Experiencia fantástica: I have found sports physical therapy extremely beneficial for both my disc herniation and during pregnancy. I’ve been attending sports PT for over three years for various conditions, and the sessions with Dr. RJ Salasky and Dr. Marina Pavlenko have been really helpful.

What I like the most is that David collected my concerns, observing my exercise and pinpointing the issues to get the PT session and home exercises adjusted to the most efficient option. My recovery at SPT was guided by Marina, and Inessa's expertise with insurance and payment processing was critical as my Medicare Advantage insurance coverage changed in early 2025! Inessa was tireless and successful in her pursuit of alternatives available to minimize out of pocket (patient) expenses!

Experiencia fantástica: If you only read one review, let this be it! When I first started going to Sports Physical Therapy a year ago, I had little hope for healing my back pain. I was diagnosed with degenerative disk disease in my early 30s and began suffering intense flare-ups of excruciating back pain every nine months or so. As the pain progressed, I sought help from my doctors, who prescribed NSAIDs and muscle relaxers, but the pain persisted. Soon, the pain started affecting my work as a cosmetic tattoo artist and compromised my ability to live a normal life as a mom and professional. After a particularly hard week of pain, I ended up back at my doctor’s office for a referral to physical therapy and found Sports PT through a family member. At first, the therapy didn't seem to make much difference, but one day I started to get stronger and felt less and less pain. A breakthrough happened, and now I have made so much progress that I can work full days, sit for longer than 20 minutes at a time, and move freely! I have so much gratitude in my heart for Mikell and his team for all they have done for me. If you feel hopeless about your injury or pain, please don’t give up—go see the amazing people at Sports!

Experiencia fantástica: Great place, amazing people, awesome atmosphere. Yannis, Andrew and Megan helped me recover from a raptured Achilles tendon. Had a ton of fun each time I came in for a pt session. Everyone is extremely friendly and likeable. Yannis is super knowledgeable and explains to you in detail what is going on with your body, how the muscles and tendons work, and how to aid with your recovery. And he does a great job with massage therapy. I'm super happy I picked this place for my recovery. It's been a year since my injury, and I feel I'm pretty much back to my pre injury self

From front desk being quick to answer/respond to phone calls, the energy in the office is clean and positive, the PTs and assistants are incredibly knowledgeable, empathetic and know how to make recovery fun even on the hardest days. I highly recommend this place 10/10. I had 53 appointments this year working through a lot of injuries I had ignored and mostly worked with Yannis but would recommend everyone there.

Experiencia negativa: I had several sessions at SPT after going through orthopedic surgery. I had previously gone to a different practitioner where I saw modest improvements. While SPT were great in many ways (I recovered muscle I had lost), my main injury became worse than even before surgery, and some of the damage might have been permanent. I would recommend them for general fitness programs or for recovering from simple and common injuries. For anything that requires a doctors attention, I’d avoid them.

Experiencia fantástica: I hurt my shoulder 5 years ago. I thought I would be dealing with this as a chronic problem. The team helped get me back my range of motion and strength all the while having fun. Each session was a little different and effective, obviously great care had gone into my recovery plan without me even knowing. Experiencia fantástica: I highly recommend Yannis!!! This facility is amazing. I found they care about you getting back to what you love and do in life- cleaning walls, running, lifting weights, dancing, opening a bottle, washing your back. It seems like a silly thing until life is disrupted!! My husband works downtown and we had commented that it seemed like a place where only elite athletes go and so we would feel out of place. I decided to try because I had an injury I could not resolve and wanted to get a seriously good solution. It was so good I referred my husband, and ended up treating a toe that has been scheduled for surgery…which I could solve instead with muscle strength!!! I’m seriously so happy with this office!! The staff is professional, happy, helpful, fun and compassionate. I came in for a dislocated shoulder- and was thrilled with the progress, understanding and care I received. I had tried a chiropractor and yoga but found I was still struggling to do basic things. I had a toe that had calcification along the ridge from sports trauma and I was experiencing a LOT of pain walking and running had become impossible. I had sent two orthopedic specialists- one said to have surgery removing the knuckle, one gave me orthotics and take pain meds every time I run, only here did I find true pain relief getting back into running.

Giannis was extremely prescriptive I what needed and coached through the entire process. They had me back living my life as soon as possible. Highly recommend for physical therapy needs!

Experiencia fantástica: Very good staff, I had a meniscus tear in October, had to get surgery and it was very difficult to even stand until I started going to PT. Now, a month and half later after I’ve started going to pt, I can walk, do lunges, and squats. I’m very confident that soon I can get back on the field with their awesome treatment.

They staff is great and friendly and genuinely takes an interest in getting to know you and working with you to make sure you heal as soon and as safely as possible. I normally don’t write reviews but places like this are few and far between. Over the weeks I developed friendships with the staff and would laugh and joke around during my PT sessions which made the time fly by. If I ever get injured again I’ll definitely return and let all my friends know about this amazing place.

I came here with chronic back pain, caused by a cliff diving accident that quite literally broke my back (don’t go cliff diving, is my main advice from that). I had been going to physical therapy in California for years, with little improvement. Moving to Washington and needing to change providers is the best thing that’s ever happened to me. Mike & team have helped me regain mobility, strength, and comfort — in fact, I think I’m in better shape than before the accident, which I never could have imagined a few years ago. Can’t recommend this place enough. Professional & empathetic.

The facility is clean, the staff were all incredibly friendly, and the massage was everything I wanted it to be. I feel amazing!

Experiencia fantástica: I went to SPT because both of my knees were in pain after a decade of cheerleading and dancing. I worked with Marina and Mike and they made sure I felt heard, answered all my questions on why I was doing specific exercises, and connected with me on a personal level. I did my assigned exercises at home every day and went to SPT twice a week for a month and felt real results. There was no more pain, so I started seeing them once a week for another month and continued my exercises at home. If I weren’t moving out of WA, I’d continue seeing them for several months!

After working in tech for more than 15 years, my life was impacted by pain from years of bad ergonomics and inactivity. My pain has been reduced significantly, my posture throughout the day is better, and my husband 's intense chronic pain has also been reduced since he started therapy as well. The owner, Mike, is a wizard and will come up with a sports specific exercise regimen to challenge even the most seasoned athlete. The sports masseuse Christina will move your body in ways you haven’t even dreamed of. If you are in need of post surgical rehabilitation, day to day to day mobility, sports specific training, or simply a solid workout- this is your place.

Experiencia fantástica: Whether it’s Mike, RJ or even, and their entire team, this group is not only the highest level of technical proficiency, they LOVE their profession-helping people get better,(ask the pro sports figures from what looks like 1/2 dozen local but different teams . It’s my third stint in the last 7 years(broken leg, shoulder, and recent internal surgery causing muscle atrophy) , and not sure how they do it, but it just gets better . No resting on accolades of past, always the latest methods(you can see evidence of ongoing continuing education) . I am a “fiduciary” at work, and legally I must advise people of what’s in their best interest, I can give an exceptional referral snd recommendation to Mike snd the team at Bellevue SPT.

Experiencia fantástica: Hurt my lower back and tailbone and went to two different physical therapy locations and they did not help at all. It felt like I was going to have to live with this pain. Found SPT and after the 1st month of intense training, the pain started to disappear and my mobility was drastically improving. This place is amazing and if you decide to go here, ask for RJ! He definitely cares and will help you improve quickly! And if possible, try out the Factoria location, you won’t regret it.

There is a standard set of working hard and getting the most out of the time that I am there. At the same time having fun while doing my exercises. The staff is exceptional at what they do and are very friendly. Some of my favorites specialist are Declan, Connor, Matt and Kimmy! They make every visit such a great experience but also push me to give maximum effort! Also the amazing receptionist Maria, always greeting me with a smile when I walk in! I wouldn’t want to go to any other place. I love it here. I personally work with Connor and he is so educated and really has helped me throughout my whole recovery process. I admire and appreciate the whole SPT family as they have helped me in so many ways. I’m forever grateful for them. Everyone that works here is so friendly and really cares about each and everyone of their patients. Not only on a professional level but they truly care about you as a person and want to help you achieve your goals. Shout to the amazing exercise specialist Maria. Seeing her each and every time I come in makes me smile and her enlightened personality lightens up the room. One of the most unique things about this place is their depth of knowledge when it comes to injuries, especially sports related. Additionally, they offer personal training at very affordable prices. For the amount of knowledge these guys have, you will not find anything even close when it comes to training. Any chain gym (LA Fitness, Golds, 24) will charge you more to work with someone who just punches a clock. At SPT Bellevue, they are passionate about their craft and are actively pursuing degrees and further education for improvement. The owners are always on top of the latest trends for diet and exercise as well. For anyone who is a former athlete or maintains an active lifestyle, there is no better place to work out and stay healthy. When it comes to your body, there is nothing they can't help with or recommend. I have seen great results.

Experiencia negativa: To start with, this is the nightmare of my life. I had back pain and started Chiro and massage and I wanted to get better all the way so my chiropractor recommended to start PT. He recommended SPT Bellevue. I went for my first PT appointment and it was a lot of talking and sharing information. In my second appointment, PT ( Connor) was busy with another client and the owner Mike ( PT assistant) made me do exercises. After the appointment, I had a lot of pain and I didn’t think anything of it. I took Ibuprofen and moved on with my week. By the weekend, painkillers weren’t working and I was in constant deep pain. I was so confused because I was doing all the chiro, massage and PT and getting worse with my back pain. On Monday, I had PT appointment and I reached at the office. I was crying the whole 1 hour of my appointment. Again, my PT was not available and his assistant ( Mike) was trying to put cream on the area. Then he asked me to do a few excercise while I was sobbing crying. After the appointment, I drove myself to urgent care and the DR told me that I have a bulging disc. I was non functional for over a month. I was not able to lay down, sit down or do anything without shooting pain in my back. I was not able to go to work, I am self employed and don’t get any paid sick days, I wasn’t able to take care of my kid and my home. I was not able to drive her to school and activities. My husband took a few weeks off from work to take of everything. I changed to a new PT and she felt so sorry for me about how immobile I was. Even my new PT couldn’t ask me to do any exercise except to lay down on my stomach. So I don’t trust anyone in SPT Bellevue . I don’t think they have any capacity to make you get better in your journey from any pain relief. Front desk gave me an appointment with PT even when he was not available. I made my appointment with PT not the assistant and owner of that place ( who isn’t PT). In the end, SPT is to take your money and bill your insurance. It’s been months and I am still paying for the consequences of bad PT.
