Experiencia fantástica: The hospital gave me 30 minutes to decide where to send my mom. We chose Mountain View Healthcare Center based on location and the promised made by Jonah. I am happy to say that it was the best decision we made and she has made great physical improvements to her left leg. We are thankful that we took our gut feeling. While we hope to never go back to a skilled nursing home, if we had to, we would recommend Mountain View Healthcare Center.

The entire team from the nurses and therapists to the administrative staff was kind, attentive, and always willing to help with a smile. It gave our family great peace of mind to see how well she was cared for. The facility is clean, well-managed, and very organized, which made everything easier for us. What’s even more amazing is that the SNF is located right across the street from El Camino Hospital ,incredibly convenient and reassuring in case of any medical needs. I’m very grateful for their dedication and the warmth they showed my aunt throughout her recovery. Highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: MVHC was a great place for my elderly mother. She was recovering there for about a month after a spinal injury and subsequent surgery. Starting from Hunter, to Mary, Ralph, Annie, Rosa, Rajdeep, Alex, Joanne, Karla, Ella, Demi, and so many others, I can’t thank them enough for the care they took of my mom. It’s a tough job being a nurse/CNA/caregiver/administrator of a nursing home. Yet the employees here kept the patient’s needs in mind. They were open to taking suggestions from the family if we felt things needed to be adjusted to accommodate my mother’s specific needs. I hope my mother doesn’t need a nursing facility again, but if she does, then this is the place where I would take her. Thanks and keep up the good work you all do. Your patients and their families appreciate your dedication and support.

Experiencia negativa: I keep reading reviews about “compassion” there was no compass at all in the room that my family friend is staying in. The nurse “Bocc” as one of the people staying there called him was seen on his phone, literally talking to people most of the day. He was so rude telling the other roommate to “shut up” and telling his colleagues that “he needs to be medicated because he won’t shut up on the mornings”. He would raise his voice for any demand. It was so hard to watch. The elderly staying here are already going through so much, they do not deserve to be treated with this kind of abuse.

Experiencia negativa: Pray. Not a good place, my dad asked me to visit him and the staff was extremely rude to me. My brother said that he would take the keys my dad gave me and use them for his good but he did not.

Experiencia fantástica: Let's face it, no one WANTS to be in a nursing home / rehab center. But if you have to be in one, this is the place. My dad spent a couple weeks here rehabbing from cardiac arrest. The first night of course was a difficult transition, but once the therapy started you could tell that this facility's staff cared and went the extra mile for their patients. While you shouldn't expect a luxury experience from any nursing facility, you can expect care, compassion, and great therapy to get you back on your feet - literally.

Experiencia fantástica: I don't live in California, so I found MVHC initially on the internet. That beautiful courtyard is what attracted me. My cousin suffers dementia, we had no choice but assisted living. To my surprise, initially my cousin got physically healthier -- she had been living alone and was not taking great care of herself. Once she settled into MVHC, her skin tone, her hair, her weight, all better and much healthier than when she arrived. And that courtyard is wonderful, beautiful flowers, plenty of places to sit. We spent more than one afternoon there, and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. The staff at MVHC are wonderful. They brought my cousin's lunch out to the courtyard for her the last time I visited, being accomodating to make sure she ate. She also celebrated her birthday and had cake there. You get the idea, the staff go the extra step to provide an amazing service. Among others, whose names I do not know and who also deserve our thanks, I especially want to thank Rosa, Annie and Sehar. Update: my cousin passed last night at age 89. Again, MHVC was there, contacting all of us when she entered Hospice, and throughout the process, and assisting us to the end. Thanks to all of you at MHVC for looking out for our loved one with such care.

Experiencia negativa: This place is horrible and dangerous my wife was placed there from the the hospital through a social worker that told me this place was good place at first she went to the hospital cuz she had covid. She had other problems before she went there she was there for 4 days get her out of the hospital I had covid at the same time so the social worker found this place mountain view in El Camino in mountain view they had her lay in bed no rehab for 6 days no shower she was in bed all they did was feeder and with horrible food and give her her medication the doctor never saw her only looked at her chart made sure her medication was okay nobody could answer any of my questions when I finally got there I had to ask them to give her a shower I have to ask him to check if she still had covid and they finally did and she didn't have it. I had to ask them to do all the stuff that they had not done and it's supposed to be a rehab place they had no rehab I finally got her out after 7 days it's her legs aren't working well because she laid they had her lay in bed with nothing to do so sure her legs aren't going to work after no moving for 7 days this place is just this place is supposed to be a rehab in a nursing home she came home worse than the when she went in I can't believe they can do something like that to someone aren't they supposed to look out for the patient well-being. And nobody there were able to communicate and nobody knew nothing about anything.

Experiencia fantástica: This place is amazing. Very clean and has a gorgeous courtyard garden. My 90 year old mom was here for 3 weeks with a broken hip. The care and attention she received was amazing. Our first day Vanessa welcomed us and answered my dumb questions. Then a team explained what the next few days were going to look like and got to know my mom. Dr. Rea constantly checked in as we figured out each step. The OT/PT team knew each patient by name as they came in and they truly work as a team. BJ (aka Maui), mom’s wound care person, was always in a happy mood and made mom relax. The whole staff worked as a team helping each other out. I want to thank Ralph the Admissions Coordinator for helping us out with some personal stuff. My mom was very well taken care of here.

Experiencia positiva: After the first time, My View Healthcare Center has a 10 sec check in procedure that’s self-service. In general, caretakers are friendly and efficient. Patients seem to get a quick response time. Rooms are clean and even in two to a room, there’s plenty of privacy. Food is lousy but healthy enough. Today, the area seemed very noisy but spirited. I sense a positive vibe.

When my brother and I first brought our mom in, we were skeptical—especially as we began noticing things that concerned us. At one point, we were ready to move her out. But then we had a care team meeting, and everything changed. Jennifer, the Director of Nursing, attended that meeting and genuinely listened to our concerns. She not only acknowledged them but assured us that things would improve—and they did, starting the very next day. Having someone care for your loved one as if they were their own makes all the difference. That’s exactly what Jennifer has done, and the impact on our mom's daily life has been tremendous. We are so grateful she took the time to listen, respond, and take action. Thank you for bringing in the right people. It truly matters.

One day it will be us so until then Mountain View Health Family stay positive , it's more than a 9-5 ,it's showing you are not selfish working with family who's not your immediate. But wen I walk in the lobby it very clean and the lady in the front desk was so very nice and helpful the nurses are nice and funny and kept coming by to see how my sister is doing and if she needed anything bringing my sugar free snacks. I was blown away! My sister is a happy camper and that's all that matter me. #Thank you Mountainveiw Health Center!

Experiencia negativa: They didn't get my medicine for 2 days. I suffered in pain so badly. They said, "Sorry, I can't get the meds for you. I only lasted 3 days with no medication, even though i had my own. I was forced to go to ER at El Camino Hospital. I couldn't walk and was screaming in pain. El Camimo Hospital gave me sepsis from IV placement that was dirty. The weekend doctor was mean forced me out when the Friday doctor said i could stay and wouldn't look at my iv that was swollen. I was there 2 months and even in a coma for 10 days. I don't recommend this place, or El Camino Hospital is the worst place. It's only 2 Blocks away, and I was paralyzed in my lower back. They even gave me covid. I'm not going back. Im in pain and don't want to suffer again

Experiencia negativa: I cannot emphasize enough how dangerous it is to send an elderly patient here for so-called “rehab”. It is the most understaffed and chaotic place imaginable. Nobody seems to be in charge of medical care, there is no communication between doctors and patient and/or designated family member DPOA’s and there is no coordination between medical staff and rehab staff which leads to endless miscommunications and medical errors. My 87 year old father ended up in the emergency room 5 times in his 2 month stay because of substandard urinary catheter management (filthy, not cleaned properly, repeated infections and multiple obstructions due to improper care). Ultimately, a life threatening diagnosis was missed completely and it was only upon my insistence that he was transferred to the ER for evaluation. It is a miracle he survived his stay there. I have no idea why it has a 4.7 star rating. It is a dangerous place.

With new protocols in regards to check in it may be overwhelming to know what to do when entering the building. The receptionist was proactive to inform the person I was meeting that I have arrived and was attentive to my needs amongst her busy schedule. I loved having the paper based WiFi password and network.

Experiencia fantástica: We chose Mountain View health center for my mom’s rehab, and she has been here for 5 weeks. She received very good care, especially the Physical Therapy’s rehab work, 5-6 days a week. We as family also learn and participated so that we learn the skills to help my mom exercise. We can feel people work here are happy and they communicate and smiles a lot. We are happy mom is making progress here. One thing to note is that family participation is important to give your love one the best care. Some patients ask for help a lot , but the staff need to accommodate every patient so they may be busy helping others and not able to respond right away. Overall this is a good choice for rehab needs.

Therapy team is outstanding and understood my mother's fears, they helped her build confidence in herself and after a month of hard work, she was able to come home safely. Experiencia negativa: This place is horrific! We have just removed my mother after three horrible days or neglect, filth, boisterous partying from the nurses till 2 am. The food is disgusting. I’m not exaggerating. I was sitting opposite my mom with her tray of food between us and I couldn’t tell if it was the stench of urine that permeates the hallways or the gross stinky food. I had to bring her every meal. Literally no one comes to check in on you or help you to walk. It takes a minimum of three button pushes to get an assistant. But because so many patients are screaming for help, unless you are loud you won’t get noticed. I cannot believe this level of care exists in modern day.

Experiencia fantástica: Building is very warm and welcoming, when you walk in you are greeted by Nita very friendly and very helpful receptionist directing me to the right department, which I was greeted by Jonah and Jennifer in the marketing department. They took us on a tour of the facility and I absolutely love their physical therapy department, state of the art equipment . With every questions and concerns I had they not only answered them to my satisfaction but also put my mind at ease leaving my loved one in their care. As I was finishing up with the marketing department their assistant director Jenn introduced herself and just wanted to make sure everything was going well. If you would ask me why do I recommend this facility my response would be, the facility is very clean outside in, all the staff are friendly and always willing to help and if they can't answer a question or request they will solicit the proper response from their supervisor. Experiencia negativa: Very poor staffing people would come check up on my grandpa and then never come back when my grandpa need to be changed or just a simple shave. Also you can never connect to the room phone if your trying to reach your loved on. My grandpa said this was the worst experience he had a rehabilitation center

I was lucky enough to tour while the Activites department was having a great music event for the patients. They seemed to be having a great time and the activities team seemed really engaged. It was wonderful to see. Overall this was a great visit to this facility.

The doctors and nurses work closely together to provide the best quality care possible. I would 100% send my loved one to rehabilitate here.

Experiencia fantástica: Had a wonderful experience when I went to visit this facility. Hallways are clean, rooms are neat & organized. I noticed when I walked around the facility the quickness of the staff & the response times to assist the patients & their needs. The nurses are very attentive to their patients. My grandma stayed her for some time & she loved her nurse. She would always mention how they listen to her needs. The rehab here is immaculate. The rehab team is one of the best in town! If my grandma ever has to return to a SNF. I'm definitely going to have her return here!
