Experiencia fantástica: My mom was transferred to this hospital from Huntington. The hospital is a no frill type place so I felt a Lille worried coming in. However, I could not be more grateful for the excellent care my mom received in the 20 days she was here. The entire team is excellent and they all show real compassion in what they do. From rehab to RT to nursing everybody is excellent. I can't say thank you enough to all of you.

Experiencia fantástica: This place has a lot of friendly staff. Even if the place gets cold at night, the staff here are all warm and caring. I guess it's true that it doesn't matter what the place looks like on the outside, but its what's in the inside that counts. To be honest, we didn't have much of a choice on were we needed to go after my hospital stay, so I'm glad we were able to find this place in west covina. At first, you wonder how the staff will treat you, but my fears went away on the first day when we got to meet some of the people here. Each and every nurse, therapist, doctor, aide, all the way to the housekeepers treated us with respect and dignity.I say this because in my experience, this seems to be the biggest fear most new patients face when being admitted to a unfamiliar place for the first time. The staff went above and beyond to give us access a semi private room and made sure all our needs were met. This is a truly great place and desrves more recognition from the community. If I could give it more stars, I would.

Experiencia fantástica: There are a lot of caring personal. Real people. They can sure beneffit from including volunteers for a few hours. Some patients get no visits from family members then can sure use some quality time.

Experiencia fantástica: If Disneyland is the happiest place on earth, then Kindred San Gabe is the happiest place in westcovina! Everyone smiles! Everyone is friendly and really does care! It can get loud and busy but that just means everyone is working to take care of the patients! The doctors need to spend time with the family instead of just coming in and out and saying things are better. Thank god for the caregivers that come in and thoroughly explain what's going on, they know more than the doctors! They take there time to really explain things in simple ways so that we can all understand.

Experiencia fantástica: Every bit of Five Stars was earned, during my stay at Kindred Hospital in San Gabriel. And that is really saying something. I own a business and really was surprised at the enthusiasm of the staff and consistent care. During my whole stay, which concluded 4 weeks I was alert and oriented. I would always walk around feeling comfortable and welcomed with warm smiles from each and every person that worked there. Erolden and Rowena; a social worker and patient relations reprasentive especially were great assests to me during my stay. Thanks Kindred, keep up the good work!!

Experiencia fantástica: This location is smaller and more convenient than the other long term hospitals we looked at. We brought our grandfather here after a long stay at the hospital. The staff here is always friendly and when they see us, they always make sure to go out of their way to come say hello. I really love the entire atmosphere here. Its small but has a good vibe with everyone always smiling. The parking is my only drawback here. My recommendation is to go between 8 am and 11am or else you'd end up parking down the street. But the times we did visit, it wasn't to much of a problem, but my mom will say otherwise since she was there all the time. Aside from that, I do like this place. It's one of the nicer hospitals in the area.

Experiencia fantástica: My sister had a head & neck injury due to a car accident that happened in August of this year. She stayed in the hospital for almost 3 weeks before transferring to kindred in the west covina area. Before being admitted my wife, brother inlaw and I came for a tour of the hospital and were greeted by very friendly people. My brother inlaw was accommodated with a reclining chair so he could be with my sister during her time there. The entire staff was very caring and made our situation easier inspite of everything we had gone through since the accident. Many a thanks to everybody.

Experiencia fantástica: My brother had a trachiotomy and needed rehab to ween him off of it. Kendred did a great job in their ICU. He was watched over by a great staff and we then transferred him to Arbor Glen in Glendora where they completed his rehabilitation. He walked out on his own two legs.

Experiencia fantástica: The staff is friendly and professional and have become friends. The food is good. Ricky night nurse, ruby night cna, divia nursing, aj lab, Samantha infection control, Nancy phlebotomy. Overall nursing staff gets 5 stars. Desiree patient advocate was very nice. Marie case manager worked so hard to help with transfer to next facility. The rna Ramona and so many other nurses were wonderful. Doctors come by a lot to check in. Doctors govil, chahine, discepolo, Dr. See all great. If you're reading this I hope your experience at kindred San Gabriel Valley in west Covina was as positive as mine was.

Experiencia fantástica: On 4th of July, while at an assisted senior living facility our mom was transported to ER. Two weeks later, mom was transported to skilled nursing facility which ended up being more than six weeks at which time our mom fell ill. I picked up our mom and drove her to ER myself. She was in ER and ICU for over a week prior to being transported to Kindred Hospital San Gabriel Valley for acute care. In the last two months, the above medial locations (Not Kindred Hospital) did not provide the expected level of service, quality of medical care and poor communication to our family. At which time, our family was contemplating hospice for our mom which the primary Dr failed to communicate. Good news below!!! While at Kindred Hosptial, the nursing staff and Julie, Mom’s Case Manager provided “World Class Health, Patient Care and Services for our mom. We were provided with an abundance of communication and expectations for our mom’s quality of long-term medical care. The staff would call us back at all hours of the day and night - greatly appreciated. Until you get to know the staff and their willingness to be open and honest demonstrates their level of integrity, courtesy, and collaboration with any family to do the best for our mom. Unfortunately, our mom will be transported to a long-term facility however, we are ever grateful for the kindness, patience, and leadership that the administration and nursing staff shown us as a family caring for our mom of nine children. Experiencia fantástica: I was transferred from Bakersfield to this location after being in ICU for COVID From Dec-Feb. I stayed here over a month from Feb ‘we-March ‘21 and had a good as can be experience. I wish I remembered all nurses and CNA’s names but I will try to thank each individually. First off my first thanks is to the Respiratory team, everyone one that worked with me was awesome. Made me feel comfortable and responded quickly to my panic calls. They all understood and Walked me through procedures. There was one in particular who stood out his name started with an A a middle aged man. Always had me laughing and smiling. Even the day I left he stopped by to say and wish me luck! Almost Every CNA was awesome went above and beyond many times some names I recall are Susie, Cindy?, there was 2 Hispanic men that worked at night and they had me laughing all night. They’re little jokers but it’s awesome when you’re somewhere like this away from home. My nurse Holly was #1 too much to say about her but I loved when she was assigned to me! Dr. See (sp?) I know her names probably spelled wrong. I promised I would take her name down to remember oops. Anyways she was the best took time every evening to stop by and explain what is going on. She gave me little parting gift and always words of encouragement. I can not forget the man Romeo that gave out meds etc he has the best bedside member ever. Always a smile a little bit of convo made the nasty mess go down easy. Almost done i promise…my occupational therapist Charlen was the sweetest of them all. She helped me so little things like brush my teeth or trying to comb out my natted hair she really took her time. And last but not least my favorite part of it all was Physical therapy with Romel and Richard! I went in unable to walk or stand and my the time I left I was walking in a walker standing on my own. They would give you slack when needed but pushed you in a good way. Loved my time with them. I was sad to leave them but I left on a positive note and experiences from Kindred San Gabriel. I didn’t deal much with Administration but my husband was a nagger and a calller and he was always listened to when calling upset and very helpful. I would recommend this place 100% Look at my records and everyone who served me was awesome give them a grade A for it all. Made me sad to leave this place and go somewhere else.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Smith at Huntington Memorial Hospital was excited to secure a bed for my daughter at this hospital and she was transferred to Kindred SGV in January. I was extremely concerned as my vegetative daughter can’t tell me how she is cared for and there were no visitors allowed until last week. I was 100% impressed from the very first nurse who admitted my daughter. I wish I had every name of staff with whom I have spoken to thank them personally but since I don’t, my sincere thanks to each and every one of you on the west wing and the south wing. Thank you to Dr. Jamal to whom I have spoken twice. Dr. Jarchi, Dr. See and Nurse Sue- wound care specialists extraordinar, Nurse Holly and Misttress of all visitations, Aretha, you have no idea how your dedication has not only impacted my daughter”s recovery but uplifted me during one of the most challenging times of my life. Thank you is so woefully inadequate for all your dedication!

We are very thankful to have had the encounter with everyone. The administration was a pleasure to deal with. The negative review's are simply not what they claim about this facility and staff. I recommend you judge for yourself before listening to the negative.

Experiencia fantástica: My family and I truly believe that Kindred helped in making a miracle for my husband. My husband and I both caught the Covid virus in January. We both seemed to get better in about a week but he started running a low grade fever a few days later and in a in few more days he was in the hospital. I was told by his doctor he needed to go on a ventilator. Our family was very concerned considering he's 75. He was lucky enough to be removed from the ventilator after 12 days. He was immediately moved to Kindred. He couldn't take care of himself, move his arms or legs or feed himself. As soon as he got there he was seen by their doctors and started working with the physical therapists, Richard and Romel, and the occupational therapist, Charlene, he started making improvements. With the help of the Patient Rep, Aretha, and his Case Worker, Jenny, we felt he had great care. It was a team effort from all of them and we can't thank them enough. . Sherry Eckler

Experiencia fantástica: This is an excellent transitional hospital provide patient to recover. The staffs are very caring, friendly and informative. At first I was uncertain what care my mother, 90 years old, would get after reading couple of low rating reviews from Yelp. But in real it’s not what we experienced. I feel they are doing best to take care of the patient and family members. Under Covid-19 cloud, they arrowed us with PPE to visit my mother in person which we could not have the opportunity for eight months. Aretha, thank you for the arrangement! And from the visit we saw firsthand how the staffs treat the patients. After three weeks, my mother has recovered well and returned to nursing home. I highly recommend this facility. Their professionalism and kindness deserve five stars.

Experiencia fantástica: Mom was transferred here post tracheotomy with a feeding tube in place. Most everyone was helpful, but the person I want to thank the most is Aretha, patient relations rep. She kept us informed and in touch with Mom (via FaceTime) during a difficult time with COVID restrictions. Her upbeat personality and ability to get things done proved amazing. One example, Mom was refusing physical therapy (she had never done this before). Aretha figured out the problem and resolved it immediately. She was our patient advocate when we were unable to be there. For this (and many more reasons), my family and I will be forever grateful. THANK YOU Aretha and the rest of the Kindred San Gabriel staff! Also, Dr Subbiah gets a 5 star rating! Mom is a complicated cancer patient. Dr Subbiah works for City of Hope West Covina office. It is my understanding that he helps out at Kindred when needed. He reviewed Mom's case when she was first admitted and gave me his phone number if I had further questions. I called him twice. He took both calls answering my questions in a kind and respectful manner. I hung up feeling my mom was in the right place!

Some nurses sit with me and talk me through my anxiety. The nurses are always smiling. I am afraid to go somewhere else because I have such a bond with the staff

Experiencia fantástica: My husband was very very sick when he was admitted into ICU Kindred San Gabriel Valley Hospital. I cannot express my gratitude to all the nurses, doctors, and staff. My husband was then transferred to a regular room and the care was excellent. Shaunte Anderson, the Nursing Administrator is unbelievable. She made sure my husband and my family were well taken care off. Shaunte listens and takes positive action when needed.. Doris, the nursing supervisor, the best supervisor. Well, if i start naming each one i will run out of space and words. This is a hospital with professional care and so much love for their patients. I highly recommend this facility.

Experiencia fantástica: My mom was taken to kindred after her Hospital stay and I wasn't sure about it at first but after a few weeks it seems like a nice place with caring doctors , nurses and therapists. Parking can be a problem for visitors
