Experiencia fantástica: everyone is pretty attentive with their patients. kind and caring with the best intentions of getting everyone better.

Experiencia fantástica: The staff at the post acute rehab center really care for the residents unlike many senior assisted living places where burnout is evident and compassion fatigue sets in.

Alan Louie 4 months ago

Experiencia positiva: This new check in service is relatively simple, quick and private. The only improvement I see is a translation option for foreign guest where English is a second language or unspoken.

Experiencia fantástica: My wife post stroke came here for an extended stay to recover. The staff are excellent. Very responsive to the patient needs. They work very hard. I have to say the therapists here are amazing people. There dedication to there work is exemplary. This was so encouraging to me and my children during this crisis. The facility has a great courtyard to spend time and have lunch. The place is not a luxurious building and that's just fine. It's all about the people.

Experiencia fantástica: My Uncle Huey has been a patient of this amazing facility for many years, he is so happy here. The staff takes such great care of him, my uncle loves moving all around the facility to see what is going on. The Activity Director, Laura Z, and her team are fantastic. They do such a great job keeping the patients entertained and they provide yummy snacks for everyone. The entertainment never stops. They have movie day, with popcorn, games, painting. I've seen amazing entertainers perform and the list goes on!!! Not to mention the staff is incredibly kind and helpful. I've spent a ton of time with my Uncle and the activities team and it warms my heart to see him enjoy himself so much. He never wants to miss social time. The nursing team is awesome! Jack C., the Director of Nursing is very personable, knowledgable, attentive to details and so nice. When I have questions regarding my uncle, her and her team respond quickly. It's nice to see them taking such great care of everyone. I've probably spent the most time with the Social Services team. I would like to thank Bojo P, Carlos and the entire Social Services team. I've worked with Bojo probably the longest, and she has always been very helpful. Someone is always in the office to help with questions. Any questions I may have, their response time is impressive!!!! I also want to thank Condra, Front Office Administrator. She has been there since day one of my Uncle's journey at Los Altos Post-Acute. She remembers all of my families names, she is so helpfuL and so kind. When I visit, I often see many of the patients hanging out with her. It's pretty cute. I just wanted her to know that we see you too and THANK YOU!!!! Lastly, I want to thank the team who helps my uncle with his care. Thank you for helping him with his personal needs while, his meals and getting him tucked in for the night. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. I want to add your names to this review because I don't want your great work to go unnoticed. Our family would like to thank you. Please keep up the great work. Kindest regards, D.

Experiencia positiva: The case manger department was so helpful, making sure we had everything we needed to get my dad home. They informed me of what was covered by insurance so we could make informed decision on a realse date and even provided a contact for the VA so we could get home care. Thank you!!

Experiencia negativa: In less than 24 hours, my father went hours without required tube feeding, was given water he shouldn’t have, and fell off the bed, getting injured. Supervision was inadequate. I cannot recommend this facility for anyone needing safe, reliable post-surgical care.

Experiencia fantástica: I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the amazing team at [Facility Care – Los Altos]. From the dedicated physiotherapists to the caring nurse assistants, and the nurse in charge of calls, Social workers and management care team, every one of you has shown kindness, professionalism, and unwavering support during my time here. Your encouragement and patience have made every step of this journey easier and more meaningful. I feel truly fortunate to have learned and grown alongside such a compassionate and skilled group. Thank you for believing in me and for creating an environment where people can thrive. Wishing each of you continued success and happiness. Mandana Shafiee

Experiencia fantástica: My Uncle needed rehab and I'm familiar with the wonderful team at Los Altos, they are extremely caring and have a very experienced Pt/OT team. The nursing team is also excellent , which starts from the top with the Executive Director, Director of nurses and down to the CNA's. Like all patients my Uncle does want to be at home and not at a skilled nursing facility but with the great rehab he is getting he'll be set up for a successful transition home. My family is very happy with the care he is receiving at Los Altos Sub-Acute.

Experiencia negativa: I would give zero stars if it would allow. This place is poorly run, filthy, with an untrained staff of people who do not care if you live or die. If you ring the buzzer for assistance, they will ignore you. If you call or knock on the doors of staff members, they simply ignore you. The food is disgusting, and the staff, with the exception of some of the R.N.s, are incompetent, and they will smile to your face and promise the world, then ignore your loved one's needs. Several staff members, including the director, have passive-aggressive attitudes and will give you the runaround rather than taking accountability or rectifying issues. Stay away from this place. I would not wish this on my worst enemy. You would have a better survival rate in prison. It should be condemned.

Experiencia fantástica: My experience at Los Altos gave me the care I needed. All the staff was understanding of my needs and very accommodating. I learned that the patients' corporation in working with the people who are there to help you heal is Los Altos' priority. It's a great facility.

Experiencia fantástica: My wife is disabled and has been in and out of many different skilled nursing facilities, and Los Altos Sub-Acute & Rehabilitation Center is by far the best one she's ever been in! It's clean and the staff are caring, helpful and seem actually happy to be working there. It's a great healing environment!

Experiencia fantástica: My family and i have been looking for a rehabilitation program for our father,  as he will need rehabilitation after his discharge from the hospital. after visiting so many different places, our search for a good fitting facility for our father came to fruition when we visited los altos sub-acute & rehabilitation. As soon as we arrived at the facility, we were immediately assisted. Karina, the director of business development, introduced herself with a big smile and a warm welcome towards us. She told us that she is more than happy to assist us, answer any questions we had about the facility & even offer to give us a tour of the place as well. She was super patient & respectful, which to us was phenomenal. Thanks to Karina's, knowledge and expertise, our family has decided to go with this facility, as the atmosphere and the staff were amazing, Which gave us assurance that this is the right place for our father.

Experiencia fantástica: I have enrolled in the CNA program. Our teacher is great! She is very knowledgeable and professionally competent. She is very dedicated to her teaching. She knows how to motivate and encourage each student based on their individual needs. During the practical classes, she approaches her work with professionalism and sincerity. She leads us with precision, pays attention to every detail, and corrects our mistakes promptly. Her goal is for each of us to excel and become highly skilled professionals in our field as CNAs. The facility is meticulously maintained, spotless, and well organized.

Experiencia fantástica: My mum was admitted to the facility on the 10th August after a severe stroke. She was in the ICU for a week before we were transferred to this sub-acute centre. At the beginning, my mum couldn’t move the body parts, couldn’t swallow, couldn’t use the toilet herself, couldn’t turn on bed, and she couldn’t even lift her finger. I was told by the doctor that she might have to stay in bed for the rest of her life with intensive care. In the short two months time, with the best care from the team in this center, the most caring and professional PT/OT/ST therapists, my mum achieves her first step then a solid walking distance of 31 feet today, she manages to sit on the commode everyday a few times to solve her toilet issues, she can transfer from different surfaces with the walker and a little assistant. I have to say, my mom’s recovery is a miracle. Without the fantastic team support from the Los Altos rehab centre, We could never achieved this progress. We really appreciate God Gives mum a second chance and Let her see the hope in life again. She is so grateful to be able to “walk back” home after the two months staying. Thanksgiving list should be endless including the nurses, the CNAs, the doctors, the social workers, the therapists, the Directors and the support from Stanford hospital. You are all the heroes! Thank you.

Experiencia positiva: This is my initial review after my mom has been at LASA for 4 days. I plan to update when she leaves the facility, who knows it may be 5 Stars, only time will tell. Los Altos Sub-Acute and Rehabilitation Facility (LASA) has been a good option for my mom's care after her transfer from Kaiser Permanente in San Francisco. We were lucky to secure one of the few available Skilled Nursing Facility beds, and here it was the 4-person to a semi-private room with a curtain like at a hospital. The staff at all levels have been consistently caring and professional. Night nurse Damarah Madriaga was very supportive upon arrival. Saloni's rehab team, including the Speech Therapist Cindy Lu, Physical Therapist, and Occupational Therapist, are working collaboratively. Their aim is to help my mom spring back, day by day, focusing on improving her independence, mobility, and engagement. They've provided crucial exercises for swallowing, cognition, and overall physical functions. CNAs Nikhil, Omar Tellez, Armando Alfaro, and Hellen have been tireless in their assistance. Donna in admissions has been exceptionally supportive, and Laura in Activities has not only been helpful but also shown interest in aiding my mom's cognitive engagement during her stay. I met Karina, one of the business directors, who informed me that LASA is under new management and actively working to rebuild its brand. This proactive approach to improvement is promising. LASA's free CNA program is a great initiative to combat staffing shortages - which has been systemic in California, so I'm appreciative for the support. And I can see the 5 star reviews from the students, which is a positive thing to have caring staff members and future staff members. And from I can tell they accommodate patients from various economic backgrounds from private rooms to semi ( 2 or 3 ppl) or my mom's case (4 ppl in a room). LASA provides comprehensive care with dedication and shows a commitment to enhancing their services. I'm thankful for their efforts during this challenging time.

Experiencia positiva: I love the activities and the people. It made ìt a great place to stay. The problems always with the prescriptions ran out 17 times. I needed to be closer to my family cause my grandma passed, so Dr. told me I couldn't go without a person with me. I missed being with my family in a time of need. she said she would kick me out on Thanksgiving. Then she gave me another day, then said it was ok to leave with just a walker. Not a wheelchair. I did like Thanksgiving there. A huge place. The director helped me alot. Got to watch movies on Halloween outside, under the stars and moon. It was a nice private room!

Cedric Edwards 1 year ago

Experiencia positiva: All I have to say is Young and Roma are the best nurses for my care here at the facility. When they are on shift they make me feel like my well being is important. They take the time out to check on me and ask me questions to make sure I am okay regardless of how many patients they have. Even if they are doing a extra shift they maintain a professionalism and caring attitude. I'm not saying that all the other nurses are bad I'm just saying that I look forward to seeing Roma and Young and I really appreciate their charisma and work ethic towards me. Roma and Young are 5 star nurses when it comes to my Healthcare.

Experiencia negativa: 4TH & FINAL UPDATE: the facility finally paid their judgement. They were over the due date and my poor mom had to call to push them along, but they finally did. My mom is in her way to recovery. 3RD REVIEW UPDATE as of Nov. 22nd 2023: This facility is overdue in its judgement payment to my mom. They had 30 days to pay and they have not done their due diligence. We will file the proper paperwork and go to court again. 2ND REVIEW UPDATE as of October 17th, 2023…WE WON!!! Today we went to Santa Clara County Superior Court and Los Altos was found liable of all damages plus all court fees. I’m so happy for my mom, she will finally be able to talk and eat normally once again. The facility has 30 days to pay, so I’m going to continue to post updates until the dentist has confirmed payment. Maybe they will pay before the due date…I won’t hold my breath though. If Los Altos is reading this, redeem yourselves, and pay in a timely manner for once. REVIEW UPDATE as of July 2023, this center still refuses to pay for the entire cost. Legal paperwork has been filled out with the Santa Clara County Court and it looks like we will be going to court. ORIGINAL: This facility threw away my mom’s dentures by accident. It’s okay, accident happen, we only requested that they replace them so she can eat. This facility refused to replace them immediately stating that she was able to “eat perfectly fine without them.” After months and months of going back and forth with the facility, Alexa one of the social workers of this facility, they finally agreed to pay. They stalled for months trying not pay knowing that it would be expensive. TOO BAD SO SAD! When my mom left this facility they still had not replaced her dentures and “promised” they would still pay and that a check would be sent out. Due to the fact that didn’t have her dentures for so long, when my mom went to her dentist stated “she has been using her left side where there's a bridge. This is the only chewing side she has since the partial dentures were lost. It is now traumatized and shattered into pieces, and unrepairable.” Her dentist’s words, not mine. As of now, my mom has not had her dentures for over 9 months now. Ever since they heard that they also are liable for this, they have stopped taking the dentist calls. And my mom is still without her dentures and with a broken bridge because of their negligence. My mom will be suing with you! You will not only pay for the dentures, the repair of the bridge, but also all legal fees. You thought it was expensive before, it will most definitely be now. Maybe this will finally get your attention.

Experiencia fantástica: Recently had a family member at Los Altos sub acute, despite the reviews I gave this facility an opportunity because it’s close to my home. My mom was able to have a short drive to visit my dad & also was able to stay over night the first night he was transferred from Stanford hospital. The activities department was the highlight of the stay, Laura & her team made the residents feel welcomed & the room was always filled throughout the day with happy residents.

Experiencia negativa: I am totally disgusted with the lack of any respect to my condition and pain. This RN Yong continually delayed my medication.the nerve of him. He even told me to return to my room, sort of like a child..He told me they ran out of my pills which I dont believe. He is not professional. However I felt that the attitude permeated from the management who seemed to be absent including at my discharge where the only person in Charge was the driver Alfredo who told me I just had to get in the truck without my rolator walker while I cant put any weight on my leg at all. Also no medication. The social worker Ryan Santos was also worth less than nothing. He called me on a private Kansas City line and yet never left a message or returned a call or answered. WHAT A TOTAL MESS I DIDNT NEED

Sandra Castaneda 2 years ago

Experiencia positiva: Yong is by far the best, knowledgeable RN . He should be promoted and used to train other RNs. His actions speak greater than words. He is diligent in caring for patients!

Experiencia fantástica: I recently stayed here back in April 2023 until the first part of May 2023. 1 Month total. Recovering from a back surgery. My experience with this facility was a good experience. I did have a couple of incidents but they took care of them right away. Laura Zulueta, Christina and Brian were right on top of it and corrected them n helped make my stay a pleasant one and as well as the rest of the staff. Nurses, Rita, Ray, Ricki, Alyssa, CNA's, Sheriff, Harsh, Daphnney, Saul, Omar just naming a few, Wound Nurse Myrta, Pt & OT and even the housekeeping made my stay a good experience. Thank you LASA for all you did in helping me in my recovery. Cindy H

David Schaack 2 years ago

Experiencia fantástica: I'am new at this game of reviews, However I find it necessary, To speak from the heart and review with a positive wide eyed approach. As a guest of this facility 4 years ago and now again. I'm here one more time going through rehab After surgery. The positive, outweighs any negative you might try to find, the people. Here are excellent from staff, To administration. All the way down to the people that help keep my room clean my bed clean and my spirits up! For this review I plan on talking about one experience at a time that, Way you get more of the hands on approach to the truth of what's going On around Here and not the bad reviews that I just Recently Read that actually make no sense to me, so off to physical therapy. And I'll get back to you later thank you, Dave.

Experiencia negativa: Absolutely horrific care at this facility, nobody answers the phone and when they do they transfer you to another station and nobody answers that phone and then you get cut off repeatedly. It should be shut down. Our aunt whom has blood clots in her legs as the reason she it there and she is 96 and has not seen a single person the entire day today. Absolutely unacceptable that we cannot contact ANYONE at any of their phone numbers.

Experiencia fantástica: My stepdad was well taken care of in this facility. He spent 20 days in there being looked after and having daily sessions with physio and occupational therapists. The staff is extremely responsive but I want to single out Laura Zulueta. Laura went above and beyond by taking personal time to look after my and she took an initiative to update my on the daily basis in regards to my stepdads recovery. I am extremely grateful for the facility team effort that resulted in remarkable improvement in my dad's condition.

Experiencia negativa: This is a very poor decision on Stanford to place their patients for care. This is a third world set up that under minds professional care and common courtesy. This place needs to be shut down simply because we are in America. We all deserve better. Period! -rude nurses -extreme temperatures -horrible food -horrible housekeeping -overly crowded

Experiencia positiva: This is my husband’s 4th stay at a rehab facility so we know how they function. We’re coming from Vallejo since no beds are nearby. My first disgust was there was no admissions team available to tell me (his wife) about how this place operates. When I asked the front office she was very agitated. I insisted on having something IN WRITING about the place. The case manager gave me a poor xerox copy Of some explanation. The medical team included me in a conference call for an update, the second week of his stay. The Kaiser Dr. & Nurse were forthcoming with information. The case manager seemed ANNOYED WITH THE MANY QUESTIONS I HAD. AT Discharge I found that the staff nurses had neglected to change the Nephrostomy bandage the entire 3 weeks my husband was there. Those instructions were included when he arrived there. Now the CNA’s kept him clean & fed and the IV therapy was administered correctly. This company needs to create a BETTER INTAKE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM. Thanks

Experiencia negativa: **DO NOT BRING ANY IF YOUR LOVED INE HERE** This place is horrible, mom is currently there for the past 4 days and everyday when I visit my mom is in tears. It takes forever for someone to attend on her, she's diabetic and there were a lot of instances where her blood sugar is dropping, she would push the button and it takes forever for someone to attend to her. There was one point that her sugar is already at 40's when someone finally came to her after pressing the call button repeatedly. There was one time that mom has that she had been calling for someone to clean her and it was only when lunch is being served when someone came, she asked to be changed and she was refused, when I talk to the nurse, I was given a straight lie that it is a state law that no one can be changed when there's fooe. There is no such law. And who would wanted to eat when you're sitting in your own filth? I also encountered a PT saying to a sleeping patient that they'll be doing their therapy early since niners game is started soon, being an adult sleeping the patient didn't want to do anything, and the PT just said, are you declining PT? Just say yes so I can get out of your hair". Therapy does not work that way. People send their lived one to rehab to regain straight, but with this filthy place and with horrible time frame before someone goes to you to help, instead of recovering this place would just make the patient worst.

Experiencia fantástica: My Mom was at LASA for the past 8 years and three months to be exact until she passed away September 16, 2022. This was her home and she was well cared for by all the people that surrounded her during her stay. Laura and her team (Aida, Yen, Josie) are amazing at making sure activities went on before, and during the pandemic to ease the boredom of the residents. In addition they also took on additional tasks during the Covid isolation time frame. This is a never ending thank you to Helen, Cora, Rosa, Fabiola, Yadira, Eric who helped take care of my Mom, especially with the collaboration with Heartland Hospice care. Mom went peaceful at her home called Los Altos Sub-Acute & Rehabilitation Center. I miss my Mom and will miss the wonderful staff of LASA. George, thank you so much for caring not only my Mom but all of the residents at LASA and the support of the staff to enhance the care and services they provide. Keep up the good service.

Experiencia negativa: For five days with many many requests, no nurse, no doctor, no one from this facility update the status of the patient. Four days after, we put in a request to transfer to a different facility and no one did anything at the facility. The last day, the manger was supposed to arrange for transport to get the patient home, she left work without telling anybody. I did not recommend anybody to sent their loved one there.

Experiencia negativa: My grandma was sent here. Such a horrible place! She got a horrible bed sore because she was not being tended too, staff didn’t do anything to prevent this from happening like they should have done! She is now in the hospital with an infection that this place tried to say was pneumonia! She didn’t even have that, it was the bed sore! There was also an incident where we heard they gave her insulin (she’s not diabetic) , they told us they did and wen we asked to confirm again, they decided to say they never gave her that. Bad , bad , bad , please look for another place to take your loved one!

Experiencia negativa: This place is horrible. My mother went there right after bieng released from Stanford (bad move on Stanford). She was having night sweats and feeling a fever and bleeding allot in puddles when going to the bathroom. She told them allot of times... guess what they'd said? "Oh is because your hot, and the bleeding is normal is because you're constipated" they didn't even took her temperature when my mom was telling them over and over again to take it.. Until one lady (the one who cleans) said that she looked ill to call the ambulance because they never do anything anyways. The lady gave her the address. So she did. The paramedics were angerd because it was a cause of concern... don't send your love ones here. These people don't know what they're doing or they're just lazy. They will ignore and treat your love ones like they're crazy. It's sad this place is still open it should be shut down

Experiencia negativa: My dad was admitted on Monday 3/21. I visited with my mom that evening and the next day and didn't have any issue. This morning my brother went to check on him in the morning and was told he had fallen from the bed, but we never got notified by anyone until we showed up. Also another thing even more concerning was a nurse came in to give my dad some eye drops. My dad stopped her and asked to see the bottle. It turned out to be ointment for the ears and not for the eyes! This is extremely dangerous and the nurse had no answers. We are extremely disappointed and decided to check him out on 3/23. I would avoid this place at all costs.

Experiencia negativa: Don't look for help at night CNAs and nurses at night twice I had my call light on for 4 hours and nobody showed up. Never go there again

Vit R 4 years ago

Experiencia negativa: One nurse for 18 patients. Impossible and heartbreaking. they are indeed understaffed. They do not answer the phones even though there are CNA’s and nurses playing on their phones all night at the station. They also laugh at the patients, and mock the patients who are suffering and scared. This is akin to a prison or a badly run internment camp. AVOID THIS EVIL THIRD WORLD TYPE REHAB AT ALL COST. .

Experiencia negativa: Takes forever for someone to answer call button.... 45 minutes when I was here last Monday, over an hour today!!! Totally unacceptable!

Belinda Rivera 4 years ago

Experiencia negativa: The hospital staff is not very helpful. They hang up when you call. When they do answer, they ignore your request to check on the patient and I can see why this place was rated 1.9. The nursing staff has no compassion when it comes to patients that need assistance, if a, patient complains, the staff treats them very badly That is not Patient care. .

Experiencia negativa: I’m very disappointed with the case worker at Stanford hospital to keep sending patients to this place. Please don’t allow your loved ones to be sent here! This place in my opinion should be shut down. The doctor here is great and that’s all the good thing I can say about this place. Food is horrible and I would not even feed it to my pets! FIRE THE SHEF. Food is delivered from outside and it takes about 25 minutes to deliver it to your room. They mix up patients with different needs together in one room. When you call for aid, expect about 30 to 40 minutes delay before someone answers. DON’T SEND YOUR LOVED ONES TO THIS PLCE.

Experiencia negativa: Please do not send your loved ones here. My mom was transferred here from the hospital for PT. She sees her nurse maybe once per day. She is unable to move her legs on her own, all they do is give her a print out and walk out, she has told them multiple times that she is unable to do the exercises on her own and still they don’t help her. The food is terrible, she has been complaining of UTI like symptoms for days and they have done nothing about it even though she has a history of having to get dialysis, it should be considered seriously. We have opted to care for her at home, whatever we can do is 100% more than what they are doing there. I have called multiple times and was able to get through to Maria, the nursing director only once, and she had nothing but excuses without listening and did not offer any solutions. After that she never answered nor returned any of my calls. I also kept trying to get a hold of social services to have my mother transferred and they never returned my call. I could go on and on about everything that is wrong with this place but you get the point. Please consider other places for your loved ones specially now that most places do not allow visitors because of COVID.

Experiencia negativa: Horrible service, no one is ever available to get information about your loved one. It's very frustrating leaving your phone number so a social worker calls you back and NEVER get the call back, nurses not responding the phone, they are always passing med and never call you back. The last 3 weeks I've been calling and leaving my phone number so they call me whenever they want and until now no one has call me back.

Experiencia negativa: Please replace the leader everyone is complaining about online. She is the reason this place is having issues. There is also a nurse that goes around stating nurse supervisor D, nurse Supervisor S, Nurse R, and sweet new nurse M administers the wrong narcotic medication. The problem with that is it’s done with a chuckle and behind the victims back. Additionally, it’s concerning that both leaders favor this nurse, stating she’s a very good nurse. Favoritism

Experiencia negativa: The place is being run with the foremost goal of making money, where it is staffed with poorly trained CNAs. the new director takes side with unqualified CNAs who mis report, distort in order to cover up their own short comings. She carelessly helps to create defamtion of patient's loved one. Furthermore, the CEO is disrespectful of family members and unaware of her offensive attitude. My follow up after my previous review, Above, X XXX Four stars Now: I have learned since my last review, that there has been progress and improvement both had shown by the director of nursing and the director of the faulty. I am feeling encouraged to have observed changes for the betterment of patient care and staff's attitude in general. Ms. Mary Dwyer RN, as regional director clinical operation presence made a substantial difference. I want to increase my stars for their fine job in improvement.

Experiencia negativa: Not very happy with this place. We told them not to give my Dad any sugar because he has Cancer.. Well the fed him sugar through the I.Vs', for three days. They fill the rooms up with four patient in a room where there is no privacy, nor room to have visitors..things were left in his Bed side drawer from a prior patient..?? So you know they do not clean nor sanitize the rooms..Things left under the bed..not good at all. From yours truly R.Laapui

Experiencia negativa: This clinic does not administer ginladin/ morphine by I. V. We were told this was the only place closest to San Jose. We are from San Jose. This has been a major set back in the recovery of my husband's stomach and liver cancer. The nurses are great but management rates a big Zero. Mrs RNunez desperately concerned. HUGE SET BACK.. Also many of you may not know that cancer thrives on sugar, I had to argue with Administrator not to give this to my husband. THATS NOT RIGHT.

Experiencia negativa: New ownership too concerned with profit over patients My Mom has had to call Senior Omnbudsman several times regarding lack of medical care After suffering from a horrible rash for months I finally got her to a caring and reputable dermatologist. SCABIES! Quality and choices of menu items equals Dickensian orphans fare

Experiencia negativa: My mom was a resident of Los Altos Sub-acute up until February 2015. My mom lost her life in the care, and directly due from lack of staffing and training while on a shopping field trip. I only share this life changing event with you because I do not ever want another family to go through what my family and I have been through. No amount of money will ever bring my Mom back. RIP Mom. Your great sense of humor and kindness still lives on.

Experiencia negativa: My Tata was only here for a few weeks, and let me tell you first hand is the quality of standard health care is not practiced here. For this purpose not worth the energy .

Experiencia negativa: It seems that plenty of good people in this field of job.maybe they just work for the money and they don't LOVE their job.many incident happen to my father but nothing in written report...he's been neglected too.is it because he's on Medi Cal?patients are not problem....as long as the worker are flexible and happy!everything will be possible.

Experiencia fantástica: My experience was very positive! The therapy was great. Patrick is tops. I also have special dietary requirements and the dietician really worked with me. The activities are fun too.

Gina Brice 10 years ago

Experiencia fantástica: Their Physical therapist and Occupational therapist's are the best, the gym staff are the best, as a total knee replacement surgery, that's what you need. Sadly their food is, so sad and scary one dish l took the clamshell off and screamed, it looked like it was an alien. The nursing staff is sweet even if a conflict arises.

Experiencia negativa: This facility claims to provide comprehensive wound care. My fiance has lived there for over a year. He is paralyzed and needs help to turn every two hours. When he first went there, he had one small bed sore. Now it is larger than my fist and two more have developed. He complains all the time that the nursing staff do not do their jobs. They often don't respond to call lights for over an hour. When I call the light is not on at the nurse's station but then they verify it is on in his room. He has reported that one nurse attempted to give him duplicate medication, another touched him twice with someone else's feces on her gloves, and they gave him gowns to wear with bloody stains on them. We would not recommend this facility. The food is downright awful and pretty much only the administrators and a few nurses speak fluent English so communicating with the staff is difficult at best when you need to describe the help you need. The directors will also lie to you and then deny it and say you are the liar. About the only thing good about the place is its proximity to Stanford.

Experiencia positiva: I became ill & after spending a week in Stanford Hospital they sent me here. Of course this isn't Stanford but care here isn't bad either.
