Experiencia fantástica: Talk about dysfunctional! Try and schedule a covid test.. Seriously..try to. You will be forwarded to multiple people first and then eventually be left on a line with John cougar meloncamp blaring for 60 mins.Months later I have a new found appreciation for these guys.Very good reviews for the Gastro dept 5 stars to them
Experiencia negativa: The pharmacy is horrible. I had a med order and they NEVER told me about and never filled it. Instead, they said you have to specifically have to ask for that med, even if the doctor sends them an order. I picked up meds thinking I received them all. Horrible!
Experiencia negativa: Is it standard procedure to request SSN when booking appointments? Never seen that before, and they wanted to charge me $450 just to see a doctor. I had to cancel the appointment. That lady on the phone didn't know if I had to see a podiatrist or a dermatologist even after explaining the problem to her. They wanted to do a trial and error with me. She went like, 'we'll book you with a podiatrist and if it doesn't work, you'll see a dermatologist''. Really? So you're charging me $450 to see a podiatrist and if it doesn't work, you'll take another $450 to see the dermatologist? Before the bills for actually diagnosis and treatment comes? No thank you.
Experiencia fantástica: We are very happy with and grateful for the care which Dr. Tobjorn Morkeberg DO provided to us. He is extremely knowledgeable and thoughtful and arranged for us to see a specialist within the Olmstead system immediately. He goes the extra mile to make sure your problem is resolved, including giving us a follow up call the next day. We could not have made more grateful.

Experiencia fantástica: I just got home and had to leave a review on my experience. The women who took care of me tonight were the best health care professionals I’ve had in a long time. I’m traveling from out of state working at Mayo but my insurance was for Olmsted. But my nurse and PA were AMAZING. And i feel like we don’t take the time out to leave our good review stories. I arrived at 8:05pm and am already in bed at 10:17pm recovering from my mini I&D. I’ll be able to get enough sleep to wake up and care for my patients tomorrow! ❤️❤️ This is why we take care of each other. We all have important roles in our community and it truly matters when someone gives their all to their patients. I appreciate the care I received so much!
Experiencia fantástica: I decided to try Olmsted Medical Center, when I couldn’t get in with my regular provider at the Mayo Clinic, where I usually do my healthcare. I was delighted by the cleanliness, and the outstanding service that I received at Olmsted Medical from my initial call for appointment to the end of my visit. I will use this clinic for my next visit!
Experiencia negativa: Very disappointed with lack of clarity of costs upfront. Insured for free eye exams, but not here. Was misinformed to come here, and they were not clear upfront with costs. It's the responsibility for clients to know their insurance, yes. But it's also the responsibility of the any seller of service to be upfront of their pricing. $440 for an eye exam is highway robbery, relative to where you can go without insurance in the city and only pay $75. Extremely disappointed with their billing and pricing management. It seems they are taking advantage of their clients, in this manner. Very sad.

Experiencia negativa: Very very very disappointed I came in as soon as I heard my 73 year old grandfather was being brought here by ambulance I understood that they could not let me go back right away being that the ambulance had not arrived yet but I then was made sit in the waiting room for an extra 30-45 min after the ambulance got here I have been brought too Mayo many times by ambulance and I always had my family waiting for me as they brought me out of the ambulance I should be aloud by his side as he arrives this was ridicules

Experiencia positiva: OMC is the best medical facility of its size, I've been to, possibly right next to Cleavland Clinic. They must stress kindness and accommodating the patient, it shows from all folks who answer phone, phone nurses & providers, particularly Dr Hocquart, neurology & Ann Beighley, NP. Sadly with one exception which is why couldn't put 5 stars, that is Steven Adamson, MD. Saw him approx 5 years ago for a year, seemed like a cool doc. I take 2 controlled substances, no problem. Moved back in April, asked him for referral to neurologist, due to symptoms of dementia, he laughed at me. Said memory loss from benzodiazepine, would have to stop it, never LISTENED to me. Have worked most summer w/neurologist who immediately recognized neurological disorder. Moving out of State now, needed Klonopin just 3 days prior to insurance, easily been done by another provider, they just e-mail the pharmacy. Sleeping in my truck, waiting to leave I got cold, longhauler of Covid, the body loses ability to regulate temperature, esp cold. I got chilled, ended up in motel I cannot afford. Met w/Dr Adamson today, told me he would NOT ok 3 days advance, accused me of ABUSING the medication, which never in my life have I come close to ABUSING any medication, also accused me of not taking another med because it measured low in a blood test! Feeling very hurt, appalled, evertime I tried to correct him on these gross errors & accusations, he seemed get angrier. I reminded him how he laughed at my request for a neurologist & he was wrong, he also laughed when I tried describing a negative experience at Mayo & belittled it. In his anger, says if I said one more word & didn't leave, he'd call security. Couple months back, I met a nurse who used to work with him, told her, "I think he's been there too long" She said she agreed w/me. I left today crying, sat in a restaurant, waitress asked if she could do anything cause I sat there crying. Never did get the Covid test I went for. Patients deserve respect, Dr Adamson, perhaps it's time to retire so you don't hurt others.
Experiencia positiva: Been with OMC since 1989. Mayo kept stalling on my diagnosis and fixing me. Went to omc 2 weeks I was diagnosed and fixed. Been there ever since. Excellent Dr and service.

Experiencia negativa: I went for a general checkup today and had the misfortune of seeing Dr. Heather Nielsen. She grilled me on questions I didn’t feel comfortable answering, raised her voice at me, and divulged the information I had shared with her in confidentiality to my mother. She even added that she wasn’t sure if I felt comfortable sharing that information, even though I was very clearly upset and against sharing. Silence does not equal consent. Just because I didn’t say no doesn’t mean it’s a yes. This applies even if the patient is a minor—doctors should keep private conversations just that—private unless the patient gives clear consent to do otherwise. This clinic needs to be more selective on which doctors it hires. The information Dr. Nielsen shared was not detrimental to my health or in my best interest in any way.
Experiencia negativa: We will not be going back! We decided to give it a shot because they have a evening clinic and Mayo does not (pediatric). The Dr was so condescending, arrogant, compassionate was not existent and he barley spoke a word to my son who was scared to be there in the first place. We will stick with Mayo. OMC - train your medical doctors better. Unprofessional.

Experiencia negativa: For the most part, Olmsted Medical Center has some wonderful doctors. However, it is unfortunate that your experience can vary so drastically from one doctor to the next. My mother, an individual who suffers from chronic pain, had her symptoms completely dismissed by Debra Groth. Who, by the way, is not even a doctor? On the Olmsted Medical Center she is listed as a nurse. I should have looked up her information prior to wasting my mother's precious time. Although these are our experiences, and may not reflect how she treats patients she may deem "worthy." In my opinion, her disgustingly dismissive attitude makes certain I will never have my mother see her again. These are our experiences, and may certainly not be yours - HOWEVER - I highly suggest people to advocate for themselves and always be willing to ask for a second opinion.

Experiencia negativa: I was shuffled around until finally they sent me to Mayo because they were the ones who could help. And then was hit with a ton of bills for things I they told me I needed.
Experiencia negativa: Had me legally listed as dead for a couple years and then tried to charge me for services I didn't get during that time period. Been told one thing by a "doctor" and then another by a nurse and then end up failing a test twice because I was told incorrectly. They told my grandmother shes was having a heart attack when she wasn't and was admitted to mayo for no reason. I would NEVER EVER recommend going to this pathetic poor excuse of a "hospital".
Experiencia negativa: SCREWED UP 2 out of 4 childrens immunization records. One child received extra shot due to their incompetence. Claim she has not been to see doctor since 2016 (15 mo old). She's 4 now. Incorrect information. My own experience to get a yearly physical took 6 weeks and 4 reschedules (all due to doctor being out of office). I don't have a specific doctor, yet I couldn't get in.
Experiencia negativa: Communication between Dr. Jonathon Fields and the nurses, and between the nurses themselves, led to my physical taking 3 hours. I arrived 20 minutes early for my 7am DOT physical. On two separate occasions I waited in my exam room for 30 minutes. During this time I could hear several nurses walking past & conversing outside my room. They entered my birthday incorrectly which made me concerned I'd has have to restart this entire process. Receptionist Jean will interrupt you as soon as she has a thought. Receptionist Lesa is a grumpy grouch who responded to a critical question I had about the administration process with unnecessary waspy cynical snark.
Experiencia negativa: Very poor healthcare! You should be ashamed of yourself for the way you treated me! My chief complaints that you ignored for years turned out to be heart failure. Test results also indicated there had been serious problems with my rotator cuffs for all of the years I complained about and was ignored. My ankle surgery is also failing. I am not the liar, you are and there is proof. You should think twice before you look down at me!

Experiencia positiva: I usually get decent care at this facility but a recent visit to a couple of the departments here make me want to switch somewhere else. The receptionists were rudely talking about me and when I was being briefed by a nurse, she was rude and right when we left that exam room, she bursted out laughing, which makes me feel that these people don't care. I'll just to deal with the OMC staff.
Experiencia negativa: Not a good recent experience at the vision center. Although OMC accepted my insurance information at the time of service, I later received a bill for over $250 for just an eye exam, and my insurance declined coverage.
Experiencia negativa: I've been going there my entire life. Great care, very sanitary( minus the hospital smell). You'll love it. Cams the care.
