Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation at Unity

Experiencia negativa: The worst run place ever! Made an appointment 10 days ago, due to heart failure. Doctor sent orders prior to scheduling. Spoke with the same woman from beginning to end. Told my insurance would cover in full by her and my insurance. Upon arrival at 8 am, again 10 days later, she suddenly tells me, after finally looking at doctor’s orders, that insurance won’t cover me because my ejection fraction is far too high. As though I understand what this means? In fact, I thought it meant I was too high risk, when I had just explained my fear of doing cardio without someone nearby. I left distraught! Contacted my doctor who explained that the high number was actually a good thing, which was why insurance might not pay. Does not matter, as I would not send my worst enemy here! No excuse for this lack of responsibility! Then she tried to blame the doctor when she had not looked at the notes that he sent!

Experiencia fantástica: I had a great experience with rehab after my heart attack. Just what the doctor ordered! I did much needed exercise and learned a lot of lifestyle information. Carol was my favorite nurse. She was so kind, caring and compassionate. ❤️
