Experiencia fantástica: I was very scared because my mom had a heart attack at 45 and died and I was having severe chest pain. I'm 55.b they were very reassuring from triage all the way down to discharge and the doctor the X-ray technician. I think his name might have been Dalton or Dylan. He was great too. She the PA Lori she went you know through everything so that I could go home and get a good night's rest and not worry that something else was going to happen. She did it in a caring way. Not like there's nothing wrong with we in believe you type of way. She did it as in she cares and if anything else comes up and I need to be seen again please come back

Experiencia negativa: I wish I could put 1/2 star because it's not worth a whole star. I've got lots to report like my urine that they needed for my cardiac episode, and we told them that it was there several times, not to mention the nurse is the one that took me to the bathroom and had it in her hand. She set it down on my bedside table and it was still in the same spot when I was discharged, so it was there for 5 hours. The rest are to do with my health, so I've got to talk to a lawyer first.

Came Wednesday for a bad facial flare up got prescribed medicines came back on Saturday night for arm numbness and nerve issues in arms and feet on top of flare up and a "nurse practitioner" was the only one who they had to see me because of how under staffed they are. She was not caring and told me nothing was wrong with me and didn't know why the doctor on Wednesday and prescribed me the medicine she did because she wouldn't even have took that. After telling me nothing is wrong with me because she doesn't see any redness on arm after explaining to her its my nerves, my arm is numbing,and my circulation, she told me she could give me more meds to take and that walgreens is open. After explaining I wanted to see someone else instead of her she opened the door and just walked out. Sat and waited for another hour with no one knowing when someone else would come, I left. Came here because was thinking this was the better of my option but NEVER AGAIN. Hospital is also so dirty and smells like urine.

Proof not just from imaging, but because I kept traveling to go where I knew my treatment would be excellent. It was Christmas Eve and a kind employee brought me cookies and drinks. Where else would you get FAST, FRIENDLY, PROFESSIONAL medical care in an ER ON Christmas Eve evening. AND COOKies. Christus SETexas St. ELIZABETH They also do the DatScan at the Pavillion! ♥

From the moment I arrived, I felt listened to and taken seriously — something that sadly isn’t always the case. The staff was extremely compassionate, patient, and attentive, and they truly made me feel like my comfort and well-being mattered. They didn’t rush me, they asked questions, and they actually heard what I was saying. Most importantly, they helped. I was sent home with exactly what I needed to feel better, sleep more comfortably, and make it through until my specialist appointment. That alone made a huge difference for me. This was a night-and-day difference compared to other hospital experiences I’ve had. I’m incredibly grateful for the kindness, professionalism, and genuine care shown by everyone involved. Thank you for treating me like a person and not just a chart.

Experiencia fantástica: My husband was admitted to Christus due to a minor stroke. From the moment we arrived at the Mid-County emergency room to the time of discharge, he was treated with the appropriate urgency and was shown kindness in every interaction.

Experiencia negativa: I came here pregnant from a different state just be treated awful I asked my nurse to politely give me a blanket so I could cover my iv up and and said I can just put a bag over your head didn’t laugh or non as a joke. I was in there for 3/4 hours was only seen by a ob one time. I treated poorly in my opinion as it was finally time to leave the nurse ripped the iv out of my arm. I don’t recommend this place for anyone who is pregnant or feel like that can’t be treated right.

Experiencia positiva: It's oct 2, 2025. Im currently here as a patient and if I didnt feel as bad as I do i would have left ama.....again. im in icu and the doctors and NP are WONDERFUL. It's just a few nurses that if a doctor puts a medicine medication in the nurses have the judgment to give it to you or not. Had one nurse tell me my xanax wasn't available at the time but its due every 8 hrs. 15 minutes later I asked a new nurse could she look at when I can take that xanax and she told me it was due an hour ago. So that first nurse didnt want to go pull that medicine either because my skin color or it was because it was 30 min before shift change. I talked to the doctor and he told me if I wanted it then call for it. And let him know if im not getting the meds. Let me be clear also. I do get the medicine but let's say the meds are due a 10am and I call at 130 or 1130am. They medicine wont get to me until around 1pm. And they cant say they have other patients. Because first they work icu which means they have no more than 3 patients. Second of all yalls desk is put right in front of my room so when I ask the operator for meds and then they page the nurse at the desk in front of me and they still just sit there and talk about bar trips and vacation YEAH doc move me out icu because really there are ppl who are more sicker than I am here and need more attention. Other than that the icu doctors and NPs are great. The nurse JD Jesus is awesome, Steve the nurse in ICU is awesome. Michelle in the icu step down unit is wonderful even the PCA'S ON THE ICU AND ICU STEP DOWN FLOOR MS santasia and jae were cool as hell. I hadn't took a bath or shower in a week and a half before I met them and they made no deal about it. The IR team who placed both my dialysis catheter were awesome and the surgical unit who took my PD Catheter out were outstanding. But those few bad apples can lower a business rating. Hopefully i can be out by Sunday to start my outside dialysis on monday.

Experiencia negativa: Brought my friend in to ER in excruciating pain... Was put in a room fairly quick, but an hour and a half later still no nurse or doc had come in.. I would think a nurse would atleast would have stepped foot into the room to say or do something. They didn't check in with us, I had to ask when we might be seen. They spent their time chatting and eating the whole time and using profanity... Doctor walked by to give results to someone else, and when they asked if he was coming in our room he said no he had to go discharge someone. You would think someone in pain would have been attended to before discharging a patient..... Almost 2 hours and still not one employee has come in.

Experiencia positiva: Most of the nurses and aides were amazing. I was on the 4th floor, not sure which department. I have alot issues but I believe something to do with surgery. The only complaint i have is with dietary. A new Californian company that one has no idea how to cook fir a type 1 diabetic and everything else about them was awful as well.

Experiencia negativa: The doctors were wonderful all of the cleaning staff food stamp was excellent the nursing from that floor on a fifth floor were terrible constantly making me beg for my own medications telling me that they're behind that they're short-staffed telling me I would have to wait I have to an hour and a half late at some points just to get my medicine the only time a nurse took care of me decently was when one came from another floor or when one was working there from out of town if I ever had to come back to this Hospital I'd beg not to go to the fifth floor

Experiencia negativa: We have been here since 4:00AM this morning. My sister pregnant and in pain for weeks... So when we was finally seen, it was by a physician name is Kelly Richardson, I believe is her name, works in Emergency center and she literally looks at my sister and tell her that she's not in pain, Kelly is very rude and have no respect....Like what? Like my sister is a very strong person and she don't really like to scream or cry like that when in pain. But you can tell by her face that shes is pain....She's been in pain for WEEKS like girl we wouldn't be here if she wasn't in pain...so we go get her ultrasound to make sure her baby is ok. And so we finish the ultrasound and the lady comes to roll her back..until the lady roll us somewhere else. But not back into to the room we was put in the hallway...THE HALLWAYs....and so we startrd was talking with the people there in the hallway and they say the didn't even get a room.... it's 9:30 now and I was getting really piss... so I go and look for the "nurse" and I was looking around at the room we was at and when I was passing all those clean rooms they was empty? So why are we outside in the lobby then? I'm not understanding. All these people that been waiting for hours needed room! And your just throwing them in the lobby. What the point of having Clear room when your just throwing sick people in the lobby it's just sick....really sick. And the nurse are just horrible like we ask for pillow and a blanket or just water for my sister and they said they be right back and never came back... it's now 10: somthing am and she finish her IV in the lobby and now they want to discharge her as she still in pain which is very sad ......I expect better from Saint Elizabeth because there usually better but today was ridiculous. Worse experience I ever had....

Experiencia negativa: Went to the ER for an actual emergency and was treated so poorly. I am Disgusted with the nurses who have nothing but attitudes and distain. Doc came in without reading my chart treated me like I was A pain pill seeker when I am Not. Did no blood work for my issue or tests. He has no compassion or empathy whatsoever. I get They get a lot of rift raft but no one should be treated in that manner. All there mission statements talk about being compassionate to your patient and respectful. Think they missed the mark on that one. I will Never go back to this hospital it has gone to shit. Beaumonts hospitals are the absolute worst.

Experiencia negativa: I came to the emergency department in significant pain and was left feeling overlooked and frustrated. One of the nurses, Felicity, was openly ordering Starbucks with coworkers and then sat down in the emergency room to drink her coffee while I was still waiting for care. This behavior felt extremely unprofessional, especially given the urgency of the environment. While I understand staff need breaks, it was disheartening to see this happening so casually right in front of patients who were clearly in distress. I hope this is addressed so future patients don’t feel ignored during vulnerable moments.

Experiencia negativa: Triage nurses rude and dismissive, 9pm on a Tuesday night. Told me I could leave my son’s urine sample in the public bathroom. No drawer or cabinet for it, just leave it out in the open in the community loo. I decided to bring it out and was instructed to hold on to it while I sat with all the other emergency room patients until she felt like coming to collect it. She looks tired, but so I want to give her some grace, but that CANNOT be protocol. Any stranger could obtain or tamper with it. Hope we never have to come back here again and feel sorry for the clients that do.

Experiencia fantástica: Had an exceptional experience as I delivered my first baby at St E. I went into OB ED on the third floor and was seen and admitted immediately. Having an OB ED and being able to bypass the emergency department completely as a pregnant patient is fantastic. OB Dr Totorica seen me immediately and was very professionally and explained everything well. Dr Smith performed my c section and was also fantastic, very kind and caring, took great care of me my whole hospital stay. All the nurses from beginning to end were exceptional and very caring!

Experiencia negativa: DON'T GO TO THIS HOSPITAL The worst hospital for mental or physical health they didn't do nothing when I needed both mental and physical and they still discharged me with no help at all

Experiencia fantástica: December 2017 i went septis from scratch on leg. Dr. Reed LDRMC stabluzed me n transport to St. Elz. In beaumont woke four days later in bed wife said weveas going in 5th day. I was out. Treatment, and the greatest medical care i ever received i got. Every one nuce but fictors n staff were professional and resdy to answer or help. Was told i would not lived to mive to UCU so i was left in a truma room until sble to move yo floor. They made a nice fold our fer wife with clean linens daily n doible food trays. Fer me, thats my go to place uf ever needed again. Cant really say about food as i was do suck it all made me suck but wife liked it ok.

Experiencia negativa: My recent visit started with an incident in recovery by another patient, an inability to get the dietary staff to understand my reluctance to consume their turkey sausage or bacon without seeing labels as I have severe MSG reaction which I did not need on top of extensive back surgery. I got labeled on my records as uncooperative and hostile. I was told by the Dr that came in Saturday they had included their opinions. The PT individual who came in Saturday sat and talked with me . She said that I didn't appear uncooperative which had been noted on my chart. Friday was not even 24 hrs after surgery as they did not finish till late Thursday evening. I did not like being labeled by some staff members who would not take time to listen to my concerns about the foods I was being served. I did not expect "hotel" type service but not listening to me about my allergy concerns was frustrating. I am home, where I know what I can eat. Prior to surgery, I prepared meals I froze, bought my Owen's Naturals Sausage w/o MSG, cooked it, frozen so all I had to was heat it for my breakfast- I read labels prior to purchasing food items, I have limited places for a night out.

Experiencia fantástica: This is BY FAR the best hospital for labor and delivery. This was my 3rd pregnancy, my last 2 deliveries have been at Saint E. Both times, from the time we checked in until the minute we left every staff member was amazing. I can’t say enough great things or express my gratitude for how helpful everyone was. In labor and delivery Brailey and Tatum and Mrs. Sandra, Phoebe, and Sarah in the mom and baby unit (after delivery) were angels! And everyone that I encountered and helped us in between! Thank you Saint E for providing the best staff and the best care! Y’all are special and employee nothing but the best!

Experiencia negativa: Update....went in for 2 more failed hip replacements. I was without water for 8 hours and asked several different staff, finally got water because it was time for pills and I needed it to swallow them. Apparently there was a discrepancy between what the dr ordered and what nurses were reading on the computer. I was in so much pain, screaming and chewing on my blanket. Told it was my fault because I didnt call the nurse. I was sleeping! 1st surgery the Overall, the experience having surgery here was great.2nd and 3rd was not good. Very friendly and caring staff. I didn't have to wait too long for any requests or meds. The food was very good and on time. If there was a short delay, they let me know what was happening. The only very disturbing part was they helped Baptist with overflow of psych patients that night, and one patient was screaming uncontrollably. I can hear her now. It was very sad and so disturbing. I thought someone was being murdered. Because of this, I think I will go to a different hospital for my next surgery. But thank you for your kind care.

Experiencia negativa: During a recent visit to Christus Southeast Hospital in Beaumont following a car accident involving my father, my 13-year-old sister, and my 11-year-old brother—who is currently diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia—we experienced a deeply troubling and discriminatory interaction. When we requested a physical copy of my minor siblings’ medical records, a staff member at the nurses’ station responded, “Only one parent was present and he doesn’t speak a lick of English, so you get what you get.” This statement was not only false but highly inappropriate. Both of the children are U.S.-born citizens who speak English fluently as their first and primary language. Our father also speaks English in full, clear sentences—he simply has an accent. The dismissive remark was a blatant expression of bias and reflects a discriminatory attitude based on perceived national origin and language ability. Further compounding our concern, no internal tests were conducted on my 11-year-old brother despite his leukemia diagnosis, which makes him especially vulnerable to internal injuries and bruising. Denying or limiting access to medical records based on a parent’s accent or perceived language barrier may violate Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act, which prohibit discrimination in healthcare settings receiving federal funding. Texas Health & Safety Code § 311.022 also bars arbitrary or unreasonable discrimination in hospital services. Christus Southeast Hospital has a legal and ethical duty to provide equitable care and respectful communication to all patients and families—regardless of language, race, or background. This incident was not only hurtful but raised serious concerns about the quality of care and civil rights compliance at this facility.

Experiencia negativa: what a shame... you have to give a star to get revue--this place is a joke, make sure when you go home the surgeon has closed the area of surgery like in my instance the gallbladder , that way if you have a leak of bile in your abdomen you wont be septic- plus i had to stop the nurse from double dosing me with dilaudid and liquid valium, within 50 mis she cant read----

Experiencia negativa: I am not pleased with this Hospital, my mom had to get a CT-myelogram here because our local hospital Christus memorial Jasper Hospital couldnt do it. She went and got her procedure done but when we looked at the images on the laptop they did not follow or read the image order from her Sugeron, he put down a CT-myelogram cervical spine which is the neck area, No they didnt do the cervical spine, They did the lumber spine! She has to see her sugeron soon and I dont know whats going to happen when he finds out about this or if her insurance will accept another CT Myelogram. I will not recommend this place for CT scans appt.

Experiencia negativa: Great staff, but the bill does not match what i went in for. I was told to go to the er with an infected toenail, so i came here. They sat me down in a room, looked at my toe, and said i would have to go to a foot doctor then released me. Maybe 5 to 10 mins. I get a bill in the mail thinking, "Oh yeah, it might not be bad"....... Almost 800 dollars with insurance. I won't be going back here. If i have an emergency, I'll just either suck it up or go elsewhere. Our hospitals in this area are a pure joke. I'd rather die than to go into extreme debt.

I’ve had to have the same surgery one month apart and I’ve tried to tell them what’s going on before it had to lead to another surgery that’s involveds cutting me open in the same place again but my concerns ever ignore I didn’t have after care witch lead to more infection and when I voice my opinion that I did not feel safe going home 2 days after the surgery I was threaten with the police being call on me! As a patient! In highly upset with the doctors and the management the nurse were so amazing! I’m very disappointed on how I was treated here

Experiencia negativa: My 89 year old dad arrived by ambulance to the hospital at around 6 pm and he was not seen by a physician until 2 am in the morning. He had breathing issues, elevated BP, and a stiff swollen left leg and the paramedics could not find a pulse in his leg. So, they advised us that he should go to the hospital bc of a possible blood clot. He had 2 stints and an aorta repaired around 2 months ago at a Houston Hospital. The reason he had the procedure done in Houston bc Christus St Elizabeth wouldn’t do the surgery. Anyway, sometimes blood clots may form. The nurses was very attentive, I asked to speak to an administrator regarding the wait and the charge nurse stated that his case was NOT consider an emergency, and they only had 2 emergency doctors and one NP and the wait would be approx 4 hours. When I met with her it was 11 pm and she stated it would approx be 30 minutes to an hour and he is 3rd in line. Well, it wasn’t until 2 am before the doctor came to see him. He said he was fine, no blood clot and they discharge him. He didn’t address any of his meds or his blood work. He just said it was no blood clots. The treatment of the emergency physician was totally unacceptable. I understand you have a lot of patients, but You could at least acknowledge the patient sooner than 8 hours later. I’m so disappointed in my dads treatment, it seem like he may be treated different bc of his age. Let me add, their were a lot of the nurses staff and assistants roaming around with nothing to do. It could not have been that many patients.

As I was being wheeled out of my room another lady down the hall smacked her nurse in the face. I’m hoping something was done about that. The nurses and staff here deserve to protected and respected. Thank you for going above and beyond for your patients even though some of them are insanely disrespectful.

Experiencia negativa: The hospital provided care for my brother but the case management was the worse and the most unprofessional people. I was working on getting my brother into a facility to assist him as he was unable to take care of himself. The case workers refused to fax medical records and then phoned me living 4 hours away they were releasing my brother. They would not wait for me to drive the next morning and would have him taken to his home to stay alone. I was furious and this showed lack of compassion. The case worker is not an advocate for the patient and actually inhumane. This was a disgrace for the country I live in and to know our hospital system is failing our people. No human being should be treated like they have treated my brother and the stress for me trying to make arrangements for my brother as I work full time and unable to care for him at my home. I welcome the hospital administration to contact me and look into this as I would not expect the Catholic board to be pleased with this lack of care.

Experiencia negativa: My OB sent me to the L&D floor for contractions that were a couple minutes apart. The nurses there were so so sweet and gentle but the doctor that I had was awful. Dr Edmondson definitely needs to learn bed side manner, he was very rude and made me feel like an inconvenience. My OB told me they can figure out what’s going on with my contractions and could give me an IV for some medicine and hydration for an issue I’ve been having but when I told Dr. Edmondson that he told me “that’s not my job, your doctors office needs to take care of that”. Experiencia negativa: Honestly the worse hospital I’ve been to. My dad was in this hospital for a week and he was treated poorly. They wouldn’t even clean the room just take out the trash. The day he had surgery he was in pain for over an hour, I called them and they would completely ignore me, I had to go to the front desk to get someone and still took their time. Before they released him the doctor who did surgery didn’t even check on him or the wound. He left with the same bandage that was put a week from surgery!!!!

Experiencia negativa: THIS WAS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE my brother got into a motorcycle wreck had head trauma and severe road wash and was badly beat up from the wreck and is in a lot of pain and they were just rude and wouldn’t even give him anything for the incredible amount of pain he was in I will never be coming back there for help for me or my family.

Experiencia negativa: Their staff is nothing but negligent on every level in march of 2024 my 78 year old grandmother was sent to the hospital for a severe case of diverticulosis and they gave her some antibiotics but it turned out she still needed a bowel resection the doctors could not get their things in order so she ended up having to go to the er to get her surgery but by that time it had gotten so bad that she needed a needed a colostomy which made her quality of life significantly decrease then 4 days after a major abdominal surgery they sent her home with medication she had never had before mind you she has a giant list of medications she is allergic to but we go home she takes the medication and has a severe allergic reaction to it ambulance is called immediately and they end up having to do CPR on her for 20 minutes… it only takes 7 minutes for you to have brain damage they put her in the icu but it was so late her brain was not longer functioning as it and she passed away if I could go back I would stay as far away from this hospital as possible and if I was you I would never come to this hospital ever for the safety of you and your family

Experiencia negativa: My daughter and I were there on July 9th with my 1 and half year old granddaughter who needed to be seen for vomiting, diarrhea and dehydration… we were there from 5 p.m. till we finally left around 9 p.m. and in between those times we were never seen by a doctor the front desk in the ER was rude to my daughter when nurse was asked how many people was in front of us. We talked with another mother that was there with her five month old son, who had 102 fever, and she was there for longer than that She asked some question nurse told her we don’t prioritize children we go by who more sick than the other. She had no compassion she does not know how to talk to people that we can wait even if it takes 10 hours to see the doctor we can sit there and wait Cause I’ve been busy but yet they bring back people after we come in and were still waiting in the hallways in the back waiting for a room The ER gets one star us and plenty of other people were not very happy with the way the nurse was talking to us and other people and handled the situation very rude and inconsiderate.

Experiencia negativa: This hospital has a long-standing history of murdering my family members. This morning they lost my brother who has a head injury, confused he walked right out of the hospital and no one stopped him. They never know what's going on. They have to call and ask a doctor for everything. You can't throw a rock let alone spit in the Southeast Texas area without hitting someone who has been personally harmed, or has a relative that has been either neglected, or outright misdiagnosed. Is still allowed to perpetuate the crimes and atrocities that they are committing upon the good people of Southeast Texas. Please for the love of God someone with pull have the same investigate this place.

Experiencia fantástica: My visits are usually very expeditiously done. The staff is always considerate, caring and very patient, ( no pun intended). My treating doctor was amazing. But there was another Dr. who cussed so loud and vulgar, but no one said or did anything. That was "one" of the most unprofessional experience, I hope I won't ever have to experience it again. I reported it to the night manager and she said she would come down to my room, but, she never showed. I finally got to speak to a lady by the name of Brandy and she said she'd take care of it. I know they can't say if or how that person was reprimanded, but I won't hold my breath on whether or not anything was corrected.

Experiencia fantástica: Most amazing hospital I have been to when it comes to pregnancies. The nurses treat you like family and help take care of your baby like it's their own. So much love and calmness in this hospital. I've been on the 2nd and 3rd floors during pregnancy and was treated so well. Unfortunately for my last baby I won't be able to deliver here, I have to be transferred out due to high risk issues. But I just have to say I love these people here and the 1or 2 people that weren't so great did not spoil the bunch for me. I have not had any other reasons to be in a hospital bed but to have kids and knowing this will be my last delivery, I am super sad it can't be here with these amazing people. I will forever be grateful for the love I've received here and hate that I am saying goodbye for the last time. I pray the people I'm going to have the same kind hearts as this hospital. I could just go on and on about the staff here. AMAZING!

Experiencia negativa: I had the worst experience of my entire life. I’ve never been treated so poorly. I was brought in the ER by ambulance April 7 around 11:30 pm in severe excruciating pain. I had my gallbladder removed the following 2nd of April as I tried to explain to the nurse. She was rude and very nonchalant. She refused to call my surgeon. Stated I would have to see the ER doctor and he would make the decision to call or not my surgeon. After several hours of me squirming in my bed and crying in pain she finally offered morphine which made the pain worse. She proceeded to inform my that I was not as sick as other patients. I told her that I could understand that but the pain was real none the less. I suffered all night until the day shift came on duty and the day nurse knew what to give me. By then I had called my surgeon myself. And thank God I was given a room upstairs. I believe that night nurse name was Kay or Cat she should not be a nurse. You should never tell a patient their illness is not important I was in the hospital for11 days. My bile duct was leaking bile into my abdomen that is an emergency condition. Life and death situation. Thank God for the nurses and Drs on the 4 th floor that worked tirelessly to save my life. Them I give 5⭐️’s

Experiencia negativa: The nurses were very sweet I would give them 5 stars the ER doctor that was there on wed. night (03-20-24) needs to go back to college my dad was coughing up blood he says "that's not blood". Left him there all night next day sent my dad to the 4th flloor no IV nothing until Friday afternoon. My dad was dying the nurse practioner on the 4th floor says "he is doing better". I told her I know my dad there's something not right. that night he went to ICU and past away... those two could have made my dad's last 2 days more comfortable but they think they know it all and they don't. Doctors listen to your patients and their families and treat them like you would want others to treat your parents... My dad's agony in his last two days of life breaks my heart. ICU nurse practitioner and nurses Thank you for your compassion. P.s. the letter you send you said he had IV on March 22, NO I had to beg for my dad to get the IV since 10:30 until around 12:30 they ordered I WAS THERE. AGAIN YOU NEVER ANSWERED MY QUESTION WHY DIDN'T THEY LISTEN TO MY MOM OR ME WHEN WE KEPT TELLING THEM HE IS NOT DOING WELL I KNOW MY DAD AND THAT LADY said yes he is better and a few hours later they had to do CPR and THEN THEY RUSHED HIM TO ICU WHERE HE DIED ABOUT 5 HOURS LATER... You never answered my question because the answer is NEGLIGENCE NEGLIGENCE NEGLIGENCE

Experiencia negativa: Nurses were extremely rude whenever I first entered the ER. I tried staying with my dad but they told me I couldn’t be in the room with him. So I called to get updates on him and they just kept being rude to me over the phone and wouldn’t give me any information about him.

Experiencia positiva: There's a lot that goes into this review, but the short and sweet is: ER 1-star, Hospital 5-star. I'll explain. I went to the ER on Saturday, May 18th, 2024, at 6pm, due to a massive abscess that had formed within a day. I wasn't admitted into the hospital until 4:30am on Sunday. At this point, my abscess has become severe, swollen, I had a fever and my white blood cell count was extremely high, indicating an infection. I learned all this after being moved to the hospital, not in the ER. While in the ER for over 10 hours, I sat in excruciating pain, with no remedy but to wait. I wasn't given morphine until 4am, right before I was finally placed on a bed to be moved to the hospital. The ER was terrible, unorganized, no management, the personnel were doing whatever they wanted. For example, a man walked in with a stab wound to the chest with blood all over his shirt and a towel, and there was no one there to greet or help him. The receptionist that was supposed to be checking people in had left with the security guard to go get Little Caesars. Basically, if you didn't come into the ER on an ambulance, you didn't matter. Anyways, after this nightmare of a night, I made it to the hospital, where it was a night and day difference in the work ethic, tone and style of work being conducted. I was immediately put on antibiotics and prepped for surgery. I woke up from surgery feeling 100% like myself. The pain was gone, my fever was gone. My next 3 days in the hospital were fantastic. The nurses were kind, the food was good, and I was well taken care of until I was released. I do not recommend coming into the ER unless you are on an ambulance, but I 100% recommend the hospital once you make it there.

Experiencia positiva: They weren’t prepared for anyone to have an emergency c section so I’m not going to fault them for that because it was absolutely out of no where. I needed an emergency c section I guess right in the middle of shift change so there was a lot of confusion between staff but they got it done had a scary but still great experience. The recovery nurses were great very kind and kept check on me. However a low score is given because the NICU nurses need attitude adjustments and retraining on given an iv on a newborn infant. My newborn should not have been part of what seemed to be a training exercise with fresh out of college students I understand practices makes perfect but after the 7th blown vein and my husband asking them to take a break shouldn’t have happened the first time I held my child he had bandages everywhere including his head due to all the unnecessary pokes he endured. Yes the hospital was under construction during my stay but they only worked during awake hours not through the night so I can’t complain there. Stay was great everywhere but NOT in the NICU

Experiencia negativa: Absolutely abysmal hospital in terms of patient care. My husband went in at 7pm 5\28 to the er. He had chest pain and arm numbness. They did an ekg, blood work, and an x-ray. After that, they left him waiting, and he's still waiting now at almost 8 am. the next day, 5\29. He's exhausted and ready to storm out at this point. Do yourself a favor and go to a different hospital. Try Baptist or anywhere else.

Experiencia fantástica: Tuesday, May 7th, I was scheduled to go in for a normal vaginal induction. Something I was familar and comfortable with as well as something I'd done before without any real issue. In all honesty, there were complications to my induction from the very beginning, baby's heart rate dropping during contractions and etc., but I chose to ignore in the face of being as optimistic (delusional) as possible that everything would fix itself and go to plan. My L&D Nurse Tracy however, chose to follow her instinct from the very beginning while still giving me room as a mother to feel hopeful. At 4 centimeters dialated though, everything went irreversibly wrong to a point she was forced to put her foot down and fully jump into action. My bed filled up with blood in seconds due to placenta abruption, and I was rushed into an emergency c section. I cant explain to you the relief I felt, even as I was yelling and crying no, to see that Dr. Sean Wengroff would be performing it. He held my hand as they rushed me into surgery and then, he proceeded to save me and my baby girls life in less than 20 minutes. He wasn't even my doctor, but he rushed from his house to save me and my girl. Even the condition of my incision/scar is proof of the care that man gave to me in that moment. I woke up scared and confused, but thank god that I didnt wake up alone. Tracy was right there to hold my hand and reassure me, she made sure I had a familiar face that has been there through EVERYTHING that day with me even surgery. She helped my brother reassure me through my confusion that my baby was my baby and that I was okay. That I would be okay. And both Dr. Wengroff and Tracy checked on me in recovery and we're beyond happy to see me and my baby recovering well. They showed us both genuine kindness and love and patience. They treated us like family, not just patients, and were gentle with us even in such a chaotic scary moment. They never hesitated to remember me and my baby were human beings deserving of respect and soft gentle care before anything else. My labor was traumatizing and scary but I am beyond grateful for the people that were there for me that day. It's truly because of them that I can confidently and happily hold my beautiful baby in my arms and be here to go home to my other three beautiful children today. ❤️ Thank you Tracy Broussard Soileau and Dr. Sean Wengroff for saving me and my baby's lives and handling our lives with such an immeasurable amount of genuine kindness, love, patience and care.

Experiencia negativa: This has to have been by far the worst hospital stay I have ever experienced. UNSANITARY CONDITIONS. Incompetent doctors (not all of them). Kitchen staff getting orders wrong and or NOT even delivering your meals. I contacted Patient Advocacy 3 times and am about to make it the 4th time. Retraining and new proceedures need to be put in place!!! Next time I will go to Baptist!!!!!

Experiencia negativa: Just because it's a holiday you should still be able to see your Doctor, be cool and have decent food. ICU room is HOT and know one is here to fix it because it's a HOLIDAY!! DOCTOR'S not HERE to release you because it's a HOLIDAY... THIS PLACE SUCKS!! Give a patient who just had a HEART ATTACK a HAMBURGER, RANCH DRESSING and a COKE!! REALLY!! Now I know why you go to HOUSTON to stay at a real HOSPITAL!!

Experiencia negativa: My husband was brought to the ER by ambulance after a fall. It looked like something out of rerun of MASH! People were all cramped into the hallway! Staff allowed him to just lay there for about eight hours before he was given anything for pain, or even seen by a doctor! He had to just lay there and suffer for hours! He did not see the doctor until he was being released! I spoke to the house supervisor who was unconcerned and clueless! He didn't even pretend that he cared! This is a horrible place!
