Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Hung is such a kind, pleasant man. Also super bright, competent and responsive. I can't believe that I will say it was a pleasure to go see a doctor, but it was! I had several procedures at the Blatchley Road campus and each time I was seen at the time of my appointment (which is actually very rare in my experience with medical professionals) and the staff is all wonderful. Every nurse is nicer, more attentive, more assuring, and smarter than the next. The place is clean and everyone seems happy to be working there. Dr. Hung is a pillar of the profession. You will get the best medical care and you will definitely want to be friends with him!

A couple of weeks ago, Dr. Hung administered an epidural injection, and I felt significant relief the very next day. Now, two weeks later, I can say that I am 90–95% pain free. His knowledge, skill, and professionalism are deeply impressive. As his patient, I am immensely grateful for the care and treatment he provided.

Years ago I had a spinal fusion - a side effects from the gift of arthritis my parents handed down. That surgery was extremely successful and the rehabilitation was easy. However I was warned that once you lock up one area of your spine the pressure increases on the other parts. And now here I am. I have no interest in another surgery, especially with regard to my neck. But Dr. Hung is patiently helping me on this journey. He is kind and brilliant (look at his bio!). I feel that he knows me and really cares. He has been very proactive about making sure I have access to any medications I need for pain management - which is very unusual these days, and so helpful. My appointments have been reassuring but real. Follow up is timely and really not at all difficult to schedule in no small part to Bernadette, his scheduler. She is wonderful as well. In summary I cannot recommend Dr. Hung enough. Good luck on your journey.

Dr. Hung took the time to truly listen to me. He ordered an MRI right away, which revealed a cyst on my lumbar spine that was the real source of my pain. He clearly explained everything and gave me three treatment options, ranging from least to most invasive. I chose the middle option, and I’m so glad I did. They just passed me from Dr to Dr. I sent my Records over to Dr Hung and scheduled an online visit. The online visit was wonderful. Experiencia fantástica: Another reviewer here said that Dr. Hung is a “miracle man.” I told him that he has “miracle hands.”Dr. Hung eliminated my debilitating back and hip pain with spinal injections. The injections didn’t hurt a bit and the precision with which Dr. Hung completed the procedure was stellar. He is the perfect combination in a doctor: laser-focused on helping you while also being compassionate and friendly (we compared notes on building homes during the procedure). In retrospect, he likely wanted to keep me focused on something else, but we actually laughed during the procedure. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking a pain management consultation. He is board-certified in anesthesiology among other specialties. Most important, he is not a pain management doctor who gives out opioids to anyone who walks through his door. He is a doctor who cares about his patients’ medical problems and seeks to eliminate them not mask them. If you’re just looking for a script, look elsewhere. If you’re looking for a cure, you’ve come to the right place!

Within minutes he was able to identify the problem as well as a solution. Experiencia fantástica: I have now had 2 radio frequency ablations done by Dr. Hung. He is a miracle man. Such a warm and compassionate doctor and a brilliant and skilled technician who relieved my debilitating pain. I was in horrific pain in both my head and neck and could barely move my head for over a year. I tried physical therapy and acupuncture and neither helped. Finally I found Dr. Hung. He is an amazing doctor and I am now pain free. The cervical radio frequency ablation he performed was not particularly comfortable, but he kept me calm and talked to me throughout the entire procedure to take my mind off everything. And he kept me apprised every step of the way. He even offered to have me come back on another day if I felt too uncomfortable. Since the cervical ablation worked so well I then had a lumbar ablation since I had been suffering with back and hip pain for many years. After numerous procedures, including ablations, by several doctors, Dr. Hung's procedure worked. I can't recommend him more highly.

Within three weeks after I had a procedure I could do squats. I have had four procedures over the years and Dr. Hung has kept me out of the operating room. I would follow him to the ends of the earth.

First he adjusted my medications, and then he delivered the knockout blow, an epidural. It took two attempts, but the second did it. He's persistent, confident and a great communicator.

He talked me through the whole procedure; offered to pause if I experienced any discomfort; and treated me like we all hope our medical professional will treat us - with respect and concern. Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Hung is a miracle worker! I’m not exaggerating. For years I have had back trouble and every physiatrist and orthopedist told me I had disc problems. I went through injections, opioids, PT, your name it. Dr. Hung diagnosed me with sciatic issues NOT disc problems. I underwent the procedure where he did inject steroids into my sciatic area. Yes it hurt. However, for almost a year I had no back pain whatsoever. It was a miracle because I no longer had to take painkillers or Advil or do special exercises or be careful what I did. It was truly miraculous, and I cannot recommend this physician more highly. He’s professional, caring and kind. And his assistant Bernadette is amazing! Run (if you can!) don’t walk to this physician. He is what every doctor should be.

I found HSS and ultimately Dr Hung quickly diagnosed me with herniated discs and facet nerve syndrome. Through a series of non surgical interventions my legs are back to normal and I can sleep and walk, etc effortlessly! He is very responsive and attentive. When I have had any questions or concerns I just send him a message via the HSS website and he calls me within 5 minutes if not immediately. I can’t recommend him enough!

They all read my MRI's and did not see anything out of the ordinary. Dr. Hung, in just a few minutes recognized that the "regular wear and tear" noted in the MRI was actually pinched nerves and showed me a "Path of pain" that corresponded exactly with how I felt. I saw Dr. Hung 3 years ago for relief of 2 herniated discs that Dr. McAnany had told me would most likely reabsorb in time (which they did.) In the meantime, Dr. Hung was able to give me a cortisone shot that allowed me to enjoy my vacation 2 weeks later. I have not had any further issue with them. Two years later I called Dr. Hung's office when I was unable to reach my own primary care physician. It was days before Christmas and I had severe back pain. Dr. Hung called me back and told me that what I described was not caused by a disc and suggested I go to the ER. It was a kidney stone. Fast forward a year and a half later and I returned to HSS for hip pain. I arrived for a 10:00 am appointment and by 11:00 I was seen by Dr. Hung, had x-rays. and met again with Dr. Hung who explained that I had nerve impingement due to arthritis in the hip. My PT evaluation was done at 1:00 and all of my appointments for the next 6 weeks. Perhaps even the most amazing thing is that Dr. Hung asked what the diagnosis had been when I reached out near Christmas. Dr. Hung, his staff, and everyone at HSS prove that high quality health care is possible and set the bar high for all other physicians. With much gratitude.

Dr Hung is a great communicator and a very caring doctor His explanations on what to expect and his descriptions at every step of the procedure were both accurate and served to build trust and get me to relax . 3 days later I feel like I haven’t felt in 10 years . I have absolutely no neck pain , no trap tightness and no shoulder pain I can’t feel any nerve pain at all , so far , and I’m not afraid to move my right arm or turn my neck . I’m extremely happy with how it has gone so far . To be honest I’m ecstatic. I am always scared when it comes to procedure but not with Dr. Hung. He explains in details what are options we have to help me with my back pain. He explains very well what entails the procedure. I developed severe arthritis in my cervical spine, and have experienced continual chronic pain for the past seven months. I was miserable. Dr. Hung has successfully diagnosed and treated my issue with a series of injections, and I am well on my way to resuming a normal life. I could list all of the wonderful attributes I read in the other five star reviews before I began to write this. There is no need. They are ALL true. He is the best. Experiencia fantástica: I went to see Dr. Hung at the advice of a friend who raves about him. I have been having neck pain for the past six months post shoulder surgery. Dr. Hung was AMAZING! It's been a long time since I've had a doctor take the time and caring he did. And, rather than pursue extensive, complicated treatments, he started with something simple and easy and, so far, it's worked. He called me yesterday afternoon to "see how you're feeling?" Experiencia fantástica: I started seeing Dr. Hung about 1 1/2 years ago. At that point in time I was not hopeful that I would get any relief for the pain I had. However, Dr. Hung has changed my life. He is the most sincere and caring doctor that I have ever encountered and trust me I have seen many many doctors! He took the time to listen no matter how long I needed to explain my situation. I first started seeing him in NYC then I went to his Connecticut location and although I live in Long Island he is worth every minute of the drive and in fact I loved the CT location so much that I will continue to see him there. During every single procedure he took his time, he is extremely precise and thorough and made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. Like I tell him all the time I am not a good patient but I no longer have any fear of seeing him because of how much he cares. Also, I would like to say that every single person, nurse, assistant etc that I have met on my journey with Dr. Hung have been exceptional. I have gone to other doctors for pain management and none of them have been as skilled or as caring as Dr. Hung. I would recommend him to anyone in a heartbeat. We have to drive 45 minutes to see him, but he is totally worth the drive and always does whatever he can to take care of me and ease my pain. He even calls me back as soon as he can whenever I reach out to his office with a concern. I very much appreciate him and his attention to detail.

He thoroughly discussed with me all the options and their pros and cons with us settling on a cervical epidural injection. I have had many epidurals in my lower back and am very familiar with the process. However, the cervical injection is much more complicated and Dr. Hung and his team performed perfectly. Any concerns I had were very quickly dispelled and now more than two weeks since the procedure I am not feeling any pain at all. I cannot recommend Dr. Hung more highly.
