Experiencia fantástica: I just finished my second stint at Encompass Rehabilitation Hospital in Shreveport, and my goal to walk out was achieved! The entire staff is exceptional, while being supportive and comforting to all patients. The therapy staff and therapeutic gym are extraordinary and provide all things necessary to ensure patient recovery success. As I told them when I was discharged during my Celebration walk out, I love them all but hope to never need to see them again! But if I do need rehabilitation in my future, that is the only place I will ever go!

Experiencia fantástica: Staff is caring and works to make your stay comfortable and shares goals to see you to successful outcomes. The Physical Therapy Team was top notch and worked outstandingly to help you succeed. The only downside is the Food Service Team needs to be more attentive. On numerous occasions meals were delivered without condiments and you had to ask for coffee at breakfast time. I would recommend the staff Doctors visit with patients frequently to discuss any changes made to their medications. There were so many faces that remembering all the names is difficult but I would give them all a gold star. I would recommend this establishment for Rehabilitation Needs.

Experiencia positiva: The food is horrible. Breakfast is the only thing good and they only give you about a scoop of everything. Therapy is OK but unorganized don’t understand why you don’t shower in the middle of the day. Wake you up at five don’t shower till 1 o’clock have PT and OT backwards

The staff was incredibly attentive, compassionate, and professional, ensuring he felt comfortable and supported every step of the way. The meals were delicious and nutritious. The facility was clean, well-organized, and created a positive environment that truly made a difference in his recovery. My dad often mentions how it was one of the best experiences he's ever had. We are beyond grateful for the dedicated team at Encompass and highly recommend their services to anyone in need of outstanding rehabilitation care!"

Experiencia positiva: Encompass was a turning point in my recovery. This was my 2nd stay and last. The care I received this time was drastically different than what I received in April 2025. In one week, I went from my stump contracted at 33 degrees to 19. These aren’t just numbers — they’re pieces of my life I’m getting back. There are many staff here who shine: Justin in administration, JT from therapy, Ms. Bonita, nurses Olivia, Mary Stephenson, Jamisa, and Kimberly Dale; JT (morning nurse) and Ashley (night nurse); Nurse Serenity; PT/OT staff Sarah Codarin, Morgan, Cheyenne, Danielle, Rebekah, Tangela, Laura, Angela, and Chelsi; CNAs Renee, Evoni, LaQuattara, Tiara, and Angelica; Mr. Scott; and the older custodian who cared for my room so kindly. You made me feel safe, supported, and respected. There were also challenges. I witnessed an inappropriate gesture from an OT staff member toward a former Asian coworker, which was upsetting as a person of color. On my last day, that same OT staff member came in contact with me and stood next to Head Admin Tyra during the celebration line, which made me uncomfortable and, unfortunately, ruined the experience. I hope administration ensures patients who file reports aren’t put in that position. Some nurse techs are not certified CNAs — as a former CNA, I believe a training path to certification would improve care quality. I also had a CNA during my last four days who often seemed frustrated, did not change my sheets, and once turned off my call light while on break. Charge Nurse Kimber addressed this with great professionalism, and I’m grateful to her. Encompass has the power to change lives, but to do so, it must keep patients at the center, support and retain its best staff, and ensure dignity in every interaction. With that focus, it can remain a place where people like me find the courage to walk again. I have no interest in emailing or calling about my experience my time has came and went I hope that the focus can be on the staff that are changing lives in a meaningful way.

Experiencia fantástica: I was so happy with my choice to go to Encompass , they really care about your recovery and the CEO Chris Phillips would personally come by and check on you to make sure you were treated right! I was blessed to have a wonderful team of people caring for me Sammie with PT, Danielle with PT, Mikasa with Pt were all great, Nurses that were wonderful were Angelica, Nana, Serenity, OT was amazing and positive Amanda. Just wish I could come back and finish my recovery!

Experiencia fantástica: Well, I improved immediately upon moving to EnCompass. The PT and OT teams got me up and out of bed where I’d been captive for 2 weeks in the hospital. That helped my situation greatly. The PT was especially good for me and though I hated to leave at the end of the first week, I was able to go home and function well under the circumstances. Only negative was I feared I might have c- dif but I could never get tested. Got test after I got out and it was negative but I wanted reassurance while I was in there. Great place to rehab.

Experiencia negativa: Having found a previous stay at Encompass to be a positive experience, I was disappointed in this particular stay. My partner is a difficult patient as dementia and depression act to temper his motivation to recover from a recent 3rd CVA. While his nurses and therapists were very helpful, I found the Case Manager to be difficult and uncooperative, and one of his physicians (with whom I was never able to make direct contact) spread misinformation to the staff and dangerous false hope to the patient. Had he ever once spoken with me, much disinformation could have easily been addressed!

Experiencia fantástica: In April of 2025 I received multiple injuries due to a MVA. After five days in hospital and six weeks in nursing home I was sent to Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital. I would like to share how amazing my experience was at this facility. To begin with all areas of Encompass, including my room were extremely clean and comfortable. All staff were kind, professional and knowledgeable. All departments communicated well with each other which made for wonderful continuum of care. Physical therapy and occupational therapy were exceptional. After my two weeks at Encompass I feel confident I am prepared to return home. I highly recommend Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Shreveport.

The nursing staff are just as incredible. There are a couple of Techs that I hugged everytime I seen them, because they went over & beyond the call of duty to make sure I had all I needed to make my stay enjoyable and lended their shoulder when I had meltdowns. All of my concerns were met with great detail. And the food isn't bad either! So happy I chose Encompass for my rehabilitation!

The staff is very professional and always encouraging and I was kept aware of my treatment plan the whole time. I can't recommend Encompass enough!

I was treated like a queen, everybody was over the top with caring and always had great attitudes, they explained what was going on with you and PT and OP was awesome the nurses were awesome as well the CNAS always.The food was A1 also, No complaints at all. Experiencia fantástica: This was my second visit to this hospital. The care is optimal. The staff was awesome, the PTs and OTs were outstanding. I loved the camaraderie of the staff and departments. Even the food was good. The only thing I did not like was that I could only stay longer. So I feel like I needed one more week for my best outcome. I would love to see the addition of an outpatient department.

Experiencia fantástica: When I first got to Encompass the nurses came in to check my vital signs and brought me a meal . The food was awesome !! They made me feel comfortable with extra cover !! The next morning my PT person came in and explained what I was going to do for the morning exercises Caroline was her name and she worked with me slowly so I didn't hurt myself !! For the next several days different PT and OT personal took very good care of me and then I meet Becky and she explained how to do things in my bed which was very helpful !! Mrs Shannon the PT room supervisor was also wonderful !! All in all my stay at Encompass was unbelievable!! In January I plan to have my right knee replacement and there is no place I would rather be but in the great hands of Encompass !! One more thing that made me feel awesome was the nurses and PT and OT people cheering at I went out the door to go home !! I will never forget that act of kindness !! My main complaint is that doctor discharged me with stomach issues knowing that I was not completely ready to carry on basic daily lifestyle activities.

This time, it wasn't just broken bones. I needed extra care. I ended up at Encompass Rehabilitation Hospital. It's a wonderful place to go. If you want a healing hospital that puts their patients first.Then go to Encompass. Encompasses has the most caring medical staff i have ever seen. They're was not a negative thought the entire time in was there. The positive attitudes and compassion I received from the staff made a difference in my healthcare. They saw that my needs were always met. Every employee was fantastic. They try to help their patients regain their independence and health before leaving to go home.Thank you, Encompass, for your help.

There I underwent physical and occupational therapy because I couldn't put any weight on my right broken leg for 3 months! From the day I entered, I received EXCELLENT care from the nursing staff, the doctors, the PT and OT staff, and the dialysis staff! Mrs. Angela Kerbow saw to it that I had everything I needed! Overall, I had a GREAT experience and would recommend Encompas Rehab Hospital to anyone!!

Experiencia negativa: Do not let a loved one go to this place my mom was there for 2 weeks and when she was in pain and asked for something for pain she was told to shut up she was disturbing other patients and they never gave her anything for pain and when family was there visiting she needed something for pain they would take hrs to get her anything. My sister had a three week stay for rehab after a car accident leaving her with a broken ankle and other leg wounds. The entire staff was very nice and accommodating to her every need. From the CEO and CFO, to the rehab specialist, wound care, nurses and kitchen staff, they all contributed to excellent care and treatment of my sister!

IT HAPPENED TWO AM IN THE MORNING I DIDN'T FIND OUT ABOUT IT UNTIL NEXT NIGHT WHICH WAS VERY SAD AND THEY DIDN'T REPORT IT UNTIL ONE OF THE NURSES FROM FACULTY COMPLAINED THEN THE DAY SHE WAS GETTING RELEASED THE CASE WORKER MRS. ANNA DIDN'T GIVE TO MUCH HELP GOING ON AND SHE HAD MY MOM DOING HALF ON DIALYSIS AND HAD THEM STOP IT AND SENT HER HOME NONE NURSES CLEAN HER UP SHE HAD SAME CLOTHES ON FOR TWO DAYS SHE DIDN'T EVEN GET A CHANCE TO WASH HER FACE THAT WAS VERY SAD THEM WAS THE ONLY BAD EXPERIENCE BUT SHOULDN'T NEVER HAPPEN IF SHE GOES BACK I PRAY SHE HAS A BETTER EXPERIENCE BECAUSE THIS IS MY LOVE ONE MOM SAD THEY THROW HER OUT LIKE A RAG DOLL LORD JESUS

Experiencia positiva: I stayed here for about ten days after having, arm, neck, leg, and jaw surgery. The staff is really nice such as the management, the ceo, the day nurses and some night nurses. The techs are AWFUL. Do not expect help or timely medicine with the night shift. Nurse button wouldn’t be answered for 30+ minutes at a time. Medicine was always late. After management would speak with them it would be on time for maybe a day after. Had a drs appointment the day I was leaving, had to go 9+ hours without pain medicine because night shift would give it late consistently. Therapy was great every physical therapist was amazing, occupational therapy was amazing they were so patient and kind. I know the care i received here was probably the best you can get in the city it was just painful without my medication. Techs would answer nurse button say they told the nurse and i wouldnt See the nurse until my scheduled medication. I documented Everything for correct times ect. I feel worse for elderly patients that come here that needed a lot of help like I did. I would go to the bathroom by myself before help would even come. It wasn’t terrible but not the best

Experiencia fantástica: I had a knee replacement on 10/9 and was admitted to Encompass that day. From the very start of my rehab process there could not have been a more professional, caring and attentive staff meeting all of my physical and mental needs. From the nurses to physical therapists and nutritionists, the entire staff went beyond my expectations. My stay was one week and was discharged on 10/17. My last comment, I'm a grumpy 75 year old, so for me to give Encompass 5 stars...there must have been some angels looking over me that week.

Each part of my therapy was extremely important to me becoming more independent and you could tell that they were there to help me reach my goals. The struggle is real for a lot of the patients, however we were all treated equally with respect. Experiencia negativa: Food is bad, some of the staff have attitude problems, so far the PT & OT seem ok. Can't accommodate food allergies or restrictions. Bed is very uncomfortable. Would not recommend to anyone, if you can go to a better rehab hospital do it.

Experiencia fantástica: Encompass Health Rehab is an exceptionally great facility. There are kinks in the hose, but the overall experience, I would say, was 150%. The facility is clean, and they wipe equipment down repetitiously. The therapy department has a diversified group of health workers who stick to their goal. In my opinion, the communication, empathy, care, and concern is what makes it a special place. This is my second trip here and I've come a long way, and it's because they're firm, but not shrewd, they're pleasant. They stick to the script, and it's up to the individual, because they present it to you in a way to accommodate you, and it's up to you to apply yourself and what they portray. The good thing about it is that you can't tell if they're having a bad day, I don't know how they do it, but they work as a team. I would recommend everyone to go to Encompass Health Rehab.

After my father was discharged from a local hospital due to pneumonia, he was incredibly weak—barely able to stand. Experiencia fantástica: My husband spent 11 days at Encompass following a total knee replacement while having Parkinson’s. The staff was kind and caring, they became our support system and family while we were there. My husband made fast improvement with the help of the OT’s and PT’s. Huge shout out to Sarah, OT, JT, PT and nurse Kelli. Everyone was great but these 3 stood out for their exceptional caring and help. I also have to commend the staff for not only taking care of my husband but taking care of me as well. Highly recommend and will only use Encompass going forward.

Experiencia fantástica: Highly recommend!! Great therapist. They took amazing care of my dad! My dad went into encompass not being able to walk or transfer himself. Stayed 3 weeks walked himself out to the car to leave!! I cannot say how much they changed his life!! Thank you all so much.

Experiencia fantástica: My welcoming experience was very pleasant, staff welcomed me upon arrival made me feel very welcome...Team.member came in to my room to do an introduction and texplain each process of the day and provided Information.of facility.. Information booklet regarding facility at your fingertips explaining beginning process to ending process a long with a rehab keep sake care bag package..The exercise equipment is very impressive . All of the staff members were very pleadant I liked the 24 hour access to my progress notes and records..patient have access to different types of snacks, fountain drinks , canned sodas, fruit sandwiches and healthy treats also ..Dr. Team was amazing also listened and addressed my concerns. .

Experiencia fantástica: My daughter was sent here after a stay in the hospital at LSU. She went for speech, occupational and physical therapy. They have the best of everything! The nurses, therapist and all staff took such good care of her. Kelli Odom, a nurse was so good to her. She was emotional support when I couldn’t be there and I am forever grateful to her. I would recommend this place a thousand times over again.

Experiencia fantástica: This is a great place for physical therapy. The nurses are super attentive and very nice and the actual therapists are super helpful and very understanding. They won't force you to do anything that you are not ready to do. Instead they let you go at your own pace. I'd highly recommend Encompass to anyone who is in need of physical therapy.

Experiencia fantástica: Staff were exceptional. Very quick to take care of your needs. The OT was most helpful it gave me the confidence to feel comfortable about going home on my own. Food was ok but could be better.

Experiencia fantástica: I unfortunately at the age of 41 had a stroke and had to choose a rehab. I almost didn’t pick this one because of some shady reviews. So glad I went with my gut, and landed here. My nurses Mereya, John, Mary, and Mary Ellen were amazing. I can’t say enough amazing things about the therapy staff. JT not only worked with me on what I needed, but explained every step of the way. Kallie was amazing in allowing me to push myself to be better even when I wasn’t sure I could. Justin, CJ, Shannon, Caroline, Brittany all worked with me some, but more importantly when they weren’t directly working with me, they were cheering me on from the sidelines. Now that I’m home continuing my recovery, I miss my team there. I would recommend this rehab every time I have an opportunity to do so.

Experiencia fantástica: The entire staff is AMAZING!!! All the nursing staff goes above and beyond in their duties. The therapists are WONDERFUL!!!! I was in a wreck I never shld have survived and they had me mobile in a week!! When you are here you are family!! Hope you dont but if you ever need rehab THIS is the place to go!!!!

Experiencia fantástica: I had a great stay at encompass. I came to them after 75 days on ecmo. When I arrived at encompass I couldn’t even stand up on my own. I was also on oxygen with a trach. They did a great job caring for my health and rehabbing me. In three weeks I was back to walking on my own and was able to go home. They went above and beyond for me and I can’t say enough good about them.

Experiencia fantástica: The nursing staff and case managers are amazing. All other staff was equally as amazing and attentive. My uncle stayed there for 14 days and they took very good care of him. They took time to meet with us and gave us great instruction on how to care for him after being discharged. We were all extremely pleased with the level of care he received. I highly recommend this facility.

Experiencia negativa: Would give less than 1 star if it was optional. This place allows people to manipulate the minds of patients with brain injury. They were told this person wasn't allowed contact and allowed it anyway. Now she is back in a domestic violence situation.

Experiencia fantástica: I spent 7 days in rehab here after extensive back surgery. The staff almost anticipated your needs for medication for keeping you active and special exercises all focused on the need to get you home and happy. Dr.Pham gave freely of his time as did the social workers nurses and the great Physical therapy staff. Because of all of their hard work I was able to return home 2 days earlier than expected.
