amount of time. Through the program I was able to reach my goals. Thank you Beaufont!

Experiencia negativa: My husband was a patient at Beaufont from May 23, 2024 until June 6, 2024. He was admitted due to weakness in his hands and left leg. My daughter and I toured the facility prior to sending my husband there and was told they had one of the best rehab teams there. We thought it would be a good fit for him. After he was transferred I noticed problems. Upon entering the wing he was in you could smell urine coming from the rooms. The director of the facility and the doctor assigned to him visited us on Friday morning. The doctor only saw my husband twice the entire time he was there. We were introduced to the OT and PT at that time. They both told us he would receive 2-3 hrs of rehab a day, once in the morning and again in the afternoon. They then backtracked and said it depended on our insurance as to how much time he would get. He was there two days before rehab was offered. I sat in on one session that lasted 20 min. He never had a schedule as to when to expect rehab. He had to walk down to the gym twice to find the PT before I contacted the Director and asked for a schedule. His vital signs were never taken even though we were told they should be taken daily. My husband arrived at Beaufont on a Thursday. The next day, which was a Friday during a holiday weekend, the nurse informed him she had run out of his pain meds but said a family member could pick some up at CVS. I looked at her like she had two heads. Do you not do inventory? I discovered a menu located at the nurse's station near an employee kitchen. The menu stated there were alternate meals for lunch and dinner if the patient so desired. The patients had no access to this menu nor were they provided with a menu. I inquired why and was told it was policy. Patients who smoked were given their own area in the back of the hospital. Patients would smoke in front of the facility near a sign that clearly stated "NO SMOKING". Many times my husband would have to sit on the side of the building if we ventured outside to avoid the smoke. The TVs were another story. Half the stations they were supposed to get did not come in; the stations they were able to get would often freeze up. Many nights my husband could not sleep or was awakened early by the noise: patients screaming most of the night and alarms going off for at least 10 minutes. The nurses he had were great, the facility was not. I would not recommend this facility to anyone.

Experiencia negativa: The high reviews are probably being posted by staff to trick people. One nurse and one CNA for 50 rooms that have two people per room. My Dad was there 7 nights and fell 8 times. Not their fault but not having the floor mats they promised me was definitely their fault. When they did put the mat down it was a yoga mat that slid just walking past it. Nurse manager and director don't care and don't return calls until you report elder abuse to the authorities. Then they call you right away. Worse experience of my life and I'm 55 years old. Only send your family here if you don't care that they will probably rot in their feces , fall without getting xrays and basically just don't care if they die. This post is absolutely true and heartfelt!!

Experiencia positiva: Imani, Sean, Tasha, Lil Bit, Diane are just a few of the team members that have been super helpful to my mom. My mom loves Beaufont and how engaging and supportive the teams are. The only thing is that the administration is very difficult to reach and rarely do I receive a return call. Of most importance however is the staff is caring, attentive and my mom is improving more and more each day.

Experiencia fantástica: My mother is a patient on the rehab side and she is having a tough time adjusting. I am so grateful for the amazing staff that take care of her and advise me. Princess, Chika and Delores were so great and shouts to Harriett who assisted as well. I am glad I found Beaufont.

Experiencia negativa: Communication is very poor across the board, I have been scheduled for conference calls for my dad's care plan and never received a call while they still continue to have a meeting without any family to communicate to. How do I ask questions or express my concerns about his health or progress or anything that I want to share? I called while they were in the meeting and no one still took the curtesy to contact me via phone to join. This is not how you run a business. I've left messages for the social worker robin and I completely feel ignored

Experiencia fantástica: My elderly Mother has been a patient several times at Beaufont twice for a broken hip. This last time was different. She was declining and set to become a permanent resident at the first of April after being there two months but regrettably passed away on April 05. Destiny Thomas is a nurse and caregiver there. I want to commend her on her work. Destiny cares about her patients. She bonded with my Mother as well as myself (her son and only child). During the course of Mother's stay Destiny was able to anticipate her needs and act on them. She always had a smile on her face and called me "sunshine". She is an exceptional member of the staff there and in my opinion is beyond reproach. Beaufont is fortunate to have her on the staff.

Experiencia fantástica: From the moment I visited the facility to see of it would be a good fit for my mom and her transition I was impressed. LINDA in admissions was very transparent, the patients seemed happy, MORGAN was great. I even got a good feel for how important the patients overall care meant to the Johnathan Terrell, the director while there. The staff was great, nurses seem very compassionate. You really can tell they care. Keep up the great work.

Experiencia negativa: Today I called to speak to the business office. I was disrespected by a young man name Kahmari who answered the phone. He basically tried to bully me to tell him what I needed with the business office. I told him I don't feel I needed to share that concern with him and asked him to transfer me not sure where I was transferred but I had to call 3 times because the number he transfer me to just played a vm. I finally had to demanded to speak to a administrator that is available. I finally got Denise she was awesome and patient. It is very heartbreaking to call somewhere and to be treated rude by a receptionist. He told me I had an attitude and what he is trying to tell me. I gave him several opportunities to try to redeem himself he continued until the assistant had to talk the call and got me the manager Denise. This is very uncomfortable and have you concern how your love one is being treated in the facility if they are treating you like that over the phone. Sunday when I call the people at the nurses station answered the phone than hung up on me . Just rude nasty and have family worried how there love one being treated. I pray this is resolved no one should be treated like this. Professionalism of some staff is questionable and I pray this is fixed.

Also, the Director of Rehab was informative about my loved one’s routine and progress, she was caring and professional. 3 stars represent the need for more bodies to assist patients. 1 nurse for 17 patients is not providing the best possible care for residents.

When she sits at the front desk, she always greet you with a smile, if I ever have a problem or a question to something she is able to answer it, and if she does not have the answer to it, she is able to help me get the answer.

Experiencia fantástica: My experience on 11/4 was amazing while visiting my family member. I'm was so impressed with the staff professionalism, the clean facility and the pleasant smell. The NP on call was truly knowledgeable, took time to explained everything and answered all of my family questions. The nurse was very generous with helping make sure my family was taking care of. Her medicine was give as scheduled, extra blankets provided, he was professional in every way. I will definitely recommend this facility to people!

Experiencia fantástica: My husband was there for rehab... everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. Only concern was his TV was not working. They did replace it with a new one, but no local channels. He was in 58B, also therapy staff provided good things in bringing him home. Had meeting with my husband and I wasn't there., that was a concern since I'm his caregiver.

Experiencia fantástica: My relative stayed at Beaufont for 3-4 months. I cannot say that I look forward to be at the facility but I expected far worse from a Medicare/Medicaid facility. Staff were very nice and appears to work very hard but I did notice that they are short staffed. I am aware that most healthcare facilities are short staffed so I tried to understand the delays in non emergency care. I think it is as good as it gets unless you are willing to spend more money for a private pay nursing homes.

Experiencia positiva: I try to be as an honest as I can possibly be when leaving reviews because I use them myself to conduct business. Whenever there’s a disconnect amongst the TEAM, it reflects on everyone. Overall, this place has a pleasant atmosphere. There have been a few times I’ve wished common sense was used in a few instances but no one is perfect. I would recommend this location over another skilled nursing facility, I will not mention. Visit your loved ones daily if possible. Stay consistent. Show up unannounced and pay attention to the little things. When you have a concern, bring it to the attention of a staff member and follow up.

Experiencia positiva: I dad had a bad experience in there and I got him out early. Jonathan called me about my concerns and was very compassionate. He listened to me and assured that he would make sure everything is taken care of. That made me feel better about the situation.

When I called the front desk) at night) there was either no answer or I was HUNG up on.When a patient needs help, instruct your staff not to ignore them. Also, some of your night staff are rude and non-caring towards patients.If they don't want to help the patients,they need to find another job.

Experiencia positiva: I was visiting my friend today as I have for the last month at the Beaufort Health and Rehab facility. Im always impressed at how clean and well maintained the facility is. More importantly is their staff, from reception, nursing and therapists, they are friendly, cheerful and professional. What a difference they make for people with physical and mental challenges. My friend, who is there for rehab, is very comfortable with his room and services provided, and especially his care givers.

Experiencia negativa: How can you tell someone with an open wound in their back to not call a nurse to change your diaper that someone will be by within two hours. Worst patient care and bedside manner. You are at a facility for wound care and they do not even know how to put it on properly!!! If you are at a facility for wound care and they cannot treat you properly how can they deny that you go elsewhere? Do not go here or send your loved ones here. This place is trash!!

Experiencia positiva: Recent rehab after hip fracture, 95 year old woman, 4 week stay. Staff from all departments, esp nursing and rehab, are caring, compassionate. Am so grateful.

Experiencia positiva: Beaufont was my first choice for rehab after a car accident. The rehab staff is excellent-top notch! The facility itself isn’t fancy nor is it entirely up-to-date, but the nurses and CNAs were excellent. COVID precautions prevented meals served in the dining room, but that’s understandable. The food was OK, a few fabulous meals, a few detestable in my week spent there. All in all, it’s still my first choice should I ever need rehab services again.

Experiencia positiva: My dad was transferred from the hospital to finish his care here. While the staff is individually very nice, there is no cohesiveness in the care. The staff doesn't seem to communicate with each other so they don't know what is going on with each patient. They were going to discharge him without doing the necessary blood work and before he was finished his intravenius medication. Lack of communication between staff.

Experiencia negativa: DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE IF THEY'RE NEEDING REAL REHABILITATION & HEALTHCARE!! My dad is a double organ transplant reciever and was sent here after he had a major surgery in which a large portion of his bowels were removed and he had blood clots. He stayed at the VA for awhile, but then they sent him to this horrible HORRIBLE place! My dad has avoided catching Covid for the past 2 1/2 years and when he got here they put him in a room with a man who wouldn't stop coughing and next thing you know my dad caught Covid. From the time he got to this hell, he was mistreated, ignored, and neglected and ended up not only catching Covid, but a UTI that got so bad he developed a Blood infection!! This place REALLY needs to be investigated and shut down before anybody else's family are subjected to such neglect that it could cost them their life!!!

Experiencia negativa: Staff was really nice. My Aunt's room smelled really bad. Urine and ammonia strong scent. Dirty clothes all in the room. It smelled awful . My Aunt really needs someone to make sure she gets better attention. You never know who is going to be popping up there. Her and her roommate bathroom was horrible. Maybe they are short staffed . I don't know. I will be going by more often to get her clothes and wash them myself and clean the bathroom and room for her and her roommate. Friendliness of staff 5 stars but I don't want to rate anything else at the moment.

Experiencia fantástica: The hallway and patient room was comfortable and pleasant .

Experiencia negativa: My mother-in-law was there for PT for an entire week and they refused to give her her prescribed painkillers. We live out of town and didn't know everything that was going on til we got here. Now she needs to go to the ER for pain because Beaufont refused to do anything about it. I am feeling like she lost a week of her life because of this. I don't know how useful PT is when a patient is in grinding pain.

Experiencia negativa: The day time staff was okay, but the night time staff... HORRIBLE. They have lost or stolen my 95 year old grandmas hearing aids not once but TWICE!!!!! When they have a spot at the nurses desk for charging where the NIGHT nurse is supposed to put them. If you have to put someone in here make sure they don't have anything expensive in there with your family member, it cannot be trusted.

During my mother's stay, most of her basic needs were ignored unless family was present to insist upon providing minimum care. Many of her doctor's orders were delay or ignored. The front desk staff and PT/OT were more attentive and the only reason for a higher rating (not zero stars). Beware: at least one of the 5 star ratings is from a staff member

Experiencia fantástica: The staff was so helpful and excellent. They were very professional and courteous. They attended to our needs as we waited for a notary to come. We were there 2 1/2 hour waiting for one of the nurses to come in on her day off and with no call from her the lady at the front desk kept trying until she found out the lady was in an accident. Needless to say we called another notary who came right over and helped us. They stay made sure that we were comfortable at all times. I give them 5 stars.

Experiencia positiva: (My mother was sent there due to severe problems with her feet with instructions from the hospital not to be walking nor standing. Well, the first week she was there they had her doing physical therapy teaching her how to walk.) I am leaving the earlier statement.
