Experiencia fantástica: Almost a year to this day, I was injured at the beach by a "rogue" wave that broke my shoulder and arm and my are was severely bruised. Within a week, Dr. Messina from Carolina Sports Med prescribed that I take therapy and I went to Shoreline PT. I want the public to know that the experience I had with Shoreline, their COMPLETE staff, was amazing. I am convinced that they were key in my recovery. I was in so much pain and coupled with fear, I needed not only to be given exercises but encouragement. I received way more from Shoreline than I anticipated. Originally I had a bad experience here with confusing issues around the insurance, but their office called me and asked me to come back in and give them another chance. Experiencia fantástica: I had a great experience with Shoreline Physical Therapy. All the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. Doug did a great job - not just of diagnosing me, but of explaining the diagnosis and how we would approach the recovery. Having the app with all of the stretches and exercises recorded made it really easy to stay on track outside of appointments. Doug pushed me to continue to try new exercises to regain my strength while ensuring that I had the right form and that I was not over-exerting myself. In just a few months, Doug helped me recover from consistent muscle and nerve pain to almost no pain at all. Beyond that he gave me an understanding of the form I needed to maintain to avoid re-injury in the future and indicators to look for that may mean my form wasn't correct and I should stop. I could not recommend Shoreline Therapy and Doug Miller more highly!

Experiencia fantástica: Shoreline has a great team. They’ve gotten me through two knee surgeries over 2 years (ACL reconstruction, separate meniscus repair) in July of 2020 and October of 2022. They work well to push you along and progress; they won’t take you past what you‘re capable of but won’t let you slack, either. Set your goals and they’ll get you there. Shoreline is highly recommended.

Experiencia fantástica: Went to Shoreline for hip pain thinking it was age/arthritis related but after my consult with Jai he determined it was actually my back. So after prescribing some stretching exercises my hip felt extremely better in such a short time. Also had the opportunity to work with Steve & Doug. These folks know their stuff and make therapy a pleasant experience.

My therapist ,Doug Miller, created an excellent rehabilitative program for both in house and at home. After 4 to 5 weeks I have experienced a 100% turn around!. When I began working with Jai, I couldn't throw a ball to my dog without pain, due to tears in labrum and rotator cuff area. Hoping to avoid surgery, I worked with Shoreline for three months over the summer. By the end of August, I pitched five innings without pain for the first time in 20 years. The surgery went very well but at 80 years old I knew I had serious work ahead of me to get back any semblance of normal strength and flexibility. Experiencia fantástica: I rehabbed a shoulder reconstruction surgery with Shoreline a few years back. I just recently started getting their informational emails and it made me think of them and how amazing the services they offer are. My only regret is that I didn't meet them before I had surgery. I believe working with them would have prevented me having to undergo the knife. I worked mostly with Steve and he is a world class therapist. I know this for a fact because I had previously rehabbed with major league baseball therapist for two different organizations. I can assure you, Steve's knowledge and attention to detail put them to shame. Shoreline does not just treat the injury, they craft tailored programs for individuals. Although, I primarily worked with Steve, I also worked quite a bit with Jai and Doug. They are also awesome at what they do. I highly recommend using Shoreline to rehab any injury. Learn from my mistake and visit them before you undergo surgery, if possible, you may be able to avoid it.

After my recent knee surgery I was not looking forward to PT at all. I am SO glad I picked this office to do the PT. This whole experience has been fantastic, these men and women know what they are doing and their support staff are awesome too. This experience changed my entire opinion about PT and I highly recommend this group. The care I have received has been phenomenal, professional and personable all at the same time. He made orthotics for me ten months ago, gave me lots of information about what we were trying to do and how/why that might be accomplished. My initial appointment went very well. I just came from a followup appointment I made because I just wanted to be sure I was on track. I am so impressed with his professionalism, his kindness, his generosity. Throughout my time at Shoreline, Doug guided me through a series of exploratory exercises to first determine the exact cause of my shoulder pain, and then perfectly tailored a strengthening regimen (both in office and at home) to remedy the root cause of the pain. After approximately 8 weeks of working with Doug, the pain was 95% gone, with the remaining 5% to be achieved via an at home strengthening routine over the next two months. Experiencia fantástica: I was in two car accidents, one 4 years ago and the other 3 years ago. I am originally from Montana so I sought after a lot of different physical therapists there for help with my lower back and spine issues. I didn't see many results that lasted longer than a week's time until I moved to Wilmington NC and was referred to Doug at Shoreline. When I first met with him, my back was seized up and it was hard to even sit down/stand up without extreme pain in my lower back/hips. Within the first visit or two with Doug, I saw drastic results and my back felt relief that I hadn't felt since before my accidents. He did an excellent job easing into a good routine of stretches for me because he wanted to fully understand my problem areas first. I have been working with him for months now and only feel occasional discomfort/pain in my hip but feel a million times better than a couple months ago and the last 4 years as well. Thank you Doug for making my back feel like it should again and always making my visits comfortable! And thank you Shoreline Physical Therapy for your positive attitudes!

Give these pros a try, you will be happy and relieved that you did. Having a degree in exercise and a background in physical therapy (and having been a patient at different practices) I am picky about the practices I go to as I want knowledgeable and honest people working with me. Shoreline definitely fits the bill! They are patient, willing to try different approaches when something doesn’t work, they’re friendly and fun to work with!!!

Experiencia fantástica: Amazing and knowledgeable staff. While doing your exercises, each Physical Therapist in the office will interact with you, creating a personal connection! That way, when you are done with any certain exercise, you will never be left alone. I love the aspect of working with each PT in the office, as each has new exercises to offer up, and that way it is never awkward to ask for help! I’ve never met more knowledgeable PT’s, they create an enjoyable environment that sparks rapid healing, and explain the reason behind every exercise you will do. When you understand why you are doing something, you will be more inclined to do it correctly and excited to do it both in and out of the office! It is amazing how quickly you heal when you understand why you are doing what you are doing and when you do the home exercises that are prescribed for you!
