Beaumont VA Clinic: Opiniones
Experiencia negativa: Save the headache of dealing with the VA and just get a personal doctor. 3 hour waits combined with most of the staff having some sort of attitude the entire time
Experiencia negativa: Terrible customer service I was just calling to set an appointment and the receptionist was rude and then put me on hold without asking and I sat on hold for 30 minutes before eventually hanging up and calling a different location for my appointment.
Experiencia fantástica: Very good service for Veterans
Experiencia negativa: Most people try their best to help us ( Veterans) feel that they are welcomed and not forgotten. There are still a few at a reception desk who like to be gruff and huffy.
Experiencia negativa: There is no good reason to be on hold for 30 minutes.
Experiencia negativa: This is by far the worst VA clinic I’ve experienced in Texas. I was a patient here for 6 months before leaving due to serious issues with my care. As a veteran with a severe mental health history, I found that my nurse documented things in my medical record that did not match what was said in our appointments — even after I confronted her. When I tried to fix these problems, my calls often went unanswered or were redirected. In my experience, staff rely on templates instead of accurately recording what happens in appointments. I filed complaints with the patient advocate, privacy office, and OIG, and I now have a pending SF-95 claim. Veterans considering this clinic should carefully review their records and advocate strongly for themselves
Experiencia negativa: There should be an option for zero stars. The way they speak to people and the attitude they have towards the veterans is absolutely ridiculous. They aren’t trying to give you medical care just get you out the door. Rarely there’s even a dr here. The staff does not care about you and is incompetent. We have been waiting for months for paperwork that was the incorrect paperwork because of the staffs ignorance. Went in again yesterday to try and file for the right paperwork after talking to VSO and they attempted to send us the exact same process as last time until we told them no that’s not what we needed, so they bring us back give us the wrong form to fill out and luckily caught it or we’d be out months again for the wrong thing. We attempted to ask about turn around time and they last couldn’t give us any explanation at all and zero remorse for the fact our wasted months was their fault.
Experiencia negativa: My appointment at the eye clinic was cancelled and now i cant reach them to reschedule. Do they need more appointment staff?
Experiencia negativa: I was to be seen for an acute lower back injury, emphasis on acute. When I went to my appointment in Beaumont, the "Doctor " was so concerned and her first priority was that of new patients questions. Focusing on these questions but not even the least bit inquisitive about my inhury. I understand oaperwork needs to be conpleted. The fact is not lost on me. The same ones I answered from the LVN. Secondly I was not a new patient. As informed by the LVN I was just shy a week, ironically. During the "examine" using that lightly because, the doctor only physically checked my breathing. Even though I mentioned my recent ER visit pertaining to my lower nack. After describing my acute injury, she continues to inquire about my Vitamin D levels. The priorities here are or lack there of is insane. I am blown away at this is the level of care offered. The lack of care is mind boggling. This is the second doctor that is wholeheartedly unqualified for the position. I quit coming previously even thugh i had zero insurance because of the quality of care here is non-existent. Feel like our state leadership needs to look into this.
Experiencia negativa: Horrible VA. Very incompetent and rude staff. If i could give zero stars, I would.
Experiencia negativa: Awfully in efficient, we moved from Arkansas and thought this was going to be better but NOT. They put you on hold and forget you. Still waiting on travel pay from 3 months ago, when we turned it in to them. And now can’t get the doctor to sign the paperwork for my husband to get his disability tags for the car, she has had it a week and running!
Experiencia fantástica: I think that they are very nice and very helpfull.
Experiencia fantástica: I think that they are very nice and very helpfull.
Experiencia negativa: I have been to several VA's in my life life for treatment some excellent and some not so great but this va is the worst of them all when I moved to Texas 3 years ago I went through the process of showing them the list of all my medications I am on from the previous va in Tennessee all medications are on there. But somehow not all of them wound up in my records. They are very disrespectful to the veterans and are no help when you try to sort out your medications records it's one of those situations if you're not their race they ignore you fixing to file a medical malpractice suit against the dr and staff at this va facility.
Experiencia negativa: Were very rude and wanted me to go elsewhere and not come back, go to emergency care, been all over on our travels and have never encountered this before
Experiencia fantástica: Been coming here for 10 years now and have yet to have a bad experience. Not sure why some folks seem to review that they argue with the staff, etc., that’s never been my experience. I schedule my appointments online, then receive a call to verify them. My doctors have always been nice and I’ve never had a negative experience with the staff. I think some folks come here wanting problems, because I don’t see it. Could the wait times for appointments be shorter? Sure, but I’ve never sat there longer than 30 minutes from my scheduled time. If you treat people nice, they usually treat you nice back. If you’re a Veteran that comes in with an attitude every time (I’ve seen it), then yeah, you probably leave reviews about how you were “mistreated”. I came here today 12/23/2024 and a nice woman was walking around handing out Christmas cards to every Veteran in here and offering coffee. This place doesn’t deserve the low rating it has.
Experiencia negativa: Hard to get people to answer the phones, appointments were cancelled three times.
Experiencia negativa: Check in desk and customer service is the worst! They should not be serving our veterans! It makes me sick to think that our veterans receive treatment from these people who think they are better. The doctors are confused and their nurses do everything for them. They go in circles, nobody can figure anything out. You can fill out 3 complaints a day and nobody will see them or cares. I just filled one out today and the front desk lady just left it laying there, even with my personal info on it. I didn't say anything, every patient deserves to read what I wrote! It is despicable.
Experiencia fantástica: Quality staff. Caring folks. Love this outfit.
Experiencia fantástica: Quality staff. Caring folks. Love this outfit.
Experiencia negativa: Very unfortunate to have, yet again, another VA clinic that is very forward about not caring for their patients. I am writing this review while on the phone waiting for someone to just answer and its now been north of 20 mins... And whenever someone does answer, its usually some woman that is rude and only cares for your last name and last four of social. Just straight up rude and nor caring. Also, setting up an appointment for mental health they will schedule you 2+ months out. That's 2 months you will have to wait to get seen for mental health. And when you finally are seen you tell the doctor that its crazy to wait that long but all they do is laugh and say that 2 months is lucky of me because its usually longer.. just sad that vets have to go through this.
Experiencia negativa: Why are there reviews anyways? It's a govt Bureaucracy, they don't have to compete with anyone. This is why socialism is BAD people, wake up.
Experiencia negativa: The employees act as they are working just for their paycheck. No regards to your well being.
Experiencia negativa: I have literally called non stop for hours today and no one will answer the phone.
Experiencia negativa: What is up with the attitude towards vets ? I couldn’t suggest a better place if you’re looking for an argument. Lazy folks- Someone needs to go in there and CLEAN HOUSE.
Experiencia negativa: I recently transferred from the VA clinic in Vancouver, Washington. I had always received excellent care at the Washington clinic, but unfortunately, my experience at this new clinic has been very disappointing. They messed up my appointments and the doctors did not seem to care about my well-being. I had to go for an MRI, but it has been over a month now and I still have not received any results. I had to use my wife's medical insurance to see a doctor who actually cares about my health.

Experiencia negativa: This clinic is the worst. Social worker prevent me get care I NEEDED. after given wrong medicatoon....she sent me away said come back when u have an apointment.. WTH. .i suffered and blanked out...this is criminal....my grandson drowned because i couldnt save him. I couldnt drive to houston. I was not well. She was uncaring and need to be held accountable. Y. MONDAY.
Experiencia positiva: I was able to see one of my doctors, get some test ordered, and then got an opentment to see mental hearth right then. I ĝot more done then expected.
Experiencia negativa: Absolutely unacceptable staff. There is no urgency for anything. I broke my hand and gave them my discharge papers from the hospital and doctor Kumari wasn’t there and the next day still never got a call. I’m waiting to see if someone is going to call me. I broke my hand 2 weeks ago. You’d think someone would call me whether it be a nurse or the doctor but no. I can’t get anyone on the phone and they just say “the doctor will call you”.
Experiencia negativa: My doctor hardly ever does what she says she will and I always have to call later to get her to complete the things we talk about in my appointments. Then sometimes she will tell me that she never said she was going to do the things we talk about. When I call I can only talk to a nurse and always have to wait for return calls days or even a week later. On top of all that, the appointments I have are virtual from the VAMC. I should be able to just do them at home... I have been to a lot of VAMC's due to my moving around. This is pretty typical of them. Most deserve a single star. Something needs to change. These people and the system they work for is the sole reason there are so many veteran suicides.
Experiencia positiva: There is sometimes confusion with appointments being canceled or changed. The staff are all helpful and kind.
Experiencia negativa: NEVER able to speak to Dr, nurse etc for help. Phone rings several times ,then hangs up or 30 min on hold, then hangs up. Most disorganized clinic of any kind. So much confusion. Some really good people here but more are rude and act like they wish they worked elsewhere. I wish they did too.
Experiencia negativa: I have recently transferred from the Austin Clinic VA where I was a patient for over 10 years, to Beaumont, where they acted like i was a new VA precipitant, I had to start or answer for every little thing, medication, and care I had taken, only to be denied several medications I have been taking for over 10 years, I have been here for over a year and yet to see a Dr, they dont have one, cannot get care for my hearing, no audiologist available. I have requested community care only to be sent in circles for a Dr referral, whom i am assigned someone in Houston, so no DR. this has got to be the worst VA and care for military personnel i have ever witnessed, I'm not certain who read these but I hope someone in a higher chain of command does and investigates and corrects these failing procedures. What a joke for needed medical care!!! 00000 stars!!
Experiencia negativa: Was supposed to be the first qppt of the day at 0800, was not seen for vitals til 0840 and then had to wait on the Dr who then said she didn't have time to go over everything and we'd have to try and cover anything she didn't get to at the next appt.
Experiencia fantástica: "Update: June 24th 2025, the VA has taken strides in streamlining Veteran care in all its facilities, it is not the same as it used to be. You can pre check in to your appointments. They really care about veterans and working on their timeframes. " Previous review: I could go to Houston 2 hrs away and be seen.. However if you dont go to this outpatient clinic they will not see you unless you are seen within 2 yrs.. They will refuse you to be seen. In Baton rouge I was seen immediately that day at that va outpatient clinic.
Experiencia negativa: There are some stars here for sure that are helpful and seem to really care. Then there are people who will make you feel like you are bothering them by calling them about an appointment they set up. There are Doctors who will interrogate you instead of try to help. Go to Houston if you can.
Experiencia negativa: Myia Macks Barton is the worst social worker there and takes veterans money. She should be ashamed of herself and counteracts all of her actions like staying at home working on the clock while not working by putting glowing reviews of herself all over the internet like linkin, facebook, google and more. Dont believe all those lies.
Experiencia negativa: I have tried over 20 times to call and set up my primary care provider. Only to be transfered and Noone picking up the other line. Impossible to leave a message before the call hangs up. This is the problem VETs have to deal with just to set up primary care? I have no other option but to keep trying.
Experiencia negativa: Haven't been able to see my Dr. In the last 3 appointments, was there early for each one. Seems they over book apps. Also shuttle service is almost non existant.
Experiencia negativa: People at the check in desk are rude and totally unprofessional. Visited the clinic on 2/13/2023 to get an update on my next appointment and my new doctor, due to the fact that my doctor retired. There was some black dude in a yellow pull over shirt who was extremely rude. I went to another window and the girl was pleasant and helpful. This clinic had hired some real loosers.
Experiencia negativa: Absolutely the worse, hateful, don’t like their job staff as far as the ones who answer the phones and call about scheduling, that I’ve ever had the displeasure of having to deal with. I moved to this area shortly before the Covid hoax hit. Thought it was a great clinic and the people were great. It’s definitely gone down since then. And are still the only facility in the area pushing the worthless mask mandate. Terrible place!
Experiencia negativa: Lack Of Knowledge And Communication Between PCP's And The Decision Makers At The Houston MEDVAMC... Doctors Are Being Ordered To Deny Community Care Referrals To Force Veterans Back To The VA... The VA Secretary Will Deny Knowledge Or Being Privy To These Issue's That Are Nationwide... The Transportation For Veterans Having To Go To Houston Is Non Existent, The Shuttle They Do Have Is Non Handicap Accessible And Due To Depending On Vaulenteer Drivers The Shuttle Isn't Running... The VA And The Directors Are Very Aware Of These Situations And Many More But Are Ordered To Deny And Shift Blame As To Not Give The VA A Bad Image... Complaints And Issues Go Unanswered And OIG, VISN-16, And The Whitehouse VA Hotline Are A Joke!.! There Are Good People In The VA System But Sadly They Are Few And Far Between... Why Do Elected Officials Deserve Better Pay, Better Healthcare, And Better Retirement Packages Than A Veteran?.?
Experiencia negativa: This VA has a lot of good people working there, but their principles are completely out of line with the VA guidelines. I had an appointment with my primare care, waited 6 months for it. A week before the appointment i was moved to another doctor, which is fine, i was hoping to get better care and it be worth the wait. I made a new appointment with the new primary care, another 6 month wait, just to get called 15min before the appointment and have them cancel, was told they would reschedule it and get back with me. Waited 3 months for the call, called to reschedule and ask for help I really just need to see a doctor, told I would have to wait another 6 months. I have tried to do community care, they deny it every time. The main goal should be the care of the veterans, not how much money can you keep in the VA clinic. Waiting almost 2 years for a video call appointment with my primary care, not even getting to see them in person. I've had to go to the ER 3 times just to get seen, they tell me I need to talk to my doctor about things going on with me so I can receive proper care and help. But at this point idk if I have a doctor.
Experiencia negativa: My husband David Knight 0375 , someone called from Beaumont VA and was verifying appointments for the next day. I told my husband asked them to reschedule because I was sick . Well the one on the other side told him they didn't want to. We both were in a car accident head on and I almost didn't make it and I have things going on with me. My husband Is 100 percent connected. If one from there told all VA patients that, then places like that would go out of business. Until this day, they haven't rescheduled an appointment yet. Do they treat all Veterans this way?
Experiencia fantástica: If you need an appointment and you can't get thru, go to the clinic. They took good care of me. They updated my information and scheduled be to see a family care doctor. After that you can do everything on line, refill prescriptions, schedule appointments, or anything else you need to do. They try their best but they are very busy so please have patience. I have insurance but still use the VA because they will take great care of you and you pay nothing!
Experiencia positiva: understaffed and wait times can be difficult, but i've always been treated with respect and understanding. good people.
Experiencia positiva: SUPPORT our vets ... period.
Experiencia positiva: Other than the wait time I have no complaints with this v.a.
Experiencia fantástica: Honestly I don't know how this clinic has received such a low rating unless it used to suck but let me say coming from the San Antonio VA which sucks and has high ratings this place blows them out of the water. The lady that set up my transfer to this location was so friendly and helpful and set up my primary care appointments really fast, she also updated my ID. The ladies at the counter were really nice as well. I didn't have to wait long for my appointments. I met my primary care and she was pretty good. Pharmacy was breeze, same with lab. Even the security guy was friendly! Anyways I am so happy that I moved here and I am able to get care here at this location vs SA.
Experiencia negativa: Very rude!!!!
Experiencia negativa: Scheduled me for 730 tells me to show up 15 minutes early and the place isn't even open .
Experiencia negativa: Many calls and being placed on hold. Then the call is disconnected. How can a Vet get medical attention that is desperately needed?
Experiencia negativa: Currently waiting over an hour to be seen. I arrived for my appointment early and should have been seen at 0920 it is now 1025 at the time i am writing this. This clinic is totally unprofessional. I do not recommend this outpatient clinic for anything outside of your disability rated healthcare.
Experiencia negativa: I am sick and tired of this clinic. I never get a call back from my primary care provider, I try calling and can never get a live person. And anytime I try it rings a few times and then disconnects the call. Everyone who works there needs to pull their s*** together. Unfortunately this is the only clinic I have available. Please do a better job. Signed all vets in setx
Experiencia negativa: The majority of the nurses and the lab staff are quite good… the doctor I see should really be placed in some lower administrative position where she cannot affect medical care of the veterans. I’m supposed to be getting a new doctor, soon, and because of this, the present doctor will not offer any sort of medical care for me… even as minor as renewing prescriptions that I have had for years.
Experiencia negativa: If I could give 0 stars I would. Stay far away from Dr Reddy. She is EXTREMELY EXTREMELY Rude and Disrespectful. Terrible inconsiderate doctor who will not listen to a word you say. And heaven forbid you need to go there to do labs or anything like that. Better pack lunch and dinner cause your going to be there for a LONG time. Stay far far far away from this place. 22 a day and this place is a contributing factor for sure. Lobby is always filled with older veterans waiting to see the doctor with extremely long wait times. Also let’s not forget the fact it takes them like 2-3 months to get you a scheduled apt to see them. Good luck. Do your self a favor and stay away from this rat hole and take the drive to Houston. They at least somewhat care about veterans there.
Experiencia negativa: Long waiting time for appointments after request. Lack of GOOD primary care providers. Also a lack of providers with decent bed side manner. Overall, the service is just bad. The only bright side is the polite and helpful clerks, and ONE of the mental Drs.
Experiencia positiva: It's a VA clinic. Better then driving to Houston. The staff is really great. I've never had a problem with the VA here. They have been really helpful with information and helping me with my injuries from OIF and OEF. Thank you all.
Experiencia negativa: Won't let me put a -100....they say they know everything when you try to explain something but in actuallity they have no common sense from the front receptionist to the black lady in the lab...they belittle you ...not just me but there consistent with everyone...I have to call Houston transplant coordinator to call down there just to set them straight...there worrthless
Experiencia negativa: I can't help but to give the BMT VA 2 stars. Only because it's not everyone there that has a stank attitude and act as if you are bothering them when you call or come in there. Some of the staff are nice, if they know you. But others are outright sobbish and rude as all get out. I called about my medications that has been taking FOREVER to be refilled. After I was on hold for decades, a lady came on the line, tone un-enthusiastic, I told her my issue. Before finishing my story, she rudly cut me off asking for the name of the medications I needed. I was taken back by her attitude but said nothing just yet. So I gave it to her along with the verifying info and waited while I listend to her "I bothered her" breathing on the open line. Once she said it was in, I had to ask her, what was the next step. Do I wait, comd up there, what. She rudly says its coming in the mail. So I said thanks and hung up the phone in her face. One thing I know she haven't learned is being so grateful that she still have a job to go to with a world Pandemic going on. But being outright rude is ridiculous. Don't give out what you don't want to recieve back. They really need some people skill training over there.... IMMEDIATELY! People like her give that place a bad rap, reviews and atmosphere.
Experiencia fantástica: 18 years going never had any problem. Free popcorn, Free Hotdogs, nice hardworking government employees. Folks should inform themselves before discing the VA; the VA doesn't destroy your credit if you don't pay some bill or overcharge your insurance for whatever they can get. Ref: Plato Allegory of the Cave.
Experiencia negativa: Most of the staff are rude.. not a good experience...
Experiencia negativa: I have been coming to this facility for over 10 years now & I must say the treatment has been up & down. There's alot of good, friendly people that work there. There's also many who are very rude & need to learn respect. The mental health receptionist has always been rude from day 1. One person can ruin someone's whole experience. I have had great visits, quick responses and I have had horrible ones. Dr. Sukavaski nurse is a absolute doll. She has always answered my emails right away & has returned my calls quickly. She is very sweet. The lab staff has always been more than friendly as well. Don't let a couple bad apples or a little miscommunication ruin ur view on the whole clinic.
Experiencia fantástica: Easy access to care and doctors.
Experiencia positiva: No cost healthcare to veterans... friendly staff!
Experiencia positiva: No LONG waits everyone friendly and helpful.
Experiencia negativa: Even after the changes made in the Trump Administration, it's still the same sh***y service and they make it extremely difficult to make an appointment. VA system is still failing their veterans.
Experiencia negativa: Came in with severe gout in toe the took blood X-ray then set me in the lobby for so long 6 hrs I could not get up and walk. They don’t even have wheelchairs available this VA CLINIC IS THE ABSOLUTELY THE WORST I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. The VA needs to drain the swamp and should start here.
Experiencia negativa: First off I have never been to this clinic so I want that to be clear. But my experience with trying to schedule an appointment as a new patient has been the worst I have seen. After looking at the reviews from other people i think I am going to go elsewhere for treatment.
Experiencia negativa: Do not bring anyone you care about here. Take the drive to Houston. The clerks all have bad attitudes and think the world owes them something. Now for people that are serving their fellow veterans they have no respect. They are unorganized and do not communicate with each other. This facility needs a group of new staff they actually enjoy serving their veterans because the ones they have hate their job obviously. They talk to the elderly like they are dumb. The nicest people here are the lab staff other then that the rest are rude.
Experiencia negativa: VA needs real help; I cannot tell you how many times they try and reschedule appointments. And not for 1-2 days later! NOOOOO! 4-5 MONTHS! They just called me and told me my optometry appointment needed to be rescheduled from Jan 22 to JUNE!!!! JUNE!!! Are you freaking kidding me?
Experiencia negativa: Absolutely horrific. DO NOT GO HERE. One star is too generous. As much as it sucks to drive to Houston, do it. At least in Houston you will get seen. Beaumont is a joke. The list of discrepancies I have for this place are insane! Hours behind schedule (5 + hours of waiting on more than one occasion) being laughed at by my Dr. when explaining what treatments work for me, being told I am too young to have the issues I was claiming about my heart, being told no tests will be ordered after I've requested them..... My life was quite literally on the line. I moved out of state and was seen at another VA where they actually listened to my concerns. I was just diagnosed there with a heart arrhythmia, Tachycardia, and hypoxia among other issues. STAY AWAY.
Experiencia fantástica: VA did my blood test today, shall be back for physical. Once a year, if there is a dire health need Doctors takes care of it. VA takes care of their veterans and monitors their health.
Experiencia fantástica: Effective while Efficient
Experiencia fantástica: They have always taken care of me great.
Experiencia positiva: I have no issues with this clinic. I feel bad for them. They're under-staffed, underpaid and over-worked through no fault of their own. I do wish there were more services offered, though. Hate the 2.5 hour drive to VA Houston.
Experiencia fantástica: The VA provides the best receptionists, nurses, doctors & pharmacy.
Experiencia negativa: Some of the lab. Techs need to b replaced.its not a good experience.
Experiencia negativa: I just called to cancel my audiology appointment in Beaumont and I was connected to Houston and then transferred to another and another that both stated let me transfer you again the fourth transfer and 17 minutes later I get Beaumont clinic on line to cancel my appointment for Friday .....this is likely why vets don't ever cancel there appointments like suggested because no one or no company should make it this difficult and be this confusing to cancel an appoinment
Experiencia negativa: When you can understand the doctor, they won't listen to you or get you the help you need. You get ignored or another generic pill. Better than no care. Barely
Experiencia negativa: In the last 6 months my dad had gone to the clinic for treatments outside of his normal appointments and both of those visits resulted in a misdiagnosis on his conditions. In February they didn't test him for the flu, but diagnosed him as having the flu. I had to drive him to the V.A in Houston the next night to find out he didn't have the flu he had a infection in his leg that if we hadn't taken him in could have resulted in amputation. Last Friday he wee th in with a racking cough and drainage and they said it was allergies, gave him steroids and a cough suppressant. He went to Houston not even a week later because he wasnt getting better and he has severe bronchitis bordering on pneumonia. I do not know if this is ineptitude or pure laziness, but this clinic needs a drastic change.
Experiencia fantástica: I have never had anything but a great experience at this location. The staff has not only been friendly in their interactions with me, but they have also gone far beyond my initial expectations of service quality. For those of you who have had terrible experiences, my condolences. To those of you for whom your VA journey is only just beginning, I suggest that you approach the oft-battered staff with friendly hearts and patient minds. Best Wishes.
Experiencia negativa: Getting an appointment here is virtually impossible. Call the number listed, get told nobody is available to schedule an appointment and they take my number. Get a call back, and get told that I need an appointment at a different facility than the one calling me back. THIS is why I haven't gotten treatment in 2 years. It shouldn't be this difficult to get ONE appointment.
Experiencia negativa: Nearly impossible to get an appointment. Dr Stovall , Rod Alexis and PA Prejean are great . Maybe President Trump will drain the rest of that swamp.
Experiencia negativa: We have requested numerous times the reason for a CT Scan in Houston without receiving an explanation from anyone. We're told to make an appointment with the doctors nurse. No one seems to be able to answer this question even after 2 followup appointments in Beaumont. This is unacceptable.
Experiencia positiva: Getting an appointment is not an issue. Very please with the service as well. They are doing the best they can. I really wish people would stop complaining about FREE health care.
Experiencia positiva: I've always got what I needed from the VA, and my healthcare needs have always been met. However, the service is usually sub-par, in-terms of the attitude of staff members. I primarily go to the VA-Beaumont Outpatient Clinic, (rarely do I have to go to Houston) and every time I go, everyone from the receptionists up to the therapist are rude and unprofessional. I don't even ask questions anymore because every time I do, the person I'm talking to acts like they get put out or inconvenienced. The guy at the front-desk in Mental Health is a jerk, and is arrogant to boot. My primary Mental Health Therapist is a crusty-old woman with a chip on her shoulder, and is very-antagonistic during each visit. The only positive-feedback I have about the staff at that clinic are the actual nurses and physicians (whom are generally cordial and very-helpful; the pharmacists are generally pretty-nice as well). It's agitating because these people treat veterans, people whom have fought for this country, and they treat us like convicted-felons.
Experiencia positiva: This Facility and staff meets my basic needs. Very Helpful. This is a basic Medical Facility, Counseling, Medical / Physical and review, glasses, hearing aids, Pharmacy, X=rays, Lab. All Major issues have to go to Houston. As long as I keep my appointments, or reschedule as necessary everything works fine.
Experiencia fantástica: I have depended on this facility for a number of years and must say, they have been extremely thorough, considerate and a true blessing for my health and wellbeing. Please keep up the great work.
Experiencia negativa: For all those that think "government healthcare" is a good thing?? We Vets are "dying proof" that it's not. It sucks.
Experiencia negativa: I never get told results of anything and every time I call I have to leave a message and I don't get called back.
Experiencia negativa: This is the worst experience I have ever had with medical treatment. I know this review is pointless because nothing will ever be done about the people that run it. My doctor quit last year and i have yet to be notified of who my new physician is. Every time I call it is a dead end and they have yet to give me any follow up appointments. To me it feels like they do not care about my well being and that hopefully I will just forget that I need medical help so it will be one less person standing in line up there.
Experiencia negativa: Typical VA. Appointment availability can range from a month to four months out. Good thing I'm blessed and I don't have an issue that needs immediate attention. Winey ungrateful workers that don't seem to appreciate the fact that they are employed. Unable to manage appt times and stick to a schedule. It's time we clean house and start with new leadership and employes.
Experiencia negativa: Getting an appointment is a joke, and the service you receive when you finally get an appointment is less than mediocre. We've also been calling for months trying to get in touch with the lady over the housing assistance department, and finally my wife gets ahold to her and she is told she can't help us bc she can't speak with my wife even tho she's listed on my information. I can't call bc I'm a full time student. Now we are back to square one. THIS is why veterans are homeless. Absolutely ridiculous.
Experiencia negativa: Not pleased at all. The only reason I gave it one star is there were not any negative stars to take away from it! I have needed an appointment twice and both times were needed urgently but still they advise the earliest they could "squeeze me in" was 2-3 months from the time I needed the appointment. One was a back issue and the second was a mental health issue. I advised that I needed to see mental health in order to get back on meds because things were not going well and the response I received was, "I'm sorry but the earliest we can squeeze you in is in two months." I was retired from active duty for PTSD and it is a shame to see this especially related to mental health. The civilian population wonder why the suicide rate for veterans is 21 per day....they cant get help when they need it!!! On a lighter note, the staff has always been extremely friendly.
Experiencia negativa: I've been waiting for 2 months to get an MRI so I can go back to pain management and I'm sure it'll be another 2 months before I even hear back from them.
Experiencia negativa: My nephew Dylan Hebert, got out 4 months ago from the marines corps. he has been throwing up blood nightly for approximately 6- 10 months. he has been to the VA twice recently, we feel he is being stonewalled. we are looking for any and all help. as he has served his country, it is now time for his country to serve him.
Experiencia negativa: Wait times are crazy. The last time we brought my 89 year old father for a scheduled appt we waited over 4 hours. I have been calling for over a week now to get an appt to have his hearing aids repaired and not one phone call has been returned. This is a disrespect to everyone especially our veterans!
Experiencia negativa: Not happy with the service that we Vets get here. Those on low income get better care than we do.
