Experiencia negativa: My brother came to this place. His clothes were taken. He sat in his on feces. No one seemed to care. I saw a lady for two days on a bed sitting in the hall way her Breast hanging out. I said something to the nurse. They had too know she was there. She was right outside their nurse station. Floors sticky dirty place. When my brother passed I heard from no one but hospice.Thank God for hospice. They came in and helped us with him.also It has been passed a month and they still have not sent us his money back. His wallet and social security card was also missing.

Experiencia negativa: I had a very disappointing experience at this facility. The only positive note was the compassion shown by one nurse at the front desk. My friend was transported here on Monday for physical therapy, and upon arrival, he was informed that he had COVID. I was able to contact him until Wednesday when his phone died, and from Thursday onward, I called all day and left several messages expressing my concern for him. Unfortunately, I received no response from anyone. On Friday, I went to the facility after work, hoping to check on him. What I found was shocking. He was left in a state of undress with only a gown across his lap, and the room was filthy. To make matters worse, the air conditioner was broken. I attempted to speak with the lead nurse, but she was incredibly rude. Ultimately, we chose to leave the premises out of concern for my friend's wellbeing. If I could give this place zero stars, I absolutely would. I strongly advise against seeking care here.

Experiencia fantástica: I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Riverview and their staff. My brother with downs syndrome/dementia stayed for a week for respite care and they were really good with him. He was happy, well cared for and we felt comfortable leaving him. They were attentive, called when they had questions and were kind with my brother. We will be using them again. We just picked David up from his 2nd stay here and again they are WONDERFUL. I trust them 1000% with my sweet brother. EVERYONE was so sweet and so good to him. We truly appreciate everything!!!

Experiencia negativa: Begging Financial office to stop the harassment from pharmacy calling a person who can't stand, can't use his hands or feet, bedridden, threatening him that his meds will be cut off, while waiting for medicaid to FINALLY cover him, and the financial office finally submits his paperwork. (I get that medicaid is hampered by the republican leaders who did NOT expand medicaid) After being at this facility SINCE NOVEMBER 2023. Wound nurse yells at him they won't tend to his wounds unless he uses the doc they want him to use, while the doc that he was seeing is being proactive re his wounds. The food is horrible, and he is left in his own feces for four hours last week. Privatized rehab and recovery centers are only concerned with the bottom line and dividends for it's shareholders. Shame. May 20 2024, Book sent to Mr Powell was thrown in trash by uncaring staff. He asked the CNA to place the book in the drawer. The book is now gone. It was signed to him by the author. Mr Powell was AGAIN left in his feces for almost 12 hours. Aug 31- And back to say, he has been left in his feces for hours, and the wounds are getting infected from it. The food is absoultely terrible. Never any fruit or vegetable, cold fries, cold fried chicklen tenders, cold well done hamburger. How can anyone recover with this food?

Experiencia negativa: My Mother stayed at this facility for two respite stays. The second stay she was clearly neglected. Her hygiene was horrible. When we returned home, I cleaned her up, took videos of my findings, forwarded the video to the Director of Admissions Asst, who then sent to the DON (Diane Veiga ) I then contacted the facility, by phone, immediately for an explanation. Eventually, I had an in person meeting with the DON (Diane Veiga). I was given excuses with no real accountability or resolution. My meeting with the Director of Nursing was pointless, I was told verbatim, “ no one will care for your Mother like you.” She set the tone and lack of standards for the facility and staff as a whole. She was detached, passive aggressive and very unprofessional. I've never experienced such unprofessionalism, especially regarding someone's care. She didn't have an ounce of remorse or compassion. Needless to say, my Mother never returned.

Experiencia negativa: I am only giving them a 1 because 0 isn’t an option. I would not recommend this facility to anyone for any length of time. We brought my father here and they were not attentive to his needs, he declined drastically (not their fault but they sure didn’t help), while I was there visiting we would have to repeatedly go ask for nurses to help him, bring water, change him, etc. My aunt and I had to help 2 people who were screaming for help and the nursing staff was inattentive. The level of care is 100% unacceptable. My father passed away there the other day and only the nurse admin called to tell me and offer condolences. Not a single person from higher admin nor the director called me to express condolences nor did they go down to speak to my aunt who was in the room with him after he deceased. Please review all other options for rehab before ever considering Riverview.

Experiencia negativa: My 81 year old neighbor has been in your rehab unit for 30 days. She is STILL unable to sit up, turn herself in bed, or go to the bathroom with maximum assistance!!!!!! WHY??? Therapy should have her doing the above tasks! Her mental health is just as important as her physical health! Therapy should be pushing patients to their fullest ability. If she is not going to become semi-independent let the family know so arrangements can be made!!!

Experiencia positiva: This is a Wonderful very Modern Facility. They bend over backwards to help and Please me. I'm blessed to be here. It has to be one of the Premier Rehab Centers in The SouthEast. The food is above average for Nursing Homes. My Heart Felt Thank Yous to The Staff.

Experiencia negativa: While my Mother was there the staff stole money from my mother's bank account there and they allow her to brake her hip and they really don't care about there residents while they are there..

Experiencia fantástica: This is by FAR one of the best nursing facilities I've ever been blessed to be a part of. I worked as a CNA and truly miss being part of the team. I enjoy seeing all the activities and special things that are done for the residents and staff. Riverview will always hold a special place in my heart ❤️

Experiencia negativa: Never place a loved one at this facility. They do not monitor patients needs consistently and do not have adequate staffing for the needs of these patients. My dads experience was terrible!

Experiencia negativa: Huge nasty egos by the scheduler and the director of nursing who thinks she runs the place, talks down to nurses, staff, patients like they are human trash. Half of the issues here is because of these two people. I am calling the state on their behavior and neglect.

Experiencia fantástica: What a great staff what a wonderful place. Amazing what they did for my dad and our family. 2 months of severe rehab and I could not ask for a better place or group of people. Thank you Pressy and Joe. This facility did such a wonderful job that my dad hated to leave Glad you did all you did so he could come home but the comfort and safety he felt in your care says millions. Current google rating is wrong. These people care and deserve a 10 star. Thank you

Experiencia positiva: My husband has been here 15 days and I am very pleased. I was worried after checking reviews before coming. We chose it for due to location close to memorial. This rehab center is immaculate, his room and all halls are very clean. I go often to the lobby on his hall and it is a private place when he is sleeping. The food is surprisingly good for this type of facility. Recently he had turkey and dressing, lasagne and salad, pasta and shrimp to name a few. My husband has many weeks of rehab and I’m thankful he is here. The staff here has been wonderful to him.

Experiencia negativa: State needs to come in an evaluate this place. My grandmother was here for a short period of time and she told me how she never received her medications on time. The person that she was rooming with would take her to the nurses station so that she can get her medication. She was given a dirty mask to wear while she was there. She was recently discharged and now my entire family has covid and it came from that facility. She was positive when we got her even though they stated she has a negative test but that does not mean a person doesn't have covid. Im pregnant and my 3 young boys, 3, 5, and 8 tested positive along with my grandmother and my husband. My kids are home schooled and we do not go anywhere! The only thing that changed was my grandmother coming back home!!! The health department just called us because of contract tracing involving children and she told us that this facility was on the High Covid List and she asked if we were told that and I told her NO! These people never told us anything, my grandmother and her roommate told me that this facility had covid patients!!!!! Now that is negligent to not let these people family member know that they have positive cases in there! Our health was put in jeopardy due to negligence! JUST BECAUSE A PERSON IS VACCINATED DOES NOT MEAN THEY CAN NOT CATCH NOT TRANSMITT COVID TO SOMEONE ELSE! THERE HAD BEEN MULTIPLE OCCASSIONS WHERE I SEEN PATIENTS WALKING AROUND WITH MASKS OFF OR ON INCORRECTLY, AN EMPLOYEE DID NOT HAVE ON A MASK! I HOPE STATE COME IN ON YALL AND I WILL BE MAKING A FORMAL COMPLAINT ABOUT THIS!

Experiencia fantástica: Our experience with Riverview has greatly exceeded our expectations. Joy Lucke, the current administrator was very hands on and engaged with the care of our loved one.Wanda, her Social worker was helpful and kind. The nursing staff was phenomenal-Linda Miller, Maureen, Robin and many others. Like many other facilities and companies they are at times short staffed and COVID creates a challenging environment with changing rules on. Regular basis.

Experiencia positiva: Many thanks to Riverview Health and Rehabilitation. My mother went to Riverview for rehabilitation following a stroke. The care she received was exceptional. Administrator, Jo Lucke, and Wanda, the social worker assigned to her, visited her room to speak with my mother and check on her care. We worked closely with her therapy teams, dietician, speech, physical, occupational and wound care. Our goal was to restore her to her pre-stroke ability. We exceeded that goal when her stamina was significantly increased. The entire group of therapy teams meet the gold standard. Although it was clear there was a staff shortage, my mother's two cna's service givers, Raven and Shalon(?), were exceptional in service and friendliness. Those two are worth their weight in diamonds. The custodial (Shalonda) and facility maintenance (Freddy) staff were also extremely friendly and helpful. Her space was kept clean and supplies stocked and at hand. Precious and Darcy (Darby), her wound care team are a professional, compassionate and caring duo. My mother was admitted for five weeks and they made sure she didn't get a bed sore. They are like loving family caring for family. When friends and acquaintances heard my mother was going to Riverview, they told us their horror stories until we stopped them. I recommend that anyone who has to use one of these facilities work with them? Be there physically and don't just drop your love ones off and expect the facility to do it all. No one who wants a manicured lawn throws seeds out there without giving attention and hands on care to the process. The one negative staff incident we encountered was with a cna at the entry desk who shouldn't have been there. That problem was handled professionally and swiftly. Everyone from intake to release met the standard our family hoped for and received. Thank Riverview from the family of Mrs. Louellin Campbell

Experiencia negativa: Very disappointed in the way that the staff mistreated && didn't watch my mom.. I must admit some staff are nice & caring but OMG the rest need to be fired... Honestly I feel this place needs to be shut down due to lack of doctors & also there is no cameras around the facility or anything so how would they know if anything happened 2 a patient... My mom also had a stroke that the nurses & her aid was unaware of.. I feel this place needs to be shut down & remodeled.

Experiencia negativa: The phones lines have been a mess for months and months! I haven't spoken to my grandma is 5 months. No one answers hardly. I am so upset. The phone is ringing with no answer as I type this message!!!!! how sad

Experiencia fantástica: This facility has done a wonderful job at keeping cases of Covid to minimum. While no place is 100% perfect this is as close as you can get. The staff and administration is loving and compassionate. They love my mom and she loves them. Thank you Riverview for taking good care of my mom during this difficult year!

Experiencia fantástica: My father was hospitalized and discharged to another rehab center in town. I admitted him into Riverview with his own private room. The admissions worker was outstanding in working with me during the difficult COVID environment. He received great care and I would highly recommend this facility for short term and long term care.

Experiencia negativa: This is the worst nursing home ever . We had to place my mom there due to an injury. She was not taken care of left in her room for hours crying for help to use the restroom or in need of medication. They lie and steal your belongings. Please do your research do not place your family member here not unless you just don’t care or love them . This place should be shut down !,

Experiencia negativa: A parent ended up here due to immediate need for care after injury and we didn't have time to do the research. Not to mention the challenges of Covid-19, the overall care was really bad. Had I written this review at the time, it would not have been nearly as objective, but after experiencing other skilled nursing facilities in Savannah, Riverview has serious issues that need to be rectified. I would never again subject a loved one to the experience we had with this facility. We were only there for 5 days, but it was one snafu after another and literally no excuse for the lack of care, cold food, misplaced personal items, lack of communication, and overall terrible patient experience. I don't like writing negative online reviews but this was a noteworthy experience, and it appears that many others corroborate my opinion through their own reviews. Riverview needs a complete makeover. The reason this is two stars instead of one is because they did make good, as promised, on one major issue that occurred.
