I have been going to PT there for a couple months and have been extremely impressed with their services, have shown a significant decrease in pain, and a significant improvement in my ability to function. Ryan is extremely personable, knowledgeable, and professional. He appears highly committed to my recovery and seems genuinely interested in how well I am progressing each week. He also takes the time to explain his methods and has been providing me with a personalized home exercise program. Ryan's skills and personalized approach are topnotch. JJ is a pro in every way and not only did she help me understand the underlying causes of my injury but also why the particular treatment and exercises she was giving me would help it heal. She is kind, smart, caring and oh so knowledgeable about the human body. I have recommended her to several friends and could not have been happier with my experience at ORT. Experiencia fantástica: I had gone to this location previously for a different issue and Ryan had been great. So when I suddenly got Vertigo they were my first call. The front desk (Alyssa) I believe got me in the same day. I met with Chad who performed the Epley Maneuver which gave me instant relief. I went for the next 8 weeks and we worked on strengthening my neck. I really appreciated the time he took to go over exactly how to do this maneuver at home if I got a recurrence in the future. Chad was very knowledgeable and I would highly recommend going to him.

Experiencia fantástica: Great physical therapy! Went to the Tempe location. Cole has helped me a lot. I had pain in my hip and he found the issue in my low back. Within a few weeks I was stronger and pain free which is huge since I had a ton of exercises from past pt sessions from another place and couldn’t get better. I am picky about who I see because I have had a prior cervical fusion (3 years ago) and still have nerve sensitivity from spinal stenosis. Having to work through that has been really difficult. Cole is now helping me get into the gym regularly, lift weights and run for the first time in 3 years! I highly recommend this place for physical therapy. They know what they are doing!

Experiencia fantástica: Cole Hudgens with Orthopedic Sports Therapy is the BEST! I have arthritis and scoliosis in my back causing hip pain. Cole diagnosed my weak hip, put me on a challenging exercise program and I now have periods of pain free walking! HE works with me (not his assistant)for the entire 30 minutes. When considering a plan, Cole looks at my benefits as well as my physical needs. Having Cole on my recovery team, gives me hope for an active lifestyle even though I have scoliosis. I highly recommend Cole!

Experiencia fantástica: My doctor prescribed physical therapy for an issue I had with knee pain. I went to Orthopedic Sports Therapy just because it was near me, and I had the good fortune of drawing Ryan Denny as my Physical therapist. I was concerned because I am an older patient (70 years) and wanted to be able to continue running but I was thinking that this just might be an old age problem that I would have to learn to live with. Ryan treated me for a few weeks and I now have no knee pain. I highly recommend Ryan and Orthopedic Sports Therapy.

Experiencia fantástica: Starts with the front office staff, Shawna, Alyssa, and Amy. They are fantastic and the absolute best at what they do. Over the 10 years I've been to OST for various PT reasons, I have always left in much better condition after completing a course of therapy than when I started. I like how each session is with the therapist and a course of action is implemented and tweaked as needed. When sessions are completed they've always provided a routine to follow at home to (hopefully) prevent reoccurrance. Cole has worked on my back with much success. My last visits I've seen JJ. She has worked on my back, plantar fasciitis and neck with excellent results. Ask her about the cupping and dry needling they both worked great on me. A relaxing print of an old tyme travel trailer set in tall grass with the caption 'Keep it Simple' used to hang on the wall of the waiting area. That's what they do, 'Keep it Simple.' And I like that.

Experiencia fantástica: Amazing professionalism and exquisite customer service! Went to the Tempe location on rural. Saw Dr. McKenna Brown who was very professional and empathetic. Very clean facility. Only wish they would either not play music or play something calming and non intrusive (like instrumental or spa) where you’re not having to listen to someone bellyaching about their lousy life or loss of love when you’re already in pain. Can’t take away a star for that though I was tempted to. Just an excellent experience and 99% happy!

Ryan Denny was my primary PT at the Ahwatukee location. He was very knowledgeable and patient with my hip and lower back pain. He provided new and differnt exercises each visit along with dry needling procedures. I would highly recommend Ryan Denny and Orthopedic Sports Therapy.

Experiencia fantástica: Superb 1-on-1 treatment with quality PA's! I hurt my shoulder snowboarding this winter, and Cole worked with me to get it back in order for my active lifestyle. I am a big rock climber so was worried that I might have to get rotator cuff surgery so I could function well again, but I am feeling great and don't even notice the injury anymore. Cole is very friendly, professional, and goal-oriented in therapy and can get you where you want to be- highly recommend giving treatment a shot here before considering an option like surgery!

Experiencia fantástica: My friend and I have been driving all the way to north Scottsdale to get physical therapy from Barrow Brain and Spine, and concluded they were the best. Little did we expect that Ryan, who graduated from PT school less than a year ago, would beat the therapist from Barrow with a decade of experience. Ryan is openminded, diligent, creative, and has many tricks up his sleeves. He is simply brilliant. I believe If I knew Ryan 20 years ago, my chronic back pain wouldn’t have progressed to todays almost intractable state. But of course, Ryan was only a schoolboy then. We are very fortunate to have discovered Pam’s PT facility in our neighborhood. Everyone in this office is super nice and efficient. Ryan is now the go-to therapist for my family for any sports related injury. Highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: I have lived in Tempe since 1972. Have had the need for physical therapy several times during this period. I first began at TOCA which I thought OK. Just didn't have the one-on-one and personal dedication of a physical therapist. When a friend suggested Orthopedic Sports Therapy, I have only used them since for my physical therapy needs. It is just an awesome place. Located in Tempe (Rural/Alameda) easy to get to and parking is no problem. The office staff is so welcoming and knowledgable about how my insurance works to cover my therapy. If you care to chat with them, they come to know you as a person and not just a client. Now, to the physical therapists! I have had three over the years. All have been extremely knowledgeable about the human anatomy and how to help me. My latest therapist, Ryan, helped to relieve shoulder rotator cuff and bicep tendon pain. It's pretty cool when you can come to a place for therapy, work out, and push yourself to get better, and still laugh and get to know one another along the way. Coming to Orthopedic Sports Authority is like joining a family. I feel cared for, and know that my therapist has my healing as a priority. Experiencia fantástica: I went to OST for quadricep tendonitis pain. I was at a point where bending down in my day to day life caused pain. I was lucky to work with Ryan Denny to create a physical therapy plan that worked. He was kind, patient, and knowledgeable. I needed to stop attending PT early and while I’m not 100%, I am so much better and was provided tools that I can use on my own to continue to improve.

Experiencia fantástica: Orthopedic Sports Therapy in Tempe has been a godsend. I was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis in 2021. Injections, stretching exercises and a splint helped somewhat, but I needed a long-term plan to deal with the pain which was often intense. My podiatrist agreed and referred me for PT. I had previously received treatment at this facility after a knee replacement and was very satisfied. I especially like Orthopedic Sports Therapy because you work directly with a physical therapist – no PT assistants. I have been working with therapist JJ and PT Intern Dusty. They have shown me how to stretch and strengthen muscles and within two weeks the pain in my left heel/foot was decreased. My legs feel stronger and yesterday I was able to walk two miles on the canal bank with no pain. Dusty especially has been very creative with the exercises that he has assigned and works with me to modify them when necessary. By the time I complete PT I feel that I will have the tools to manage the plantar fasciitis. I would highly recommend this facility.

Experiencia fantástica: Not all physical therapy practices are created equal. Orthopedic Sports Therapy is a standout. I was referred to Ryan Denny after having a lackluster experience at a big name physical therapy chain. The difference was night and day. Ryan was thorough, attentive, kind, and professional. I came in for a shoulder injury which Ryan immediately recognized as a neck injury that flared up when I moved my shoulder. He got me started on a program of stretching and strengthening which quickly had me on the path to recovery. When I did my exercises, he and Destini were always on hand to make sure my form was correct and answer any questions. The entire staff is lovely.

Experiencia fantástica: Great experience as a first time client with OST! I came in for osteoarthritis of the knees. Additionally they helped work my back as well. I learned my walking gait was off and I had something called circumduction (my right leg would biw out). They worked with me on specific exercises that have helped my condition. Thanks to Ryan and the office staff being professional and courteous, in addition to sending a thank you greeting card for choosing them as a provider! Highly recommended!

As a personal trainer and professional hiking guide, getting back to 100% was the highest priority for me and I knew they could help me. Experiencia fantástica: I went to Orthopedic Sports Therapy for physical therapy to recover from shoulder surgery. The surgery repaired 3 tears in my rotator cuff and a ruptured bicep tendon. Ryan Denny is an amazing physical therapist. Over the period of 5 months we rebuilt flexibly and strength through graduated exercises and other techniques that enhanced the healing process. I really liked the exercise demonstration videos that were emailed to me after each session so I knew I was doing them correctly. I was very anxious to return to sports activities and Ryan understood that. I think that I returned to weight training and other sports activities fairly quickly given the nature of my injuries. Great place to get PT.

Jessica Johnson (JJ) has been my primary therapist. JJ has been well attuned to my feedback & is able to adjust & provide solutions to treat my specific needs for my knee. JJ has built my self confidence through therapy & home exercises that I perform on my own. The combination has helped me towards my hiking goals. She is helping me now with a shoulder. Experiencia fantástica: After decades of being in pain, and trying various drugs, injections, massages and bad advice, I was referred to OST by a spine specialist. I met Ryan Denny at OST, and after discussing my situation, he was confident he could help me. He put me through various exercises and movements specifically for my back pain. He evaluated my progress and gave me an exercise routine for home. After two weeks I could feel an improvement and had less pain. Now after a month of working with Ryan, I am almost pain free. I am back to playing golf three times week and doing things I had a hard time doing around the house. I'm 69 years old and feel better than I have in years. I whole heartedly recommend Ryan to anyone who is having problems with their body. Ryan is friendly and makes my treatments fun. The staff is personable and the facilities are clean and efficient.

I was afraid to take the stairs cause my knee would hurt. Now I even run up the stairs. The staff is so nice they even sent you your exercises to do and reminders of appointments. Experiencia fantástica: Ryan is amazing! Prior to coming in I had severe back pain in my middle and lower back with decreased range of motion. I tried multiple means to try to relieve it including frequent massages and working out . During my first session Ryan performed dry needling and my pain significantly decreased and my range of motion greatly improved. I was actually shocked! He is very hands on and knowledgeable, and it helps that the staff is super friendly. I have been to physical therapist in the past, but my pain never really went away, but with Ryan he has made a huge difference with using multiple modalities to improve my pain over the past few weeks. Highly, highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: My doctor recommended Orthopedic Sports Therapy for hip pain and I reluctantly make an appointment. As a life long runner and golfer I was resigned to accepting the discomfort associated with these activities. Ryan Denny did an extensive evaluation of my issues and gradually developed a plan of exercises based on my goals of running and golfing for fitness and recreation. He kept the program reasonable and manageable and after about 2 months I feel I am much improved and am both running and golfing with very little discomfort in my hip. I continue to do the exercises in the program Ryan prescribed and am close to full recovery. I would highly recommend Ryan and was very pleased with the Orthopedic Sports Therapy staff as a whole.

Working one on one with Dr Ryan Denny a regiment of exercises has eliminated the back issue. We are presently progressing on increasing my body core strength and reducing my shoulder pain while increasing my arm and shoulder mobility. Working with Austin was really fun, even though the exercises could be really challenging. Pam really helped me push myself and now I can do movements I had stopped doing years ago. Experiencia fantástica: Orthopedic Sports Therapy is an incredible place. I began therapy here after I was diagnosed with a tibial plateau fracture and knee injury. My therapist Pam Neuharth recognized after a few weeks that I wasn’t improving like I should be. She referred me to another orthopedic doctor whom after more tests, discovered that my femur was subsequently fractured. If it wasn’t for her expertise and genuine care for me as a patient, i may not have received the medical attention I needed. Through this whole process, I managed to gain 25 pounds. Pam also educated me on a nutritional program that they offer their patients. I took advantage of this program and now I am finally headed to healing my body and mind. The staff is incredibly friendly and I have worked with several of the physical therapists. Every single experience I’ve had has been truly amazing.

I frequently interacted with both Shawna and Alyssa at the front desk who worked to accommodate my schedule and were always pleasant and professional. My therapist, Melanie, demonstrated excellent problem solving and clinical skills to help address my issues. I had significant improvement within the first few visits. The PTs work one-on-one with you for the entire session, and that sets it apart from many other clinics. Melanie is fantastic! She treated me for a low back issue which had stalled my workouts. She got me back on track within a few sessions and gave me some great instruction on how to keep progressing. I was lucky to work with her and recommend her without hesitation! I also worked with Cole for one session, and he is excellent as well. An all-around great Physical Therapy clinic.

A year ago I had a small rupture in my plantar fascia and after some treatment with my podiatrist, I started to get physical therapy treatment at a different facility. I plateaued very early on with that therapist and decided to seek help elsewhere. This is where Orthopedic Sports Therapy came in and changed my life! I mostly worked with Daniel and he was amazing. He worked tirelessly to find solutions for my ever-evolving condition. He and Pam made me feel confident that I was receiving the best possible treatment. They didn’t accept anything less than progress. They’re very knowledgeable and extremely caring. Every patient gets one on one treatment from the therapists, so they’re able to focus on the patient’s needs. They’re also very respectful of the patients’ time, so they adhere to the schedule to make sure they see everyone on time. The front-line staff are super friendly and efficient and work diligently to get you set up with appointments that work best for you.
