Experiencia fantástica: I was a patient at Central Mass after an ACL tear and the resulting surgery. TJ and Mike helped me with my initial recovery and strength building to get me back into playing rugby and running long distance. After initial PT, I attended TJ's ACL return to sport training classes to help build my strength and agility up to a competitive level. I was back to playing rugby at 9 months, and playing in my competitive season at the 12 month mark! I don't think this would have happened without their consistent and thorough care. Central Mass has great hours that accommodate my busy schedule as well, so I was able to continue my rehab without having to cut work hours. Thanks again TJ and Mike! -Hannah

I got to work with TJ further into my recovery and he provided me with various workout plans to help keep me on track outside of appointments as well. They are always warm and supportive and truly brighten everyone’s day . I have been fortunate to have the expertise of Robyn Hillard and Jackie Shakar as my physical therapists . The improvement in my knee has been incredible thus far during my less than two months of treatment. They are both extremely knowledgeable and kind and their therapy has helped to dramatically increase the flexibility and strength in my knee while helping to decrease the pain . They also have given me a very effective home exercise program that has helped me to reinforce what they have taught me. I have always heard so many favorable comments from friends who have been treated at CMPT and now I know why . I have also witnessed the treatment of many others during my time at CMPT and it is evident that this staff is second to none . I give CMPT my highest level of recommendation and will continue to spread the word of their knowledge, commitment, and compassion for every patient . Having this type of care truly makes a difference in the rehabilitation process, but also creates such a warm and welcoming environment for everyone. I have been going to CMPT since January due to numerous health concerns. Brian has constantly worked with me to keep trying and working to reach my goals. Experiencia fantástica: After a significant surgery, I needed to find a physical therapy clinic. My son recommended CMPT in West Boylston because of the positive experience he had had there. On my first day of physical therapy, I was greeted by a courteous office staff. It was a welcoming atmosphere. All my sessions began promptly at the assigned time. I was so fortunate to be able to work with Katy Jones and Margaret DiPilato as my physical therapists. They were both so kind, patient, and professional. They were invested in my recuperation making sure that that the exercises were executed correctly. Katy and Margaret were diligent in making sure that I regained my strength. Their expertise and skill were invaluable in helping me recover so that I can resume the activities that I love. I am so grateful for the care and support they provided me during my physical therapy journey. I would highly recommend CMPT for all of your physical therapy needs.

Experiencia fantástica: It was an awesome experience working with Donna Layman. My son immediately warmed up to her. Donna developed an exercise and strengthening program that completely addressed the knee pain my son was experiencing. She followed up on progress every week and adjusted the therapy accordingly. Donna was also excellent at providing info and tips related to my son's running program. We are extremely happy with the results of the physical therapy Donna performed.

Experiencia fantástica: TJ did a great job helping me out with chronic neck pain. With a combination of massage therapy, stretching, mobility and strength exercises, I am more equipped to manage any neck pain in the future. Mike also did a great job with providing dry needling work and chiropractic adjustments. Central Mass Physical Therapy has a talented and well experienced group of physical therapists!

Experiencia fantástica: Top notch facility - I have had PT here more than once and travel 45 minutes, because it is worth it. Most recently worked with Mike R who is an expert in his craft - within a month of starting PT, unexplained pain in my neck started to alleviate itself from adjustments made in my work station and how I use my devices. I have remained pain free since and I'm grateful! No place else I would ever go for PT services!

Experiencia fantástica: After dealing with a double total knee replacement 7 weeks apart, the most important part of the recovery is the rehab. I was fortunate to have two incredible Physical Therapists work with me. Donna Layman and Laura Kidman guided me , pushed me and got me to a place where I wasn't expecting to be until later this year. Thier attention to detail and ability to tune my exercises to my needs, have me back walking 18 holes every day and starting tennis again. Thank you Central Mass for having such talented people on your team

Experiencia fantástica: As a person who has had many reasons to need PT over the years, Jackie is truly extraordinary. She has a very deep understanding of what causes pain/dysfunction of every joint. She listens intently, watches us perform the exercises she instructs us to, and makes subtle or extreme changes in how or what to do based on her keen observations. She understands how to care for aging bodies. Her approach is gentle, encouraging and humble. I use the plural since I have come to find out that 5 of my friends go to her and all have had similar experiences. Every visit I learn more about how to make my joints more healthy and keep them that way. She truly cares.The staff is kind, courteous and efficient. I cannot recommend Jackie and the entire CMPT office more highly.

The people there were really great to work with. I typically worked with TJ and was fortunate enough to also get different workout plans to improve my strength at home as well.

Experiencia fantástica: Donna came highly recommended to me. I had rotator cuff surgery and after 3 months I was in a lot of pain with minimal movement. I switched to Donna and in two weeks she has got my arm moving and my pain decreased. And what I love more is she explains everything she is doing, and is gentle with my arm. She is amazing and I’m so grateful to have gotten in with her.

Experiencia fantástica: I had ACL reconstruction in November of 2022. I can’t recommend TJ enough for anyone with a knee injury or specifically an ACL reconstruction . He has so much attention to detail and was progressing my home program every session from my my first visit to my last. My knee is feeling great and I’m back to doing everything I was doing before without pain. I’m happy and my surgeon is happy. Big shout out to TJ and CMPT!

Experiencia fantástica: Of all the various physical therapy clinics I have been to THIS is the one that I can hands-down recommend! I worked with Mike Curnen and Kaitie Naughton and they are both highly skilled, enthusiastic about their craft, and empathetic. I had been to numerous practitioners for help with my chronic ankle pain - even going as far as having surgery!! Despite all the custom orthotics, steroid shots, KT tape.. nothing worked. My podiatrist's "solution" was that I walk less (keep in mind, I'm in my mid-30s and very active). I'm so thankful a friend told me about this clinic. Truly, it's changed my life. My husband is now also working with Mike on some chronic shoulder pain and, only a few weeks in, it's been a gamechanger for him as well. Five Stars!

They are tough and get the problem area back to normal or better. I had Laura Kidman for most of it and she was tough but the greatest. I also had Donna Layman a few times and she had a different way of working me but worked out the same results. I already have recommended them and will again and again.

My daughter came in with lower back pain, and every time we went, TJ was very knowledgeable and receptive to things that bothered her and found the root of the issue very professionally. The take home exercises my daughter was given not only alleviated pain but also strengthened the area for further injury prevention. To top it all off, the front desk was nothing short of friendly and appointments were always on time. I would highly recommend to anyone in need of physical therapy!

Experiencia fantástica: I had the pleasure to work with Donna Layman for 6 months. I had two significant medical events within a short period of time and was so pleased with her excellent PT sessions. Donna provided instruction, guidance and education during each session. She provided a safe environment due to my balance limitations. Her feedback was very helpful and a source of motivation. The weekly documentation provided me instruction reminders for each exercise. I have continued with these exercises and have been gradually resumed my workouts. I would not have made progress without her expertise. Donna is kind, patient and compassionate and was available for consultation. I highly recommend her and CMPT. It was a very positive experience.

Experiencia fantástica: Central Mass Physical Therapy is staffed with the most amazing, talented, caring staff who will help you get the recovery results you want after an injury. I fell skiing in March and twisted/sprained my knee and tore my quad - badly enough that I needed the rescue sled to get me down the mountain. I was lucky enough that I wasn’t going to need surgery and was cleared for PT 3 weeks after falling. From there, I wanted to build back my hiking strength. TJ worked with my goals, my injury, and my progress to model a continuously more challenging program that got me not only back on the trails but able to conquer a couple new personal bests and return to New Hampshire’s 4000-footers by early July! In addition to this wonderful progress and healing, I want to also say that I absolutely love the way that TJ and all the other therapists at CMPT listen, encourage, and treat patients with respect. As a heavy, nearly 50-year old woman, I’ve had my share of encounters with medical professionals that don’t do that. It was fantastic to work with a team that was truly on my side in achieving the athletic goals I set for myself. I’m so very happy with their work.

Experiencia fantástica: I honestly cannot thank Central Mass Physical Therapy and Wellness enough for not only helping me reach my goal of running the Boston Marathon despite several injuries but then to help me rehab after the race. I recommend them to everyone I work with and all my friends and family. Each physical therapist is kind and works with you to create a plan that works toward your goals. I have worked with them for running related injuries as well as a shoulder injury from work and each time they helped me not only heal and progress towards my goals but also educate me on further steps to strengthen each weak point to avoid future injuries.

Experiencia fantástica: Went to CMPT last December to begin Prehab for a rt TKR that I had April ‘23. Thanks to Physical Therapist Kaitie & Marc for the excellent care I received. They worked with me during the prehab phase to ready me for the surgery and the rehab phase after surgery. I looked forward to my sessions with them, especially their support and guidance. These sessions and the at home exercises had me walking like my old self within 3 months of my surgery. CMPT is a great place to receive PT - the atmosphere and all the folks there made all the difference in my recovery. I highly recommend them!

Experiencia fantástica: I'm updating my review after talking to the owner. Mike agreed that the new cancellation policy needs a bit of work and will not charge me for calling in sick on the same day. He was quite pleasant and asked me how I was feeling and is very good at what he does. The staff that has treated me have been first class all the way. I will be going back.

Experiencia fantástica: I just completed a course of physical therapy with Connor McLaughlin at the Lancaster location. He was excellent and helped me to resolve IT Band pain I had. He did a through assessment each visit and would add on additional home exercises for me to continue. I was able to improve my normal walking routine and will continue to work on my core strengthening and balance exercises. My appointments were always on time and he never seemed to rush me during my visit. In addition , it was great to have this location so close (3 min.away) from home as I had always gone to the West Boylston location in the past for therapy. Experiencia fantástica: I have had a lot of physical therapy in my life, but this place is hands down the best. They are so knowledgeable and seem truly invested in getting you better. I often need a lot of tinkering to fit my exercises to my body. Every time my therapists patiently tweak and adjust I am reminded how grateful I am to have found this place.

Experiencia fantástica: Shay Gallagher is the BEST! I had had a lingering issue with pain in my right leg starting in July 2022. After going to my primary care doctor’s office in October and December with no improvement , I got a referral for PT. Met with Shay on January 11 for the initial assessment. She really listened and took in all the information I relayed. After diagnosing me with an angry nerve coming from my lower back, Shay developed a treatment plan. I saw Shay and Connor Dougherty on alternating visits. Within 2 weeks, there was tremendous improvement. I’ve followed the rehab program at home which they adjusted, added to over the past month. I was discharged on Monday and gearing up to hike Upper Holt at Mt. Cardigan in NH this weekend. Highly, highly, highly recommend Shay, Connor, and CMPT!

Experiencia fantástica: I was nervous about starting PT after wrist surgery, I haven't had the best PT experience in the past at other places. CMPT is now the only place I will ever go for PT!!! I've worked with Donna & Shay for a few months and have complete range of motion & use of my wrist. They're both kind, very knowledgeable and work well together as a team. Everyone at the front desk is always pleasant and caring. Other therapist I encountered are very friendly and happy. Thank you CMPT! You're all amazing!!!

Experiencia fantástica: After years of repeated injuries, pain and Doctors I was recommended to go to Central MA PT from my Doctor’s office. I was very nervous going in, but Connor McLaughlin takes the time to understand your situation, sets realistic expectations, and finds creative ways to help you to improve. He is incredible at listening and understanding where you are coming from and what each patient needs. Connor helped me after an ankle injury, before surgery, and then after surgery. My recovery was so quick after surgery due to Connor’s expertise and motivation for me to reach my goal of healing and strength. Connor is incredibly smart, and he finds ways to explain what is happening so the patient fully understands where they are at in the process, and so the patient can make the connections of how each treatment or exercise is impacting the body. It is also fun when you have your appointment. Connor always switches it up so you keep finding new ways to progress. Connor was flexible with appointment times and always focused on his patients during those appointments. I would not of gotten to the place I am at in my recovery without Central MA PT and Connor.

Experiencia fantástica: A few years ago I was referred to CMPT by my son who stated “they’re the best! I’ve used this location a few times after knee replacement and injuries; I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I’m going now after a full tear rotator cuff surgery and I see Laura, who is AMAZING! Always the eternal pessimist Laura pushes me to the point of now believing I will get better. When I first went there I literally could only take my hand and wave it left and right, now I’m able to lift my arm over my head. Along with exercise & massaging of the muscles I leave there feeling great. I love her positivity and energy, I actually look forward to going. Also, the entire staff is equally as great; everyone is very pleasant & accommodating. If you have an appointment at 10:00, you will not wait, I never have. I know in the near future I will need a second knee replacement and this is the place I’ll come to for post surgery PT..

Once you get inside you feel like your being taken care of, from the office staff to the therapists. They all have a genuine investment in your recuperation! Experiencia fantástica: Before I went to my previous podiatrist I had two Cortisone shots which did not help me whatsoever and went through two rounds of PT which consisted of 6 to12months with nothing that really helped. I went for a second opinion to my new fantastic podiatrist and he referred to central mass PT and I had Laura she is absolutely amazing she worked on my injury not just tape my up and send me home with exercises.She got me out of pain which I had going on for 1-1/2 years she gave me tools that I needed to help myself get better. It has been a long road for me considering I did not have the correct therapy before. I am here to say if you want to have a PT that actually works this is where you need to go! Experiencia fantástica: CMPT is like family to me. The whole staff works together as a well oiled machine to do its best for a positive outcome. The therapy they provide prior to and after surgeries and/or injuries aides in one's recovery and the regaining of strength. Additionally, those working in the front office are always so kind & helpful; always with a solution and a smile. Telehealth visits with Jackie Shaker were necessary during the pandemic, and it went very well. I was seen in my own home environment and exercises were tailored specifically to my needs in that particular space. Truly amazing! Graduating from PT to "wellness health" classes with Matt was an added bonus. Matt works directly with the therapists and modifies exercises & circuits to exactly what you need. You might not be ready "just yet" for a particular exercise, but with the right modification you can build up and eventually master that exercise. Over the years, I've worked with many of the CMPT therapists, and each & every one treated me with the utmost respect & quality of care. If you are looking for PT or Wellness Health, you need not look any further. CMPT is the best option for you.

Experiencia fantástica: Central Mass PT is just next level care and truly the best. I’ve unfortunately been injured quite a lot and have tried other PT centers across the gamut over the years, but the philosophy of treating that particular injury and not looking at the whole body would just perpetuate getting injured again. I had reinjured my Achilles and I remember telling someone I was going to CMPT and they were like “you’re in great hands” and I wholeheartedly agree! From my first visit with Mark I finally have addressed other issues in my core and my hips that were impacting my Achilles. No other PT over the years ever did that. My Achilles or a shoulder or elbows would just be treated but no one addressed other connected issues in the body. I returned a few months later to CMPT and Mark for a bicep issue that was of course more than the bicep. As always I knew I was in great hands. Mark was a lot of fun, great listener and always gave me options and explained the why we were doing something. I highly recommend him and CMPT! As I got better I started working with Matt on lifting and strengthening, as well as relearning proper techniques and gaining confidence that I won’t reinjure something again! Matt has customized a personal plan for me and Has been fantastic to work with. I love that Mark and Matt can collaborate on my plan and I can finally get back to what I enjoy doing. But you don’t have to be an athlete or weekend warrior at CMPT. CMPT treats a wide variety of folks. The front staff is super friendly and always greats you with a smile. This is truly a very special place with very gifted and special people.

The front desk staff is amazing, fielding calls, arranging appointments and most of all a positive and welcoming introduction to the facility. Mike Roberts has personally saved me from back surgery. A true healer and motivator. I have to say you have to put in the work to get results, but there has never been a more knowledgeable person in my life to get me off the couch. Matt Mccloud personal trainer who also supports the staff has been amazing. Picking the correct exercises and collaborating with the Physical Therapists. There is always a watchful eye, positive reinforcement and a very very positive environment.

He has so much knowledge and gave me some exercises and stretches and in a few visits I felt much better and both times I was able to run again. I recommend this place for anybody that needs PT. Besides him I believe that all the professionals there are great, they really care about the patients.

Experiencia fantástica: I was referred to Central Mass PT by my PCP, who recommended them for some neck issues I was having. I worked with Mike R, who was absolutely wonderful. At my initial appointment, he was able to identify some strength issues and recommend some exercises and stretches to alleviate my issues. Within a few weeks, my problem was 95% better. I am so pleased with my results, and would absolutely recommend Central Mass PT to anyone requiring physical therapy!

Experiencia fantástica: I would not go anywhere else. I found out about Central Ma. Pt from working out with a trainer at the gym. Despite my disabilities they have always show me the highest level of care. I have worked with two of the best physical therapists in the business, Mike and Dan. When I first started going there my problem was my back. Both worked so hard to bring me back to a higher level. They knew the right exercises. When I needed surgery in 2015 they worked with me at the facility and provided me with the correct home exercises. The knew the areas where I needed to make progress. With their efforts I was able to reach a fully functional level.. It is now a few years later and Mike and Dan are still there for me. I had a knee replacement on my right leg last July. With their help I have a fully functional right knee. The non operated knee has been a problem but with their program that knee has improved remarkably. But for Mike and Dan my current circumstances might have been much different. I am so glad to have worked with them. They are wonderful people and their patience with me has been tremendous. Now I am working with Matt for personal training. I watched him train others. I regarded Matt as outstanding motivator. Although I have worked with him only a few times I am doing better. My legs feel stronger and the non operated knee is better. He personalizes his program to make it fit each area of need. When I walk into Central Ma PT I am greeted by a warm and friendly staff, like Meredith and Liz. They reflect the positive atmosphere of Central Ma. PT. I feel very fortunate to be their patient. I will be one of their patients so long as there is a need. Thanks again.
