The intake forms ask for chosen name and pronouns, and I was able to have them note my pronouns in my chart from when I first set up the initial appointment. I'm seeing Sarah Osowski for pelvic floor PT. Sarah is great at explaining things, seems very knowledgeable of LGBTQ issues and how those intersect with PT, and was able to do the initial assessment without any internal exam. All the staff are friendly and helpful, the facility is very clean, and it's an easy parking situation. Overall 10/10, would definitely recommend.

Ms. Natalie was patient with me but yet challenged me to do my best and little by little I regained my stamina and strength. She didn’t take excuses and she expected nothing but hard work and for that I’m grateful. I’m much better and very optimistic that I will continue to improve as I continue with my assigned home exercise.

Experiencia fantástica: I had spine surgery in the summer and have been seeing Natalie since. Insurance played around with us and I had a month long gap before I began self-pay appointments and in that time, I got significantly worse. Natalie figured out the largest problem in about 5 minutes and added an exercise that has almost eliminated the incapacitating pain in 2.5 weeks. She’s extremely knowledgeable, flexible, and has realistic views of what level of home workout is doable with a busy schedule. The entire staff is very dedicated. Peyton at the front desk has been fighting with my insurance for 2 months, which shouldn’t be necessary as my surgeon gave me a new prescription after the first denial and I have “great” insurance, but that’s insurance - she’s been arguing with them the entire time, had kept me updated and has never taken out what has to be epic levels of frustration out on me. The techs are great, patient and friendly and they do their best to keep the atmosphere upbeat. I’ve had PT twice previously for other issues, this is a better experience than my last and equivalent to the first - where I was pure self pay so I’m sure they made more than my insurance pays. I have had a bumpy and weird recovery from C5-C6 fusion surgery, to say the least, but this place has provided the best support and help I could have asked for. I only see Natalie, so I can’t personally speak to the other therapists here, but I would recommend her to anyone who needs PT. You won’t regret it.

Experiencia fantástica: In the rehab from my total knee replacement, Rich Linkonis provided the most comprehensive hands-on treatment. He was always pleasant and professional. The mood in his place was so encouraging. Demetrius, his assistant, helped me with every step of my therapy as prescribed by Rich. I would recommend this PT location to anyone, regardless of orthopedic issue.

Experiencia fantástica: TLDR: Central Virginia Physical Therapy is amazing, and should be at the top of your list for physical therapy providers. I have been treated by Andrew at Central Virginia Physical Therapy on and off for many years due to long term effects from back surgery. The "off" years are my fault - Andrew and the entire staff have always been lovely. I've never been made to feel less due to weight, capability, or anything else. Andrew meets me where I am, listens to my concerns, and I'm not afraid to ask for modifications to my exercises or speak my mind if I don't feel comfortable with something. On the off chances I've been seen by other providers when Andrew is out, I've had no issues. After their remodel, the space is even more optimized. They run like a well oiled machine, the iPads allow techs to stay on the same page (even though the iPads rebel every now and then) everyone is friendly, and I have never seen another patient who is unhappy with the care they've received (at least not in the office, haha.) They treat folks from all walks of life, and they are bar none the best physical therapy practice I've been to.

Experiencia fantástica: Unfortunately, my experience has since changed since my initial rating. The lack of professionalism extended to me during a sensitive time was extremely disappointing. I'm not finished treatment and I have not returned because of my last interaction with them. I'm using this time to determine if I should resume treatment at CVPT or elsewhere. The five stars is for Natalie and the other professionals in the treatment area. Negative stars for P and H at the "reception" area.

Experiencia fantástica: I had an unusual situation and Central Virginia Physical Therapy was the answer. I’ve been living temporarily in Richmond. A problem developed in my ankle and a local orthopedic surgeon referred me for physical therapy. My stepdaughter here recommended Central Virginia Physical Therapy because of the care and treatment she has received there. But before I could start my therapy regimen with Central Virginia PT, I was scheduled to be transferred out of the area. However, I asked if, before I left, they could advise me on how to put on and walk in the CAM boot the orthopedist had recommended. The staff at Central Virginia PT was so accommodating and helpful in scheduling the appointment I needed on short notice before I left. Natalie, my therapist, worked with me to ensure that the boot would fit correctly and gave me some home routines to do until I can start outpatient PT at my next location. Everyone at Central Virginia PT is so friendly and generous with their time and their skills. I strongly recommend them based on my experience and that of my stepdaughter.

My therapist, Natalie, along with Ray and Kyra kept me safe and motivated! I wish I could have them as permanent personal trainers. If I ever need PT again, this is the only place I will consider!

I went in with a back pain issue that I had for a long time that was getting progressively worse. Not only did she diagnose and cure the problem, but the knee issue also that I had for 30 years went away as well. The office itself is very organized. They were never late. I felt that the self-pay prices were very reasonable.

The front desk ladies, therapists, PT assistants are always happy to see you and very personable. I have been seeing Dr. Sarah Osowski since my ankle injury in October and she has been absolutely amazing. I always feel heard and never rushed about my concerns and/or questions. I honestly believe I wouldn’t have been physically or mentally ready to step back on the ice at only 15 weeks post op if it wasn’t for her. Sarah has exceeded my expectations and has played a major role in my recovery on and off the ice. Experiencia fantástica: This is a wonderful place to go for PT. Everyone from the front staff to the therapy techs are great! Everyone is so happy and friendly! I am seeing Rich due to an injury. He is magnificant! I am a therapist myself and I know a great one when I see one... he is one of the best! We call him our family therapist because he has treated my dad, brother, stepmother, and myself.

Experiencia fantástica: Very pleased with my experiences at center for physical therapy with Dr. Osowski. I'm an avid runner, was running 50-70 miles per week before my ankle injury. Took a year off to try to fix it myself, couldn't do it. Dr. Osowski is extremely knowledgeable about sports medicine. He set me up with a list of exercises and running schedule which led to me comfortably running again in about a couple months. He is also very easy to reach and responsive through email, which was much appreciated. Highly recommend, especially if you are an athlete.

Experiencia negativa: Terrible place. I tried to set up an appointment for a Spanish speaking patient and they wanted the patient to bring her own interpreter. When TITLE VI was explained to them because they receive Federal Money, they pretty much laughed at me. When I said I was going to report them, they said "go ahead". Outrageous. Later, I tried to cancel the appointment I had made, evidently I went somewhere else, and when I called to do so, they didn't even have my patient's appointment on record. They cancelled it themselves! It is sad and incredible that businesses take advantage of patients, breaking the law and not caring about it.

Experiencia fantástica: I had back surgery in 2012 and was struggling post op. Rich Linkonis was recommended for PT and he saved me! I was able to return to work and had a normal life until 2021, when my lumbar spine required a two level fusion. Again, post op was tough and the pain was still there. I knew where to go- back to Rich and my pain level is nearly down to zero. Everyone in the office, from Melanie and the other folks at the front desk, to the PT assistants, are professional, friendly, and efficient. And of course, Rich Linkonis is the best. I have recommended him several times to friends and colleagues. And oh, by the way, I live 2 hours away from his practice but I knew it was worth the drive. I trusted Rich twice and would do so again!

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been going to the Center for PT for a few months now to get to the root of my chronic neck/shoulder pain. It came highly recommended to visit Dr. Rich! There has never been a request too large or too small for him. He is truly a great doctor and provides excellent customer service. Also is equipped to do dry needling which has been extremely helpful in my recovery. Quite frankly, I love the entire staff, as you spend a lot of time with them as well. Ms. Melissa at the front is so fun and personable, and Ms. Patty in billing has made my life so easy and deals with insurance 100% of the time for me. I never have to make a call. Experiencia fantástica: I have been to see Dr. Linkonis for 2 separate issues that have been plaguing me for months or even years. He has successfully been able to solve my pain and limited range of motion caused by the injury! I went the first time for plantar fasciitis that was severe enough to put me in a boot for a few weeks. I went from boot to running in about a month. I was able to start training for a 50k pain free with in 3 months. It's been over a year and still feeling good! He also treated my frozen shoulder that had bothered me for well over a year. He was able to help me regain range of motion and build strength. I would highly recommend him to help you recover from injury or surgery!!

The treatment I received was excellent and uncomparable to other physical therapy centers I have been to for other issues. Rich was patient in answering all my questions, he took time to work with me extensively. I never felt like he was rushing me so that he could get to the next patient. The assistants and other therapists that work there are very attentive and very organized. I never had to wait in between exercises to get their attention. They were always spot on with instructing me on what to do next. Most valuable is that I am now pain free and have full use of my shoulder. They are very knowledgeable as well as caring. I can't find enough positive words to say about Rich and his team.

Experiencia fantástica: After rupturing a disc last fall, I was referred to Dr. Linkonis by a friend who is a golfer and very physically active person, much like myself. Rich and his team worked with me for several months, providing specific stretching and strengthening exercises based on my diagnosis. With their help and care, they helped to take me from an incapacitated person unable to walk without great pain back to working out at the gym and playing golf again.....with no pain! Experiencia fantástica: I had sever shoulder and knee pain when I was referred to Dr. Rafeei's center for Physical Therapy. The medical doctors I was seeing were recommending surgical operation to fix my shoulder. Dr. Rafeei suggested a special therapy to mange the pain and avoid surgical operation. After 10 sessions both my shoulder and knee pain are almost gone. I strongly recommend to visit Dr. Rafeei's PT office before deciding a major surgery.

Experiencia fantástica: I came in with a 1 year old meniscus injury that was constantly bothering me but I was also really worried about why it was hurting so much after so long. After receiving physical therapy here, I rarely ever feel any pain! For the days that my knee is acting up a bit, Dr. Andrew has taught me exercises that make it feel better and will help in the long run. The knowledge he had and gave was unlike any other from previous doctors I had seen and it has eased my mind to know that proper physical therapy was all I needed. They gave me at home workouts during the week in between workouts. I had trouble moving my leg in different directions and Andrew knew exactly how to fix the situation and what exercises to recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: Posting this for my mom, she was receiving therapy for an ankle injury. She said everyone was very kind and helpful, offering encouragement and support as needed. My mother has other health issues that slowed her healing process, but Dr. Linkonis made sure they would not prevent her from reaching success. She says that although it took a lot of work in therapy and at home, her ankle feels so much better and she is so grateful for this office. She is so glad to be out of her ankle brace and off the anti-inflammatories thanks to this place!

Experiencia fantástica: I had physical therapy at this facility for my foot surgery rehab and my left shoulder injury. I had excellent therapy from all the therapists there but especially, Andrew. He was gentle but really knew how to work my muscles to be so beneficial to my healing. They were very punctual in getting me in on time and took a personal approach to everyone who came in. The receptionists were very nice and friendly. I would highly recommend this place for physical therapy of any kind.

Experiencia fantástica: I highly recommend Richard Linkonis because of his dedication to helping patients recover – even from long standing muscular-skeletal issues. When I initially went to Rich in 2015 I was using OTC and prescription drugs to control pain caused by scoliosis, osteoarthritis, multiple compressed vertebrae and severe muscle spasms. Previous Physical Therapists had been unwilling to tackle such complexity. Rich changed my life! With a lot of patience, extensive knowledge and experience Rich has been able to help me achieve comfort, strength and a better life. I still see Rich for his help and I highly recommend him. His personable approach and compassion will exceed your expectations.

Experiencia fantástica: My first visit to the Center for Physical Therapy was when I had frozen shoulder and my orthopedic doctor recommended Dr. Rafeei for physical therapy. He walked me through exercises, and after several sessions of working on my shoulder, he rescued me from a potential surgery. I have never had a recurrence after seeing Dr. Rafeei. I also had achilles tendon problem, and Dr. Rafeei was able to fix it by acupuncture and physical therapy. This is the center that I can trust. Excellent service, staff and a highly professional and knowledgeable Doctor.

With the therapy received from Andrew and company here. Experiencia negativa: So my brother goes here twice a week and yesterday he heard a assistant telling the new hire therapist that he'd enjoy working there that it's a freak show every day. I am so outraged on so many levels. That's how you see your patients? My brother will not be returning here.

Experiencia fantástica: The PT services at this Center are consistently outstanding. I'm getting 'up there,' so in the last 10 years I have needed care from time to time, despite my yoga and good exercise. You can tell a place is well run when the same staff is there year after year, and you are welcomed warmly by people you know and trust. Good PT is both art and science, and I have found myself feeling grateful on a number of occasions when I thought I might just have to live with my ailment--and they proved me wrong! I would never go anywhere else.

Experiencia negativa: Very rude office staff. They are quick to dismiss your questions and concerns, not helpful at all. Also, many times if I call within 1 hr of closing time, they refuse to answer the phone. Difficult to get anything accomplished with these people as far as administrative arrangements like scheduling, coordinating between them and primary Dr, etc.
