Experiencia fantástica: This facility has been wonderful for my best friend. The front reception is spectacular! She always welcomes us when we come to visit. The social services team is caring and have compassion for the patients in residence. There does seem to be a staffing shortage, but I think that is the industry. There were a few very large issues in the first 12 hours, but they were resolved and handled by management. The food could be better, but it’s better than some of the other facilities we checked out.

My roommate in the hospital told me she had been here before so I told the discharge planner Pine Creek Care Center is where I will go. Well I have my roommate to thank. I have been in 3 different places before and this one is by far the best. The staff in every department here are wonderful. The RN’s and CNA’s are always so pleasant and friendly. They answer my light in a reasonable amount of time and they really get to know you. Then they have the students from Unitek College who are learning and very attentive. They come around and do vitals, help with procedures and assessments. They are all so friendly and are all going to make great nurses! Shannon, the activity director is great. She came to see me the day after I was admitted, I was still unable to walk so she asked me what I liked to do. She brought me magazines to read, a book of word searches and coloring pages with crayons. These kept me busy between Pt and Ot Therapy. You will receive top notch therapy if that is what you are here for. All the administrative people are also so pleasant and helpful. And the house cleaners do a wonderful job keeping this place clean. I am amazed how clean this place is and you will never notice any smells. If you need a place for your loved one I would not hesitate. I wish I had known about this place for my Mom because I would not have hesitated. Thank you to everyone at Pine Creek Care Center for helping me get better and walking again so that I may go home.

Experiencia fantástica: My mom was admitted to Pine Creek in January 2023 and stayed till her passing on April 13, 2023. She received amazing care and two people really stood out: Shannon and Angie. These two showed unconditional love to my mom, who was not always easy to deal with. Angie and Shannon truly love their jobs and their hearts are for the people they care for. They made a difficult situation bearable and I'm so blessed that they helped make my mom's last days a little brighter.

Experiencia negativa: If you care about your loved one, do not use this facility. Unprofessional doesn't even cover it! My mom did not get the proper care with regards to her physical therapy. She went in after an extended hospital stay to get stronger sobshe could come back home. She instead got Covid, and they just shut her door to isolate her. I would go visit & she would be just laying in the dark! I opened her blinds & turned in a light. They did not help her with her oral care, which was a huge part of her care because of her other health iasues. Her hair was never combed, and her room was constantly littered with dirty glasses, silverware & garbage. They left her in the same gowns for days. She got a massive bedsore that got infected, and they did not turn her in bed so it got septic & she had to be tranferred to the hospital. The hospital could not believe how bad it was! She was septic. And because she wasn't moved while at Pine Creek, she got pneumonia. She alsobwas not elevated properly & she was severely edemic and she had Congestive Heart Failure so excessive fluid can kill her Her health continued to decline due to the sepsis, the pneumonia and the fluid. She passed 12/31. This facility cares about the money, especially if your loved one has Medicare! We are hiring an attorney as soon as I can handle going outside because my grief is all I have. Please, look for a different place! Try at home hospice which Medicare will cover. Don't leave anyone you love in the care of these people!

Experiencia negativa: I don't know where to begin! The administration team is beyond unprofessional,it almost seems like a third world country facility. Protocols were broken more than once, emails responses not returned, not even so much as to notify me of my mother's passing. During my mother's last days they went so much as to call the police claiming I had robbed my mother when infact I took her belongings to secure them....( They deemed her incapable of making decisions) (Dementia) They ransacked her room in hopes to find financial information to cover her deductible which they neglected to manage properly. I could go on. The nursing staff is mideocre 50/50... it's a job not their passion for some. RIP mom.

Experiencia fantástica: My mother was admitted to Pine Creek Care Center. The entire staff and support staff, from front office personnel, admitting staff, her nurses and supporting staff were AWSOME. I cannot express our gratitude sufficiently for all the angels whom cared for her. Even when at their busiest, they always greeted her with a smile and kindness. I am hopeful we never have the need for their services again, but if we did, this is the place we will be asking for. We are deeply thankful to every single member of the staff whom directly and indirectly cared for her during her stay. I strongly recommend Pine Creek Care Center in Roseville, CA to anyone who has the need for a caring team and facility for themselves or their loved ones.

Experiencia fantástica: Evan Taylor is Marilyn Pearson’s CNA Nurse at Pine Creek Care Center. Evan’s kindness and patience that he shows with his patients has me sharing some special words that management needs to know about, that will help on his annual review. He has a way that Calms you down and during the most stressful situations such as pooping everywhere and then worrying about getting cleaned up! Evan shows such a caring responsible attitude that makes him such a value to all involved! In preparation of my mom’s discharge Evan went above and beyond making Marilyn presentable for this trip back home. God has put you into this position, that you make look so easy, as you make people’s lives so happy! Thank you so much for your wonderful personality, that has touched our hearts everyday that you present us with a piece of yours!! Another CNA Nurse who deserves a special shout-out for going above and beyond his duties is Victor Mendoza! Thank you for making Marilyn smile, even within the most painful situations, yet alone uncomfortable sleeping conditions! God bless you both for your unwavering dedication to your jobs! Don Pearson.

Then both admission coordinators, Valerie and Meagan both greeted us and showed us to Me. Durham’s room. The admissions process was short and went smoothly with the assistance of the e documents and the nurse guiding us through the paper documents. Even received a visit from a patient who came looking for Mr. Durham’s roommate who was on a home visit. He introduced himself and welcomed Sule. Questions were answered timely and Mr. Durham felt comfortable upon my leaving.

You can tell when staff are frustrated with their job or working conditions, and your staff did not display outward signs of burnout. This was evidenced by small social cues of staff making eye contact and smiling or saying hello as guests and family members walked the halls to visit their loved one(s). Those brief customer service oriented interactions make the difference between the public thinking the service seems good vs. not so good. Please pass this on to staff at the next team meeting or in an email. Keep up the good work everyone. This is not an easy industry and your job is tough, but these patients need people like you all.

Everyone I talk to is complaining about it. I had appointment with the staff at 12:00 the other day and I drove around for 10mim waiting for someone to leave, It never happened so when I called they said to park in the fire lane. I’m getting anxiety just thinking about what’s going to happen today when I go to see him. I’m 82 yrs old so I can’t walk several blocks away.

Truly remarkable effort and success in our elderly parent (87) rehabilitation & PT after hip replacement. Thank you Pine Creek for your hard work and dedication, you delivered!

Experiencia negativa: My favorite part of this place is when the nurses can’t give you straight answers! And when you visit your person and he consistently smells every time. Additionally, they really care to get a move on things when you’re there and you’re asking them too, but don’t they promise to do that without you there? One last thing … everyone deserves a break at work. I firmly believe that. However when every single nurse is taking a break at the same time for over 15 minutes and multiple patients are waiting for the care they’ve been promised, not to mention the care they pay for, it’s difficult to sympathize with them that they have a difficult job. It may be hard, but it is still a job where they have responsibilities to take care of for their patients. Additionally, the level of condescension from not only the basic staff at this “care center”, but their “director and managerial level” staff as well, is absolutely THROUGH the roof. Things would run a lot more smoothly if they communicated respectfully, calmly, accurately (they seem to not know their own bums from their heads), and succinctly - but that is much too much to ask. The way they spoke to my mother about care for my grandfather was horrendous and they should feel absolute shame. I hope they don’t speak to anyone else in their personal lives that way, otherwise they must be extremely lonely. Sorry, I had a lot of favorite things about this place I guess! We will be moving my grandfather ASAP & I am genuinely excited to come back and leave as many 1 star reviews as I can. Maybe that will help get the other poor unfortunate souls in there the care they deserve. To finish, Pine Creek is not only

Experiencia negativa: If I could give this place a 0 I would. Do NOT take your family member there. They are a nightmare. My aunt went there and they never helped her. We would have to have family shifts to go there and bathe her, take her to the restroom, change her bedding. They even forgot to feed her a few days. Using the nurse button makes no difference. She was there for 2 weeks and she seen the doctor one time after a week of me calling every day. As for calling daily I had to update them in correct medication to administer her too.

Experiencia negativa: The staff are very rude and unprofessional. One nurse literally started cursing because he was frustrated about something I have no idea what he was angry about. Whenever I tried to get a staff attention no one cared to help and I would just get a bad attitude from staff members. Worst of all the level of care is horrendous. A wound specialist actually looked at my wound where it was bleeding perfously to the point I had to get a nurse redress my wound twice and wound specialist said I see here that this is healing. I was bleeding through the dressing that she didn't care to redress. I didn't notice until after she left. Horrendous experience! Don't come here

She needed much care, patience and encouragement and they gave it in spades. Thank you Pine Creek for all of your assistance with the transition home as well.

Always communicating w me re her condition.Low turnover in staffing creates stability. Good food recreation and spiritual activities too. I sleep well knowing Mom is respected at Pinecreek.

Experiencia fantástica: I just wanna say thank you to all of you and your staff for taking such good care of my aunt Barbara Sturtevant. Thank you you guys are clean and your staff is amazing. They took good care of their residence. This was my aunt Barbara couple years ago before she got sick. I just want to say one thing your facilities, workout room. upgrade their workout equipment and their treadmills and all that I’m sure that there’s a way that you guys can have. Somebody donate. Some equipment for you guys like go to Dick’s Sporting Goods big five all those Debbie willing to help you guys I’m sure it’s a right off for them but they need to be updated in the recreation lounge. That’s another thing that should be updated as well but other than that everything that I’ve seen so far, Shannon is amazing. She takes such good care of my aunt Barb and she loves her so much and Shannon loves her. My aunt Barbara loves her aunt, Shannon is amazing. She’s an angel to my aunt Barbara Shannon’s family. Thank you, Shannon. And there’s some organizations that will help you build and remodel the facility too. I’ll check around and find out. It needs more parking space for visitors can come visit your loved ones needs an upgrade inside the place where they have their lunch. They need to make it more better for them on the outside the back door where they go and sit needs to be grass make it pretty nice plants so they can enjoy life what little they have left need some upgrades, so do some upgrades

Experiencia fantástica: My mom has been in and out of skilled nursing for years.this really is one of the best ones in Nor Cal. Mom has been in one from Menlo Park to Pacifica And three Sacramento and they treated her very well. They even helped me print out some DPOA docs I was able to email and they printed them for me.

Experiencia fantástica: The nurses, CNAs, and staff are outstanding. They are very friendly and professional. My mom was there for over a month and I never had a complaint. They were not able to respond to requests right away sometimes, but that was understandable as they were helping other patients. The food looked good as well. The staff kept me informed throughout of her stay and let me know of progress and when she would be looking at being discharged.

Experiencia positiva: The parking here is absolutely horrendous!! The parking lot is so small. I would suggest getting here at least 30 min ahead of schedule because you WILL have to sit and wait for a parking spot. The facility looks clean and the staff that cares for the people are sweet. Front desk guy is not so friendly. Didn’t smile or say hi, just super short with an attitude.

Experiencia positiva: The employees are very nice. There was a CNA named TiTi that was great. He gave my friend a wonderful shower and helped her room mate with what she asked for. He was very personable. I’m sure that all employees are wonderful here. I had a very nice visit.

Experiencia negativa: If I could give 0 stars I would . This one star is okay though. First of all I want to say this facility is very clean and the stuff are mostly very friendly. My review is for the staffing manager . I really don’t understand why you post shifts for registry staff l but then treat them like garbage! I booked a double shift almost 2 weeks ago, it was sitting on my calendar up until almost 3.5 hours to start of the second shift before the shift was cancelled No prior notice no heads up , not even enough courtesy to cancel it in a timeframe in which I could have been able to pick another shift! This is very inconsiderate and heartless! I came from far because it was a double shift , half the pay for the shift went into transport expenses. We are real people with real lives ! Be human for crying out loud . That money was already planned for , the one shift wasn’t worth all the trouble I went through! I know you don’t care and most likely no one will do anything about it or even read this but if by any rare chance anyone from there see this , Please tell whoever is in charge to stop being so cruel . I’m not the only person who they’ve done this to, I should have listened when the others were narrating their ordeals with this facility or whoever is in charge of staffing !!

Experiencia fantástica: The staff at Pine Creek Care Center are truly AMAZING! They are patient, kind, hard working and very attentive to the people they take care of. I was so impressed to see such a professional staff! My dad was a patient at the center for two months and he received FIRST CLASS treatment! All of the patients are well taken care of in there and seemed to be happy and engaged. Neela and Michael were always EXTREMELY helpful and answered all of my questions whenever I went to visit. They also kept me informed of my dad’s progress at all times and were never too busy to return my calls. I am truly grateful to them for all they did. My dad was blessed to have an exceptional nurse named Karendeep Kaur Toor who went out of her way to ensure my dad was always comfortable and happy. She was his Guardian Angel while he was there. Another staff member named Aaron would visit my dad on a regular basis to ensure he received his physical therapy in the exercise facility down the hall. He always had time to listen to my dad’s stories and pretended that he had not heard them several times already. I cannot say enough good things about the WONDERFUL team at Pine Creek. I highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a first class rehabilitation facility for a friend or family member. I appreciate this team more than they know. THANK YOU!!!!!

Experiencia fantástica: Staff is super nice, helpful and facility is totally clean. No creepy odors. Patients who are able/active seem engaged and happy. I was pleasantly surprised after so many skilled nursing horror stories!

Experiencia negativa: My mom broke her arm and cut her knee in a recent fall. She was sent to pine creek. She had the worst care at this place. They never checked her knee until I noticed she was getting red and swollen down to her foot which was turning black. I informed the nurse they still did not take care of it. I had to call multiple times I left multiple messages for Ashley H in social services who never returned my calls. Some of the nursing staff was extremely rude to my mom. She was in a lot of pain with her broken arm and they never answered her call button she had to actually get up and go to the door and say help me! they would roll their eyes and say what do you want? They never gave her pain meds on time. Sometimes hours late and she was in extreme pain. No caring from staff at all at night the nurse was actually sleeping at the desk with her head down on the desk. I went in to speak to social services and would wait at the open door expecting someone to say how can I help you but Bailey and Ashley H continuing to have their personal conversations would just stare at me until I barged in and said HELLO! The only time Ashley acted like she did anything was when I went in person to confront them! I gave them multiple chances to fix things and speak to their staff about how to respectfully speak to a patient Not to mention this place is dirty! Never saw them mop the floors it is no wonder my moms knee became infected. To make a long story short the last day my mom was there she decided to leave because of the bad care she was getting we took her to Sutter hospital. They admitted her and rushed her into surgery for her infected knee. The doctor said if they do not do surgery immediately she will loose her leg. I am disgusted with this place! The only nurse that I can say was kind and treated my mom with respect was Malcolm and some of the CNA's.

Experiencia negativa: Staff were nice but generally not available. Did not even take the time each day to write their names on the boards in patient’s room which made it difficult to communicate and resolve issues. My mother (90 yrs old) got Covid while she was there after avoiding it for the past 2 years. The staff do not consistently follow their own covid protocols! Sent my mother to her assisted care facility (after she complained and we questioned the difficulty she was have breathing) in such a poor condition that she ended up in the hospital the next day! The physical therapists were supportive and kind and did the best they could working with her in the room since she couldn’t go out due to Covid, but of course they were very limited. Social service staff were very helpful. Definitely not the experience we were hoping for and NOT a 4 star operation! **UPDATE 6/11/23 - I was happy to receive Pine Creeks response that they wanted to speak with me but have to report that I called to speak with them 6 times and was informed that they would contact me…they never have called!! I have to believe their online response was just an attempt to appear interested in improving their service for the benefit of people who might read my review

Experiencia fantástica: Staff has been very kind & respectful! It is difficult to watch your loved one’s abilities and will to live deteriorate before your eyes. The staff have done everything possible to make her comfortable. Rehabilitation was impeded despite staff efforts. Thank you for everything you are doing for my Mom!

Shannon the activity’s director has made such an impact with my mom and she truly cares about the residents. I can truly say it’s like home having her back. Experiencia positiva: My mom is at your Roseville facility and doesn’t have text or emails. I am her advocate. She is kind and doesn’t complain much but biggest gripe is the food. Most hot food is served cold (grilled cheese sandwiches, soups, pasta) Not even luke warm. Inedible. Couldn’t cut pancakes with a knife, eggs rubbery, toast taste like it was leftover (same for the sandwich bread). There are some of the meals that can be good and warm to hot which is pleasant. Overall staff have been great. Occasionally she’d have to wait for two hours for someone to assist her from bed to wheelchair and back. She does understand that the staffing is short. Super happy with her PT.

Experiencia negativa: Yesterday, I went to visit a friend who'd been at Pine Creek Care Center for about 10 days. I didn't know that I would help her to leave the facility AMA (against medical advice) that afternoon. My friend is a smart woman and former nurse. She knew the care she was receiving was sub-par. She tried to tell her story to the doctor, to two or three social workers, and to anyone who would listen. She kept detailed notes on her iPad - dates/times/names/actions taken and let people know she was doing so. The staff rolled their eyes. While there, my friend was over-medicated, under-medicated, offered medications that belonged to other patients, and basically left in bed 24/7. (In 10 days she had just two or three. physical/occupational therapy sessions.) The facility is dark and depressing. Equipment is outdated. My friend was in a bed with a wood frame. The facility's shredder grinded and groaned all night long on the other side of her bedroom wall. She couldn't sleep. Her nightgown was sent to the laundry and never returned. She asked for a Tylenol and waited four hours to receive it. Staff informed her that discharge decisions are made on Wednesdays and she would have to wait almost a week to the following Wednesday to learn if she was "approved" to go home. My friend has full insurance coverage. There is no incentive for the facility to discharge her. Minimum rate is $325 per day. After listening to my friend's story, I said to a staff person. "I think she'll be healthier and safer in her own home than she is here. Do you agree?" He said. "Yes." I asked my friend, "Do you want to leave?" She said, "Yes." "Today?" "Yes." I packed up her few things. We notified staff. She signed some papers. I drove her home. She said, "I feel like I've been released from prison. I think I'm going to cry. Someone finally listened to me." I would die at home before I allowed myself to be sent to this facility - or to any nursing home facility. Unfortunately, I think this is the common state of nursing home facilities. Patients don't count. Profits do. Anyone/everyone in a facility like this one needs an advocate.

Experiencia fantástica: My 86yr old mother is receiving wonderful care at Pine Creek skilled nursing facility. They have a great re-hab/exercise facility to get folks back on their feet and closer to independence. The Nursing staff are kind and patient, and the food is tasty. Thanks Pine Creek.

Experiencia negativa: My concerns about this care home: letting someone in after they pushed the bell several times and not checking the contents of a duffel bag or suitcase. Allowing me to wonder the halls looking for my mom. Lack of help. Hair and stains on the bottom sheet. Dried food stuck to the bed remote. We had to clean it off. Pushed the red call button for a nurse and they showed up just over an hour later. The CNA for my mom did listen to my concerns and was helpful, but the safety concern I have for the staff and patients needs to be addressed and changed.

Experiencia fantástica: I was impressed that the usual smells in this type of place was not there! The place was clean also. The CNA's were very good with the patients, very caring and careful. I worked Healthcare and I was impressed.
