Experiencia negativa: Horrible, they are understaffed so cannot provide proper care. My dad was there for rehab and it was a complete nightmare. He called me one day saying he had been asking for HOURS to be assisted out of his bed to a chair bc he was 6 pm and he had not been out of bed that day. An aide was in the room when I was speaking to him so he put her on the phone, she told me she needed two people to help and that they were way understaffed so she could not help, then I asked if he had the control so he could adjust his bed, she told me yes , then left the room and gave the phone back to my dad. She lied to me! He did not have the remote in his reach, I live out of state so was not able to be around. This is just one story of many while he was there. Please do not send family here. So awful, also they changed his meds without consulting me, while I am his health care proxy and he lost 30 pounds in a month being there! I could go on and on but the point is this place should be shut down, has a terrible reputation in the community for a reason .

Experiencia negativa: First of all, I thank all the hands on caregivers who are underpaid and underappreciated. My 88-year-old soft-spoken aunt was a patient in Fahey in February 2024. She asked an aide to help her get to the commode. The response was, "I am not your slave." I do not know the person's name. Certainly she should not be a caregiver. If I did, I would ask that she be fired. We have an aging nation with a shortage of caregivers. We need to reprioritize. Athletes make buckets of money; caregivers make $20.00 an hour. People, this could be your loved one depending on someone to take them to the commode or you yourself.
