Springfield Rehabilitation & HealthCare Center: Opiniones
Experiencia fantástica: This is a truly wonderful skilled nursing community. The staff are kind, professional, and clearly dedicated to the people they serve.
Experiencia negativa: Started out to be a great place . The PT dept is great . The social worker Emily is not good . They are short staffed even though Troy director says they are not .staff will tell you they are :( 45 mins of setting in urine or poop :( not fun very humiliating for any age . After 99 days there my mom got rhino virus , encephalitis , meningitis and pneumonia !!! And c -deff. She’s now in hospital fighting for her life .
Experiencia negativa: I had to leave because my mental health declined due miss information. Vertebral abusive staff. They would say one thing do another the next day . Social services dropping ball . No schuled physical therapy . Made it hard to comply when not feeling well. .
Experiencia fantástica: Best skilled facility in Springfield area!!
Experiencia positiva: This is a friendly and clean facility. I've been here a week and they have the consistent great care one would expect to have. The therapist are unique with an encouraging spirit. I would recommend it to anyone.
Experiencia fantástica: Our family is incredibly thankful for Springfield Rehabilitation and the care they have provided for my mom. What began as a short-term rehab stay has now transitioned into long-term care due to the severity of her condition—and through it all, the staff has been nothing short of exceptional. From the beginning, the therapy team made a point to keep our family in the loop, meeting in person with my dad & sister with me on conference calls so I could stay updated from out of state. Their thoughtfulness made a difficult time much easier to bear. When I was finally able to visit three months after her move, I was met with such warmth. Every staff member introduced themselves and took time to get to know me. One especially touching moment was when a team member congratulated my daughter on her college graduation—they had seen the video with my mom and remembered. That kind of personal care is rare, and it meant so much to us. My sister and dad have been there since day one of the move and have been treated with the same level of care and attention. Having experienced a different facility prior to this one, I can confidently say that Springfield Rehabilitation stands far above the rest. At the first place, due to timing, availability, and my mom’s specific needs, we had no other options—but as soon as we could, we moved her to Springfield Rehab, and we haven’t looked back. To anyone searching for a facility for their loved one, I wholeheartedly recommend Springfield Rehabilitation. The staff here aren’t just caregivers—they’ve become family to my mom & our family. Their work is not easy, but they do it with compassion, excellence, and heart. Thank you to every person at Springfield who makes my mom’s days better. We are forever grateful.
Experiencia fantástica: I love it here! The food is amazing and the staff are angels! The physical therapy department is top notch!
Experiencia fantástica: Great place! Clean and welcoming but most importantly--the people. The staff--everyone who works there--has treated our mom so well--caring and attentive. They show real concern and are extremely capable in their respective fields. While no one should expect gourmet food in a place like this, I have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of the meals.
Experiencia negativa: This may be the service provider for you if you are religious, but my mother wasn't. Because she wasn't, she was denied compassion and treated like a dog. My mother had terminal liver disease and was dying. She needed pain medication for her pain and she needed anxiety medication for her anxiety. That is all she needed. Otherwise she decided to stop taking any other medications and to stop eating and drinking so she could drift away peacefully. What followed was six weeks of hell. She was denied pain and anxiety medication, she was harassed for not eating/drinking, and she, not a christian, was told repeatedly that god/jesus doesn't want her to die. Granted, this was mostly the care facility she was in (Springfield Rehab), however Haven Hospice did nothing to persuade or encourage the facility to do their job and follow the orders of Haven's doctors. They felt bad about it, but did nothing. As the liver disease increased ammonia levels in my mother blood/brain, she began to act erratically. That is what it does. She could not control her urge to try to get out of bed. Instead of giving her the pain and anxiety medication prescribed for her at levels to keep her calm and in bed, they denied them to her. So, she tried to get out of bed and fell several times. Instead of helping her, they took her bed way and replaced it with a gym mat on the cold tile floor. Still, medications were withheld. She was told she could have them if she asked for them. Again, her mind riddled by disease, could not remember what it was she was supposed to do for relief. "Simply push the call button" they'd say. Well, she couldn't remember. And if she did she couldn't remember what it was she was supposed to ask for. I spent hours there (an average of 3-4 for six weeks) each day helping her push the call button, but I couldn't be there 24/7. She spent that six weeks confused, afraid, angry, and miserable. A far cry from compassionate care! Once she entered the active dying stage, suddenly everyone cared and her medications where brought, so thankfully her last 36 hours of living may have been comfortable, but who would know, she was comatose by then. And that is my wonderfully kind and loving mother's experience with Springfield Rehab and Haven Hospice. This review will be copied to Haven Hospice's reviews as well. Thank you, and good luck.
Experiencia fantástica: Amy has been a blessing to work with! Every patient sent there reports they received exceptional care!
Experiencia fantástica: The place itself is nice, clean and the rooms are gorgeous, also the staff is amazing and so very kind. Thank you for taking care of my mother. We really appreciate everything you do.
Experiencia negativa: I will definitely say, if you have other centers with availability go there before placing a loved one here. The PT and OT did fine, but everything else was a bad experience. She was checked in and evaluated at 4:30 p.m. on her first day there. To start her stay she was left in soiled clothes and sheets from midnight until 9 am and wasn't fed supper or breakfast until we went and got it for her ourselves. Again, she was checked in at 4:30 p.m. No excuse!!! I even saw other patients falling out of there bed and went to find help and told people that worked on this hall and they did nothing. I went to the complete other side of the building to get someone to help this lady and finally someone attended to her. My mom n law was not bathed but maybe 3 times in 2 1/2 weeks of her stay. They prescribed her a medication that she has in her chart she is allergic to. I honestly have a lot more to say.....but I will leave it at this. We were very disappointed in the care and will definitely not take mom n law back there and will definitely not refer anyone else to go there.
Experiencia negativa: The staff is great to the residents. But some of the LPN and RN NEEDS TO LEARN HOW TO TALK TO PEOPLE. They rude and disrespectful to other staff.
Experiencia negativa: This place was so dirty and none of the staff care. They would put my dad in a wheelchair, push him near his plate but he couldn’t reach it. He was starving to death. Put his call button on the floor so he couldn’t call for help I have photos of my dad laying in a bed with diarrhea up his back and down his bottom. Please Please don’t put anyone you love in this hell hole.
Experiencia negativa: Needs to have available visitation hours listed online... Not very helpful.
Experiencia fantástica: My family chose this facility because of their excellent atmosphere and rehabilitation reputation. However, it soon became clear that my father needed more of an end of life facility. I was nervous that the setting would be too lively for our needs, but the staff took great care to ease my fathers pain and kept him in a quiet and peaceful room. I am so thankful for the staff at this facility; words cannot express my gratitude. It was also so gratifying to see elder residents treated with dignity and love at this rehabilitation center. I saw the staff adore, hug, and care for everyone. I simply love this place.
Experiencia fantástica: This is a great place, very clean and neat with nurses and staff that are super nice and helpful. We had a great experience here.
Experiencia fantástica: I cannot say enough good things about this place. My husband was in here for a few weeks before he died and had excellent care. From the CNAs, the med techs, the nurses, the social worker, to the kitchen workers, they all showed him compassion and kindness and love. The food was excellent. Having experienced poor care at another facility prior to this, Springfield Rehab was a God-send for his final days and my family and I will be forever grateful.
Experiencia fantástica: Lots of dare and love even in the most stressful times. Today for example, Sonya, gave our loved one a shower which requires a hotter lift. She was so kind, pleasant and skilled. She paid attention to details for every aspect of her job. Sonya took time to answer our questions and check the diapers I brought for our loved one. She explained they will work later. Right now he needed the more cushioned ones. What a great example of how a side can help the residents, their families. and friends. Then Angie Lancey provided the requested information. She is even goi g to provide more information later. She is a great activities coordinator. She is personable and a very smart worker. She remains dedicated to the residents and brings joy to all. Thank you Sonya and Springfield Rehab!!
Experiencia negativa: My sister was here and couldn’t wait to get out. Administration and nurses were extremely rude. Stay away!
Experiencia negativa: Today I went to visit my grandmother and I was standing in the hall outside her room and I started to hear someone yell for help. I was worried so I told a nurse passing me be she did nothing. A few minutes went by and nothing. This poor women was yelling for help for about 15 minutes and no one came to help! I even went to the front desk and it took them 10 minutes to send a nurse to help her off the toilet! It was ridiculous and out right cruel. Overall it was terrible!
Experiencia fantástica: My brother is needing rehab. As a former dhss facility inspector, I must say I am impressed with the staff and personal support and attention offered. Highly recommend.
Experiencia negativa: I would not suggest anybody use this facility.I would not suggestIt's at allI've had nothing but a bad experience. You have likeYou have like two
Experiencia negativa: If you are considering this place for your loved one. Do yourself a favor and DON'T! It is a poorly run, disorganized place.
Experiencia fantástica: Its a hard decision to select a rehab for your family but I m very happy with our decision. The rehab staff are attentive and kind! Communication with progress made all the difference!
Experiencia fantástica: I have been visiting there for several years it all ways looks clean and doesn't smell everyone there is very friendly. I like working with Amy great person to work with. From nursing to activities every one is great. Hope we can work many more years together.
Experiencia fantástica: My mom has been here for a.few years. They are great! They take real good care of her.
Thank you so much Mrs. Pruett. It is our pleasure!
Experiencia fantástica: My uncle was recently there for a rehab stay. The care was amazing, the staff were so personable and loving, you can tell how much they truly care. I would recommend this facility to anyone looking for a caring, well educated environment.
Experiencia fantástica: Very nice place! Staff did an outstanding job, super friendly! I would recommend!
Experiencia positiva: They fed my mom and kept her safe. she received good Physical Therapy. They did not help her change her clothes or take a bath for the whole week she was there.
Experiencia fantástica: My beloved nana is here at the moment for rehabilitation and they have all been so kind and caring they truly care about your loved one s here they go by the saying to treat patients how you would want your family to be treated not only is the care immaculate. Their facility is beautiful they make good food ha e good sized rooms and lots of activities for the residents they even have people come in and do nails for them and visiting hours seem to be whenever you want its just made me feel a lot better about my nana in this hard time we're going through thank you to the staff and everyone that works there!
Experiencia fantástica: The staff is kind and caring and great with communication!
Experiencia fantástica: I highly recommend Springfield Rehabilitation and HealthCare for anyone needing Rehab. Their caring and skilled team is top notch!
Experiencia positiva: They fed my mom and kept her safe. she received good Physical Therapy. They did not help her change her clothes or take a bath for the whole week she was there.
Experiencia fantástica: Very clean and organized...the only thig to mention is they seem short staffed
Experiencia fantástica: I've been in and out of this facility for various reasons in the past 19 years and can attest to the fact that this is the best care you could possibly find in Springfield, Mo. Kudos to the Administrator and DON! Their experience, hardwork and dedication is what makes this fine Nursing Home click! Keep up the great job!!
Experiencia fantástica: My 87 year old dear mother has 12 medicines she takes for a myriad of of health issues. Her arrival date at Springfield Rehabilitation was today. Her nurse, Mindy, spent an above and beyond amount of time, communicating and bonding with my Mother in helping to familiarize a medicine routine consistent with manner her medicine is taken at home. I have been impressed with both facility and staff and the extra attention given to both patients and family. They try very hard to accommodate in every way possible.
Experiencia fantástica: When I have visited this community, I always get the feeling that the staff work well together, which is so important. We love working with Amy the Social Worker, she is very good to help with any thing and is a great advocate for the residents.
Experiencia negativa: My grandma was there for 3 months before we moved her. In the time she was there she had amazing nurses and aides who took care of her. The problem is the administration and head of nursing. We several times went in and found my grandma unresponsive and unable to wake her. We questioned her medication and found out they were giving her extremely high doses of medication that we had not been told of. She was so highly medicated she was having accidents in her pants because she couldn't get up to go to the bathroom. She ended up in the hospital from an UTI going septic. We shared our concerns with the hospital staff of things that we were aware of. They refused to send my grandma back to Springfield Rehab and found her another place to go. She has been there 3 weeks and we can tell a huge difference in her, she's much happier. The only reason this place deserves 1 star is because a few of the nurses and aides who, even though they didn't want to lose their jobs, shared concerns with us about how my grandma was being treated. My mom also witnessed other residents being yelled at which she took to administration.
Experiencia negativa: I would give less than 1 star if I could if I had a love one that needed a place to stay I would go any where but here there is no compassion for taking care of terminally ill patients not a place I would recommend. Since I first wrote the review it has changed alot of staff and with the new administration I would hesitate to check into this facility
Experiencia positiva: My dad has been at the rehab for 2 months and is going home this weekend. The physical therapists here are wonderful.. full of energy and such happy attitudes! They worked my dad hard and kept him motivated to get his strength back and able to go home:). There are some very compassionate and skilled aids here .. Jay, Michelle, and Victor have become like friends to my dad and our family. They are all stretched to their limits, as I feel is the same in most skilled facilities, but they do their best to keep up with the patients needs. I felt the nursing staff was competent, sometimes you had to remind them to check on your loved one, but again, I feel like they are stretched to their limits. We made many good friends with the staff while my dad was a patient here.. the management needs to see what gems they have in their staff and hire more faculty to help with patient care! Our social worker was extremely helpful in getting things started and with helping with home health and physical therapy set up when we were dismissed. I highly recommend Springfield rehab .
Experiencia fantástica: NHC Springfield is a great place full of caring and compassionate people!!
Experiencia negativa: Rude Staff.....many of the staff members, such as the Nurses, (not the aides) become agitated and rude if I ask ed for someone to check on my loved one, whom was having a difficult time breathing.....it appears to me, they prefer patients whom will just lay still and suffer in silence and die....so as not to be a problem to the staff....this place should be reported to the Office of the Missouri Atty,. Gen.
Experiencia negativa: My mother was here for rehab. After a week here she became unable to use her whole left side. The aide taking care of her reported it to the nurse and they thought it might be a stroke but didn’t even call an ambulance!! They just let her lay there! Everyone is taught in high school stroke symptoms! Then call 911! Then call family! Not the first stroke victim to happen there. They just suggested to me to put her in nursing home!
Experiencia fantástica: Worked there for some years. Excellent management and not least the residents are awesom
Experiencia fantástica: I love the staff from the social workers to the nurses. When my loves one was having a bad day the nurse took extra time to just brush her hair and listen, so sweet!!!
Experiencia negativa: Me and my brother chose this facility because we had a few minor problems with James River. My father wasn't there for a full 24 hours before he passed away. We think he aspirated which means he was choking on vomit. He would have pressed the call button instantly. We had to make sure we was getting his food and being changed before he had even been there for a few hours. The staff was "matter of fact." Real over worked people, which it isn't the complete fault. It was the way this place was ran and I can't even ask for an autopsy without paying for it out of pocket because they lied to us. Terrible experience and I wish I had money to pursue a lawsuit on neglect. Not for justice just for the hope that no one else will have to go through this.
