Valerie, the front desk receptionist is professional ,friendly and lovely! I meet Tom, PT, DPT, CMT PT for evaluation and treatment who is exceptionally nice, extremely knowledgeable, professional, attentive, oriented , excellent and skilled physical therapist! He is very easy to talk to and takes time to listen to my concerns and answers all questions I have! Tom also has years of experience working with runners which is my most benefit as a marathoner! Tom. discusses my condition and exams my knee , massage my R calf to help straighten my R knee! He comes back with exercise plan and explains how to do these exercises in gym! Experiencia fantástica: I went to Balance because I need to replace both knees, and PT is the first step to a surgery that I really do not want. I was fortunate to come under the care of Rahul, a seasoned professional. His initial evaluation was thorough, and the exercise plan that he developed was spot-on. My workouts were strenuous and challenging, and I often mildly complained, but he remained encouraging and kept me moving forward. I just fininshed my sessions, and both knees are stronger, sturdier and in much less pain. Thanks to Rahul, I am back to walking long distances and dancing, both of which I love to do, and surgery is on the back burner. Balance is the perfect setting to heal.

He always explained the exercises thoroughly and made sure I understood them. He made sure my questions were always answered, if I had any. I felt challenged when I needed to be. Most notable standouts include PT Rahul and his assistant Brynn who took the time and care to help restore my shoulder back to normal after a rotator cuff surgery repair. Rahul took the time to explain and educate the reason for particular exercises. He’s professional, energetic, and wonderful to work with. I’d recommend my family and friends to Balance PT and Rahul.

Experiencia negativa: This place is a joke. They can’t seem to get it together. I called days before my surgery to set up PT for afterwards. The girl on the phone didn’t seem to know what she was doing. I tentatively set up a few dates knowing I might have to reschedule. I called today to schedule for another location since they didn’t seem to have availability in South Salinas. They sent me up in Ryan Ranch. A few hours later, they called to tell me they are not in network with my insurance. Why did they not figure this out over a week ago when I called them? Now I have to find another place.

Experiencia fantástica: Friendly staff and environment. Rahul is great to work with. He is patient but will push you to work harder. I believe his program to rehab my knee injury helped to avoid surgery.

Experiencia negativa: Had a great experience with Alexis Reinbolt. She's very knowledgeable in pelvic therapy and in other care providers, generally helpful, has a great interpersonal demeanor and care for comfort, and her plan of care and approach were far superior to therapy for this issue I've had in the past. I'd love to keep working with her. Low rating is for the clinic. I was referred in Aug and they scheduled eval for Oct, and they would only let me schedule 3 visits. I questioned that since they were clearly heavily booked, and was told they pushed evals so far out to ensure availability of subsequent visits. That wasn't the case and no one at the clinic affirmed that practice. I wasn't able to get even weekly visits until Feb, and I feel it greatly affected the progress I made in care. I could have avoided this by scheduling the start of therapy further out to ensure regular visits at least to start, which I would have done if given correct info. When I arrived in Oct for eval, they had a posted policy of not billing insurance for pelvic therapy, which was the first I'd seen it despite some communication with the clinic prior, including patient agreements. I was told that my plan of care had been established prior to the policy, and they'd bill through that course. They did so from Oct to Feb. At one point to renew an auth I was given an assessment survey by another therapist or assistant, which was also a customer satisfaction survey for the clinic and not disclosed to me as such. I find that wildly inappropriate, esp since the survey didn't assess all areas we were working on. It's not an insurance or state requirement; I've seen that nowhere else ever (I have had and currently am in a lot of other PT). In Feb I had to cancel some visits due to covid infection and was in communication with therapist and clinic during that time. This Monday they called to tell me they would no longer bill my insurance since it had been a month. Then it was bc my auth had expired (already been renewed a couple times), then it was bc I had canceled visits (no one told me this before), then it was bc my plan of care had expired (no one could explain why/how, since therapist and I had intended to continue on the same course), then it was whoever told me they'd bill through the plan of care was wrong and left no notes and doesn't work there anymore, and they haven't been billing insurance since Oct. I'm not certain, but I think the person who checked me in and told me about continuing to bill still works there. I think they were a different person from the one who initially scheduled me. On Mon Hanna promised to investigate this and try to work something out and call me back; it's now Fri and no call. Ghosting is not an appropriate way to discharge a patient and a long time to be in limbo about being able to continue therapy with so few options in the area. To be clear, Balance takes my insurance, and to my knowledge would bill it for regular PT. It's now their policy not to bill any insurance for pelvic pt, and it's worth noting their cash fee is higher than the fee they submit to my insurance, and several times higher than the reimbursement they get. You won't find this policy reflected on their website, I was never informed of it on the phone when making appointments, and to my knowledge they have only one pelvic therapist when their site mentions two. Discontinuing someone's case or plan of care for a certain period of illness is something that should be communicated to patients; it's unclear to me if this is their policy, or if the front of house staff who apparently inconsistently know the policies also don't understand that documents don't decide on plans of care, therapists do. They told me my plan of care was discontinued before consulting with my therapist. I pay up front for a good amount of care when I have to, so I probably would have done that here if not for this nonsense, because the care itself was very good. I'll pay for non-reimbursible care before I come back here.

Rahul was professional, knowledgeable and positive with Chase during this difficult process of being an injured athlete. He even worked around his school schedule and kept me in the loop of rehab every step of the way. Rahul made me feel comfortable knowing my son was in great hands to get back to playing sports! He immediately establishes a good rapport with his patients and interacts with other staff members in a very respectful manner. He allows me to push myself during our PT sessions but also is aware of when to hold me back from pushing too hard. Experiencia fantástica: I went to Balance Physical Therapy on John Street in Salinas the day after I got home from the hospital after total knee replacement. I couldn't be happier with the Balance PT. I was pushed and challenged there to get my extension and flexion and strength. I was impressed with cooperation between the PTs and techs. I felt very well cared for. My PTs were John Schott and Rahul Bathija which both did an fantastic job. The facilities were very well equipped and clean. I will be back in Feb for by 2nd knee. Experiencia fantástica: Rahul Bathija was a great teacher in showing me the exercises I need to strengthen the area around my knees. He videotaped me doing the exercises, so I wouldn’t be confused when I exercise at home. I would recommend Rahul as a competent, professional and pleasant therapist. Not all of the receptionists were friendly, but they all were professional. I will return to Balance as needed.

Experiencia fantástica: Balance PT was an amazing clinic! I hurt my knee during work and tore my ACL. My job consists of running, jumping and being physically fit. I was fearful that my career was in jeopardy because of my injury. Balance accommodated to my schedule and needs. I was pushed to better physical fitness than I was before my injury. Rahul was my therapist and was amazing. We talked about my goals and what I wanted out of. We created a plan to get my back to my athlete days so I would be better prepared for the type of work. I’m the strongest I’ve been in 5 years, I’m able to do agility movements and run without pain. It’s been 6 months since my surgery and I am grateful to be able to return back to my job with confidence in my knee. The staff was fun and polite. They went above and beyond with assisting during my therapy session. On top of it all, workmans comp is not always easy to deal with but both Rahul and Balance staff kept up to date with session request to make my recovery successful. I’m forever grateful for Balance. John was my therapist in high school 15 years ago and I went back to balance for this injury. I would recommend Balance to anyone who not only wants to get the normal function back but to bring out the inner athlete.

Experiencia fantástica: I went to Balance Physical Therapy to treat a shoulder injury that had been the source of chronic pain for a couple of years. This had limited my ability to play golf, throw a ball, and even do a push-up. My physical therapist, Rahul Bathija, worked with me to increase my shoulder strength, stability and mobility while reducing shoulder pain. Rahul is a great physical therapist and a fun person to hang out with for my hour-long PT sessions. He has sent me instructions and videos for exercises that I can do at home after my formal PT treatments end. After 6 weeks of twice weekly PT treatments, I can now do push-ups, lift weights, and reach overhead without pain. I can also throw a football -- I'm not the greatest quarterback, but there's no pain in my shoulder when I throw the ball! Everyone at Balance is friendly and helpful. They all seem to enjoy what they do and it shows in their positive attitudes. I recommend Balance and especially Rahul Bathija to anyone needing physical therapy.

Experiencia fantástica: After having a TKR on my left knee in the middle of August 2022, I started my my first PT appointment the end of August 2022 and ended the first week in November. For nine weeks Devesh worked on and guided me to a complete recovery. He encouraged to keep up with my exercises and he was right to do so. After surgery my knee had a 10 degree extension & a 95 degree flexion. After the nine weeks, I finished with a perfect full knee extension, ZERO degrees!! and a 121 degree flexion. I can not express how happy I am about the results. My left knee has not seen those kinds of numbers since the late 60's, when I was in my late teens. I am going to have my other knee January 2023 and Balance Physical Therapy is going to be my PT facility again. I would not think of going anywhere else. A Super BIG Thank You to Devesh, Ben, all the other Great Staff and I don't want to the front desk staff as well. I live in Salinas and I am glad to have such a wonderful PT facility here in my town. I had an accident that caused the left side of my pelvis to slip leaving my left leg about an inch shorter than it should be. After going to two other physical therapy offices and seeing 5 different therapists with very little progress I decided to try Balance. Devesh was able to get everything realigned and fully restored my ability to walk. It was a lot of hard work, but completely worth the results.

He has relief my chronic pain of many years. He's had a positive attitude and very optimistic, which increased my motivation to continue to do work so my body improves. The assisting physical therapist that I have worked with have been very professional and helpful. Dr. Devesh, although he pushes you to your limit, has thus far been the only one that has gotten my arm to not ache as much and now I have more movement in my arm than ever before. He takes his time to teach all the different exercises and stretches so I can do them at home. Dr. Devesh makes me laugh through my pain and is a motivator. I would recommend her to anyone coming in for treatment. The support team is friendly, polite and always goes the extra mile to help me and encourage me. When I leave I always feel better than when I arrived thanks to the kindness and expertise of the entire staff. The facilities are very clean, masks are worn by staff and they wipe down the equipment continuously to control the threat of Covid, for which I am grateful!

I am amazed that after several visits with him my pain is al least 75% less than before. I am working full days and can carry on with my life. Thanks Balance Physical Therapy.

Devesh and the team of specialist assigned my case kept me out of surgery. I was listened to and never rushed. I was also given plenty of home exercises and stretches. *Incredible*... If I could give them six stars, I would!

Experiencia fantástica: I came to Balance with a Trendelenburg gait due to 3 hip dislocations and 2 total hip replacements spanning 20 years; meaning, I had a lot of work to do! Balance Physical Therapy has been a clean, safe, encouraging atmosphere for me to work with my therapist, Devesh Digwal. Devesh gave me very personalized attention and listened carefully to my history. He said, “You have been through a lot, but that is the past. Today, we will help you and you will walk better.” It was the most encouraging thing I’d heard because up to then I’d been told I’d have to learn to live with my limp. Today, after 14 visits, I am walking much straighter and with stability. I have more work to do to maintain my new strength and he is committed to helping me reach my goal. I have a new found sense of self-esteem as well because I can do more for myself like walking further without getting so tired! I’ve been told I have a bounce in my step now! He listened to my concerns and developed a custom plan for my needs. Devesh told me not to worry he could make me better and he delivered. Experiencia fantástica: I have been a patient here several times for various reasons since the opening of the first office a number of years ago having been at a couple other PT offices over the years. This one is the best. Schedule early if you need specific times; you'll have the same therapist every visit except for vacations or unforeseen circumstances. Excellent therapists & well trained staff. Equipment is properly maintained in a spacious comfortable area. The owner really cares about the clients. Patients are treated respectfully whether they have mobility issues, sports injuries, or surgical recovery. The emphasis is on educating each person to be responsible for their own exercise routine to achieve the best quality of life thereby preventing future issues. Financial matters are clearly communicated up front so no surprising disclosures, however a fee breakdown is only available upon intense inquiry. I suggest if there are insurance coverage concerns you ask early in your treatment after the 2nd or 3rd visit for a list of what items are being charged, & if any are recommended but not required. Aftercare like ice or heat w/ electrical stimulation can be helpful modes to control pain & facilitate healing that add up quickly when administered two or three times weekly.

My husband has been going for a couple years due to a stroke that resulted in paralysis of left limbs. The therapy he has received by the therapists he has worked with allows him to maintain his strength. It's because of these dedicated souls that he can remain at my side at home where he belongs. John (the owner) is a very professional business man who also attends to patients. The front desk staff are always courteous and friendly. And any issues with insurance are taken care of immediately. I repeat the BEST therapy center in Salinas & Monterey.

Experiencia positiva: I had shoulder problems earlier this year and had Miguel assigned to me. I am back with hip and knee problems and Andy got assigned to me. My only concern is that it is quite costly and after seeing my pt I'm quickly passed on to someone else who usually doesn't have full knowledge about what their supposed to do with me or my problem and I leave feeling like I should and could have done more. I want to take full advantage of my few appointments I have. All in all their a great team.

Experiencia negativa: They make you sign a paper that says you will owe money, but say you won't. If you decide you have had enough and stop then you owe them $800.00. I went three time, they did nothing for me or my Husband. We just owe money? Sign a paper you owe zero -0- dollars.

The facility and staff are all awesome and they made something that has always been a literal and metaphorical pain in my a** really enjoyable. Ashley Dlublac was my therapist and April Bough was my aide through the whole process, and both of them are great at what they do. If this place was in my insurance network I would still be going on a regular basis, but regardless, the time I spent with them was invaluable!
