Experiencia negativa: This place is awful ... Not the staff! I went to visit my friends Mother it was so hot in her room... I ask one of the staff members and the said they had no control... But the hallway was not that hot just the room.... 1 bathroom share with 2 rooms??? The door to enter building was dirty and the paint was peeling off the walls in room Smelled like urine soon you enter the hallway

Experiencia negativa: My mother is in there now. About to pull her out. Food is not good Her medications weren't being given to her correctly and tech would come in at 3:30 - in the morning and wake her up to draw blood and not tell her why. This evening (Saturday) she went to the front lobby to sit while her semi pvt patient roommate had personal care and got up from the chair covered in bedbugs. Staff had to help her pick them off her clothes and get her to a shower. Patients in other rooms can be heard screaming "help me" all night long!!

Experiencia fantástica: I had close family members here I can say their changes before made since mgt and they are no playing no games, when it’s to the individuals that are here, they are making that the ones are here are treated just like family and also the facility is clean and the staff are welcoming.

Experiencia fantástica: I recently visited this place, and I have to say, I was really impressed! The environment is very clean and welcoming, which made a great first impression. The admissions office staff were wonderful—so friendly and helpful. They really made the whole process smooth and easy. I also had some interactions with the business office, and I found them to be very polite and professional. It's clear that the entire staff genuinely cares about the people they are helping. Overall, it felt like a friendly community where everyone is ready to assist. Highly recommend checking it out!

Experiencia negativa: Arriving on Wednesday afternoon greeted by a very rude and unfriendly nurse. A bad start to a bad week. Some of the staff are pleasant and I would recommend ms Tina especially but also nurses ms Dale and ms Joe. I know they got tired of cleaning me up but laying in my feces for over an hour is not acceptable. The food they served was so bad I couldn’t eat it and I am not a picky person. One day before departure they moved me to a different room which was a real struggle but the PT lady very supportive and friendly. The whole place needs an update so my recommendation is to find a different place if you can

Experiencia negativa: Now I'm not saying the staff are bad, I haven't been up there since my grandpa's passing in , but my grandma is there now , I haven't been to see her yet, but when she first got there I had no issue with calling the nurses station to talk with her and now its an issue they say ,"oh well have to call you back" and it's been going on for a month , I have given them my # over a month ago , I know nurses are busy , my grandma and mom used to be nurses my grandma was a nurse 42 yrs! I can't fault them for loosing my number but I'm disappointed they lost it , and beyond disappointed they won't take her the phone . LET RESIDENTS HAVE THEIR OWN PHONE IN THEIR ROOMS !!!! she's 89 id like to talk with her !!!!! Lord's willing I hope they will make a change with the phone situation . Other than that I have no complaints.

Experiencia negativa: This Facility Is "HORRIBLE". They care nothing about the patients and feed them like animals. Everything is outdated and the people that works there needs to be ashamed of themselves to even be in this profession. If they don't have family to look out for them in this place, my advice to you is DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT leave them in the hands of this place. "HORRIBLE "

Experiencia negativa: I have had the misfortune of having to spend time in quite a few of the surrounding nursing homes and rehabilitation centers. And unfortunately Abercorn Rehabilitation Center is by far the worst!! The condition of the facility as well as the staff. The nurses overall, were decent . But the CNA’s were horrible. As long as one of us were with my uncle who was the patient, everything was peaches and cream. But at night when there’s nobody with him it was a different story. Apparently, because he had a stroke, he couldn’t hear, feel, or talk. But he could. He stated that he was talked to with so much disrespect and handled like a rag doll with no feelings. He was left in feces all night until it was time for the next shift to come in. Actually, there’s nothing good that can be said about the place. During the time I spent with my uncle, which was daily for at least two weeks, his room or bathroom was never cleaned, at least not by their staff. But there was one bright shining star there. Her name is Laray Gladney. 3-11 shift. She was never too busy or tired to help you out. Answer a question.Or whatever you needed. Bottom line, don’t let the hospital send your loved one to that place.

Experiencia fantástica: My grandmother has been a resident here for a few years and she has really enjoyed her time here. My mother also had to stay recently after a stroke. My mom was a very difficult patient and not very cooperative, but everyone was extremely kind to her, especially the rehabilitation staff. The office staff are all phenomenal and very easy to deal with as far as payment and such. Yes, they are chronically understaffed, but that is most healthcare facilities. I really appreciate how kind they have been during a very difficult time and how patient they were with my mom even when she was being difficult.

Experiencia positiva: My biggest problem with this facility, is 2 separate times, I bought my mother 10 outfits, 10 jammies, sweatsuits with sweatshirts to match, sweaters, toiletry products, etc.lost alot of money, twice everything disappeared ! Even with names on each product, on each item of clothing. And nothing whatsoever was done about it. The staff I met were very nice, and my mom had no issues with staff. Just the loss of items, over 1 G. I don't have that kind of money to throw away. And this needs to be corrected, in this facility! Other people are in the same boat that we talked to, peoples clothes and items are missing, family addresses it, and it is ignored! Unfortunately, in a way, we have to go back to the place, and I'm wondering, what will be stolen...and lost, this time around.

Experiencia negativa: Absolutely the worst place to send your loved one. After 1 week there my dad was admitted to the hospital for low blood pressure and the hospital found that he was sepsis from the wound on his foot that ARC was supposed to be treating. How did they not know he was sepsis if they were actually caring for him. ARC only informed us that my dad was admitted for low pressure thats it! Let's just say a lawyer has been contacted

Experiencia negativa: I don’t work here or have any friends/family at this facility. My experience with this facility is based on my professional experience as a staff member from a local hospital attempting to set up transportation for a patient of ours who was staying at this facility. I called the facility 18 days in advance to set up transportation for an elderly patient scheduled for a procedure at the hospital I work in. Patient was scheduled on Monday for a procedure, I find out on Friday that the facility did not have transportation set up. I called the facility and spoke to a very rude business manager who couldn’t help, and then transferred me to the administrator. I explained the situation, how the ball was dropped by the nurse at this facility who I spoke to 18 days ago. Per both people I spoke to, they don’t have any records for any transportation request for the procedure, but did have one set up 2 weeks later for the patient’s post-op. I responded that I had scheduled both at the same time so why would they have one and not the other. The administrator failed to admit the problem, and claimed because it was Friday afternoon, there is a slim chance of getting anything set up. I clearly reinforced that this patient is of no relation to me, and that I am advocating for him as a provider, and that it is terrible patient care. This patient would have had an important procedure postponed. She then changed her tone and stated will try to figure something out. I spoke to my VP afterwards, who also spoke to her. Within the hour, she called me back and the transportation was set up for the patient. Facilities like this that do not put patient’s first should not be in business.

Experiencia negativa: This place is very unsanitary and unskilled nursing home. I wouldn't put my dog in there. My mom ended up dying by herself because they didn't check on her at all. Found her in a soiled undergarment on more than one occasion. I have filed a formal complaint with the state for elderly abuse. Trying to bill me for days after her death. I find it very hard to understand why the owner only responds to the positive reviews and nothing for the Unfavorable reviews. YOU are the things that make nightmares

Experiencia negativa: I would not give this place one star !!!! My father in law was starved and abused at this place. The bed sores were worse that the ER doctor had ever seen. The room was disgusting, he was naked most of the time. We had an ambulance come get him, the ER doctor had seen him a few weeks before and was appalled at his condition. He said this was definitely a case of neglect and abuse. IF YOU LOVE YOUR FAMILY MEMBER DO NOt PUT THEM HERE!!!!!

Experiencia negativa: I had my mother in and out of this place in less than 48 hours. On the first night, they wanted to give her Tylenol for her pain when I know for a fact the emts left a package of medicine for her. (End stage liver cancer needs more than fn tylenol)That was the start. She didn't like the caregivers, no one really checked on her, she broke her nose "falling" out of bed and no one noticed. AND she complained that one of the caregivers got frustrated with her and pushed her down. That person is lucky all I did was file a police report against them. DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, TAKE YOUR LOVED ONE HERE!!!!!!

Experiencia negativa: If you're expecting a facility that will communicate with you about your loved on, this is not the place to send them!!! My father was there for only a weekend and as I write this, I have yet to receive themcall back from his nurse to check on his status. My dad suffered a stroke which mostly affected his vision, as his advocate and being with him the entire time he was in the hospital, it was hard for me to send him to a facility where I would not be able to see him. With respect for the staff, I did not over bare them with telephone calls, but I did call twice a day(early morning/late evening) the entire weekend, to check on my dad, only to feel like I was being brushed off, giving excuse after excuse and promised a return cal. It wasn't until Monday morning when I showed up at the facility that I finally received a return call, especially after they receive news that he would be leaving the facility. Once I got him settled I realized his glasses were missing, after reaching out and sending a picture, I was told that "He did not have any glasses because, during the inventory, glasses were not listed". I find that hard to believe when I witness him enter with the glasses he wears daily. A family member informed me that she called and was given the description as the "tall man with glasses on". He was only there for three days, with no communication to his primary family member and his glasses(which he really needs now, because of his new vision impairment) being lost. I can't imagine the outcome had I left him in this facility. I understand that mistakes happen, but when accountability comes into play that's unacceptable. The only reason I chose this facility was from the reviews, so I only felt compel to write a review so that no one experience what I've had to deal with.

Experiencia fantástica: I was very pleased with the entire staff at Abercorn Rehabilitation Center; especially the therapy staff. They encouraged and re-enforced the skills required for independent living, safety and security in the clients. Everyone worked to assist with my husband’s speedy recovery of strength and confidence with his mobility. Thank you and may GOD keep his hands on the staff and their mission.

Experiencia negativa: The worst place I have ever stayed at... The worst food I have ever attempted to eat... There are a few nurses that are some what okay...but the weekend nurses are terrible...I th..ok r rehab after surgery ...if you ever get the chance to stay there... don't.

Experiencia fantástica: I was trying to get home care for a friend of mine who was on Medicaid. No one would take him because they wouldn't take Medicaid. Kindred did, they are the only one I could find who did. Beyond that their care to him went above and beyond the call of duty. I can highly recommend this group of dedicated nurses for home care.

Experiencia negativa: I am surprised they are still in operation. I will not recommend to put your loved one there at all, not even for a day. Sorry....too painful still to talk about it. This memorial day,....
