Experiencia negativa: North Shore is not good about paying their vendors. Any entertainer doing business with them please be cautious. I was contracted on 2 occasions in 2024 to entertain residents with live music. My invoices and phone messages have been ignored.

Experiencia negativa: The lobby looks nice but once you get to patients rooms it shows how much of a dump this place is.Cords are stapled to the walll, old broken bed in my room, broken tv in my room, shared bathroom, bed had to be 50 years or older and just plain dumpy. Traumatizing experience that lasted me 15 hours. They said I had to give 2-3 days notice to leave and in all reality I could leave at anytime.I don’t recommend this place to anyone.

Experiencia positiva: I’m going rated it 4 stars because my Mother absolutely love working with Daysha who works over-nights. the food isn’t so good nor the AM or PM staff they don’t interact with the residents as much which should change. I thank Daysha everyday because my mother looks forward to her caring each time she’s there.

Experiencia positiva: Some really excellent staff here, especially Karen and Nancy and the activities staff. The negatives are that the room my dad had to share with another resident was way too small for two and there is no place to sit there with him when he wanted to lie down. The dining room is very sparse on chairs too. My dad left with a very down-sized wardrobe, as Laundry somehow lost his clothes that were supposed to be marked when he came in, and it upset him to lose his favorite snap shirt. He had to be in just a little undershirt since all his long-sleeved shirts disappeared until we could bring more. A little disturbing is that they put Depends on him while he was there and we found out after he left that he didn’t need those with his catheter bag and never did!
The team at center works hard to provide quality care and services to the people we care for. Your comments will be shared with the team as part of our ongoing effort to improve. Experiencia positiva: My wifes rehab needed more care than they were staffed for. Good PT and OT 1/2 hour for each per weekdays isnt enought for some cases. Breakfasts were great! Other meals good. Nice variety food.

Experiencia negativa: I have been visiting a friend of mine at this facility since she became a resident here. Other times I’ve visited, staff has been friendly and on occasion not overly attentive but I realize that health care workers are extremely busy so I can forgive that. However, I did come to visit at the beginning of August. My friend invited me to an outdoor entertainment/ice cream social event. Everything was going fine until the wrap up of the event. I happen to be on the activities team at a well run senior retirement/assisted living/supportive living facility here in Rochester, MN. I had my badge on when visiting my friend at this particular event in August. I accompanied my friend inside the building after the outdoor festivities wrapped up. We were waiting to get on the elevator and when it was our turn the Activities director, Theo (I believe her name badge read) was barking orders at everyone and causing much chaos. I stepped into the elevator when she allowed and when I spoke she evidentially didn’t like what I was saying to her. She grabbed my badge and said “Where is it that you work again?” #1-Considering the fact that we are all trying to minimize COVID exposure; she was very out of line grabbing my personal property. It was very rude and invasive and threatening. #2-This is not how a professional, in her workplace should treat guests. #3-Where I work is immaterial. Even though I have the privilege of working at a very honored facility; where I work is none of her business. If Theo didn’t like what I was sharing with her then she certainly should have handled it in a different manner. I am regretting that my friend is a resident at this facility per this encounter with Theo and have serious misgivings about her treatment based on this reactive behavior.

Experiencia fantástica: My dad has been there 3 months now. It's nothing fancy here but it's awesome. All staff members are hard working and friendly. I usually see Mary running around the dementia floor caring for everyone. They genuinely care about my dad and others. The activities director, Theo, is upbeat and makes it fun for all. They seem organized with doing PT, nurse check ups and bathing. The food even looks good! I have no complaints about this place. Recommend business from me!

Experiencia fantástica: My mother has the best care ever at East. Wonderful nurses, lots of activities, I can’t thank them enough. Their Activity coordinator is the BEST.
Experiencia negativa: I was a patient at this facility for only a few days before leaving against the advice of my MD. The facility was understaffed, and I found the staff to be challenged by the working environment. I found that the activities provided, the low quality of food served, and the common areas were all sub standard. The common area did not have padded seats, or couches, which became a concern for creating bed sores. Collectively, it was sub standard on every measurable level.

Experiencia fantástica: Hoping for fantastic cares for my recovering husband he comes there this week
Experiencia negativa: This place doesn't even deserve one star. We picked my grandpa up and there was smeared feces all over the floor. When packing up his clothes there was feces on the bottoms of shirts that had been hung back up like they were clean. This place is filthy.

Experiencia negativa: Used to be ok a year ago ever since new management took over its nothing but drama and turmoil the residents are nothing more than a number on a stat sheet now they care very little for the patients well being.

Experiencia positiva: My mom has been at this nursing home two times in the last eight years. I can not say enough about the excellent care she received. I would strongly recommend the therapy services to anyone that is in need of short term rehabilitation. Also, the activities, especially Bingo and the musical entertainment is such an added bonus. Everyone is so welcoming and makes your stay away from home as comfortable as possible. Thank you.
