Experiencia fantástica: I shattered my wrist in several places, requiring surgery and a steel plate. My surgeon recommended ATC for rehab, which turned out to be fantastic advice. Mo and her staff worked with me for two months, resulting in a full recovery. ATC has a highly knowledgeable staff, great equipment and a very positive atmosphere. Also, on several occasions, ATC worked with my crazy schedule, meeting me in the early morning or early evening. I am convinced that I am better in the near and long-term as a result of ATC's efforts. No need to look elsewhere.

Experiencia fantástica: Don't let this modest office deceive you. GREAT things happen there! Front office is staffed by the very friendly Kendra who makes you feel most welcome. Then, you might meet Lucia, who is quirky, very funny, and friendly. And then you meet Mo Herman. Very unassuming but wicked smart. She will do a comprehensive evaluation of you (questions and things she can measure i.e. strength, ROM). After that she develops a plan for your success. She corrects you if you are not doing an exercise correctly and always gently encourages you to keep working harder. Each session you will find new exercises to do, all with the goal of getting back to your new self. I worked very hard at home with the exercises and I "graduated" after 6 sessions with her. She and her staff are fantastic and I would recommend them to anyone interested in recovering from an upper extremity injury or surgery. I'm on my way, but I find myself missing them. They really cared about me and my rehabilitation. Thanks Mo...and Staff!!

Experiencia fantástica: In April of 2014, I suffered a displaced fracture of my right radius just above the wrist playing Ice Hockey, and although my physician was able to reduce the facture w/o surgery, my right wrist was nearly useless after being immobilized for 6 weeks. My grip strength had dropped to 40% of what it should have been, and the range of motion in my wrist so limited that I was having real difficulty functioning at work and at home. My physician sent me to Advance Physical Therapy to see Mo, and she and her team were able to help me regain the strength and range of motion in my wrist to the point that I tend to forget it was ever broken. I live in the South Bay, but work in Irvine, and Mo and her team routinely came into the office early to stretch my wrist and guide me through my strengthening exercises so that I could get to work timely. They are just awesome - I honestly don’t know how I would have made it through this low point in my life without them. I am now fully functional, and looking forward to the next hockey season – Thank you Mo!

Experiencia fantástica: I have consulted with Advanced Therapy Center for three separate arm injuries, and each time I have had success that has allowed me to resume my sports quickly. The physical therapy for my shoulder was comprehensive and customized to my specific problems. The therapy program allowed me avoid surgery and most importantly play golf again. Then I had tendonitis on my elbow, where they taught me exercises for my entire upper extremity, and what was causing it so I could avoid it in the future. I got back to golf faster than I expected. Then I had issues with my thumb, and the hand therapy included custom splinting to rest it, and I was able to get back to skiing faster. They are hand specialists, and elbow specialists and shoulder specialists. I can't thank them enough! A great team.

Experiencia fantástica: Mo is an awesome hand therapist. I am a bartender and I cut my hand on a piece a glass and needed rehab to get it back to full strength. Mo and her staff are wonderful. I would recommend to anyone that is looking to recover quickly from an injury.

My hands are starting to feel much better. Thank you both so much for being so kind and helping. Kendra(front office) is always friendly and the texts reminders for appts is a plus.

Experiencia fantástica: I am very pleased with the shoulder therapy I have been receiving at Advanced Therapy Center. I am improving rapidly. My therapist, Katie, has been patient and thorough, making sure that I know precisely how to do the home exercises. I am a musician, so I am very committed to a full recovery and expect to achieve it because of the skill of my therapist, and the care with which my home therapy program has been taught to me. This is my second experience with this group, my first therapy was following hand surgery with Mo as my hand therapist. In both cases, the well-run office, the precise therapy instructions, and the excellent therapists, make this an excellent choice for musicians.

Experiencia fantástica: I was referred to Advanced Therapy Center by my hand surgeon, Dr. Shin at Kerlan Jobe. He had great things to say about Mo, and her office was also conveniently located about 15 mins from my house. They were very accommodating from the start, getting me into their office to start therapy only 2 days after I was referred. I was always able to get scheduled in to see Mo 2x a week, even with her busy schedule. (Thanks to Kendra, the Office Manager) I had a torn ligament in my thumb. I literally could not move my thumb at the first session, and by my final session after 6 weeks of therapy, I had close to full range of motion back in my thumb. Therapy sessions generally consisted of warming up the hand and joints, then massage therapy and mobilization of the joint, followed by various exercises. I wanted to do a lot of therapy on my own, so I could really speed the recovery process. So, in addition to all the work Mo did with me in therapy sessions, she worked with me to give me the exercises I could do on my own at home. Giving feedback, answering questions, and guiding me on the home therapy I did . If you really want to see the results from therapy, you have to be willing to do the homework. I'd say for every 1 hour session with Mo, I would do 5 hours of therapy on my own. My injury was to my dominant hand, and I really wanted to regain full range of motion and strength. I researched surgery recovery and therapy a lot, and from what I've read, the first several months are the most important, so scar tissue can be broken down and mobility restored. And you have to be willing to continue the therapy on your own after therapy. If you don't, you will not get the best results possible, no matter how good the therapist. Overall, it was a fantastic environment to receive therapy: Mo and her staff were focused and professional. I have done various therapy for sports injuries in the past, and many of my experiences were in larger PT offices, where you often get assigned to therapists right out of college, that either aren't as focused as they should be on the patient, or are still trying out new things they learned and dont seem to have much of a plan for therapy. Mo's office was the opposite, extremely attentive and had a detailed plan for my therapy. I would highly recommend Advanced Therapy Center to anyone that needs hand therapy.

Experiencia fantástica: I cannot say enough about my hand therapist Mo Herman. I began therapy right after I had surgery for "gamekeepers" thumb. I had virtually no range of motion and pain in my thumb. After a few short weeks with Mo, my hand is almost back to normal and my thumb has regained almost all of its original range of motion. She and her staff are excellent! They were organized and helpful. I never had to wait when I arrived for my appointment. I am very happy I chose her as my therapist as she came highly recommended by others and I agree. I will refer her to anyone who needs a specialist in hand and upper extremity therapy-great experience!

Experiencia fantástica: Mo is fantastic. I cut my flexor tendon on a piece of glass. Mo has helped me for about a year now rehabbing my finger. She is the best therapist I have been to. I have had 4 surgeries on my hand and two different physical therapist. Thank God I finally found Mo. I guess I should have figured she was good after i saw that she does work for the clippers.
