Uriah greeted me by name every time I entered the building. He is calm with a friendly demeanor which is a good way to start the session. Becky, my therapist, is very knowledgeable and encouraging. She explained what I was doing and why I was doing the exercise. I progressed daily, I believe, because of her calm demeanor and consistent encouragement. She challenged me which I loved! I actually looked forward to my sessions. Becky’s interaction helped me mentally and physically post surgery. I would highly recommend Athletico to anyone who needs Physical Therapy!

I had been to an Athletico in the Chicago area and had a positive experience, so I felt the Scottsdale location would work well for me. Let me just say, Scottsdale’s Athletico physical therapists & support staff are the most professional, knowledgeable and supportive group of individuals I’ve ever worked with in helping me get back to the activities that enrich my life! Location is easy to get to, the facility is spotless and has every piece of equipment needed to get you where you need to be. Excellent in every aspect!

I was hesitant because this particular clinic was 40 minutes from my home, but he told me that I needed to see Matt and it would be worth the drive. He was right! I spent time working with Kevin, who was also very helpful. There is a great atmosphere at this clinic. The therapists will get to know you and really want to help you get better. I saw great improvement in my leg. I also have to mention Uriah, who works at the front desk. He has a very calm and friendly demeanor and keeps all the appointments, billing, etc. running smoothly.

Experiencia fantástica: Five star and more! starting from my inquiry phone call handled by Uriah , to my initial evaluation by Brittany Blough and the outstanding, professional and results-oriented therapy sessions administered by Kevin Powers. While vacationing in Arizona from Chicago for six weeks, I needed to continue rehab for reverse total shoulder replacement. I called Athletico-Scottsdale N. seeking a therapist with specific experience in reverse shoulder replacement and one willing to work with my surgeon’s protocol. I was very fortunate to be paired with Kevin Powers. I achieved excellent improvement in range of motion as well as pain reduction, hitting my benchmark targets, all with a positive, empathetic, and upbeat person touch by Kevin The entire staff are professionals who appear to work well together and have created a pleasant atmosphere. Not easy to do with a lot going on simultaneously. I’ve returned to Chicago, much improved from when I arrived in early March and can highly recommend this Athletico location, and would use it again.

They interact with their clients to understand their objective and execute on a rehab program that produces positive results. All the people at Athletico are amazing. I real shout out to Kevin Powers who is incredible. His passion and commitment to help the client was impactful. Kevin is specializing in golf rehab. I did not think I would play golf for another 2 months. Kevin’s program for me enables me to get back on the golf course now. Mental and physical rehab accomplished. Experiencia fantástica: I had a great experience at Athletico. I worked mostly with Matthew, Misha and Kevin who were each great, and together made an awesome team. They were welcoming, understanding, and empathetic, and I learned many new exercises there than I had at previous PT facilities. I was really impressed with how attentive they were. Although my issue didn't clear up 100% before my insurance gave me the boot, I made a lot of progress and would definitely go back. (PS - they play good music there!!)

Experiencia fantástica: I was referred to Athletico by my Sports Medicine doctor for treatments on my leg and ankle. I was fortunate to have Matt Hamilton, an experienced physical therapist treat me. He devised a course of treatment which strengthened my leg and ankle. What I liked about him is that he tailors your therapy to your strengths and weaknesses. Finally, every moment I experienced at the clinic involved doing something to make my physical condition better. When I left there, I felt I experienced a challenging workout. Matt is a very bright physical therapist who has a stellar reputation to go along with his doctorate in Physical Therapy. This clinic is very well run by its Patient Coordinator Uriah who is extremely helpful and caring.

But have been coming here three months postpartum … got rid of my ab gap and been adjusting all sorts of pains and issues with my new breastfeeding, baby holding body. Been a lifesaver. Great staff and always look forward to my appointments. They’re very flexible to me as a new mom.

Experiencia fantástica: After a bad shoulder injury (two full-thickness tendon tears, and other issues) I had surgery. Two weeks later, I started a rigorous PT with Matthew and Kevin. They are knowledgeable, friendly and highly skilled at the craft. As a very active older athlete I had my doubts about being able to return to full flexibility and strength but I dedicated to the process. I am 100% satisfied with the result and would not hesitate to return for future therapy in the future!

Modifications, if needed. Review of home exercises also to maintain continuity of care both at the clinic and home environment. Most likely, I will need to maintain this program to minimize pain, increase functional ADL’s. Kevin was open to review of the exercises as needed. Physical therapists Matt Hamilton and Kevin Powers worked wonders on my severely strained calf — the most painful leg injury I’ve ever had. I could barely sit, stand, walk or drive when I started doing PT. From Day One, they treated me like a friend or family member — not a widget. They took the time to analyze and tackle the problem. They found a program that healed my calf — all with a sense of humor and compassion. Great people. GO there if you need PT!

Experiencia fantástica: Came in with a pain in my neck that was seriously beginning to disrupt my life. Couldn’t sleep, couldn’t drive, couldn’t MOVE! A doctor finally suggested I try dry needling. Never heard of it. Came in to Athletico and Alicia was so empathetic and caring. After the first dry needling session with her I had immediate relief!! I wanted to cry. Within a week I was back on my feet. Thank you, Alicia! You are a life saver.

Experiencia fantástica: Fan-flippin’-tastic. This is the best physical therapy I’ve ever attended. As a former professional dancer (the kind who keeps their clothing on), I was shocked and delighted to find that my P.T. was a ballet dancer as well! Even though I haven’t danced in many years and my current recovery has nothing to do with a dance injury, Lisa is able to “speak my language” and explain certain exercises and their functions using examples of different ballet steps to help me envision what perfect form should look like for each exercise. And she knows her stuff. This isn’t like having some personal trainer tell you to run a treadmill for 40 minutes; this is most definitely an excellent boutique medical experience but with someone who listens to you (unlike some doctors who shall remain unnamed for fear of a libel lawsuit). So worth it!

Experiencia fantástica: Physical therapy is a process and not an easy one. When you experience trauma be it an accident or major surgery you have mental and physical set backs that require help from an experienced physical therapist. I was referred to Athletico after experiencing whiplash from an auto accident. The therapists who treated me where beyond amazing. They are not just there to do a job they care about their patients and treat everyone who walks through the door like they are part of the family. As amazing as they are I know that my amazing progress was not just because of this team. I put in the work I did my home exercises religiously and I kept moving. I refused to let this injury tie me down. I encourage anyone who has gone through a trauma to use a physical therapist during their recovery. The tedious exercises while exhausting at times are what improve your recovery. Thank you Athletico for helping me through this and giving me the tools I need to continue on my journey and athletic abilities. I am running again and back in the gym!!! Life is a gift!

Pain can be debilitating and through your knowledge of the correct therapy, I am pain-free and back to doing the things I love, biking, hiking, walking and swimming. When I began at Athletico, I had so much upper arm pain, lots of arm tingling and numbness and very weak upper back muscles. I didn't know how it could get better and was starting to worry about spending years with this pain. Lisa is very thorough and asks thoughtful questions that really help to get to the root of the issue...and with that comes great solutions as well! Even with a busy travel schedule that kept me out of office quite a bit, Lisa would send me home with bands and exercises I could do anywhere. Experiencia fantástica: I had been unable to walk more than 1/10 mile without significant pain and had general weakness in my right hip After a diagnosis of tendinitis and a Rx for physical therapy, I chose Athletico because of location. The staff was friendly and responsive and Lisa was engaging and very informative. The range of exercises were within my capacity and led me to stretch. I can say, without reservation, that not only did the treatment relieve the tendinitis, I now have more comfort and function in my hip than at any time in the last 20 years. It was an enjoyable and truly beneficial experience and I highly recommend this facility.

Experiencia fantástica: Matthew was highly recommended to me by Dr Rich at the Arizona Sports Medicine Center as the therapist that could rehab this senior adventure traveler's torn up and well-used knees. He couldn't have been more correct. After only two sessions, I can do a squat, which I haven't be able to do for years. I especially like that Matthew explains why he is doing what he does and the connection between the brain and the body in our movements. He will get as technical as you want, this young man knows his stuff! He gives a thorough intake and really listens to what you have to say. Goals are set and you are on your way. I'm looking forward to taking advantage of Matthews knowledge, and hopefully, I'll still be on adventures for more years than I had imagined.

My condition had been virtually unchanged prior to coming to athletico of Scottsdale North. Getting better now. Matthew Is currently a distance runner, AND is a very smart PT. She has been treated by two physical therapists, Matthew & Patrick, and a number of other staff members. Her experience superseded that she received previously at another location. Staff is knowledgeable, pleasant, professional, and truly makes you feel that your rehabilitation is paramount to them.
