Experiencia positiva: I was pleased that I was seen promptly and released after only 60 minutes. I think considering I thought I might have a blood clot expedited that. I would like to encourage you to perhaps Work on the friendliness of the front desk receptionist. I really felt like I was an inconvenience to them. Just a smile and a warm welcome, and a concerned face would have been super nice! I will say the doctor was kind and friendly.

Experiencia positiva: Drs & staff are great. ER waiting room bathrooms were disgusting. I sat in that waiting room almost 6 hours and not once did anyone come clean them. They should be cleaned every few hrs.

Experiencia negativa: I’m chronically ill and have moments in need of quick care without being able to drive to higher end hospitals in LA but this hospital has failed me each time. I’ve been misdiagnosed, sent home still ill or have wound up in another ER within another hospital. My last stay seemed to go alright for once until staff/nurses decided to behave in the most inappropriate and embarrassing way. I’d been completely undressed changing my ostomy bag unable to move, I’d asked for washcloths and explained it was unsanitary and getting very messy to clean up and this nurse turns to me and yells how she will not get them for me until she is ready.. In the following moments I realized this same nurse had left the door wide open with me in a compromising position and had asked of her to please close it but she had begun to ignore me like a child. I myself had to get up, a dirty gown held to my ostomy (because she refused me washcloths), completely undressed head to toe and walk to the door to close it with people in the hallway. All with her still in the room. I was mortified. Do better.

Experiencia fantástica: Only came in for a blood test. Been there twice for that and each time it was excellent service, little to no wait time and the process was painless, and what I like most is that the staff and phlebotomist really listen. I have an autoimmune condition that requires the blood to be warmed before testing, otherwise the blood will clot and mess up the results. This is the only place who understood and acted on the request from the doctor. Appreciate your hospital’s expertise and professionalism.

Experiencia fantástica: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had a great experience at Adventist ER. Even though the wait was a bit long due to many cases, the staff was absolutely amazing, kind, patient, and professional from start to finish. They made me feel cared for and comfortable the whole time. Honestly, this ER has become my favorite because of how dedicated and compassionate everyone is. Highly recommend!

Experiencia positiva: I gave it a 4 star because not all was a 5 star and some was 3 stars. The 5 stars were the nurses and doctors when I had my endoscopy and angioplasty . 3 and 4 stars were some of the nurses. Although I may have some issues with certain things I still will trust and return because of the care I received. God is good. Thanks

Experiencia positiva: The food is awful! The turkey sandwich doesn’t have cheese and there is no gluten free bread. The jello isn’t real jello it tastes like slime. The College of the Canyon students do their clinicals on Saturday. I know they are learning and mean well but the interruptions were so frequent I couldn’t get any rest. Spent the first 5 hours vomiting following surgery from anesthesia and the swing shift nurses were so busy I had to wait 15 minutes at one point holding my barf bag for someone to come. My favorites were Nurse Bo, Nurse Cassie, Nurse Erika, and Nurse Erin.Nurse Bo was so fast with my iv and was worried I would get a blood clot. I felt so safe around her. She was caring like a mother. Nurse Cassie went above and beyond for me when I lost something. Nurse Erika was fast and compassionate in helping me clean up. Nurse Erin walked me through things and helped me realize my symptoms were normal. She made sure I had my pain meds. I just wish I hadn’t been bombarded by students. And, isn’t there a way you can get better food?

Experiencia fantástica: The registration staff were friendly and explained the purpose of the order. The phlebotomist was very precise.
Experiencia negativa: Bad doctors and staff here - be careful. I went in for a simple procedure and they got almost everything wrong you can imagine - they put my IV in wrong 3 times and after my procedure they sent me home bleeding because they didn't dew me up properly.

Experiencia positiva: Overall the service it's wonderful. You are everybody's great. I'm cardiac unit, some nurses Natasha, Sabrina are attentive and helpful. A nurse at nice shift is disappointing. I found a tube of the urine bag was jammed, she came over and did not fix the problem. It lead that urine spoiled my clothes. I called several times for help and nobody came.

Experiencia fantástica: I had some medical issues and needed to be in hospital ASAP. When the ambulance arrived, I specifically requested that they took me to Simi Valley Adventists Hospital. I spent 3 days in ICU and 4 days in regular ward.. They have the most professional staff in both wards. Thank you all in both wards and especially to chief of ICU, Will. Also Anthony, Michelle and every RNs , not forgetting all the kitchen staff who made my stay an unforgettable experience.

Experiencia negativa: The nurses who interacted directly with my grandma in the ER were nice, but I did not like my experience here. Nurses talking about “let’s see if any of my patients die on my today” to the IV being put into my grandmas bad arm, the one with the broken wrist. They did not take the bandage off before putting a cast on (gross) and they did not send the X-rays to her primary doctor at Kaiser. My grandma had a broken nose and wrist and we were there from 2:30-9:30pm. Not a good experience at this ER..

Experiencia negativa: The ER staff is horrible. I had be see a bunch of lazy nurses that just at the desk talking loudly, laughing while patients need care. My mom fell and was brought here. I think I saw a nurse twice and one was me flagging him down and told me I should help my mom to the bathroom. We were there about 9 hours took 7 hours just to get her radiology results back. I heard every excuse why it took so long. I would have wished the nurses would have checked on my mom, ask if she needed anything etc while we waited. And when there was staff around they seemed to be annoyed my mom was even trying to make small talk with them.

Experiencia fantástica: I went to your ER yesterday after hurting my head. I ended up showing a slight concussion. Your staff was very helpful, understanding and professional. I was seen in a timely manner. Dr. Sugarman made me feel at ease. Was very understanding, courteous and explained everything in detail. I have gone to the Simi Hospital ER for many years and have received excellent care. I highly recommend your services. Thank you I forgot to post the above info that occurred months ago. However, I was at Simi Valley ER on 9/17. They were professional, courteous and quick at getting me taking care of. They were able to lower my blood pressure and provided an additional RX for a fast acting med when it increases to high.

Experiencia negativa: Starting from the receptionist, I never got a wristband in the beginning. Until I was put in a treatment room and the nurse came to give me some pain medication and so I had to wait for her to go print one out. Bring it back to me, scan it and then give me my medication’s when I was in excruciating pain because I just had gotten into a bike accident And my whole shoulder area is so stretched out that it’s fairly hanging on by a hair and it even hurts to breathe. Let along open my mouth to take pills since when my accident happened. I hit my side of the face and head, which makes it difficult for me to choose swallow or open my mouth wide. Then the pain medication they give me wasn’t very good and they gave it to me in pill form, which took forever to kick in and when it did barely did anything and then I have to wait longer so they can give me IV medication’s and then finally that kicked in Which I don’t understand why they didn’t do that from the beginning since I was in excruciating pain and they knew that. Then they give me a doctors note for my work saying that I can go back tomorrow and it’s just happened Thursday night and with no restrictions. Mind you I cannot do anything on my own. Because I cannot move because of the pain and my shoulder feels like it’s gonna fall off if I don’t keep it close and tight to me and I had told them I’m a vet tech main treatment technician which means I do a lot of lifting a lot of doing with my hands my arms And they’re saying it’s OK for me to go back to work tomorrow with no restrictions after they had just verbally told me that I am going to be out of work for a month. The doctor The saw me was hesitant to give me IV pain medication’s for a What he called put” sprained shoulder. But he has no idea the pain that I’m going through because everybody takes pain differently and the whole time I was there I was crying because I was in so much pain and nothing was being done about it and they also said they would give me Something to hold my shoulder and my arm close to me so it wasn’t going to be able to move around, but they come back with a sling which that didn’t help because they didn’t give me what they said they were gonna give me. Overall, it was a nightmare being thereand unfortunately that’s the only hospital that’s really close to my house so I had to go to that one. And I was given medication for three or four days which this pain is going to last for a lot longer than four days and they wouldn’t write me a note for not going to work longer. It’s like begging and trying to pull teeth and you still don’t get what you’re nicely asking for. That is one Hospital. I hate going to amongst other complaints that I have heard from friends that have stayed there for a while that are very bad. I don’t recommend it to anyone. Find a better hospital. It’s like they’re just there for a paycheck and they don’t care about who’s coming in through those doors. They do the bare minimum and then they send you off. And then they charge you like crazy for the nothing they do to you.

Experiencia fantástica: Nancy Reagan Breast Center has always been a place of care compassion and excellence care. They did my exam carefully and gently when I told them I was in pain. Everything is clean and they try to make the environment warm and comfortable. From the check in to the technicians everything is in the spirit of excellence. Thank you

Experiencia fantástica: Amazing the nurse from ER name Therese amazingly gave excellent medical service to my dad yesterday 9/12/2025. Also Phil and Isabel at the ICU we cannot thank them enough for the care , compassion and fast medical serviced they gave my dad. We just lost my brother last week brought my dad to ER bec of weakness , dizziness /nausea and low Pulse . We went to the ER at 9am in 8 hours they brought him to ICU, found the problem put the pacemaker and back to his room by 3pm . My dad looks brand new his color turns to pink ( was pale 6 hours ago ) he was alert ( he is 90) and smiling . He said he does not feel weak anymore : Phil and isabel the surgeon were all there to greet papa . Thank you Thank you it makes life a lot easier and happier . Thank you SVAH for great and excellent medical staffs and the hospital is so clean & , smells good. God bless SVAH pls keep up the excellent work . ❤️

Experiencia fantástica: I had to be admitted through the emergency room to Adventist Health. I was impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of ALL the employees, introducing themselves by name and telling me what they would be doing. Everyone seemed knowledgeable and compassionate, and everything was explained to me, right down to how to use the TV remote and phone. The room was a single room, large and kept clean by the equally friendly housekeeping staff. After spending a night at Northridge Hospital 6 months ago I can say that Adventist Health is a great improvement.

Experiencia negativa: i was assaulted and hysterical so the police decided to 5150 me, i received inhumane care. no food and water for my entire stay until my last hours it was requested by a visitor. i have been billed for this involuntary hold due to an attempt to leave a toxic and abusive household. shame on everyone who contributed to this situation, as many belongings of mine were destroyed and i am unhoused as a new adult. i do not appreciate a 10000 bill after such a inhumane hold, as there will no longer be education or a stable life in my future. editing to add that i was billed without being asked my insurance or address. leaving the bill to be mailed to the house of the assaulter.

I also work in healthcare, so there is an extra layer of scrutiny applied when on the other side as a patient. The care and accommodations at this facility were top-notch, and every provider I encountered was phenomenal. Would not hesitate to seek care here again.

I was promptly checked in and then whisked off to the three test areas in an organized and compassionate manor, quick, efficient tests conducted by women. The only negatives I experienced was in my check in at the E.R. on 8/14/25- it was very busy and took over 2 hours to get a bed. The other negative was on 8/15/25- for 1/2 the day I was not updated on what was going on (and I was to have a colonoscopy). Lastly, there was a few instances when I called for help in my room, and it took a while for anyone to show up.
Experiencia fantástica: Attentive, thoughtful care when I was mildly freaking out about my shoulder injury Checked me early on to make sure it wasn’t a shoulder dislocation (there’s a limited amount of time to relocate the shoulder after that kind of injury before it becomes a “big deal”) Gave me helpful, practical advice on how to manage the next few days (e.g., get your hair washed at SuperCuts for $10 because you won’t be able to do it yourself) I appreciated everyone’s demeanor and guidance and advice

Experiencia negativa: On Sunday August 17, 2025 I took my mom to the Emergency Room, and while I appreciate the hard work and stress that healthcare staff deal with, I feel compelled to share my concerns. During our visit, several nurses were speaking very loudly about personal matters, including how much money they make, criticizing doctors and coworkers, and even discussing a doctor who orders pizza for his staff every night at a Los Robles urgent care that she works for. Their conversations were full of laughter, loud joking, and banter that made the environment feel more like a party than a professional healthcare setting. I heard some very inappropriate comments and conversations, including the staff what seemed to be spanking each other. I completely understand that working in the ER is extremely stressful and that moments of levity can help staff cope. However, patients and their families are often there during some of the scariest and most vulnerable moments of their lives. Hearing staff joking loudly and sharing personal or unprofessional conversations while loved ones are in distress creates a very uncomfortable and inappropriate atmosphere. People automatically start feeling concerned that their loved ones are not being treated, or taken care of properly while the nurses are outside laughing. I actually came out of ER room one to remind them that they needed to be professional and mindful of the patients, and surroundings. I believe the Emergency Department supervisor should consider reviewing workplace professionalism and conduct policies, and perhaps hold an in-service training to remind staff of the importance of being mindful of their surroundings. A more compassionate, respectful, and professional environment would make a world of difference for patients and families during difficult times.

Experiencia positiva: When I arrived. Staff was excellent. It was streamline as the er wasn't busy as I had experienced in the past. Went in for a kidney stone. I let them know that They had just had back surgery 20 days prior. I was admitted. IV blood test... urine etc. After treatment. The final analysis/result was lengthy. There wasn't anyone to read the X-ray etc. So. Waited for longer than needed. I had one to inform I needed to use the restroom. So I brought upon myself and escorted myself to use it... After disconnecting a couple of the monitors connected to me. Overall. It was a better experience for me. Most staff was attentive. I wouldn't hesitate to come back if needed.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been going to the Nancy Reagan Breast Cancer Center for 10 years now. At age 40, I had my first mammogram and a spot was detected. I then went through a series of testing, including a biopsy that confirmed cancer. I am alive today because of the Nancy Reagan cancer center, and I will fully support them for the rest of my life

Experiencia negativa: If this us relating to my visit to ER on 7/28 i was very disappointed. I went in with extreme high blood pressure, headache, nausea, chills.the doctor came out where the check in nurse was taking vitals. He asked questions and told me they would check my blood , heart and brain scan and give me some medication.i would be ok and they would take care of me. The check in nurse finished and had me go sit at the lobby. After 10 minutes i asked for water n the desk girl asked her and i was told to go sit and girl would come out soon. After 5-10 minutes she called me to take me bk to a room 3 gave me a gown told me to put it on and somebody would be in.she did not ask if i needed the cot lifted up or a blanket as i was shivering and cold. Left and nobody came bk for about 30 minutes when a nice tall nurse cane in to start an iv and she was surprised nobody had come before and she wasn’t even told i was in the room. She was disappointed they had not put the monitor to check blood pressure etc. She first raised the bed so i could lay down connected monitor then got me some blankets and apologized for the lack of attention and care. I was so afraid i was having a stroke so this was not ok. She was very good. The nurse that did the electrocardiogram was good snd the tech for brain scan came at about 1:30 am at 5:00 am i asked if i could go and the nurse informed me they were waiting for radiologist to read the brain scan and i just chose to go home and the doctor came in for first time since i saw him at check in and said my labs and cardiograms were good but i would be leaving against their order to wait for brain scan results . I agreed to leave at my own risk. This was the worse experience and care and attention i have ever had and it wasnt even busy. Very poor care.

Experiencia fantástica: Went to E R for a migraine was actually seen in a timely manner and was treated. Was released only after my b.p dropped from 205/110 to 187/ 87. The hospital was very cold as expected but was given a blanket. The staff was very nice and caring.

Experiencia fantástica: I was pleased with the treatment I received in the ER. I was in and out in a couple of hours with having a MRI ,receiving the results and receiving pain medication. Prescriptions were sent to my pharmacy and were ready to pick-up after discharge.

Experiencia fantástica: I recently visited the Simi Valley hospital and received exceptional care! The registration process was quick, they promptly took me to start running tests, they took time to listen to all my contents, and they were really thorough in trying to determine what was wrong - running lots of tests & an x-ray. The entire care team was so empathetic, kind, and nurturing. They constantly checked on me to ensure my pain was under control and my vitals were improving. The doctor was thorough in explaining test results and treatment options. I truly cannot say enough great things about this experience, which is so important when you feel so sick & miserable.

Experiencia fantástica: I've always had great experiences with the hospital over the last 15 years, whether as a patient or brining a patient there. My most recent experience was an ER visit yesterday for myself after deciding I couldn't ignore my symptoms any longer. I'm so glad that I went. The doctor and staff were all kind, patient and thorough about understanding what brought me in. The entire unit from patient waiting area to the testing rooms I visited were super clean and organized. ER visits aren't ever fun, but Adventist Health Simi Valley takes the time to listen and cover all areas of testing. I highly recommend their services.

Experiencia negativa: Nobody in the hospital would help me out with my chest pain I drink and self medicate to get rid of my chest pain. No one there would even give me food or water to drink. They wouldn’t even give me an IV to hydrate the worst experience I’ve ever experienced. They were gonna make me walk home with no shoes on while the person next to me. They got a ride for, but they would not get a ride for me to get home to my son and my cat. They know I have congested heart failure. Why are they OK with me walking home 5 miles without helping me??

Experiencia fantástica: Best mammogram experience in 30 years. Staff is courteous, professional, helpful and friendly. The facilities are beautiful, clean and state of the art. Although 10 miles farther than my town’s Radnet facility, I am happy to drive farther to this excellent facility.
