Experiencia fantástica: At least 6 months ago I had to get some further testing on something that didn’t look good. No details but during that time and I was feeling terrified and just grim. I called one day to reschedule and Patricia answered. I was not being nice, but she was. Her kindness melted me and I started crying and I asked her to please forgive my behavior and then she just talked to me about all the fears I was having but couldn’t tell anyone else. It wasn’t a very long conversation, but it helped more than she knew, and more than I could imagine. Fast forward to today 6-7 months later.I had an appointment and was checking in and and wasn’t paying attention. I have my birthdate and she immediately said” “How did it go?” It was Patricia. She remembered. Hundreds and hundreds of patients between then and now. But she remembered. This is the world I’m proud to live in. I guess the lesson is open up when you feel like shutting down and you’ll find more Patriciacs

Experiencia fantástica: Can’t say enough great things about the women’s center. When my I took my wife in for labor everything was perfect from the start. The hospitality was amazing. Shout out to Becky, Sherry, Tara, and Dr. Burgett. They saved our child’s life. Very blessed and thankful for everyone there.

They were very hospitable and kind. Kim helped her when she got here. Keilani, she got a drinks , my cousin ice then water etc. She checked on us often. Thank you for your great service at this hospital . When my cousin needed help they were there:) thanks again. For being an answer to my prayers. I’m grateful to God

Experiencia fantástica: The one in West Jordan I am more comfortable with and familiar with than the one in West Valley. The WJ facility has an open lobby allowing sunlight and giving the "open space" feeling which I like. Having had family taken care of there with satisfied outcome is why I prefer this particular facility. The WVC facility, I've had friends pass away there so it's understandably the least favorable hospitable.

Experiencia fantástica: The staff are amazing! The facility seemed nice (only saw one small area), and was very clean. Dr. Hunter, Dr. Peterson and Dr. Taylor are AMAZING. They made me feel comfortable and did takethe time to answer all of my questions.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been in the New Vision program for 3 days and have gone through the worst withdrawals of my life. If it weren't for Dr. Mcdowell and the nursing staff Hannah E, Liz, Ashley, and Spencer I definitely would have left and probably wouldn't have made itin life. Can't give them enough praise and gratitude for putting up with all my whinnying and neediness. Thank you.

Experiencia positiva: My surgery in January went great and the staff took excellent care of me. However, I overpaid the hospital prior to my procedure, and have been trying fruitlessly to receive the refund I'm owed for six months now. I am a cancer patient--I could do without the stress of battling to receive the $3,000+ of HSA funds this hospital owes me. Update: Amended rating upwards because the refund was issued promptly less than 12 hours of contacting the patient representative.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Miles, nurse Sofie and Sofie's intern were super kind and supportive during my emergency stay for my kidney stones. Although, the hospital was very busy at the time, they ensued I was not forgotten. I thank them very much for caring helping my wife and I during our stay.

Experiencia fantástica: ER staff was caring and efficient! I was admitted with three breaks in my ankle. Next day surgery. The staff was kind, personable and efficient. I choose to do rehab at Jordan Valley Rehab! Amazing NURSES! Great CNA’s and the Physical and Occupational therapist were the absolute best!!

Experiencia fantástica: We were in the icu surgical room ( i believe)... with my dad to get surgery done to see what was going on with his heart, and they were the kindest here. One nurse in particular I want to mention here because he went above and beyond to make my dads stay there very comfortable. His name was Chad. I don't recall the last name, but he was seriously amazing and so caring. God bless you, chad!

Experiencia fantástica: My experience at this hospital was the best I would go to it anytime and recommend it to others. When my dad recently Had Surgery not only did they Take very good Care of him. But after he got out of surgery not only did his nurse but his doctor got ahold of me to let me know how surgery went and he was ready to come home, When we got there to the hospital staff helped me my daughter find my dad in the same day surgery recovery area. I asked 1 person for help and each person we saw in the hallway pointed us or showed us where to go with out asking. They also helped helped us take him out to the car and they helped us get him into the car and make sure that he was comfortable before we left. Overall best experience ever had. Again the hospital staff was wonderful never had that experienced any where else.

Experiencia fantástica: Admitted via ambulance after a fall from a step stool. Broken femur. The ortho surgeon was AMAZING! I’m in my 70’s & not a senior games marathoner… they got me up standing then walking next day (*because of the great surgeon). I found the nurses & their staff to be remarkable. Had 2 very frightening nights with medical issues that were handled with SUCH expertise & kindness. On day 5, so very lucky & privileged to have been accepted to their 10 bed Inpatient PT/OT program. Can’t express my gratitude enough. Extremely knowledgeable and patient. I’ll be going home on day 16. I’m so grateful about being brought here. Amazing care; emphasis on care

Experiencia fantástica: This was the best Emergency Room experience I've ever had! They got me right in, and didn't trivialize my concern even when nothing ended up being wrong. And while I was waiting for my test results to come back, Dr. Florence let me watch my baby on the ultrasound. That was super fun and special for a pregnant mama! I would recommend Dr. Florence to anyone!

Experiencia fantástica: Just did my mammogram and I had the best experience here! I felt safe and comfortable. From signing in (the front receptionist was SO nice!) to the mammographer (great attitude, very caring) - it was easy and fast. I didn’t have a great experience with my past mammograms (done in Nevada) so I was quite anxious but pretty quickly my anxiety mellowed down bc of the staff.

Experiencia fantástica: I know this hospital has had a bad rap for a while. However I just had a hysterectomy and an over night stay last week. All hospital staff were amazing, caring, and helpful. All my needs were met quickly. They did an amazing job at making me as comfortable as possible. Only complaint I had was the food. Hospital food is always so tasty.

Experiencia fantástica: I visited the ER last weekend out of an abundance of caution. I am so glad that I went in! Dr. Florence and the administrative staff we all so helpful. They attended to me promptly and I left feeling very satisfied. It’s never fun to have to go to the ER, but if the need arises I would recommend Jordan Valley Medical without hesitation

Experiencia fantástica: My husband just had surgery at Jordan Valley Hospital. From the minute we arrived we had such an amazing experience. Everyone there was so pleasant, so attentive and so kind (not to mention a great sense of humor)! The care was exceptional.

Experiencia fantástica: I was checked in, in a timely fashion. My wait was not long. The nurses were good to me. My veins are not good. The first nurse made a stick and did not make it. She got another nuts and she made the stick. After the colonoscopy the nurses were great.

Experiencia fantástica: Although my husband's visit was not without some minor issues, our service and experience at Jordan Valley Hospital was interspersed with some of the most wonderful people we have run across. From our nurse, Cindy, to our Dialysis nurses, Sandra and Karen, we were blessed over and over to have them helping us. Also, there was a woman visiting from the U of U who teaches people how to insert an IV using an ultrasound to guide the person to and thru the vein. We were so lucky she was there, as she happened to volunteer to use her process on my husband. This saved everyone from the agony of his responses if things didn't go well. I would be remiss if I failed to mention the Risk Manager of the hospital who visited us before we went home. She is a fabulous person who does her job beyond-beyond - what a wonderful woman. All in all, we appreciate everyone we came across - however, these folks mentioned about were outstanding!

Experiencia fantástica: Dr K is the most amazing doctor, I don't know his secrets but you will have little to no pain except the usual muscle and stitches pain. I had a major back fusion and didn't need any pain medication except pills, no dilated or morphine. And the severe back pain I lived with for years is completely gone and the nurses on the 3rd floor recovery are the nicest sweetest people and truly care and are just lovely people. Dott, Susie, and Cynthia are the greatest. They truly become friends. Everyone that comes to help from nursing to different departments are equally great. Thanks Jordan Valley Medical. It would be wise and a life changer to come here for your procedure.

Experiencia fantástica: Our family recently experienced some of the Kindest, most sensitive service I have experienced in a hospital. My father went to the E.R. and later the ICU unit with complications from a stroke. The service he received and the kindness and dignity he was afforded from the staff during his stay was phenomenal. As you can imagine, anytime a loved one goes through an experience that involves critical care with an emergency room visit and a hospital stay is stressful, emotional and at times painful to be involved in. We were all so impressed with all aspects of his stay. The helpfulness from the staff not only for my father but in keeping the family updated and informed on condition and changes was much appreciated and did not go unnoticed or unappreciated.

Experiencia fantástica: I went in for surgery and was helped by the nicest people ever. They are so good at their job and caring for others. It was a great experience because of the care I received. They gave me all the info I would need about my operation. It took 20 minutes, and I was in recovery and getting a cookie and drink. Having surgery is never fun (lol), but it can be a positive experience by the care you are provided. Thank you so much for that and KUDOS to a great team of nurses and Dr's. Y'all need a raise.

Experiencia fantástica: I came here for a work injury, every nurse and doctor I had were extremely nice and listened to me and heard me and helped me as much as they could! They made everything comfortable and I never felt anxious. They explained everything so that I could understand and took care of me as if I have been a patient there for years! I had surgery there and everything went smooth and I was well taken care of! I will definitely return in the future to get great care!

Experiencia fantástica: I don’t even live in Utah and I would come here again and again for emergency care. My experience in the ED was wonderful and I left feeling so much better. From the moment I walked in through discharge I was met with kindness and empathy. It’s amazing how after a pandemic, nursing shortages, and so much morbidity and mortality that the caring still shines through, especially here. The nursing staff love where they work and this was so evident in the way they quickly and expertly provided me the care I required. The treatment by Dr. Unger was unmatched in my experience and she went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable, heard as a patient, and offered me multiple treatment options based on the latest evidence. I am so appreciate of this team’s time, grace, and care. I will be forever grateful for their help. Thank you so much Jordan Valley Medical Center!

Experiencia fantástica: The Jordan Valley Cancer Center Radiation Oncology has been so amazing! They entire team has been so gracious and kind. They have helped me get through all my radiation treatments and were there for me during my toughest times. Marla, Michelle, Maria, Bonnie, Brennan and Elaine have been so welcoming and caring every day that I showed up for treatment. They kept me positive daily and jumped in to help anytime I needed further care or assistance. I’m so grateful to the team and Dr. Rogers for all their support and genuine kindness.

Experiencia fantástica: My husband is in the acute rehabilitation unit, the staff are awesome! They care about their patients, their needs and want them to meet their goal. All the nurses ROCK! Experiencia fantástica: We had our child delivered at Jordan Valley Medical Center. The staff in the women's center were very nice and professional. They treated us very well. The cafeteria had pretty good food options. We really appreciated the celebratory meal, we thought it was a fun touch. We'll be coming back for the next kid.

Experiencia fantástica: I went to the ER with a very uncomfortable situation and I was lucky enough to get Suzette Harding taking care of me! She immediately made a rough situation feel very comfortable and kept me at ease. She was very personable and really good at her job! And I also have to give a shout-out to my awesome nurse Taylor as well, they were the perfect duo and I couldn’t have gotten better care!

Experiencia fantástica: On Saturday I took my husband in to the ER and a few hours later he was rushed in to emergency surgery. He's been in ICU ever since and I cannot stress enough what an amazing staff they have working in the ICU. Super attentive and kind. Sadly my hubby has a history of hospitalizations and I can tell you hands down I've never had better service then in the ICU here at Jordan Valley. We've been to the U of U hosp, IHC, LDS hosp, regional hosp, St Marks (the worst), and a few others but Jordan Valley has outdone them all. I was genuinely surprised at the amount of care he received because I'm used to having to hustle nurses to get anything done at any of the other locations...but not here. I'm impressed and recommend them 100%. Do not let the older, smaller exterior fool you. They know their stuff there and are super thorough. Thank you for helping my husband, Jordan V Med Center, it means the world to me and my family that he got treated well and was less stressed then any other medical facility we've ever been to. I'm blown away and thankful. Shoutout to Thomas (RN) and Jordan (RN) in the ICU, you guys are incredible.

Experiencia fantástica: This hospital has the most experienced medical staff for your birthing, c-section, postpartum needs. Special shoutout to Amy from Labor who understood my wife’s needs and was able to make a quick decision based on our circumstances. David from anesthesia with his epidural experience made it comfortable as well being quick to react when it came time to do the c-section instead. Postpartum was amazing as every nurse gave us their insight for latching methods, lactation advise, newborn calming methods, bathing, and finally addressing what are current standards compared to the past. They’ve shown care and experience which made me and my wife comfortable there. Special shout out to the nurses in postpartum who were all amazing. Who really stood out was: Liane, and Sharon. Those two are wizards. Jordan Valley is a great hospital and no it’s not the ghetto hospital others will say it is. Rooms have been revised everything is clean. Your OB will likely suggest this location as ours did. It’s worth following through with their suggestion.

When arriving by ambulance I was greeted by 5 nurses and the Dr. They took great care of me in a very short time. I spent 3 days in the Medical Center and was given excellent care and everyone was so nice. Thank you Jordan Valley Medical Center for your exceptional care.

Experiencia fantástica: I would definitely suggest my wife to labor again at Jordan Valley (and she would agree), nurses are very informative and kind. There is outstanding support for the newborns and mama's best (their breakfast burrito is so good). Their NICU personal did a great job at taking care and helping us to take care of our little one. Even my mother in law said that their services were just another level compared to previous experiences. Thanks and keep up the good work!

Experiencia fantástica: Just had my baby here and what an amazing experience! I highly recommend this hospital!!! From the delivery to postpartum care, the nursing staff are so beyond supportive. The food was actually pretty good, easy to order and everyone in that department was so friendly too. Even housekeeping (Miss Wanda) rocks with her kindness and cleanliness! Everyone here takes it to another level of care. Me and my baby are so happy here. For my second baby, I was anticipating misery, mentally and physically, but I’m actually having a great time at the Women's center that it’s going by fast. They have a celebratory meal which my husband and I really enjoyed! The rooms are huge and clean, I thought I was in another lobby lol. Their nursery was a lifesaver for me and they took great photos of my baby. I can go on and on with how awesome this place is. I haven’t even discharged yet. My husband can tell that I am being taken care of real well here compared to our first experience elsewhere. The maternity nurses (Sharon and Paula) really shine here. Thank you to these ladies, Dr. Epstein and the Women’s Center for making our experience so positive and comfy!

Experiencia fantástica: I recently relocated to Utah and and my family was visiting. My mom became sick and I took her to Jordan Valley MC for care. I cannot express how kind, responsive and caring the staff have been. I’m from Atlanta, and I know my mom would never have gotten the same level of care there that she has received here. I am incredibly grateful for their treatment and kindness to my family. I can only give 5 stars on this review, but they are deserving of much more.

Experiencia fantástica: Special thank you to melissa, the night L&D nurse she was absolutely wonderful and kind throughout the entire process. Dr. Peacock is absolutely amazing and kind. She always made me feel as if she really cared about my concerns and questions. Natalie my recovery nurse was so polite and very helpful. Wonda always kept my room clean and the cafeteria staff was absolutely delightful, food was always so delicious. Cindi in the NICU was so friendly and helpful and Dr. Smith was absolutely informative and helped understand the entire process. I was alone but what I mean by that was my family was unable to be there until a couple days after but the staff there made me feel as if I wasn't alone. They were so caring and loving the entire proces. I can't explain the amount of gratitude I have for my experience. Thank you so much for all who I was under care.

Experiencia fantástica: Coming from the University of Utah it was truly a life changing experience. Of course, they are not a level one trauma center and they never claim to be. I went there for chest pain and they were quick to address my concerns and the number one thing that I really liked is their ability to advocate for my opinion in my health care. I have had several experiences where doctors try to force things on me and explain that they know best and that this is what I need. Obviously, I do not have a medical degree and I understand that certain things are necessary however, what I really do like is there ability to work as a team to find a solution. As an individual you know your body and you know what has work best in the past. The environment was not overwhelming comparatively and the staff was very amazing and attentive. Even with all of my issues for my one visit I still got out of there within 4 to 5 hours compared to the university where I am there 5 to 8 hours which is understandable because of the size and what they normally treat. Basically, if you are not going there for a level one issue I would suggest this one over the university any day.

Experiencia fantástica: Super friendly and helpful staff. Doctors and nurses there really take care of you. I went there for a broken ankle and had surgery. My appointments were scheduled quickly and considerate of my wife's work schedule. They explained every step of the process to make my surgery run smoothly and less painful fiscally, mentally and monetary.

Experiencia fantástica: By far this has been the best hospital experience I’ve ever had! The nurses and doctors have been helpful and friendly. We had several directors of different departments come and visit us to see how we were feeling about their workers (which shows they value quality to me). The overall aesthetic was warm and inviting. It just made having a baby so much more comfortable :). Thank you Jordan Valley!

Experiencia fantástica: I went to the emergency room last night for extreme stomach pain which turned out to be kidney stones. I cannot say enough positive things about the staff and Doctor Giles and my nurse, Ashley (didn’t catch her last name). They took my pain seriously and got me into a room with very little wait. They got me some pain medication as quickly as they could and the doctor got right to the point in his initial assessment of me and kept me informed about next steps the whole way. Ashley was unbelievably good. She was super on top of checking in on me, and she made sure I knew I could call her back in if the pain medication wore off or wasn’t working well. She talked me through kidney stones and what I could expect so I wasn’t in the dark at all. What meant the most to me was how much she (and the rest of the staff) sympathized with my pain. I’m sure it would be easy to be desensitized to that kind of thing when you see as much pain as an ER nurse does, but she made me feel comforted and safe and gave me the dignity I needed while I endured the worst pain I’ve ever felt in my life. She also was easy to reach after I was discharged and had questions about my medication and she let me know when her next shift was so I could call in again and talk to her directly if needed. Thank you, Ashley. You’re the kind of person we need more of in the medical field.

Experiencia fantástica: I had a great experience when I had a health concern that required an ER visit at Jordan Valley Medical Center. Dr Parker was very professional and took great care of me. My nurses Shannon and Andrea was very kind and took the time to listen to my needs and responded timely. The Director Brooklyn of the ER department also paid a visit and made sure I was doing okay. All around a great experience even though I was feeling horrible.

Experiencia fantástica: Wow! Where do I start?! When my husband and I arrived for our induction of baby #4 we were not expecting an experience like this at all! Our nurses did an excellent job each shift to ensure my little family was cozy and comfortable. From start to finish the nurses made sure to check on me and walk me through everything. I even had an anxiety attack BUT my nurse coached me through it. Also the anesthesiologist who gave me my epidural. AMAZING!!! He was so patient and professional. Let me just say I am done having kids but I would absolutely have more if I could have them here lol totally kidding I'm done BUT this place from the hospital to the nurses and anesthesiologist and to my Dr. (Epstein) were all so amazing and unforgettable. I would definitely recommend!!

Experiencia fantástica: Had my baby boy at Jordan Valley Medical Center on 3/18/21. Had a wonderful experience! The nurses were so friendly and informative, always asking me where my pain was at and making sure me and the baby were taken care of. The facility felt updated and the rooms were very spacious. The food was yummy and was brought up to us in a timely manner. I would definitely have another baby at this hospital and recommend to others the same.

Experiencia fantástica: I’m so glad I give birth to my second daughter here. I had my first daughter at a birthing center and didn’t have a great experience. At Jordan Valley I had so much support from all the nurses for my entire visit. I felt so taken care of and everyone was so kind. My doctor was amazing as well and helped to make this experience so much better and more positive than my last. If I have another I will definitely do it here again.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been to this hospital many times over the years, as we live fairly close. The majority of the time we have gone there, mostly to the ER, we have had very little problem getting in and being taken care of quickly. The staff is always professional, kind, caring and on top of things. During my most recent visit to the ER, I was treated with respect, caring and every doctor and nurse I had interaction with went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable, and taken care of. From the very first person who greeted me, to the man who checked me in and took me back to my room, I felt like my health was a priority and that I was in good, safe hands. The only issue we have ever had with this ER was several years ago when I took my young son in after he had eaten an unknown object. As a young mother, I was very scared because my baby had eaten something, choked on it slightly and then swallowed it down. I was pretty sure it was a small watch battery. Most of the employees in the Er were understanding and didn’t me like I had lost my mind and was overreacting. However, there was one nurse who took us to get an x-ray who repeatedly laughed when he asked about that had happened. I was very upset, my son was crying and this nurse did not make it any easier. Fortunately, we did not have to deal him for very long and my son ended up being fine. I feel lucky to have a hospital so close where I feel comfortable enough to go when myself, or someone in my family, needs care. The most recent time I needed to go to the ER, I didn’t hesitate to go to Jordan Valley. I appreciate the help and care I received there and will definitely continue to go there in the future.

Experiencia fantástica: Following an accident involving an alligator bite, I was brought to Jordan Valley for treatment. I didn’t have any idea what to expect, but I was blown away by the attentiveness of the staff from the second I got there to walking out the door the day I was discharged — they actually escorted me to the parking lot. No one wants to spend days in the hospital, but I can truthfully say I felt safe, taken care of, and personally cared about the entire time I was there. The staff — especially my surgeon — were incredibly good at their jobs and made every procedure as easy on me as it could be. Specific shout-out to the PICC line team! On the day I went home, their lead nurse met with me to make sure I was prepared to leave and had all the information necessary to move forward — an incredibly conscientious and unexpected act. I don’t think I could possibly be more satisfied with the service and attentiveness.

Experiencia fantástica: I went to the breast care center for my first mammogram. The staff was very helpful. They got me in quickly, explained the procedure throughly, and addressed common concerns and questions in a way that made me feel comfortable with an otherwise awkward procedure. I was very impressed and will feel confident about returning there for future procedures. Thank you!
